Gardner offered nothing last stint. Murphy and darikwaa is 3m spent from Britt's sale. Not good enough is fawaz still in charge. We need a quality cam who scores goals. Another cb as well at least. Coyr.

Listen guys, if your looking for a speedy, hard tackling, 6 foot 4 inch, no nonsense CB, look no further than me! . (well It was more than 20 years ago, and I'm a tad under 5ft 6, but I could leap higher than a march hare! ) Honestly, it's Nothing to do with the San Miguel! 🍻😂.

2.) 26 Jul 2017 18:12:09
A quality CAM that scores goals? We have Osbourne and Clough that can play extremely well in that position, why get another in?

3.) 26 Jul 2017 18:41:52
Sorry I don't think cloughs good enuf gives the ball away to much and seems to panic on the ball. Osbournes brilliant but don't score a lot of goals.

4.) 26 Jul 2017 19:42:32
We also have McKay, Carayol, Ward. we have loads of attacking midfielders who will create and score, Clough games to goals was decent last season when he came into a struggling team with low confidence. A box to box midfielder who will break up play, keep possession and play in the forwards is what I feel we need. CB on loan maybe but not too worried if that doesn't happen but I expect both will and I also expect a proven goalkepper to compete with Smith.

5.) 26 Jul 2017 20:00:53
clough got 4 goals in 14 games which for a championship midfielder is good. gets in holes between the opposition midfield and defence and makes late runs into the box which opponents struggle to track. more than good enough for me.

6.) 26 Jul 2017 21:21:59
Well if we want a box to box midfielder (which we need) then surely Irvine is the answer. Quality last year for burton and at around 2 mil could be a steal. Him along with the Greek guy would give us enough in midfield. Then only a CB would be needed imo, maybe a LB at a push. But Cummings, McKay, Murphy, Darikwa are all good signing so far. Just add the 2 midfielders mentioned and a CB and this will be our most successful window in absolutely ages.

I think mw is crazy if he thinks one more signing will do. Will do for what safety? The back four is still the same shocking I know it's only the first game. Murphy is a waste of money vellios needs a run and for me osborn and clough are to lightweight vaughn mckay played well. Cohen looks past is best.

Playing MM in the central role will not work, he is a tad to small and his strengths are pace and mobility. Also making him captain is a mistake, he doesn't even talk to himself never mind his team mates and more importantly yesterday the referee who was having a bad evening. Only when Cohen came on did we start to question the ref and point things out.

2.) 05 Aug 2017 13:01:51
I agree Demus1080, i wasn't at the game and had to rely on sparodic text and twitter but i have watched the highlights a few times (Millwall highlights it seemed) and they ran us ragged good through balls and excellent positioning made our whole defence look amateur not highly paid professionals, MW should bring in a tried and tested championship GK and a bullying, gobby CM, having said that, Clough and Dowel seem to have built up an partnership, i hope MW gives Bouchalis and Vellios there chance they did excellent in pre season, maybe on Tuesday again Shrewsbury, but 3 points are 3 points and we might need them next April 😈😎.

3.) 05 Aug 2017 13:53:57
These comments are a bit over egged, we weren't great and there is no defending Murphy as he performed badly. There were several chances were only a Millwall player throwing himself in front of the ball prevented a goal. Not every team will defend as courageously and resolutely as Millwall did and it seems to early to make such sweeping statements. Too many think we are going for promotion this season they won't concede it but they do and with that think we will play every team off the park. It's a wake up call to those with unrealistic expectations to the rest of us it's the start of a new journey that will hopefully bring better times and the confirmation that we are a long way off the top six. I hope the 17000 that have brought season cards are the realistic gang and support the club as well as we did last night.

4.) 05 Aug 2017 14:57:16
We definitely need that CM. I felt when Cohen came on he covered defensively which freed Traoure to push forward and become a threat, Vaughan pushed forward more too (his passing had been main threat all game) and it freed Clough to start influencing the forward play more. Dowell looked good and seems very at ease on the ball and could be a huge player for us!
If we can get a leader in back 5 (be that a new keeper or CB or both) and a leader and bully in CM (Cohen is past his best and can't do it for 90 mins for 40+ games a season and I often find myself on edge when he gets in heavy tackles! ) then I think given time this team can play great football and do well. This season may simply be one of consolidation and we were lucky last night but we're some good signs.

5.) 05 Aug 2017 15:24:45
I thought we looked better when Cohen came on we were a bit me direct.

6.) 05 Aug 2017 15:33:03
Thinking back to when Pearce was manager and the business he conducted in 2014. Fryatt, Antonio and assombalonga. With better luck with injuries that is surely the best championship squad we've ever had. I honestly think that Season was scuppered by bad fortune and the gamble was lost and FFP was the outcome.

7.) 05 Aug 2017 15:56:26
It might of been the best squad it's just a shame all of them didn't pull in the same direction. some of those players should give there heads a wobble for how they acted.

26 Jul 2017 18:39:51
How's hector coming when mw saying hopefully two more in. Darikwa and an attacking midfielder?

Demuss1080

1.) 26 Jul 2017 21:15:56
MW also said he wants a squad off twenty odd, how is that coming. If MW can get both he will.

26 Jul 2017 18:37:25
Mw said he's bringing in another attack minded midfielder. Clough looks to lightweight osbourn don't score many goals does he? Think mckay would be better cam he looks a bloody good player.

Demuss1080

1.) 26 Jul 2017 20:22:56
You can't play clough and Osborn together we'd get overrun in midfield, clough has goals in him as well as being able to pick a pass.
Osborn to me has a great engine but I'd prefer clough all day long, if Osborn plays centre midfield he needs to score more simple as that, both of them can't tackle so it's fair and goals for me and clough has the edge on that one.

2.) 26 Jul 2017 21:22:07
Osborn created the second most chances in the league last season so he has more than an engine. that stat for created chances lead to a shot on goal from one of our players and not just a cross into the box like some muppet on twitter tried arguing.
Which for a player who got battered last season for only passing sideways or backwards is nothing short of a miracle.

3.) 26 Jul 2017 21:34:29
Utf your like a parrot, you put the same thing every time.
We know you love Ben and keep telling us the stats,
Problem is we nearly got relegated with those stats.

4.) 26 Jul 2017 22:31:53
UTF
The stats lie. He is a very good player and will only get better. I would not like to see him leave.

Ideas that he was the second best in the Championship for assists last season are codswallop!

He has a lot to learn and in Cohen and Vaughan he has two of the best tutors.

Hopefully this season he will be given the opportunity to rest in a few games, he has been verworked in the past!

5.) 26 Jul 2017 22:54:07
Without those stats we would of got relegated! You don't like it because they disprove what you and others say about Osborn. osborn is a player that gives his all for the club and contributes more than what people would like to admit.
You said clough can pick a pass surley creating 102 chances and having 7 assists in a faultering forest side over a season suggests Osborn can also pick a pass also.

6.) 26 Jul 2017 22:30:11
Got any "Trill" FF? 🐤.

7.) 26 Jul 2017 23:13:47
That's a bit "cheap" rogie
Can see the San Miguel is keeping you "cherpy ".
Have a good holiday pal. 😎😎😎.

8.) 27 Jul 2017 06:12:07
Wishey where did I say he had the second most assists in the league last season? i said he created the second most CHANCES in the league last season not assists. its all on the internet fo everyone to see. its not me making them up there all on a site that does stats for the football league.

9.) 27 Jul 2017 06:51:38
Osbourne needs to move on. His development over the past few seasons has been nil. He can't run past people with the ball, he doesn't score many goals, he just runs a lot.

10.) 27 Jul 2017 10:28:17
Osborn flatters to deceive, looks dangerous going forward but it usually leads to nothing. He cannot tackle. When opponents have the ball they run past him like a training cone. We can do a lot better with the money being mentioned.

11.) 27 Jul 2017 11:06:14
Cheers FF! Listen UTF! Anymore of that and you'll go back in your cage! 😎😎😂😂.

26 Jul 2017 16:43:55
Gardner offered nothing at all in his last stint darikwaa 1m old man murphy 2m. Come on forest spend more off britts money on a proper cam and I believe another cb.

Demuss1080

1.) 26 Jul 2017 17:18:43
Have to agree on our centreback situation mate. that's my only worry 🙁🙁🙁.

2.) 26 Jul 2017 22:24:01
We should be happy the club are signing young players with plenty of skill and potential to gorw and realsie better resale values.
Spending alone is not the answer.

I'm not too worried about the defense because of the loan window. I reckon we'll try to wing it and end up loaning someone but I am pleased we haven't gone and got 7 loan players in like previous years.

Much prefer there to be a sense of ownership and belonging in the main group and that should rub off on any loan players who come in later.

Very optomistic for the season ahead. :)
