To all you fellow posters who insist on keeping with mw. For all our sakes i hope we give a battlkng performance against sheff u. If any of the humiliated 3, hobbs, licha, velios vet picked and we lose then they will get the " i told you so " remarks. But these players need a run i the team not judged on kne performance.
I cannot get to matches these days so rely on commentary, tv etc. For those who stump and follow the reds home and away can you really see improvement in the team?
We are not judging mw on 10 games. He had 3 months last season, the summer and nearly 2 months of this season. By the sounds of things attacking wise we had better 2nd halves against villa and fullham creating more chances but simply not scoring. Well if you leave the back door open you will get burgled and that is his achilles heel. Playing footy is one thing but doing the dirty work defensively is the springboard for success. It is pretty much a given that succesfull teams have settled well drilled defence. So with the changes forced tomorrow will the line up be given a chance to gel? The slide needs to be halted and this game against a streetwise battling sheffield will be another great yardstick. A battling draw could just be the launch pad needed. Has mw got it?
Lets hope so😃.

What is it with the Hobbs fans? Yes he can play, but there are two things wrong with Hobbs. 1) He is injury prone, some can not accept that. 2) For all his quality he is slow, combine that with his high wages that makes him a player that needs to leave the club, but like many others over years he clings on to the bitter end.

Probably cause mills can't play is slow and on high wages

Rutland why do you say Hobbs is clinging on? Do you know something we don't? Given a choice between him and Mills I know who I'd pick - I agree with many on here who think the defence needs a shake-up, so why not try a different line-up?

Ok swiss red lol i posted at 3am. Ppl miss the point. Hobbs if hobbled should be paid off. Indurance will cover it. So all i am saying is we should have some clarity re hobbs licha and velios. " not in my plans " like a normal msnager would say. Its playing lesser quality players that we just don't get.
Our slump in fortune coincides with vaughn being sidelined too. Bridcutt does not have the same bite or quality of pass!!!!

On what basis is everyone saying Hobbs is not NOW fit? Yes he has had his problems but unless someone is in the know he has not broken down when called upon under MW and has certaintly looked more solid than the other centre backs.
It seems MW is not prepared to give him a run rather than his fitness not allowing him?

Hobbs is our best cb. Yes he is injury prone but he needs a run of games. If he is a high earner can we at least get some value for money out of him? We don't get that if he is sat on the bench. that's why we can't sell him either. What would you do in his place? "Hobbsy, you can go and play at this other team for about 10 grand a week less, or you can stay here and sit on the bench". " hold on gaffer. Can I think about it?"
If he was a youngster he would be off to play football but the rest of you would do exactly the same. He needs games.

Hobbs needs a run of games? If he is not fit he is unable to play, if fit a run of games means he will get injured. We can not sell him as he is not fit for long enough, he should have retired at least 2 years ago.
