Harlee Dean to Brum for £2 million, that's the one put to bed then!

Daz

1.) 29 Aug 2017 13:02:10
I can't believe we haven't put in a bid for him. Unless we are looking at other targets. Don't need anymore midfielders!

2.) 29 Aug 2017 13:17:29
Ff. Perhaps £2m is too large a fee for the club.

12 Jul 2017 11:07:24
Watford are said to be preparing a £10million bid for Britt. They should be told it's not good enough, we need his goals and if he's going to be sold it has to be for at least £15 million with a sell on clause.

Daz

1.) 12 Jul 2017 11:35:12
Daz thay same rumour has been banging about for last 10 days.
Weard the northern echo knows this when watford are a southern club.
Beleive nothing till its official like burnleys was.

26 Jun 2017 12:09:28
If Monk wants Britt and he wants to go then how about 10million up front plus Bamford?

Daz

1.) 26 Jun 2017 12:41:45
We do'nt want Bamford, we do'nt want Leadbetter and we do'nt want Downing.
If we sell Britt we need to target Kenneth Zohore at cardiff as a replacement.

2.) 26 Jun 2017 12:54:52
We want Brit to stay and sorry in the current climate £10m is a joke of a bid. Agree though no one in part exchange.

3.) 26 Jun 2017 13:15:43
I don't want to see Britt go. I think he can make the difference in a very competitive league. That said he needs to stay fit all season and hasn't managed that for us yet. I think Bamford is a proven goal scorer at championship level and Leadbitter has a lot to offer. Those two plus £15m would be good business.

4.) 26 Jun 2017 13:49:46
Zahore would not be a good replacement for britt. We would not be able to replace him so selling him would be a very silly thing to do in my opinion. If he hasn't asked to leave then don't sell him, simple.

5.) 26 Jun 2017 14:17:19
If a 20 mill bid for cairny can rejected 10 mill for Britt is an insult to be honest personally Britt is priceless as he can't be replaced.

6.) 26 Jun 2017 15:14:11
The only way I would sell Britt is if deals were in place for Chris Wood from Leeds and Josh Morris from Scunthorpe: Britt is already proven at this level and has potential to go on to be top top player just like Antonio did, I would want two players under 25 with that mix of proven lower league and potential top PL scoring and talent to replace him. £10 million is a awful offer though. £20 million plus 50% buy on and another 7 million in add ins depending on goals and appearances.

7.) 26 Jun 2017 21:41:59
I'm not in the know but I would suspect that Peterboro United also have a built in sell on clause for Brit should he go? Their chairman was only saying the other week that Britt's a £15m plus striker! 10% sell on minimum?

25 Jun 2017 11:45:04
With the interest in Britt from other clubs his head could be turned, especially if it's from the PL. The figures mentioned in the press toady are ridiculous,10 million? I am hoping the new owner and his team are not going to listen to any offers unless it starts at 15 million, Middlesbrough are quoting 20million for Gibson so stick a decent price on Britt and if he is going let's not get our pants pulled down! Having said all that I hope we can keep him, he's a banker for 20+ goals if he stays fit.

Daz

1.) 25 Jun 2017 13:15:58
Does anyone else wonder perhaps why Brereton has signed. Could it be because Britt is off and he feels he has more chance of starting or perhaps Britt is staying and he feels we have more chance of reaching the prem with him. Clutching at straws but hope it is the latter.

2.) 25 Jun 2017 14:45:29
No way sell to a championship rival, if a prem side comes in then it is upto britt if he going to want to go, don't even bother negotiating if the initial bid not 15m. Would love britt to stay and then see where we are in Jan.

3.) 25 Jun 2017 15:15:09
Would anyone agree with a Britt for money and Leadbetter deal?

4.) 25 Jun 2017 17:04:52
Not for me LR. Prolific strikers are gold dust mate.

5.) 25 Jun 2017 17:59:46
Spot on 2 star. If we have any aspirations around being promoted (can't see MW settling for mid table mediocrity ) Britt has to stay.

6.) 25 Jun 2017 19:06:55
With you both on that one.
When you have the real deal, you hold on tight.
Cheep imitations are plentiful.
Britt is the class act and along with clough we could actually suprise.
Defence a bit worried about? but maybe MW thinks he can sort from within.
On paper defenders look good so maybe its about organising them and not personnel.

7.) 25 Jun 2017 20:20:20
FF, I don't think it's a capability with the defenders we have somehow they've just become an easy touch. Mancienne, Hobbs, Worral, could We buy better? Not sure about Mills always got a goal in him but similarly always got a gaff that leads to a goal against AS well.

8.) 25 Jun 2017 20:37:42
2 star just a theory and totally agree, they haven't been nasty enough last season. all look good individuals at times so maybe just a case of gelling and organisation.
Lets hope so, then we'd be a force to reckon with.

9.) 25 Jun 2017 20:39:32
Why are so many Forest fans obsessed with Grant Leadbiter. he is ok but is many other younger central midfielders and if Britt goes we need a decent striker! Though Brereton, Cummings and Velios could do the job but is risky as none proven but none had much real game time in this league.

10.) 25 Jun 2017 20:47:44
Rascal couldn't agree more leadbetter at the end of his career and what has he achieved? not alot.
Over the hill for me.

11.) 26 Jun 2017 12:46:28
Personally I would prefer to see Warburton go back in for some of his old Brentford lads as he had some class central/ defensive ball winning and box to box midfielders in his days there. He has just signed a new contract but Nick Yannaris (still at Brentford) is a class young player and if we are looking at more experienced lads then I think Diagouraga who worked with Warburton at Brentford and is now at Leeds (30 years old) would be as good bet as Leadbiter as is several years younger and Warburton knows how to get the best out of him.
Personally I can see Leadbiter being another Jonathan Greening at Forest. Younger, hungry players are what I think we need not over the hill journey men.

I think through necessity Fawaz has stumbled upon the new management team, at least until the summer and see where we are then. GB has been there for years, knows the players and what they are capable of, Brereton for example, he knows what's coming through the academy and can use that to his advantage. The first team players have had a good reaction to GB and co so far, let's hope it continues!

Daz

1.) 07 Feb 2017 03:32:23
Also it's a win win for fawaz as the youth talent goes in the shop window for 6 months so players like brereton go from £5 mil to £10-15 mil by the summer

If it doesn't work out he just blames GB and the team and 'starts fresh' in the summer.

What is it with us and international breaks? 4-0 before the latest break now 1-0 down and will be lucky if we get s draw.

Daz

1.) 18 Nov 2017 16:49:58
At least we're consistent!!! LWLWL😋😋😋

2.) 18 Nov 2017 17:01:40
We need Eric at right back and Traore at left, sorry but Darikwa just isn't the right player there, can't control the ball and doesn't defend properly. Disappointing that we still can't control games against poor sides like Brum. What's with the short corners? Strange tactic and very few resulted in anything. See-saw ride continues.

01 Nov 2017 11:05:37
Darikwa is not up to it, how much was he again? 2 million? Cummings should not be played as a loan striker. Some strange dicisions being made by MW. Velios not getting a look in and Brereton on the bench and if Ben does play he's stuck out on the wing? Pay 3million+ for Clough and he's only a bit player and now if reports are to be beleived we are looking at more Scottish midfield players? How many midfielders does he need? Goal keeper and commanding centre half should be top of the list.

Daz

1.) 01 Nov 2017 11:31:55
I back Warburton daz but I do find it odd that brereton doesn't get a go up front. I think he would be a better option at the mo than Cummings. I think they could play well together. Not sure but if Lichaj played left back we will get hurt there. He ain't comfy there. I said I would be happy with 3 pts from last two games as its going to be that type of season while we are building.

2.) 01 Nov 2017 15:36:05
What has Brereton done better than Cummings?

3.) 01 Nov 2017 15:55:46
Think tyler deserves a start he's got on the end of a couple last night and only good saves stopped him scoring.
Bit worried about murphys situation to be honest.
Relocating his family to Ireland and staying here on his own he must be missing his wife and kids, wonder if it's an injury or a rest with his family to come back fresher?

4.) 01 Nov 2017 21:36:21
In my opinion 2tone, and it is just my opinion, Ben is tall, quick and a physical handfull. He came in last season and deserves a chance up top. Cummings is a good prospect but he isn't settled in english football yet. He hasn,t got the physical side to his game which is why I think they could be good together. Both quick, both can finish and Ben is a physical presence that can make space for Cummings. He can't play up top on his own.

Well that's the Championship for ya! The high of the weekend replaced by the low of a 3-1 loss.

Daz

That's just Forest for you. Good one game then woeful in the next.

MM is a good player but is too quiet for a captain.

It's a shame really,he did well pre season and I thought he might get s run of games,Murphy doing well so far but we need more goals and Vellios might get them.

He's an Irish international, he is pushing on a bit but has great experience of the championship and can score goals in this league.

McCormack is a goal scorer at championship level, not doing great at Villa and maybe a change might see him come good again. Don't know much about the other lad. Forest also said to have made contact about Bogle. Looks like a busy day ahead. let's hope for a good outcome.

Totally agree, need to go at them from the off,we have been guilty of being too slow out of the blocks conceding an early goal,it needs to stop!!! Hoping for 3 points tonight🤞

If he stays fit Britt will be up there with the top scorers in the championship. The move was obviously for the money and it is hard to blame the guy. We all need to move on, having said that, not looking forward to him playing against us.
