(Duncan McKenzie has reported) Forest have been linked with Nikola Vukcevic apparently on his way instead of Colback, valued at 4.5mill on Transfermarkt.
Boy looks total class for our league - Braga are a top 4 Portuguese side.

1.) 22 Jun 2018 04:36:43
This lad looks real class, loads of energy, hard tackler, good passer, got a bullet long shot too and has Europa League experience and over 50 caps. I am told however that Portuguese press are saying he would cost over £10m but from what I have read he sounds top and imo would be worth it but do we have that money to spend or can we do deal!

2.) 22 Jun 2018 10:49:37
Apparently a tough tackler and a great passer. Another highly thought of player.

We have to be mindful though of the fact that Mendes is his agent and we are being linked with anyone he happens to be agent for.

Would like this rumour to be true. let's see.

Its the striker position that is key right now, but not going to complain about decent midfield player.

Micheal Hector close to joining Forest on loan for the season.

1.) 23 Jul 2017 19:13:12
Where has this info come from Dazza 60.

2.) 23 Jul 2017 20:01:04
Nottingham Forest rumours and transfers on FB. Not a major news site but usually reliable.

3.) 23 Jul 2017 23:35:20
Its on the sun newspaper sports page online, be quality signing hope it doesn't halt Joe worral, s season but the lad is well thought of especially in Germany where he was loaned out last year.

4.) 24 Jul 2017 06:13:26
Thank you.

5.) 24 Jul 2017 07:32:29
Worrall and Hector as CB would be solid.

6.) 24 Jul 2017 10:45:40
Worrel Manchienne hector 3at back.

7.) 24 Jul 2017 23:12:02
Mystic give us a nudge when hector is having a medical, nice to be one step ahead. 😁😁.

Nelson Olibeira transfer listed by Benfica. Got to be worth a shout.
Imagine him up front with Britt.

1.) 18 Jun 2016 12:59:50
3.5mil? No thanks, let's look elsewhere!

2.) 18 Jun 2016 13:21:21
I think with the experience of a season in the Championship under his belt and familiarity with the squad 3.5 mill isn't to high a price to pay for the goals he would provide. and that's what we need.
If the rumours of Lansbury leaving are true then that fee will pay for him.
Remember what we lacked last season. GOALS!

3.) 18 Jun 2016 13:25:10
He and Britt could get 40 goals between them next season. You usually have to pay a lot more than 3.5mil for that kind of return.

4.) 18 Jun 2016 13:41:25
GazzaRed

Is that with Garcia as the manager.

5.) 18 Jun 2016 14:58:01
Great player but stuck up front with little supply under defensive Dougie
I would snap him up.

6.) 18 Jun 2016 15:02:25
Oliveira 3.5m.

Seems a lot to me he was only just not as frustrating as mendes who was easily the most annoying player I've ever watched.

Didn't personally see anything in Nelson to warrant that kind of outlay.

Worth 1.5 tops i reckon.

7.) 18 Jun 2016 15:45:56
2star

On the banter i about half that figure. We could have it go up to 3-5 M with add ons dependant on goals scored.

8.) 18 Jun 2016 16:43:57
Tomorrownevergetshere

Why has Garcia been ruled out?

9.) 18 Jun 2016 17:09:27
GazzaRed

I do not believe he has, but as he has supposedly signed a 3 year contract and Zola according to someone else has signed a 3 year contract.

Aswell as different people's odds rapidly shortening seemingly every day someone could well be right, but then again the people thare going to be wrong could fill the City Ground.

10.) 18 Jun 2016 18:43:55
Nelson is just the sort of player we need to play off a centre forward. He is not a lone striker a la the DF blueprint but finds space and has has a great team ethic.
Sign him up!

11.) 18 Jun 2016 19:16:45
Redinexile

It is all very well saying he can do this and do that, but do you think £3-5 million, if that is what he would cost is value for money.

Just because we are temporarily out of the embargo does not mean we do not need to be careful with the cash we spend.

12.) 19 Jun 2016 00:27:48
I thought oliveria is out of contract on the 30th of June so where ever he ends up it be a free transfer.

13.) 19 Jun 2016 11:02:02
Oliviera still has at least a year left on his contract so there will be a fee.

14.) 19 Jun 2016 11:02:44
Where does this £3.5 million figure come from. They will be lucky to get £1.5M.

15.) 19 Jun 2016 12:12:41
RedCyclist

Paul Taylor said in a webchat a few weeks ago that if Oliviera was available for a resealable fee, about a million we should get him, but if his club want around 3 million he would not be worth it.

13 Oct 2015 02:37:23
Liam Trotter in on loan from Bolton before the weekend.

1.) 13 Oct 2015 11:14:42
Another midfielder... is this what we need?

2.) 13 Oct 2015 18:37:25
Mancienne out for 6 weeks, Tesche for longer, Ebicilio injured and/or not up to the job, yes we do need a midfielder, especially a DM.

3.) 14 Oct 2015 16:21:55
IMO its the fowards we still need to take a look at... yeah O'grady does an excellent job but is he really our 20 goal a season man? yeah britt is back in jan (or whenever) but what's the plan for now. Tyler is good but i think he still isn't ready just yet. oliveira is just getting used to the league so needs time and for midfielders is Vaughan not a DM. and willaims can also cover in this position?

BD could be back in for Leadbetter in January now that Mowbery has departed ( source SportsDirect News )

1.) Hopefully he's had a good run of form recently

2.) Lazy journalism, its highly unlikely the new Boro boss would let go one of their most influential players.

3.) The forest scouting network gets ever bigger. yawn

4.) Bring on January, we will have the best midfield by far in the championship with both Ledbetter and sako coming ;)

5.) Leadbetter didn't impress when we played Boro recently. I suppose it's diificult to judge on one game. Still think the priority should be a goal scorer because we are creating lots of chances which are not being converted. It's OK having an holding midfielder sitting in front of the back four so we don't concede but that's no good if we don't score. Loads of faith in Billy and Fawaz to do what's best. COYR

{Ed034's Note - he didn't??? I thought he was one of the best players on the pitch and I recall reading a lot of posts on here and on twitter, where favs were saying they could now understand why billy wants him so much

6.) For me midfield is good enough. Perhaps we should be looking at strikers who can actually finish

7.) With Leadbetter in as holding midfielder it will free others to do what they are good at.

Dazza

8.) Don't u think January going to be to late to get these players sako lead better etc don't u think bigger teams will come in and turn there heads like all the other targets we have gone in do over the last few months if we don't get them now no chance come January but guess we can just carry on dreaming

9.) Remember that Chalobah will go in January so Leadbitter may be needed

10.) Don't forget that we will be one of the few with any money left thanks to fawas generosity

11.) If you think our midfield is good enough then you are deluded. When Lansbury is the holding midfielder we don't move forward. He is the only player we have that runs at defences and creates space,
against Derby it was him that created the corner that led to Hobbs goal, against Brighton he scored two and again on Saturday He was outstanding in midfield. He needs Help and with a quality signing we may score even more goals. Radi is too lightweight, Moose does not have the passing skills required, Reid is better than he has been for ages but I still wonder if He can play two games a week throughout the season.

{Ed034's Note - sometimes I read posts and my mouth opens in disbelief. This is one of those occasions.

12.) And you clearly never watch forest play. Lansbury is excellent but so are many of the others.

13.) Tbf, when you only watch the goals on the highlight show it does give you that impression.

What a bulb.

14.) Middlesbrough have a bus load of midfielders and are desperate for a striker, but haven't got much money. Think come January they'll be ringing Billy about Leadbitter, not the other way around.

{Ed003's Note - Like 034 said in another post I'd be amazed if any Boro activity happened until the new guy is in place regardless of there financial situation}

15.) Well I do think we miss Guedioura and McGugan. Chalobah is going to take time to adjust. Moussi doesn't seem fit enough. Gillett is ignored. Greening is back-up only. Reid and Abdoun are too lightweight. Lansbury needs help defensively and Leadbitter or similar type is required to push for automatic promotion.

16.) Re the post about Lansbury against Derby I actually thought we played really well using him as a holding player - at least he would get his head up and get the ball forward with quality. Did a decent defensive job.

Probably going to get slammed for this but I think if we are going to play five in midfield we should put Gillet and Lansbury in the holding positions. Gillet played well against burnley in the cup and was bossing the game for a good time. Was really positive as well and made some decent forward runs.

Lansbury would be able to support going forward too. Keeps the moose out.

17.) BD will not take advice. He will make up his own mind. While I think BD is a great motivator his self belief prevents him from accepting advice from others. I know my view won't be appreciated by many fans, or the editor of this site, but I'm telling the truth and sometimes the truth hurts. By the way Ed, a few weeks ago when I said that Forest were desperate for a goal scorer you said that we also need a defensive midfielder and more wingers just as much as we need a goal scorer. Do you still stand by your comment Ed? It's glaringly obvious that if we miss out on automatic promotion it will be the lack of a goal scorer that'll condemn us to the playoffs again.

{Ed034's Note - yes i still think a defensive midfielder will allow the five players in front of him license to attack and the two full backs licences to overlap. We scored three away at Brighton when playing with one.
You seem to be wanting to have a pop at billy but your 'billy won't take advice' comment doesn't make any sense. Who won't he take advice from and when start the post with that?? Nobody prior has mention about billy and advice.
You also say 'being condemned to the play offs' like that would be a poor season and outcome. Billy and fawaz have both gone in record saying our aim this season is top 6 and for you to think play offs would be a bad thing is you being very disrespectful on the league and teams in it.

18.) Middlesboro have just signed Ayala on a 93 day loan - maybe things are moving?

19.) To the poster who thinks our midfield is not good enough. I agree, landsbury is quality, reid is class on his day, the rest no thanks. wise up it could, and should be so much better. raddi is just not up to it, moose say no more, abdoun ok for half hour. we are desperate for a leadbitter type and billy knows it.

{Ed034's Note - of course it could be so much more better, as every midfield in the league could be, but looking at our midfield, then looking at the quality of the rest of the league, you cannot seriously be saying ours is not impressive.
we have a very good young holding midfielder, but you are right, a leadbitter type player is essential in the formation we play. lucky we have one in chalobah.

20.) 23 Oct 2013 13:52:25
To be honest I think Trotter is a much more accomplished player than Leadbitter.

21.) At least there is someone who watches the game with the same thought's as me.
Our midfield can be impressive BUT not often enough to get us promoted. Ed. in a roundabout way you have agreed with my earlier post.

{Ed034's Note - I explained what I said in a previous discussion. my views haven't changed, so if yours have, I am pleased you are coming round to my thinking ;-)

22.) Ed - that last reply sounds like it could have come from the great man himself! :)

23.) Chalobah is 18, promising but on loan possibly returning in Jan. He struggled against Brighton and got sent-off. We need a permanent holding midfield player and if not Leadbitter then someone on the same level.

{Ed034's Note - to win 3-1 when he's struggling, we should do well when he isn't.
Totally agree we need a DM come jan, whether that's mad king the loan till end if season or bring in leadbitter

nelson-oliveira has been transfer listed by Benfica.
I wonder if Forest will try and get him back.

Imagine him up front with Brit.

1.) 18 Jun 2016 09:47:32
Whats his value likely to be?

2.) 18 Jun 2016 10:25:22
Nothing. He's a free agent.

3.) 18 Jun 2016 13:02:33
I've heard they want 3.5mil, so not sure what's going on.

4.) 18 Jun 2016 13:16:34
Not worth 3-5M. Maybe half that.

5.) 18 Jun 2016 13:21:46
3.5 million? He's alright, but he's not worth nothing like 3.5 million. 3.5 million yen maybe.

Paul Taylor of the Evening Post seemed quite adamant that there is no deal for Marriott.
When suggested that the Cummings deal could be linked to a Marriott deal, he reiterated that its not the case

Considering that Hull are still receiving parachute payments, in the scheme of things £400,000 isn't much.
