Some of the players MW bought are not championship standard.

Grahamnf

1.) 02 Nov 2017 12:44:13
I'm not in much agreement with that statement. Some youngsters are doing very well in the team and other more experienced ones have added some skill and endeavour. The problem lies with how they are being used or not being used. Zonal marking rather than man marking is a difficult skill to absorb, since if one person fails to do it there is no back up to help out. Few of the midfielders realise that they must defend as hard as they attack, and plainly cannot do it - Clough, McKay, and to some extent Bouchalakis for example. To me they all look like Championship material, and if only we had a Captain who knew the game well and directed people on the pitch, and a Manager who could see the faults before they are about to happen and pick tactics other teams did not expect, then the team would be further up the table.

2.) 02 Nov 2017 13:05:34
In my opinion I think we're too easy to play against. If the opposition restricts our space we're buggered as we only have one style of play which relies too heavily on being allowed space. Leeds, for example, defended 10 yards inside their own half and put most of their players in our half which left us no space knowing that we won't play long. Hull, on the other hand, left too many gaps and backed off our players when we had the ball. Other than the side to side passing we don't seem to be able to mix up play which leaves us vulnerable as we're too predictable.

3.) 02 Nov 2017 17:00:53
no you're right, dowell, murphy, bridcutt and mckay are rubbish!! ;)

4.) 02 Nov 2017 17:52:19
oh no, Graham has found his way out of other posts!

Be good if you said exactly which players fella.

5.) 02 Nov 2017 19:16:00
Don't agree with the post but what I will say is Derikwa was skinned for Readings first and at fault for the other 2 as he was out of position for the second and lazy getting back for the third.
Some of the players is a little over the top but would agree one player is accurate

6.) 03 Nov 2017 02:35:53
Why is this even on the rumours page when it's banter from Graham the derby fan lol

7.) 03 Nov 2017 09:10:41
The players that have come in are fine. Better than the dross that was signed last season. Our form reflects a side with new players adapting to a new style. Win a couple lose a couple. Like I said before, another couple of transfer windows, move some on and bring some in and we can start to judge MW.

8.) 03 Nov 2017 15:23:36
Missed your Craic Graham!!! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

9.) 03 Nov 2017 20:50:46
Forest are a work in progress.
Some of the players were bought for development. We stick with the players and MW and we will benefit in the long run. its the way. the only way forward!

10.) 03 Nov 2017 21:13:20
Dazza60

I feel we should give time to Warburton to improve the the team,i however feel it is a bold thing to say he is the only way forward.

11.) 03 Nov 2017 21:37:35
Good post.
It's all about patience,You cannot turn the mess this club was in,in one transfer window.
The infrastructure has been put in place,They have put a manager in place "like it or not".
They have a plan no doubt of how long a process this will be with the current manager,They don't interfere in team selection or how the manager sees things .
So let's just let warbo get on with it?
Stability before expectation is the priority on and off the pitch.
Support is what's needed not negativity.

12.) 04 Nov 2017 07:43:24
Exactly right FF79, before the season started and after the near disaster of last season, mid table stability would have been more than acceptable to most fans (except those who know far more about football than the professionals, from the perspective of their sofas). Personally, I will enjoy the victories and not lose perspective at the losses.

13.) 04 Nov 2017 16:53:11
Very good assesment Graham. have to agree after today!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

14.) 04 Nov 2017 22:49:59
Sorry rogie got to agree with Graham ,some aren't championship, they're premership.
McKay? Class act πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

15.) 05 Nov 2017 08:02:52
After the 4-0 win against QPR this post should be deleted under the trades description act.

05 Jul 2017 15:23:58
The announcement of Barrie McKay as been delayed it's hit a snag.

Grahamnf

1.) 05 Jul 2017 16:03:02
Rubbish. McKay has signed. It is official.

2.) 05 Jul 2017 16:04:52
STV Scottish TV reporting he's signed a 4 year deal and cost us Β£500,000.

3.) 05 Jul 2017 16:48:50
G is at it again, probably heard it from the lads mother.

4.) 05 Jul 2017 18:17:19
Graham stick with the 'other post' page at least we know they're nonsense πŸ€”.

5.) 05 Jul 2017 18:38:52
Try the offical site graham.
Theres all you to see. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€.

6.) 05 Jul 2017 23:00:22
And its on our Club Website.

23 Jun 2017 17:21:26
Ben Osborne said he going no where as the forest hierarchy told him he been sold to Newcastle.

Grahamnf

1.) 23 Jun 2017 17:47:42
Where did you hear that?

2.) 23 Jun 2017 18:21:31
He didn't hear it very well as I'd suggest a few words have been missed out?

3.) 23 Jun 2017 19:39:30
Graham speak good:)

4.) 23 Jun 2017 21:50:39
So having bid Β£20m for Cairney and got knocked back Bar Codes come back for number 2 on the list?

Well there is no way Warbo will have accepted the Β£4m bandied about so Β£15 -18m for sloppy seconds would have been a figure to seriously consider.

So either Ossie's dad is haggling with Forest or Forest have agreed with Ossie he can go so long as they get top dollar.

Having said that I'd sooner he stayed and got coached to play more offensively with better midfield back up?

Better than Will Hughes will ever be so come on Ossie stay with the revolution?

5.) 24 Jun 2017 08:42:41
Ben Osborn has said he doesn't want to leave so unless we are offered stupid money he won't be going anywhere. It's nice to see the players really seem to be buying into what's going on at the club.

18 Jun 2017 15:59:20
Can anyone tell what's the latest on the Mahoney transfer?

Grahamnf

1.) 18 Jun 2017 16:31:31
Mowbray said he will leave Blackburn and is only talking to Forest. I understand his contract runs out with Blackburn at the end of June and he should be announced as Forest player after that.

2.) 18 Jun 2017 17:02:03
Yes, as we have dragged our heels πŸ‘  for so long, all of 2 weeks we are getting specaltive reports saying Middlesbrough COULD jump in and offer him riches behond our limitations. They do not need him so so are just trying to stop us from strengthening our squad. Just speculation off course.

3.) 18 Jun 2017 17:43:21
Boro are rumoured to be making an approach to hijack our move. We are only waiting to agree a price so it doesn't go to tribunal. He has passed medical and agreed terms according to reports but if Boro do offer him a bigger contract then we might miss out.

4.) 18 Jun 2017 18:12:14
Would sooner have the lad from Barnsley!

11 May 2017 23:07:33
The two week takeover will never happen another season of struggle ahead.

Grahamnf

1.) 12 May 2017 06:03:48
Positive as always grahamdf.

2.) 12 May 2017 08:03:40
Yeh, many thanks for that.

3.) 12 May 2017 10:33:30
He is very consistent to be fair:)

4.) 12 May 2017 10:58:58
And your statement is based on what? Marinakis is taking to EFL. Last piece of Jigsaw. We all want it to happen, let's just hope the EFL let it.

5.) 12 May 2017 15:42:19
I wish it was someone different, but fingers crossed. He can't be any worse than Fawaz right? He'll probably as dodgy but at least he might not pretend to be a lifelong fan and an illegitimate son of Cloughie.

6.) 12 May 2017 15:44:18
Not letting anyone ruin my optimisim!

7.) 12 May 2017 20:16:19
Rogie I doubt anyone could do that.

8.) 13 May 2017 12:10:02
As far as i can tell he hasn't been convicted of anything, why assume he is guilty? Doubt he's any worse than the dodgy british owners like Morris, Gould, Parish etc as long as he invests, puts a good structure in place and let's people do their jobs he has my backing.

9.) 13 May 2017 12:35:41
Jenko EXACTLY RIGHT.
they are only accusations at the moment and there is no pending court at case at this moment in time.

10.) 13 May 2017 13:23:56
Binns, i've been trying to think for 5 years who Fawaz
looks like, now you reveal this!
CARLO.

19 Nov 2017 12:12:11
Is team selection takes some understanding looks like Eric on the bench Tuesday night.

Grahamnf

1.) 19 Nov 2017 13:40:49
I can tell you something that takes some understanding.

2.) 19 Nov 2017 16:20:39
Chinese?

3.) 19 Nov 2017 19:17:51
why is vellios not getting games.seems the breadman as issues with him to me. so get rid of the breadman and get vellios on the pitch

4.) 19 Nov 2017 19:38:38
It's all about psychology. Every manager has to alienate one of the better players in the believe of keeping the rest of the squad on their toes?
If the players were bright enough they just tell him where to go?

5.) 19 Nov 2017 20:15:55
Sorry but that's just daft red.

6.) 19 Nov 2017 22:25:24
Whats daft is playing little boys up front when you have an international striker with our best goals to minutes on the pitch ratio not even getting a chance?
You explain why Vellios is not getting a chance?

7.) 19 Nov 2017 22:59:42
I don't need to come up with a reason,the manager has one and he's stocking to it,maybe he's a crapp trainer,or he's disruptive,or he just doesn't rate him,I don't know.
Thats why we are fans and they are managers, because believe me if it was left to the likes of fans to pick a side and tactics,we'd be relegated allready

8.) 20 Nov 2017 06:32:28
if He was disruptive he wouldn’t be allowed around the team which isn’t true as he was pictured on the pitch before a game a few weeks ago.how can you not rate one of your two best strikers In the team?

9.) 20 Nov 2017 18:37:05
Doesn’t matter what we think, we don’t pick the teams.

10.) 20 Nov 2017 22:34:06
FF79 Stop defending the indefensible. Warbo should have the decency to explain himself given he is on record as saying Vellios will get his chance, especially when the other strikers are hardly pulling up trees?

11.) 21 Nov 2017 08:06:25
Not defending anyone, just putting a point of view across that is different to yours, which is managers on general make decisions all the time,Not just warbo that fans don't agree with, very few will give an explanation,It's their job to manage and do it their way, results ultimately decide wether theirs is the right way.

12.) 22 Nov 2017 07:24:43
Not being on here a while - working away.
FF79 i'm here to annoy you again.
Velios is an international player who has the ability to score goals and in pre season he proved this.
Other than the old war horse murphy who else is capable of getting goals week in week out. let me guess, cummings, mckay, darickwa?
Breadman has FAVOURITES and showed this on Saturday by playing eric out of place and allowing golden ball dariwka to play there instead. you Warburton fans are deluded.

03 Nov 2017 11:55:53
We need a good 20 goal striker to back up Murphy.

Grahamnf

1.) 03 Nov 2017 12:22:52
I think we would look more likely to score more goals if we actually attacked the penalty box more most of the time we seem to saunter into the box looking like we aren’t interested not enough urgency to support the front player.
Yes we can play good Football but we are too languid for my liking we definitely need more pace and physical presence we are short of in abundance!

2.) 03 Nov 2017 12:24:44
20 goal striker to back up Murphy!! :) any team would just love a 20 goal striker

3.) 03 Nov 2017 16:26:29
Yes we,ve been looking for one for years and eventually we found one ,but the current manager soon had him out the door because he wasn,t a lone striker just a brilliant preditar who barring injury will definatly score 20 this season ,you have to pay top whack for that kind of player and pay top money and it will be years before we find another and probably years before we contentd a genuine promotion bid with just bits and bobs players .
CARLO

4.) 03 Nov 2017 18:20:42
I'm guessing you don't like the owners then Carlo?
They run the purse strings and Britt wanted out anyway,so you can't hang that one on warbo.

5.) 03 Nov 2017 19:46:57
Not what I heard from inside the club, the decision was left to the manager who wanted to play one up front and BA isn,t that man he needs a foil but that leaves four in midfield which MW dosen,t like as you,ve seen .
CARLO

6.) 03 Nov 2017 20:17:55
So he didn't have a 15 million release clause that was activated then?
If you have inside information, then you should share it all with us,
What's the budget for the season then Carlo?are the owners going to pimp some of their own money in for transfers?
Come on spill we'd love to know.πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

7.) 03 Nov 2017 21:58:47
Carlo is back πŸ™‚

8.) 04 Nov 2017 04:54:45
Cant believe we are still on about Britt. Gone so let's move on. I support MW but I do thinkbit would help to mix our play up a bit. The odd long ball would keep the opposition defence guessing. If we play the same way all the time they can push up and squeeze the space making it hard for us to play. That is when you pop one over the top into the space left for someone like Brereton or Ward to sprint onto. Then the defence won't squeeze as much for fear of being caught out again. Would like to see two up top against certain teams too.

9.) 04 Nov 2017 21:20:19
Velios, if warburton played him.
No brainer really he proved his worth during pre-season yet doesn't get a chance. shame because with him and Murphy they would do well.

21 Aug 2017 15:37:03
Does anyone know if the new owner was at the match Saturday?

Grahamnf

1.) 21 Aug 2017 15:58:34
No Yachts moored on the Trent Graham!

31 Jul 2017 21:41:54
I'm glad I don't drink what Kenny burns he said we should have signed Bambi from Derby I'm glad he's not the manager.

Grahamnf

{Ed033's Note - What does Kenny burn that you can drink? πŸ˜‹

1.) 31 Jul 2017 23:27:54
I'm glad you're not the manager Graham or god knows who we'd have signed with your grammar!

2.) 01 Aug 2017 10:04:12
Lionel Messy? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

26 Jul 2017 21:41:12
Who is the midfielder we are after if it's not Gardner.

Grahamnf

1.) 26 Jul 2017 23:21:16
Who would you like.

2.) 27 Jul 2017 04:13:02
It's the Greek lad.

3.) 27 Jul 2017 08:14:44
Luongo (QPR) - estimate 2m.
McDonald (Fulham) - estimate between 3m and 5m.
Irvine (Burton) - reported 2m clause.
Gardner (Villa) - estimate 1m.
Ruddock Mpanzu (Luton) - estimate between 1m and 2m.
Jota (Brentford) - estimate between 3m and 5m.

I reckon it will be one of the above and I've thrown in my rough valuations also. Would love to see Jota signed as MW and FP know him from their Brentford days.
