1.) 02 Feb 2015 19:52:28
We're did he say that

{Ed003's Note - on social media}

2.) 02 Feb 2015 20:43:08
Away from topic but you have remained quiet on the pearce/freedman situation ed what's your thoughts.

{Ed003's Note - I don't rate Freedman at all dub,his style of play at Bolton was boring as hell - an ex player of his said to someone I know " He is clueless " - That being said the I did say yesterday on a thread Hull and Cardiff were boring as hell but they got promoted and with the players Forest have who knows ? }

3.) Thats not good to hear i was wondering what his style of play was. Do you agree with the sacking of pearce?

{Ed003's Note - I'm not sure to be honest, obviously 3 wins in 21 or whatever it was speaks for itself but on the other hand relegation was/is not a serious threat imo and maybe having this season as stability could have reaped it's benefits next season (We'll never know) but could you imagine if he'd taken the job back end of last season and that feel good buzz he created who knows what could have been achieved Forest wasn't far off then, that's when I feel the mistake was made dub.}

4.) 02 Feb 2015 21:18:42
As you say we will never know. I am over for the bolton game just hope were winning games by then cheers ed. Enjoy what seems to be a quiet night.

5.) 02 Feb 2015 21:32:32
I have been using this site a few years and that is the first time since Fawaz arrived that I have sensed real negativity from the editor. Never thought I would see the day, will take that as my cue to be slightly concerned. What on earth happens next??

6.) 02 Feb 2015 21:56:12
Freedman appointment is a sound choice. Technical very good and with the players at his disposal Forest will now start to climb the table. Problem at Bolton plsyers were simply not good enough. Forest players are!

7.) 02 Feb 2015 22:13:40
Disagree Bluebird. Half our team are just not good enough

8.) Sadly I worked out DF's points per game and applied against our games played we would have had 4 points more but ended the season on 62. Hmmm

9.) I am sceptical about Freedman but he did well at palace and first season at bolton after that pretty poor. But bolton were financially hamstrung apparently when they sold ngog for £3mill gartside had said it could be reinvested in transfer funds but then that was taken away. I live in hope that maybe he can make paterson the chris eagles type that played well under him in his first season at Bolton. Just no more hoofball please!!

10.) Really, we shall see Wilderbeast, we shall see. My take is that Pearce and his staff were simply useless.

11.) I am seriously concerned about the way the club is being operated - Fawaz has effectively saved the club but he has also made a series of errors that could have been avoided through simple communication (Darlow and Lascelles sale angering Pearce; Pearce sacking leading to Faulkner walking etc. ). He is a fantastic business man and the saviour of our club but my god. he really needs some guidance where the politics of football are concerned. Also the FFP situation suggests a naivety as to how serious the sanctionswhere going to be - the only way I can see out of this is for us to stay up and sell one or two of our major players in the summer. or get promoted which is virtually impossible now!

12.) 02 Feb 2015 23:49:27
It's a mess. It really is. Poor decisions being made by fawaz. Faulkner was bought in to steady the ship, improve us commercially and steer us away from sanctions. The ceo wasn't consulted when sacking Pearce or the appointment of df. Now he has walked. We are no further forward than we were a year ago. Cloughie used to say the men who hire then fire managers should be held accountable for their mistakes. He was right. This club isn't a toy. We are a laughing stock. No manager worth his salt would take this job knowing he will be fired in 6-7 months if that. I realise he has ploughed money into the club but at what cost now? Managers have their contracts paid off. Df is fawaz's 7th manager! that's a lot of cash rinsed away through bad decisions. This is going to end in tears.

I read this site a lot and it makes me laugh at what some fans think,
I dread to think how much money fawaz has invested in the club, if he had thrown in the towel he could of sold several players for big money this window but didn't!!
Not paying what we owe, could this be something to do with balancing the books under FFP? I am sure he could afford it and if not he could of sold a player to cover that cost, it business, people are late paying all over the world!!
As for the club being a laughing stock! Would you be happy to see us go down but still employ SP?. I think he did some good work behinds the doors and that could be the biggest loss, however fawaz offered him that position which Pearce turned down! PF resigned, fawaz didn't sack him.
Our club only remains due to fawaz!! A true support supports the club!!!!!! Good luck fawaz

1.) I agree with you. Fans have short memories, without Fawaz we may not even be in business anymore! He has made mistakes and he would be the first to admit that but i do honestly feel he is trying to do the right thing by the club. I, for one, was far from convinced SP was the right man for the job but i hoped and prayed he was. It has turned out he wasnt so DF's job is to steady the ship and keep us safe til we can regroup and see where we go next. So much negativity from fans, which i guess is inevitable, but they don't know what goes on behind the scenes. A little patience is required. One thing is for sure, the next permanent managerial appointment, whether it is DF or not, has to be the right one and not done on sentiment!

2.) 03 Feb 2015 14:15:31
Great post Peterlee Red. I too am as disappointed as anyone that it didn't work out for Pearce. I'd have loved it too, though I said at the time of his appointment that I'd have much more confident with a Clough/Pearce partnership. Nigel has the management nous and experience of steadying the ship and rebuilding in this league. Now, as you say, we have to get behind DF as he attempts to steady the ship and get us playing at the level you'd expect from our very good squad!

3.) And how many more times are we going to steady the ship and regroup with this nonsense chairman ?

Yes he may have invested in the club - but for anyone to say without him we would be gone is purely hypothetical.

Fawaz is constantly blundering from one mistake to the next. He needs to stop meddling.

Why appoint a CEO then not confer with him over important matters - it stinks of an amateur chairman.

I am sad to see Pearce go as he is a club hero, however if you look at the results, we would all be calling fort he managers head if it had been anyone else.
As for DF, its not his fault that Pearce got sacked, and he is now our manager of our club so deserves 100% support.
We have some very good players, on lots of money and these guys need to stand up and be counted, Pearce could not get it to work so let's give DF a chance, mid table is all we can expect this year now.
If DF can get the players performing I don't care who he uses.
As for the Chairman, I think we are lucky to have this guy at our club, his support at the club is fantastic. I for one think he is in a tricky position and I wish him luck in getting us to the prem league.

1.) Why has the Chief Executive now resigned. The club has been a laughing stock since Fawaz took over. I know he has put money into the club but he has no idea how to run a football club.

I agree that SP should of been told, however this may prove to be good business. We still have the players to play this year, if we go up then are they proven premiership players, if and only if the cash is reinvested in the team then we could be stronger this year, fawaz only wants to succeed, he has to balance the books somehow, and this is the first time we have sold players for any amount of money since he took over, he bought in so many players under previous managers guidance, let's get behind the owner, manager and team, this is football but it's also a business, good luck fawaz, I have faith in you and the team.
