Just read that Sunderland have made a bid for O. Burke said to be around £8 mil. Any thoughts on that?

LD3

1.) 25 Aug 2016 13:47:10
Yes I do actually. I have a thought about the premier league's money fantasy world and where they can stick it. We may need money but we simply cannot sell our brightest prospect year after bloody year!

2.) 25 Aug 2016 13:56:50
They've got to be having a laugh.

3.) 25 Aug 2016 14:24:45
Ive read over the past few weeks that every premiership club as put bids in for burke it makes good reading lol untill it comes out of forest that he as put pen to paper that's all it is talk he will be staying coyr.

4.) 25 Aug 2016 15:02:57
You have to ask yourself, what are these guys doing for their money at their clubs? . Surely they can unearth their own talent!

5.) 25 Aug 2016 15:28:21
Burke is the brightest talent to come out of the youth setup for a while. Yeah we've had Walker, but as yet he's not lit the blue touch paper in his forest career (still time though! ) . Burke offers Forest what we've been missing for far too long; that someone with a bit of muscle about him that has bags of pace and skill, and that the opposition don't just brush aside when he runs with the ball. Too many of our players are lightweight and too easily bullied off the ball.

6.) 25 Aug 2016 15:35:12
You'd have thought so wouldn't you rogie. Well I have news. The best talent is found in the lower leagues. The genuin blood thirsty for the game not just the girls and limos! We have a terrific academy that should be our model for success. It has produced one future superstar in Oliver Burke already. And he will be a superstar, heard it hear first, don't like putting too much pressure on but he'like be on Par with bale standard by 24/ 5.

7.) 25 Aug 2016 16:38:46
True HTF. I've yet to see an Academy to match ours ATM. great to see the other young players starting to make their mark.

8.) 25 Aug 2016 16:59:22
Rolls eyes and shakes head in disbelief 😩.

9.) 25 Aug 2016 17:57:58
Wow, talk about over inflated opinions! Let's not get ahead of ourselves lads, as much as I personally wouldn't want to sell Oli, £8m is a lot of money and this day in age every player is 1 bad season or 1 injury away from disappearing.

Like I said I hope he stays and continues to impress but he has had as many good games as pato 2 years ago when everyone went mad over him and look where he is in his career now, most of you would have put him down like an old race horse until he scored the other night!

10.) 25 Aug 2016 18:31:27
Well said herefortheforest more hunger in lower leagues and burke simply must stay.

11.) 25 Aug 2016 19:07:24
You all know he will leave and get loaned back for about 9 million, it's the way we work. Poor decisions are our forte.

12.) 25 Aug 2016 19:22:18
Gareth Bale. Lol 😂.

13.) 25 Aug 2016 20:53:10
If we are going to get in the habit of selling our best players Britt/ Burke etc then we should start putting on an extra £10 million on their heads the Premiership is awash with money, else we will never go up!

14.) 25 Aug 2016 21:26:21
easy worth 10 million in todays market.

15.) 25 Aug 2016 23:21:41
Has anyone noticed that this season we are a buying not a selling club? Therefore can we have a more positive change to the posts on who else we should be signing rather providing ammo for the red tops?

16.) 26 Aug 2016 13:27:24
I know a lot is said about contracts not being worth the paper they're written on but let's not forget Burke signed a 4 year deal in February! Which says a couple of things, Burke must be relatively happy at the club because there has been interest in him for awhile even before he signed. Also the club are putting themselves in a good position for what will likely be "when" he leaves to get a good price. Personally I think he will stay this season but likely move on next summer. COYR.

17.) 26 Aug 2016 18:30:00
RedinExile
This season we have only bought Vellios
If these free transfers turn out to be any good we may have the
right manager
So not a buying club or a selling club Yet.

18.) 26 Aug 2016 19:18:46
So 1978 paying a new player money to sign a permanent contract is not buying a player? We have released a load of out of contract players and only sold De Vries and taken one on loan if I am not mistaken?

That's a buying club in my book!

Does anyone have any news on pinillos injury?

LD3

1.) 19 Dec 2015 19:20:29
Doesn't sound good in afraid. Massive shame. Best left back we have had since the great SP and when he went off today the whole game changed. Going to be a huge huge loss.

01 Sep 2015 12:20:05
Apparently we have put the price up for Antonio, from 7.2 mil to 8.95 mil and we want the money up front. West Ham are unlikely to pay 9 mil for him so looks like he might be staying. Talks have died down between the clubs.

LD3

1.) 01 Sep 2015 12:33:02
How do you accept a bid & then decide you will change the price? Total nonsense. Being widely reported that we want cash up front yes. It will still happen & Antonio will be gone.

2.) 01 Sep 2015 12:48:35
Move back on,money upfront

3.) 01 Sep 2015 13:06:13
8 million is the minimum Fawaz will accept.

4.) 01 Sep 2015 14:10:43
Nick26, I'm only saying what I've heard mate.

5.) 01 Sep 2015 14:29:39
I've also read that we've gone back to West Ham with a higher price after accepting their bid. If true, isn't it exactly the kind of shenanigans we slammed Wolves for over Sako a couple of deadline days ago?

Is it just me who would rather keep Cummings as a 4th choice striker (behind Grabban, Soudani and brereton) and get rid of Murphy?
Cummings has age on his side and could improve and from what I saw of Murphy last season (after injury) he wasn't up to scratch. Plus Murphy will be on higher wages?

LD3

1.) 07 Jul 2018 11:45:57
Trouble is Cummings never has and I don't think ever will be able to play as a lone striker

2.) 07 Jul 2018 11:52:55
I agree LD, what I’d do is send Brereton and Cummings to Notts county’s promotion rivals to ensure their season is another failure. Hopefully super Mario has thought of this already and is on the case

Do you think it's a good thing Derby have sacked their manager just before the big game on Saturday? Just interested.

Don't post on here much, but I hate to admit it we are going down! Protests are needed to get rid of this clown!

From what I've just read; fawaz gave PM and PP freedom to choose players they wanted to sign Since OB left. They chose the 3 we have signed and he said he had no interference.
I understand people are angry that we haven't bought any big money players but let's just get behind the team and the manager and we might just have a chance!
I'm forest till I die no matter what happens 🔴⚪️.

LD3

1.) 31 Aug 2016 23:38:11
yes that's right but he also sald you have only got 300k to spend.

2.) 01 Sep 2016 00:34:03
He also said not long ago he was looking to bring a striker in that would cement a top 6 finish. Total carp.

31 Aug 2016 11:53:17
Now I'm not saying that this is going to happen because I don't know why he would come to forest. BUT if Rhodes came to forest I would forgive fawns for selling Burke. Our odds for signing him have gone from 33/ 1 to 7/ 1 and apparently might fall even more. Only a rumour but there is a small chance it may happen.

LD3

1.) 31 Aug 2016 12:49:44
I agree I too would forgive Fawaz selling Burke IF he could get us Rhodes but unfortunately I don't think Fawaz would even be thinking along those lines and anyway just been on SSN Rhodes not expecting to leave Middlesbrough today 😪.

If true I think that would be great not only for the players but for the fans as well. I believe that Nigel Pearson could actually do things with Nottingham forest and lead them in the right direction.

Pants
Robinson, Dawson, fig, Byram
Watson, Colback (think Bridcutt deserves a chance at some point)
Dias, Carvalho, Goncalves
Grabban

Bench: Smith, Worrall, Osborn, cash, Bridcutt, Lolley and Soudani

Having said this, I believe our squad now is very interchangeable with a few good players challenging for each position, for example I believe all 4 centre backs are capable of being first team regulars. This healthy competition will only make our first team stronger.

So Ryan giggs who has very little managerial experience, would do better than PM? Doubt that mate!

I think Henderson still looks a bit shaky; should have come out for the cross when Will grigg scored! Although once he has found his feet think he will be quite a good goalkeeper. Still think we should try and buy Dimi as he was quality for Middlesbrough last season and knows the league!
