2 very high quality goals from Tyler Walker on his Stevenage debut. He'll be a player for us. Even behind Walker and Cash we still have more up and coming youth. Worrall, Lacovitti, Gomis, Bereton and at least 2 very promising goalies in Evitimov and Erlandsson. We got PM. We got a good squad. Chin up guys. COYR!

I agree. On the field we doing better than expected at the moment. Most fans are so quick to moan and whinge about certain things that don't really affect the way we play. Get behind your team and stop criticising .

On the Mcgugan returning rumour.

My friend attended the end of season awards with the players. McGugan won the goal of the decade award. He was there to accept the award and spoke of his love for the club, made a comments that it was the best time of his career and was very humble about it all.

A good player on his day, would coming back to his home town club finally get the best out of him?

1.) 09 Aug 2016 10:10:43
Dont think we need another midfielder.

Id concentrate on a left winger and bring Benny Osborn back into the middle where he belongs.

2.) 09 Aug 2016 11:11:47
Benny didn't seem to get things going against Burton. Or am I being a bit harsh?

3.) 09 Aug 2016 11:26:45
That's what happens sometimes when players are asked to play out of their natural position.

4.) 09 Aug 2016 13:29:40
Not too fussed either way if he comes back. Would depend on if he actually met the manager and PM decided he had the right attitude and enough to give to the team.

One thing i would say in his favour is i would bet on him out scoring the rest of our mid. Not enough goals come from this area at the moment.

Lets hope people like Burke and Lansbury have set themselves a target of hitting ten goals each this season. They are both capable.

5.) 09 Aug 2016 14:39:45
They've only played 1 match!?

6.) 09 Aug 2016 15:34:28
Trust me Kassami will score plenty but would like to know who would people leave out at the expense of Ben Osborn if he were to play middle of midfield. Personally I don't think he's good enough to warrant a start.

7.) 09 Aug 2016 15:49:12
I agree that he may struggle for a place in a central role, following the arrival of Kassami.

8.) 09 Aug 2016 15:54:02
Pound for pound Osborn has been our best player for 2 seasons!

Lansbury
Kasami Osborn

Works for me.

9.) 09 Aug 2016 16:29:08
Probably explains why we've been a below average side for the past two seasons cjay.

10.) 09 Aug 2016 21:50:44
Osborn gives 110%, makes things happen and can score cracking goals. He's always be in the starting 11 for me.

11.) 10 Aug 2016 06:33:54
Who would we drop for mcgugan? I'd say if he did come in he would be 5th choice in centre midfield maybe lower! If we are bringing more players in we need another striker to help Britt out and 1 defensive midfielder. But really if we didn't get anyone else in, the squad isn't looking too bad.

12.) 10 Aug 2016 09:32:41
The missing piece to the team jigsaw PM is trying to create is Oliveria. Hopefully no one will pay the asking price and we can get him on loan again to play in the 10 role supporting Britt.

Benny can then share wing duties or even sit in front of the back four with Lansbury and Kasami in centre mid especially when Pinillos returns to left back and we have a solid back four.

Passing on what a nurse friend I know told me. Britt was in QMC last night. Broken tib and fib. Get well soon!

BDT33

1.) 12 Feb 2015 10:08:55
If he had a broken tub and fib would he be sat on two chairs (in a leg brace)having pictures took with someone?i think he would be in the operating theatre having an op to sort it ASAP.
No source just thinking with my head.

2.) 12 Feb 2015 10:17:00
Your nurse friend needs to find a new profession!

He's dislocated his knee cap, which could mean anything from a month or two out, or possibly until the Summer depending on the severity of the damage and the speed of recovery.

3.) 12 Feb 2015 10:20:23
They think he dislocated his knee, such a shame as he has done very well for a debut season, hope he's back before the end, get well soon Dave.

4.) 12 Feb 2015 10:29:48
Just seen a picture where the pyhsio is bending Britts knee. would they do that if he had broken his leg, very much doubt it but would they also do it if he's dislocated it?could do with a fawaz tweet

5.) 12 Feb 2015 10:45:12
It's a dislocated knee. Waiting for scans to see ligament damage but would be surprised to se him back this season. Looked like he was getting his mojo back last night. Speedy recovery Britt.

6.) 12 Feb 2015 10:48:17
Back 4 playoffs ????

7.) 12 Feb 2015 11:49:55
Was just passing on the text i received last night from someone working at qmc. i'm very glad it was wrong information. let's hope he returns before the end of the season.

8.) Cause surely if he had broken it they would of strapped it up in a leg brace on the pitch. But hopefully he can recover quick and come back stronger than ever!

9.) 12 Feb 2015 16:59:57
No chance of broken bones would of been immobilised on the pitch before being stretchered off, if it is a dislocated knee it could be a month out or longer depends if there is any secondary damage, followed by how Britt heals. I for one hope it's not bad and he is a fast healer. Fingers crossed.

10.) 12 Feb 2015 17:56:44
I'm more worried about the Cherps that the forest boys are putting on the bird site saying he will come back stronger.that to me says he's going to be out for a while, they don't normally say this when a player gets injured!

11.) 12 Feb 2015 21:10:41
Looks like britt is done for the season nothing confirmed but a few jounos say it

12.) 13 Feb 2015 14:05:12
If you just keep patient there will be an announcement later after he gets his scan results. The club don't know exactly what the damage is until after the scan.

13.) 13 Feb 2015 14:09:10
From the club site: Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga has been ruled out for 12 months following knee surgery.

On recent form I would definitely take Daryl Murphy on a 2 year deal. Not sure about 2 million for a 34 year old though. When players get into their 30's they can suddenly look a shadow of their former selves overnight. let's hope we don't get him at that stage of his career.

Hopefully he'll be the championships Ibra!

Also, good to see Ben and Velios step straight into goal scoring form 2 days after Britt leaves.

18 Jul 2017 07:41:46
Lets clear it up straight away. The club WILL NOT now go out and make 15 million pounds worth of signings. That is not how a loss making club opperates. And rightly so! After Burke was sold i got sick of hearing people say 'but we've got 13m to spend, why aren't we buying anyone? ' That is not how our club will move forward. Think back to Southampton when they sold Walcott and Ox for big money in league 1 and championship. They reinvested wisely and made the club sustainable. That should be the blueprint for our club.

Of course the other option if people prefer, is to blow the lot and join Portsmouth down the leagues with debt they will never recover from.

BDT33

1.) 18 Jul 2017 11:07:26
Fawaz pocketed the burke money. Never even touched the clubs accounts and was written off against paying back his loans.

If you want to know why Britt was sold look to Fawaz.

He has left the club in 90 million quid bank debt. Financially our club is in ruins.

2.) 18 Jul 2017 11:21:47
Can you back this up no22?link to the accounts you talk about?

3.) 18 Jul 2017 13:56:39
No 22 mysteriously reappears! 😵😵😵.

4.) 18 Jul 2017 14:32:06
People that want to see us blow millions immediately after the sale of Britt aren't proper football fans. They lack understanding of the situation Forest are in and probably have little understanding of football as a whole.

They judge players via YouTube clips and rate them on their transfer fees. The more expensive they are the better they must be. Every football club has them, there's lots of them unfortunately. They're usually the ones that shout the loudest too, especially on match day.

5.) 18 Jul 2017 14:32:56
No22 you can't back your claims up. Fawaz stated on camera in the Nat Jackson interview that all the Burke money went back into the club to cover running costs. But depends what you want to believe as he's gone now.

Plus everything else you said was what I said anyway. The club has been run poorly and needs to get a grip of itself financially so don't expect 15m worth of signings. Not sure what your argument is to be honest.

6.) 18 Jul 2017 16:08:39
And just as quick as his return he dissapears into his cave.

7.) 18 Jul 2017 16:54:45
We are now paying for Fawaz legacy of running the club so poorly so for him to say he had nothing to do with sale is a joke, things are not going to change overnight. As much as the club might have wanted to keep assabolonga, his clause in the contract handed him to by fawaz allowed him to leave. We got good money for him and I wish him all the best, as long as he doesn't find net against us still don't think boro will be in the top 2 though with the risk for his knee he had to get the best deal for himself!

I sure the management team have been looking at alternatives for some time now, so wait and see what progress, this season has to be one of stability, mid-table with some attacking attractive football at the city ground would do me fine!

8.) 18 Jul 2017 21:11:35
BDT33 excellent posts couldn't agree more.

19 Mar 2017 09:17:30
So are all the fans that jeered and booed Britt going to blame Fawaz when he wants to leave and Fawaz has to sell him?

BDT33

1.) 19 Mar 2017 10:07:06
On his current form who is going to buy him and what would be his value I was a massive fan of Britt.

2.) 19 Mar 2017 11:14:25
9 goals from 15 starts? Plenty will buy him. He would hit 30 in an attacking team like fulham, brighton or newcastle. One thing i will never do is try and knock our own players confidence during a match. It achieves absolutely nothing. Depending on the mentality of the player in question it can make them worse. Support the players we have right now. They are the ones that we have so why crush these guys when we have no one else?

3.) 19 Mar 2017 12:08:38
Well said BDT33. All players go through a bad run of form but it doesn't mean they've suddenly become bad players. Getting on his back is not going to help his confidence and we all need to get behind whoever the manager selects.

4.) 19 Mar 2017 13:19:14
Some love a scapegoat!

5.) 19 Mar 2017 13:30:31
Be positive for Britt. He is a goal machine and will come good again. Too many are too quick to want rid.

07 Jan 2017 13:36:02
A key thing we must do after the takeover is cut the deadwood. Too many players sat in the treatment room for too long. Cohen, vaughan, traore and fryatt all need to go asap. I would give hobbs and pinillos one more chance to prove they can stay fit. Replace the sicknotes with some of the better league 1 players eager to step up and work hard for a club and prove themselves at a higher level.

I wouldn't be against Baker coming in. The only concern i have is his performances in the recent under 21 tournament. I watched every England match until they were knocked out on pens. England had a good tournament and there were a lot of good individual performances from the English lads. Baker was highlighted by the commentators and analysis as being dissapointing and anonymous in pretty much every game. I agreed with what they were saying. He also plays the attacking mid/ behind the striker role. So would we want Clough/ Osborn/ Brereton playing there or a young Chelsea loanee?

Jrs i'm 32 years old. As a child I had my first season ticket the year frank clark took over from brian clough. My first season i saw pearce, collymore, stone, gemmill etc get us promoted back to the big time. I've had countless season tickets since. Not every year due to work commitments.

I've seen the players required to get us promoted. Cohen is not one of them. Hence why we just survived a relegation scrap on this last day of the season under his captaincy. Maybe you should stop preaching at me and get real.

Very poor player. Needs to be replaced if we are to challenge for promotion. Sorry guys if you've spent money putting his name on the back of your forest shirt but its time to face the facts. Mass clear out needed. Britt and Ward plus the youngsters need to stay. The rest can go.

Jrs1966- i'd give Cohen a one year extension and have him as a squad player. But his deflected goal today doesn't take away the fact he can't run, pass or tackle.

Vaughan is way better on the ball and needs an energetic powerhouse next to him so he can play to his strengths.

Ed your last sentence 'The guys a spineless, clueless fraud and he was found out, chewed up and spat out in a league you all look down your nose at. ' And you're trying to kid us all you're not bitter after saying things like that? You're going to make a lot of work for yourself as an Ed if you want to argue with every single post on here. More to the point, Forest 3 nil today. COYR!

BDT33

{Ed007's Note - So what is it I am actually meant to be bitter about? You're not making any sense and I guess you must be new to the site. I've been editing for about 6/7 years and very rarely comment on the Forest page so I'm hardly arguing with every single post am I?}

The wonder goal that you mentioned was going straight at the goalie but luckily hit a defender in the head and flew in the top corner.
But yes i agree he is not up to standard and we can do much better.
