I happnned to be near Burton on Trent on Sunday having a meal, spoke to a relative of the coaching team who stated that Nigel Clough defeinetely wants the Forest job because of his father. It is a question as to whther Forest want him.

1.) 09 May 2016 13:33:49
It'll be Clough because Fawaz will sit on his hands until disaster is about to strike and then start to panic.

Happens every time, even with the bills!

Fawaz prob thinks he's a great fire fighter when in reality he's just a creator of disasters.

2.) 09 May 2016 16:11:25
So Fawaz takes his time over appointments No22 - Dougie appointed within a day, King Billy within a day, Shaun O'D within a couple of days - yeah really sluggish.

3.) 09 May 2016 17:09:34
I honestly don't think no22 ever says anything positive haha.

I can fully imagine Clough wanting this Job. Having said that i can see Poyet wanting it as well.

4.) 09 May 2016 18:13:29
Poyet is wanted by real bettis in spain and they want him now.

5.) 09 May 2016 18:14:27
It will be poyet when the greek bloke comes in.

6.) 09 May 2016 18:22:58
Sorry bro but you just got to call a pig a pig.

You never heard me like this when we had a manager.
Or before the 30 million pound dagger that will sink this club was pushed in to its heart.
You never heard it before we became a low to middle table side.

You didn't even hear it when the clubs name was dragged through the courts, or when the owner picked the side and signed the players from nearer his home land.

And I never said a peep when we couldn't find a sponsor.

Question is . When is the right time to bitch?

If you're interested the rest of my life is a beautiful and moan free place. I consider myself very fortunate, but I also see wrongdoing here and will call a pig a pig.

7.) 09 May 2016 18:36:27
Sod it bring in the chuckle brothers as it don't matter who comes they not get the time they need . I would plum for clough as he's never really had a big budget to work with and he might just bring more young talent through .

8.) 09 May 2016 18:46:27
I think you're re writing history?

There was much procastination over all of the appointments and Fawaz snatched at the easy option two out of three times.

He believed SOD was a better man than Cotts and jumped ship when he could of shown some creativity and ambition. The big man just wanted to shuffle the deck and make his mark. Failed!
The first thing the fool did was start sacking people!

Billy Davies was shouted from the rooftops of all of Nottingham for weeks so I don't know where you get that from?

And Doughie was his best choice and I admit he was reasonably quick in appointing him but it wasn't within days and you know it.

Point is, all of Fawaz's decisions are knee jerk reactions because he has no plan or idea how to plan. wave the manhood about and the money and hope for the best.

From Dougie bingo to the Fawaz lottery. I think I've seen enough gambling with the clubs future.

9.) 09 May 2016 18:48:43
The chuckle brothers? Their humour is rubbish, i doubt it that kids laugh at them.

10.) 09 May 2016 19:02:01
The Chuckle Brothers are one of the UK's most popular children's entertainers of all time.

We don't need them? We have Coco the clown.

11.) 09 May 2016 19:10:32
Chuckle brothers are quality!

12.) 09 May 2016 19:17:51
To me.

13.) 09 May 2016 20:31:35
You would only start putting down the chuckle bros if they did come like everything else, 'yes Paul. '

Have a holiday 22, sounds like you need one mush!

14.) 09 May 2016 20:46:10
Well having listened to all of you in denial of the Forest financial basket case that No22 has so clearly pointed out you will all get the manager you deserve!

It will not be any of the names on your wish list!

15.) 09 May 2016 21:12:42

We all know the club is in a financial mess, but we do not want it constantly shoving down our throats.

Although you have to think about problems you have, you only get sucked into a depressing vortex if you dwell on them too much then are unable to think rationally.

16.) 10 May 2016 11:55:13
I got bored of that malarkey weeks ago!

17.) 10 May 2016 16:39:54
Ha ha ha rational thinking on a football forum.

I've told you before not to assume the worst about me, but you just don't stop? :)

Pot kettle black?

Hardly been on for days but you seem to want to make me the bad guy because no one at the beloved club can do any wrong.
As for depressing vortex. You must have a tiny awareness if football affects the rest of your life in that way.

Just because I talk about unpopular things that you allow to pass you by doesn't make me a bad person. Just means I talk about unpopular subjects.
You would do well to separate the two, but be careful because it may disturb your gentle rolling along in the official bubble.

The best bit is, I underestimated the clubs income by about £10 million because of the rising TV revenues over the last four years. This means Fawaz can happily report he spent over £190 million quid on this little folly.

You could not make it up!

Well he has actually. it isn't real by £60 million but who's counting if 22's moaning?

Billy knew and ran! The Greek know and ran! You know but don't seem to care that your being done? lol.

18.) 10 May 2016 19:56:08

I do not disbelieve what you say about the finances but if make a point once people will be interested, repeat it people will listen, repeat again and they will be bored. Repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and well you get the idea people will want nothing to do with you.

As for my post you took the point i was trying to make and literally took it too seriously.

Football is not enveloping my life as you say it appears i was suggesting if someone had serious personal problems barking at them every tem minutes the situation they are in makes matters worse in their mind asthey were not getting a break from the miserable situation then make a decision for the worse because of it.

You would make a one pint a week drinker think they are alcoholics if you told them enough times.

Montanier seems to be just waiting for his pay off. Please put him out of his misery, Dougie back please. Maybe the new owners have have a really knock down price if we are in Division 1 or anchored in the bottom 3. Maybe that is what they prefer, Divison 1 here we come.

1.) 06 Nov 2016 08:26:42
Well said jake64 if he knew as much about football as he does about cheese we would be top of the league get jack lester in charge Asap.

2.) 06 Nov 2016 11:06:13
Dougie freedman? jesus Christ we really are in the poo if fans want his boring football back at the city ground. so we are going to have new owners which means a new start and fans want to go back and bring deluded dougie back. this is why fans shouldn't be allowed to have a say in things at the club.

3.) 06 Nov 2016 12:37:10
Bore of utf. Fans shouldn't have a say? For £1000 a season I would quite like to pick me up by the scruff of their neck and shake em in to life. Dougie was boring but safe and kept us up. Not happening this year. #leagueone.

4.) 06 Nov 2016 13:59:32
He kept us up? didn't he nearly relegate us as well.

5.) 06 Nov 2016 14:05:45
I and before us was going to take Bolton down as well.

6.) 06 Nov 2016 18:15:04
No he kept us up along with his recruitment staff who did a fantastic job. Imagine last year without PINILLOS MENDES ward mills Oliveira o GRADY etc we wouldn't have won a game and wouldn't have a team. Excellent job and found a way to play that suited out limitations at the time.

7.) 07 Nov 2016 07:26:54
You can't say that. another manager could of brought in players that could of got better results. so your saying dougie kept us up what position was we in when he took over?

02 Nov 2016 14:28:39
I really think something should be done about this Manager. By the time this takeover takes place we will be even close to League 1.I would think the potential takeover will have two prices, depending on which division we will be in. Too many team changes, too much tinkering, players not keeping the shirt when they have had a good gane. Dougie must still be on wages, get him back for a couple of months, he never leaked goals like this. Apparently we are the only team in the football league not to have had a clean shirt.

1.) 02 Nov 2016 14:47:38
"Clean shirt" mate? Laundry not paid for either 😥😥😥.

2.) 02 Nov 2016 15:22:53
Dougie may not have leaked goals, but then he didn't score any either. Look at where Freedman steered us to last year, with superior players. How do we propose Montanier succeeds with an owner who's lost interest, a DOF who's done one and an inherited squad that's full of mistakes and biscuits that lack pace, quality and desire. What we have is a manager who's proven over time and a footballing ethos that managers like Freedman aren't ballsy enough to commit to. Give Montanier a DOF who knows Championship football and can provide players to suit.

3.) 02 Nov 2016 15:51:20
Bang on cjay and there's always one muppet that manages to say dougie freedman was good bring him back lol would rather support the sheep than do another week under that amateur lol give us a break.

4.) 02 Nov 2016 16:07:03
I'm not saying we should bring dougie back, I'm backing montanier at least until the takeover goes through when he will be immediately sacked anyway. BUT. The football was better last season for the majority. As a season ticket holder that sees every game I believe the squad has not improved, probably got worse and so has the football which is undisputably diabolical. And one thing. You can't get points losing 4-3 or 3-2 but you can drawing 0-0 or 1-1 or a 1-0 win. Careful what you wish for DF was terrific under terrible circumstances that people like you skegjay never knew about or appreciated at the time. 🌳.

5.) 02 Nov 2016 16:35:46
Sorry my mistake make that 2 muppets.

6.) 02 Nov 2016 16:36:28
You have to be the first and only person to genuinely believe the football was better last season under Freedman. Only time will tell whether Montanier can better Freedmans 16th place, but he hasn't much to live up to with the quality of football. Job done if we can retain championship status this season, whilst slashing the wage bill and giving the fans at least something to get excited about on the pitch. Montanier was always a longer term project given his lack of experience in the English game.

7.) 02 Nov 2016 19:23:37
Your right herefortheforest you can't get more points losing 4-3 and such like but we are 1 point better off than this time last season! The football under dougie was shocking well I say shocking but was there actually any football being played?

8.) 02 Nov 2016 20:58:35
Cjay, superior players, really?

9.) 02 Nov 2016 21:38:38
Hftf Dougie got paid to do a job quite a bit of money money I will never see like that in my lifetime for a years work all he did was put 11 players behind the ball in defence no tactics park the bus for 12 months easy money I bet most forest fans could of done that and been happy with is wages and you want me to feel sorry for him like he was hard done to get a real job Dougie 60 hours a week minimum wage no better thought of lol mind you he might have to soon hope I'm his supervisor will make sure he works for his money Hftf lol.

10.) 02 Nov 2016 22:38:43
Don't think you'll find anybody disagreeing that the football under DF was hard to watch, particularly near the end of his time. Thing is though there was a clear style of play. Defend deep and hit on the break. Not really sure what the tactics are under PM. At the start of the season i would have said it was all out attack resulting in some high scoring entertaining games. Discounting the home wins against Leeds and Birmingham i can't really say i've been entertained much over the last couple of months. In fact i've been shocked and bored at what's been served up and if i had to sum up our style of play i would struggle as i really don't think anyone knows what they are doing. Whether that's PM's fault or the players not following his instructions or the off the field business i really don't know.

15 Sep 2016 16:53:05
I Heard last night from a source at Derby County that Mel Morris amd Sam Rush have going to the training ground and giving players marks out of 10, also marks for Nigel Pearson. Mel Morris has been interfering big time and Pearson fed up with it.

1.) 15 Sep 2016 19:02:02
Did they only score 1?

2.) 15 Sep 2016 20:04:15
Has DF joined them.

31 Aug 2016 20:03:21
Rickie Lambert appears to be signing for Cardif City.

28 Aug 2016 10:29:49
Vydra gone to the Sheep for 8/ 10 million pounds. He scored 3 in 31 games on loan at Reading last season. Is it a panic buy? Burke has got to be worth double.

1.) 28 Aug 2016 11:06:17
One report is saying with add ons ( house, car, signing on fee ) and potential appearance fees that it's closer to 12.5m.

2.) 28 Aug 2016 11:08:13
It's funny Herefortheforest said they couldn't spend £1 million or they'll be in embargo or at least that's what his friend said who is there accountant 😂😂😂.

3.) 28 Aug 2016 10:52:31
How do they do that without being impacted by financial fair play rules? They spent a lot on ince/ bent etc so just don't see how they can sustain it.

4.) 28 Aug 2016 11:33:56
They are once again banking on a huge turnover this season now it goes to a three year average. They've now had their 3 years and the line is tight. At the mo they will now be in embargo territory, the friends said they are riding on a turnover this year to keep the 3 year average down. You should perhaps look more at our fiscal situation rather than our neighbours which we love to pointlessly obsess about. They will be in an embargo by the end of next season if they don't turn over profits ie promotion or cup run. As for us not a penny spent! Wonder why? Genius needed? Any money from BURKE will go straight in to clearing the mess not new players!

5.) 28 Aug 2016 11:49:13
You're the one that originally posted it no one else so perhaps you shouldn't obsess about it or maybe even you're friend shouldn't really give out that information if it is true surely that could cost him his job may get him to do my accounts so he can blab to everyone in the pub.

6.) 28 Aug 2016 12:52:46
Nice one ryry short memories.

7.) 28 Aug 2016 12:53:19
Absolute panic buy. This makes a mockery of Burkes current price tag.

This is nonsense. How can we be linked to anyone in January. We will have a new manager. We have got 3 goalkeepers already. No player is going to even sign a pre-contract agreement when he does not know the manager or what Division we will be in.

Besnik Hasi looks like a Rookie manager to me. Was the assistant manager at Anderlecht and then the Manager for not very long. Why did he leave? Never manged anywhere else. If he is that sought after and left Anderlect in March why has he nor been snapped up by now?

Garcia certainly has a good CV as a player and a manager. Makes Steve Evan's CV look mickey mouse.

Oscar Garcia appears to be currently employed as a Manager for Red Bull Saltzburg, surely if he is coming as our new Manager we will have to pay compensation? Cannot see the club wanting to pay out compensation.

If the takeover is taking longer than usual it seems obvious to me that they are waiting to see which division we will be in. Once we drop into that bottom three I cannot see us getting out of it. The Americans are not stupid. We have had an owner for 5 years who appears to have come from Disney Land.

T^he new Manger has had pre-season and 3 games to assess the squad, he has brought in players he apparently knows, not sure how he knew about Hemderson though. I am concerned that he does not know his strongest team or 18 even. If he keeps making wholesale changes we are going nowwhere except into a relegation fight. I question why Lars started in front of Velious and why Vaughn who was outstanding in the Cup match did not start?

When Nigel Clough was the manager of Sheffield United he tried to get Blackstock on loan but he did not want to drop down to Division One. He lives in Nottingham, originates from Nottingham and has family here, he will sit out his last year of his contract.

uptheforest, So you agree with the way the Club are treating the fans with the lack of information? Some decisions can be made without a manager. Any players whose contracts are up may be gone before a manager is appointed as they are entitled to speak to their clubs.

I have just heard from a mate in Derby that Gary Rowett is the favourite for the Derby job.
