Colby Bishop of Nottingham, once of Notts County's youth system and now scoring for fun for Accrington is being watched by Nottingham Forest.
He's 24 years old and his games to goal ratio is quiet good.

A late developer?
Been around the non league as have a few of accrington players.
But taken them to 5th in league one.
Worth a. punt in mormal circumstances but hughton is mr defensive so would ruin him.

For those of you reading about Arvin Appiah being linked to Germany, yes this is true, two clubs have contacted Forest but Arvin is happy to make steady progress with the reds, at most a short term loan to league 1 is possible if the club feel its right for his ability.

Rumours coming out of Greece that Luke Steele is set to switch to Olympiacos.

I wonder how much, if anything we will get for him, £500,000 maybe

2.) 09 Jan 2019 11:33:17
He has poured cold water on it on Twitter simply stating that it is not true

3.) 09 Jan 2019 12:07:31

4.) 09 Jan 2019 15:35:19

5.) 09 Jan 2019 15:59:28
Looks like we're after the Leicester keeper Jakupovic on loan for the rest of the season with a view to sign permenantly next season.

6.) 09 Jan 2019 18:14:49

Just been to get my ticket for Friday and my new shirt, talking to one of my friends down in PR who seem to think it's McDonald and a new left back that we are signing.

KevTheRef

1.) 31 Jul 2017 16:13:36
Either that or KFC for their dinner, i prefer going to Wagamama myself.

2.) 31 Jul 2017 16:49:11
no squad number 1 i'd say that's a clue.

3.) 31 Jul 2017 20:41:11
Hope it's chips its chips!

4.) 01 Aug 2017 10:12:25
Very funny mate!

I have heard from a current youth team player that Middlesborough have been in touch about Britt Assombolonga for around £11 million which was refused.
Apparently they are that desperate for Britt they have said they won't pursue Connor Mahoney if we agree to sell Britt to them.

KevTheRef

1.) 22 Jun 2017 08:58:21
Let them go for Mahoney. He is only an average player. There are better wingers out there.

2.) 22 Jun 2017 09:09:04
I agree, who do Middlesborough think they are, take the winger and we will keep Britt after all the Mahoney scored 4 goals last season which is nearly as many as the entire Middlesborough squad. Perfect fit! !

3.) 22 Jun 2017 10:38:05
20 million to a premier league team and I think we should accept. There is no way we should sell him a team in the same league. Get Glenn Murray on the cheap and Richie Towell from Brighton also.

4.) 22 Jun 2017 21:34:47
KTR seems to imply that part of the new regime's desire to involve fans and others in running the club, includes involving youth team players in confidential negotiations about the sale of first team players. Or perhaps not.

5.) 23 Jun 2017 17:23:17
I wondered when Mahoney would pop up in the Britt bid. 11 mil, your having a laugh Mr Monk.

So rumours are going around that Steven Gerrard could replace Steve Cooper as manager, Jeff Stelling mentioned it yesterday and he's apparently been at our last two games. Would you be happy if this was Cooper's replacement?

KevTheRef

1.) 23 Apr 2023 14:45:10
Cooper can't cut it in premiership that simple he's had a season and backing and West ham winning now gap between bottom 9 getting a lot bigger looks like it's between 5 teams now.

2.) 23 Apr 2023 14:48:23
I'll repeat myself again NO!

3.) 23 Apr 2023 14:49:48
Give him a chance, if he gets wins that would be great.
If he doesn't succeed then it's another manager.
Whatever happens stick by the Club.

4.) 23 Apr 2023 14:55:31
Yes I would be. Has great potential so why not realise it with us.

5.) 23 Apr 2023 15:22:28
Yes me Skegs and Stevie f praying for it ?.

6.) 23 Apr 2023 15:49:44
So why would Gerrard be better than Cooper he did well with Rangers in a Micky Mouse league and nothin at Villa.

7.) 23 Apr 2023 16:51:46
Not for me, no chance. Not experienced enough, as well as many other reasons.

8.) 23 Apr 2023 17:31:53
I’d give gerard my support, I don’t want cooper to go but if the club make a change it’d be hard to say he hasn’t got himself to blame.

9.) 23 Apr 2023 18:47:20
He's a useless scouser js1979.

10.) 23 Apr 2023 19:27:03
Balloons, I said I didn’t want Gerrard, but would accept him because he would be forest manager,

11.) 23 Apr 2023 19:28:40
It might be a Micky mouse league JS but both Celtic and Rangers are better than us ?.

Thoughts on Chris Cohen. Yes he scored a wonder goal v Ipswich at the end of last season but to me last night he seemed to be lightweight not wanting to challenge, getting shrugged off the ball easily and generally not interested. I personally think he's taking up a squad space for the likes of Edser or Ahmedhodzik who would have more fight. Vaughan is older but shows more for me, maybe it's an injury too much now.

KevTheRef

1.) 09 Aug 2017 17:30:23
The wonder goal that you mentioned was going straight at the goalie but luckily hit a defender in the head and flew in the top corner.
But yes i agree he is not up to standard and we can do much better.

2.) 09 Aug 2017 18:14:31
He has been told that if he thunders around and tries to change direction at pace he is putting hus knee at risk, basically his best endeavours are now behind him. Shame great inspiration but sadly a glass knee has curtailed his effectiveness.

3.) 09 Aug 2017 18:22:40
Harsh.

4.) 09 Aug 2017 18:39:06
Yes very harsh, in my opinion is he still has a lot to offer as a player. what he lacks in pace, skill, he more than makes up for in determination, and passion. judging him after one game? Behave!

5.) 09 Aug 2017 19:51:15
Get him on the back room staff. He is a Forest legend.

A journalist in the USA that covered John Jay Moores whilst he had the baseball team claims that the deal should be announced after the new year. He also states he will be a very good owner who will put "soccer people" in place to run the club effectively. By next season it will be totally unrecognisable to its setup and running now.

KevTheRef

1.) 29 Dec 2016 10:24:31
its not soccer it's football! put football people in charge not soccer. brad bobbly should of learnt that we don't like the American talk. well I don't anyway.

{Ed001's Note - actually soccer is an English word that everyone else adopted and the English got all snobby about it, despite them having invented it and used it first. It was to distinguish association football from rugby football, as both were called football at one time. Once rugby caught on as the name for rugby football, I guess we had no need of the word soccer.}

2.) 29 Dec 2016 12:10:20
Wasn't that before most teams had actually been formed as in the teams we support now?

{Ed001's Note - no, it was still in common usage long after most of our teams had appeared. Well, unless you support MK Dons?}

I would just like to say Carlos Carvalhal the Sheffield Wednesday manager has had more managerial positions than most have had hot dinners.
None of them are outstanding and he wasn't a well known person last summer. fast forward 12 months and after missing out on promotion is being linked with Southampton in the Prem.
But let's all just fob off every manager mentioned rather than get excited for a new beginning.
We've tried lots of other things and failed so why not an unknown or inexperienced manager?

I think you all need to be realistic, we can't spend money like its gone out of fashion and the players that come in know what the situation is.
Marinakis wants promotion but FFP is here and he's several years too late or could have thrown money at it.
Teams that have been promoted over the years haven't all had top players for big fees Pukki at Norwich, Alioski at Leeds etc
Come on everyone support whatever players wear our red shirts and if Lamouchi gets it wrong we'll we know what will happen.

Are you sure you don't mean Hull? Linked with them on a permanent deal, not championship standard so can't see Huddersfield buying him.

I know players have bad games but constant slanging off of players like Osborn, Cash etc won't improve them.
Most Forest fans wet themselves when Osborn scored the winner against Derby but turn on him in the blink of an eye.
James Perch comes to mind, moaned about constantly and then won promotion with another team and stayed in the top league for quiet a while and those who moaned about Morgan being overweight won promotion to premier league and won it too.
Yes give Appiah a chance, he's turned down two German teams and that's from his mouth, he went to school with my stepson, that shows commitment.
The only two that's been really poor of late are Pantilimon and Guedioura, two of the most experienced and senior players.
