Just watched some of the U23s latest match. We have some cracking youngsters there who will soon be pushing for a place in the 1st X1, MaDonagh is a real handful as a striker, and young Appiah is a threat to any defence, Edser a calm head and Coveney a real promising centre back. I hope they get some chances this season.

Saying that though what about Brereton, every time he's played this season he's just been a wandering minstrel for me. Would rather see Cummings getting some decent game time.

Yes bens impact this season has been minimal. Played out wide, can only think that MW thinks his presence out there will draw defenders to him.

Ben is wasted out wide. We have enough gah wide men at the club without him being played there

He's tried McKay there against Leeds,but he doesn't have the same impact on the right as the left.
Can't see carayol being any use on the right and ward is injured,think the idea is for him to use his pace and cut inside to make an extra striker when he can.
He's only a kid even though he's so strong,his decision making has been his biggest problem,but that will come with experience .
Dowell is same looked good for one game,but not been at his best since,but you can see the talent is there in both and they'll come good.

BB doesn't look ready to play every week and didn't towards the end of last season either. Give him a break from the first team and give him a break a few good games and expectations rise to silly levels, we put too much pressure on these boys
