Some divvy site is saying were an outside bet to sign Nacer Chadli!

Believable0 2Unbelievable

18 Jul 2018 22:33:23
Not really divvy to call us an outside bet, when he's going for 18 mill and is proven class and we've paid 13 mill for a potential class player??

Lam was given some playing time in Spain. Karanka seemed pleased with him.

Agree2 1Disagree

18 Jul 2018 09:15:05
Lam is fairly good one the ball so maybe we could use him as a utility player and deploy him as a DM as well

Agree1 1Disagree

18 Jul 2018 13:49:35
Lam was more of an attacking threat than defensive. He also had a decent shot on him. He may have a future as a midfield player. Skeg needs to take him on a night out or two so he can bulk up a bit on the amber gold!

Agree1 1Disagree

18 Jul 2018 18:52:47
Lam not good enough for the championship, hope we’re not relying on him this season

Agree2 0Disagree

18 Jul 2018 19:22:29
And ain't that the truth Stevie, poor player all round,we've signed better and stronger players don't see the point in him hanging around.

16 Jul 2018 21:58:34
Looks like Lee tomlin is heading our way ??
Surprise, surprise was always going to happen.
Can't see were he'd fit in with all these young quick fit players, not a good idea imo.

Believable7 14Unbelievable

16 Jul 2018 22:59:42
And where have you got this from ? Karanka has said he wants a RB and a DM. Would be paying a lot of money for a player who'd start on the bench

Agree2 0Disagree

16 Jul 2018 23:09:06
You need quality on the bench aswell as the starting eleven will be a good addition

Agree2 2Disagree

16 Jul 2018 23:49:24
Well he's changed his mind and going for an LT. He thinks there very reliable?? 🤔🤔🤔

Agree0 2Disagree

16 Jul 2018 23:17:33
Tomlin will fit in perfectly as he will have fast legs around him responding to his quick brain and like Reidy will be the older head pulling the strings of the young bucks at the sharp end of the pitch!

The Ringmaster directing all the class acts around the pitch. He will score doublr figures if he lands.

I do wish people would stop being so negative especially given the dross we have had to put up with in recent years.

The futures bright the futures Forest so smile!

Welcome addition for me if it happens.Karanka will probably rotate the midfield and forwards quite often especially when we have midweek games. We have the pace and runners now, totally agree RIE.

17 Jul 2018 02:16:44
Probably another loan otherwise he would be at Forest already? Premier League wages could be slowing the move up.

It keeps saying he's free to leave Cardiff Have they terminated his contract. If he's free we should snap him up.
It's a long season and not all these Portuguese players will last. Get tomlin byram mings colbeck all on loan
Win win

Ra, i think you will find that means he has been told he is not wanted by Cardiff, not they will let him go for nothing.

Warnock has told him to do one.
He misunderstood what Warnock meant when he told him to go to "weight watchers" and has spent the last six weeks in McDonald's.

Sunderland look set to sign a defensive midfielder, after being linked with Leadbitter (as have Forest) .

With leadbitter said to not be part of Pulis' plans this season, could he make the switch to the CG?

Would be a good player for us IMO. Maybe not a starter but good depth in that position.

Also, cracking result earlier today from the boys #COYR.

Believable2 3Unbelievable

16 Jul 2018 15:21:22
With the wages he will most likely want he would have to be a first choice player, too expensive just to be a back up player.

Agree2 0Disagree

16 Jul 2018 15:52:20
Would his wages be higher or lower than Jack Colback's?

Agree0 0Disagree

16 Jul 2018 16:31:08
J65. I do not know, i would have thought similar wages, but the differences for me are that the manager has shouted from the rooftops that he wants Colback back at Forest, therefore would be a first choice player. Leadbitter has not had the manager say anything about him since joining Forest as far as i know and you are saying that he would only be second choice so no comparison can be made on wages. Just wasted money on a second choice player.

Agree1 0Disagree

16 Jul 2018 18:37:53
Sooner have Colback all day long alongside Watson rather then The Legbiter who is on the wane now

Agree3 0Disagree

17 Jul 2018 11:46:26
Fair points. It depends if AK wants to add depth or quality to that position. Leadbitter would provide more depth at cheaper price (both signing fee and wages). That was why I posted it

Agree0 0Disagree

15 Jul 2018 12:32:22
Waghorn doing the rounds again but they want "a lotta money for him". Keep him I say, I'd rather have Olivera back out the two of them. He's been left out the Norwich squad for pre-season so could get him cheap or on a freebie.

Believable4 3Unbelievable

15 Jul 2018 13:02:51
Krankie said he's not after another striker. Just a right back and midfielder.

Agree4 2Disagree

15 Jul 2018 16:26:14
AK is not after another striker because unlike many on here he knows how good BB is going to be ,why are so many keen for him to go I just don,t know ,for a 19 year old he,s a real handful and will suprise many this season ,he had his confidence badly knocked by MB but will regain it and shut his critics up ,get off the lads back !
CARLO

Agree8 10Disagree

15 Jul 2018 17:33:44
Carlo don't quite agree yes he is a young lad at 19 but to me there is no end product yes he can run teams ragged but that's it and to be honest the only good game i saw him play really well was against arsenal a loan to a div 1 club imo would do him the world of good imo !!!

Agree10 4Disagree

15 Jul 2018 18:04:00
Is that from when they promised to make a board game themed on him then dropped him at The last minute Carlo?

Agree0 0Disagree

Yep that’s right billy no doubt. There you go Carlo billy has said it too. If you can score goals you’re good enough and old enough . .

Agree4 1Disagree

15 Jul 2018 20:22:50
If he was that good he wouldn't be playing for forest.
that 19 year old is exceptional and you can't compare them.

Agree6 7Disagree

15 Jul 2018 20:28:58
This season for me is make or break we must hit the ground running we cannot aford to carry young kids ie bb yates etc the owner has invested millions of pounds in the players if we don't get up will be hit ffp and could end up like villa or even the sheep just my opinion

Agree4 5Disagree

15 Jul 2018 20:40:44
I’m not comparing them. Brereton has to score in the championship my friend, not the World Cup final!

Agree6 0Disagree

15 Jul 2018 20:44:02
I agree with you APS, I’m all for it if they are good enough but if they’re not let them get their games and experience elsewhere, I can’t see what the issue is with that.

Agree3 0Disagree

15 Jul 2018 22:56:54
Well wait till the season starts billabong and judge him then not on last season, has got better players to provide for him hopefully.

Agree0 5Disagree

15 Jul 2018 22:57:20
Calm down Aps. The 3 year period of FFP started last year which was the year we made a profit. Considering the players we signed for high fees will be over 3 and 5 years respectively we should be ok with regards FFP for a couple more seasons.

Agree7 0Disagree

15 Jul 2018 23:06:10
A bit different having Grizemann as your strike partner compared to Velios Cummings just saying.

Agree5 0Disagree

15 Jul 2018 23:09:41
Well billy he isn't scoring in the championship either but then again who is !!

Agree0 0Disagree

16 Jul 2018 08:45:28
Strikers will score if they get service. Forest like England have had no creative midfielders to open up the chances. AK is addressing the midfield and pace out wide and so there will be no excuses for strikers not putting away a greater percentage of chances.

We will see how good BB is this season as part of a balanced team. I'm backing all 4 strikers to have good goal stats this season.

Agree5 0Disagree

16 Jul 2018 15:32:32
So you telling me Velios wouldn’t score with the right service? I’m sure he would but that doesn’t stop everyone on here saying he’s crap!

Agree0 0Disagree

16 Jul 2018 15:55:29
That's because he is crap with a capitol.not one manager has rated him and that's four,so best to go with their judgement I'd say.🤔

Cummings to Peterborough on a season long loan are we throwing down corn for a Marriot deal?

Believable5 2Unbelievable

13 Jul 2018 17:11:09
Might have thought that if we sold him as part of a deal it looks likely we’ll have to give him away can’t see a lot of interest coming our way for him
We’ll have to take a hit on him I’m thinking

Agree0 2Disagree

13 Jul 2018 19:49:04
Marriot like Cummings can’t play the lone role so I hope we don’t sign him. Brereton needs to go there too as he can’t play it either

Agree10 6Disagree

13 Jul 2018 20:00:50
Can you believe that Darragh MacAnthony has had the nerve to moan that Cummings was expensive!

Agree6 0Disagree

13 Jul 2018 20:09:49
I wouldn't be against Marriot coming our way if a reasonable price could be arranged and not the the silly numbers being touted around by the posh chairman.

I guess Cummings has gone there to see if they can mould him into a striker like they've done in the past with Gayle and Britt which makes me wonder if we should be looking to sign the Peterborough scouts/coaches instead of paying millions for their latest find in the bargain bins! (Which they keep doing).

When suggested that the Cummings deal could be linked to a Marriott deal, he reiterated that its not the case

I’m not to bothered if he doesn’t sign to be honest.the fact nobody else seems to want him for whatever reason suggests we should be careful.after all he hype and bugging up from posh about him nobody has bid.which shows he isn’t worth what they want and like a few have said he isn’t all that.

Don’t really understand this obsession with other people’s wages, aren’t we just fans? Let the owner worry about how much he pays his staff. , after all he is footing the bill not us,

Agree7 11Disagree

12 Jul 2018 21:27:01
Well said Stevie you'd think it was their money.

Agree2 10Disagree

12 Jul 2018 22:45:20
If it’s something you care about you’d be stupid not to think or worry about potentially huge amounts of money going through or out of our club. Just like you’d worry at work if there was no orders coming into the company but your boss all of a sudden swopped his bmw for an Aston Martin because he was sure that if everything went well a big order would drop in soon. There’s no getting away from the fact that we need to think about the welfare of our club as owners cannot continually pump money into a club, they don’t love the club in the same way as we do and we shouldn’t forget that. We don’t directly foot the bill but we have to deal with the consequences.
If I’ve taken the bait-congratulations but if it’s a genuine post I am shocked and surprised that that’s how you’re thinking 🤔

Agree8 3Disagree

13 Jul 2018 00:26:42
2tone sorry didn’t realise you were privy to the fine detail of how the clubs finances are structured, do you think the owner has suddenly just decided to throw HIS money around with no plan if he ha all the amateur accountants on here bleating won’t stop him , and if not the club might actually cease to be the modern day footballing irrelevance it has become over the last few years, nobody on here really knows what players are being paid , nobody on here’ knows the details of any negotiations with colback so why not leave it to the people who everybody has been saying are now running the club properly?

Agree5 13Disagree

13 Jul 2018 07:02:25
i don't think we can or should forget that we were in a transfer embargo due to FFP that almost ruined the club and had a massive effect on the footballing side of things. I trust the owner to make the right call etc but these things are important for championship clubs spending more than their income

Agree4 2Disagree

13 Jul 2018 07:24:52

wages are included in ffp though aren't they?

Agree1 0Disagree

13 Jul 2018 09:43:28
Steve. You obviously missed the point of what I was getting at. What money he is on is irrelevant. Colback has said that he won't budge off the wages he is on. (£40,000 a week is the reported figure). That is probably above what we are willing to pay otherwise he would already be here. I'd rather have a player that wants to come to play football than a player that wants to come for money.

Agree8 2Disagree

13 Jul 2018 10:44:28
Jenko it didn’t ruin the club though did it? We are now a couple of years later in a position where we have a better owner, a better run club , and spending millions on players,we are on the threshold of 1 of potentially the most interesting seasons for years , interest is higher than it has been for years and all we seem to get on here is people moaning about players wages. I got a good idea let’s see if pratley and whittingham are available,

Agree1 5Disagree

13 Jul 2018 11:03:38
Psycho if the management at the club think he’s worth the money they pay , if not they won’t didn’t miss your point just think it’s out of supporters hands we don’t know the real figures involved so aren’t in a position to make an informed comment

Agree2 6Disagree

13 Jul 2018 12:11:11
You did miss the point. The amount is irrelevant. I was referring to the player's intention. Does he want to play football or is his sole motivation just money??

The point is that this is a rumours banter site. All things Nottingham Forest are open to conjecture as we are Nottingham Forest fans! Almost any subject raised on this site is potentially a contentious issue! In essence we are here to offer opinions and embark upon in depth discussions along the way. Disagreements will arise as will misunderstandings! If this were not to be the case there would be no need for a site such as this. THAT'S the point! Oh and by the way COMMON YOU REDS!! I think that we can all agree on that point!

Agree0 0Disagree

13 Jul 2018 13:09:27
Stevie- it didn’t ruin the club though did it?? It nearly did mate and look at the state of some other clubs that have gone flat out and spent a fortune with no plan b ie. villa. We do appear to have a much more professional set up and hopefully we do have a long term back up policy but to be ignorant of the possible issues is ludicrous. If it doesn’t happen in the next year or two we will suffer for it. I’m quietly confident but also realistic and cautious about possible outcomes

Agree2 1Disagree

13 Jul 2018 13:28:19
2tone you can’t nearly ruin something, name me one major club that’s gone out of business you obviously have no faith in an owner who has a track record in running a biggest club than us successfully for a number of years

Psycho because a man doesn’t want to take a drop in wages how does that make him money motivated??i could understand it if he was asking for more money, and like I said if the club don’t think he’s worth it they won’t pay it will they

I have read the posts so I’ll have my say.
If Colback is holding out for the 40grand a week is this economically justifiable to NFFC?
If money is his only motivation surely we should look elsewhere.
If he was passionate about football he should realistically see he’s dropping down a division and thus his command of 40k a week is him throwing his toys out the pram wanting a club to meet his demands.
This says to me he thinks he's better and more than he’s actually worth.
Stevie f look at Villa and Terry as an example.
Benitez can keep him for me.
