just checked a load of norwich sites and they're all full of becchio £1. 8m - looks like a great deal to me, been in leeds a lot of years and nobody here wanted him to go. with our service 25 goals and up as champs! coyr

leedsred

1.) We may well be interested, but so it appears are other clubs, think middlesborough could pull of the coup by trying to get both bechio and ayala, perm an loan, may have
more pulling power?
Kirkby red.

2.) He's 30 in December. I would rather look at Nahki Wells

3.) More pulling power? :)

4.) 25 goals is a bit optimistic if he signs I say 15 goals for the season but he might not get service from other strikers as they would rather go for goal than pass to a team mate for an open goal

5.) Hope not, he's not 4 me.

6.) More pulling power than top of league, unbeaten, best manager and owned by a billionnaire willing to spend?

Notorious PB

7.) It's David prutton coming back to sure up the middle of midfield.

8.) Pulling Power? Don"t think so mate, if any club"s got pulling power it"s Forest!

9.) I now I'm biased but Forest have made their intentions clear in everthing the've done, Premership here we come, if that's not pulling power, don't know what his, if I were a player the would be top of my list to join in Champioship

10.) Ref the pulling power thing its been mis understood my fault, concur with us pushing for prem etc etc, mean that at the Norwich end would be easier dealing with just one club, oppose to two, if borough meet there value, and that him coming with a team mate, Norwich mite push it towards borough that's all!
Kirkby red.

guys, put your money on Shane Long, 50 odd goals in about 200 appearances, with 80 as sub. Contract up next august so WBA look like bagging the cash now and we get a top striker who will get 25 goals this season.

leedsred

1.) So he can sign a new deal at wba? or drop down a division and come to forest on less wages? hurrrm no

2.) Shane long vs what we know.
Plays in prem? Check.
Good record in champ? Check.
Available for 1.5 mill? Next.

3.) He will be staying in the Premiership. No chance

Should've happened three weeks ago. Even an average would get more out of this squad, who by the way, should take a long hard look at themselves.

He has to go, he has to do the right thing and resign. Whilst I think Pearce is not the man for the long term, the players also have to shoulder a lot of the blame. It just isn't working and there are no signs it is likely to improve. I believe we have to give the right man time and he has had more than most would've had to show he is worth the owner and fans support. It just hasn't worked and its time to face that rather than blindly following to League one, because that is clearly where we are heading at the moment. The support SP receives is admirable but is sadly misplaced and becoming quite embarrasing. Do the right thing SP and save Fawaz the grief he will get whichever way he decides to go in the next week or two. Standing by for the stability and stand by SP brigade to get into full flow .

It's alright people keep banging the drum about 'stability' and 'give it time' but surely it has to be the right person in the job in the first place? Whilst the support for SP is admirable it is by no means as widespread as the media like to make out. And what is the magic amount of time to give a new manager in modern football? Surely the best part of 7 months is a reasonable amount of time to make some forward progress? Football wise we have gone backwards three years! We have no apparent shape, style or identity. Mind you we are missing key players .

I'm all for stability and giving a manager time, but it has to be the right man! It has to be someone that shows they can use the time to build towards promotion and no matter how many SP supporters bang the drum in his support SP hasn't done anything to show this is the case or is likely to change. The blind loyalty is admirable but misplaced as the longer his tenure is allowed to limp along the more harm is being done to his status, the playing staff and fans who appear to be moving into the for and against SP camps. I was at the match yesterday and the support for SP was not as impressive or widespread as was reported in the radio commentary or in the press. I hope that SP does the decent thing and resigns as Fawaz is in an impossible situation as whichever way he goes he will open himself up to a world of criticism.

I've been a fan for 35 years and never felt the need to post on a forum such as this until now. SP is a Forest legend abd a fantastic guy but he just isn't cut out for management. I am all for giving a manager time and have been a supporter of stability but SP has to go. The team is leaderless, passionless and our lack of identity with regard to a playing style is shocking. There are no signs of recovery or it getting better with time it just seems to get worse. As one respected journo has written, SP is the ultimate 'new broom' manager, fantastic for the first ten games but then deteriorates over time.
I hope SP does the right thing and steps down as Fawaz is in a lose lose position. If he holds firm things are iikely to get any better. Yet if he sacks SP that % of supporters (not as many as people are implying) blindly loyal to SP will cause a fuss and make noises in the owners direction.
I hope a change is made for the sake of everyone and wish SP well if it does happen.
