talk of sacking the manager is ridiculous

we were saved by goal difference last year.
its really not realistic to be up there this season.

we ARE a work in progress, progress isn't made over night.

Teams don't work on the style of play often during very busy periods, they are busy planning for the next opponents.

obviously i'm not happy with losing and gifting goals from some of my previous posts.

we are a club having lacked concistency and stability in the last few years with one of the biggest hiring and firing rates, where has it got us?

we've seen us play some fantastic attacking stuff, you can't deny progress is being made. unfortunately we're not consistent but i'm in no doubt if we stay with the bread man, with a few more squad additions, we will get our rewards and a positive finish compared to last season. which is what we all want.

Talk of work in progress is a sick joke. Is there a manger since Brian Clough who has a worst goals against recorder for the number of games played at this point in the season ? I do not think so. As soon as the owners own problems are out of the way and if we are still leaking goals for fun the Warvburton will be gone,

2.) 04 Dec 2017 16:24:32
If we can get in a CB who takes no crap, and a decent forward,I reckon that would go some way to fixing our inconsistency,so please Mr Warburton, sort the CB problem at least!!

Worralls last ditch tackle last night was absolutely outstanding, on top of a fantastic game winning everything on the front foot and most in the air.

Star of the future if he plays like that week in week out.

A good away following tomorrow, a short trip down the road, let's do what we can to keep the wind behind the sails. push them on to carry the form on from QPR coyr.

Apparently a thief hid in Chris Kamara's garden last night. don't believe it. it was obviously a "plant!" πŸŒΏπŸŒΏπŸŒΏπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

Really want to see a positive turn around Vs Burton following Sunday's result.
Would love to see us score first.

with speculation around MW's future already, got a feeling this could be a must win match for Warbs.

It will give us a true indication of where we're at. If we can't get a result against Burton at home, we're either in for a dire season or something needs to change.

2.) 18 Oct 2017 15:22:33
I'm not advocating a change of manager but MW supporters assume he knows what he is doing. We shouldn't overlook the fact that he doesn't really have a football background, has built a reputation on 1.5 seasons at Brentford and very little else to justify his ability. We are placing a lot of faith in a man who has walked out of a job when the going got tough at Rangers when he was failing to impress.

I don't know if he is the right man or not but there are 2 key questions, should we continue with a manager who is relatively inexperienced or if things continue to go on a downward spiral should we forego stability and replace sooner rather than later. Whatever happens it shouldn't be a knee jerk reaction but a decision to bring in a manager with far more experience who has been identified and recruited first.

3.) 18 Oct 2017 18:15:09
syred I do not think it will be a knee jerk reaction if Warburton is sacked after the Burton. I cannot remember such a bad run of defeats and leaking goals, virtually 2 every game. The manager does not appear to know how to change or stop this. He has had money to spend and been well backed by the new owners. He should haved brought in 2 centre halves in the close season. Surely he must have known last season that the defence needed sorting out. I would imagiane a new manager is being sourced, no doubt it will be a foreign manager.

4.) 18 Oct 2017 18:51:36
According to rangers players and a Brentford player mw isn't so much bothered about defence. one Brentford player who was a defender said mw didn't get them training on set plays he said none of the defence knew who was marking who sounds familiar I still think mw should be given to February at least.

5.) 18 Oct 2017 19:27:35
Syred you put a great points over really well, we think alike.

6.) 18 Oct 2017 20:02:38
skegsjay.what an optimist you are.by february 2018 forest will be rock bottom.pull your head out of the sand.

7.) 18 Oct 2017 21:33:15
Syred with respect didn't Warbo get Brentford promoted then into the Championship playoffs on a tiny budget, then got a financially troubled Rangers promoted into the Scottish Prem and into 3rd place, winning a League cup on the way? Playing entertaining football on the way also? It's a record not to be sniffed at surely? On balance, let's give him a chance bearing in mind our chairman's view that we are a club in intensive care

8.) 18 Oct 2017 21:48:34
Cheers stokey someone putting the record straight.

9.) 19 Oct 2017 08:36:51
Ff79 Stokey. Can't disagree with your comments but in contrast the first time he got into trouble at Rangers where he couldn't match expectation he walked away. He doesn't have the experience his age would suggest and not experienced too many of the ups and downs in football. It must say something about him that Brentford got rid even though he had taken them to playoffs.

10.) 19 Oct 2017 09:13:42
What team are you watching blidred and let's be honest mw got left with a lot of crap in the team some of what he's got rid of some he still has he had about 4 million to spend on transfers some very good deals one or two bad ones but at 4 million you can't complain hopefully he will be given a decent amount in January to spend on some decent defenders if he doesn't spend the money on defence then I would be worried but you ain't getting any good defenders and try bulk the midfield up and add a striker for 4 million simples

11.) 19 Oct 2017 10:10:38
Syred

Did B C not walk out on Derby, and get sacked at Leeds within 44 days. Warburton is no Clough, far from it but you can not say because of a clash of opinions , and being tapped up by Forest Warburton is not a decent manager.

Like someone else has said if no defensive players are not brought in in January, if he is still with us then something is wrong somewhere.

1. Eric lichaj should NEVER miss a game if he is fit. Standout for me today. Defensively much better than darikwa.
2. Bridcutt, what is he playing at! use the ball quickly, look what you can do when you play it forward playing Mckay in! Should have taken a yellow for 2nd goal.
3.forward players cannot hit a barn door. We are missing Britt.
4.yellow card not seen for too long, not saying we should be flying in being stupid but not enough passion for me.
5.Do we have a motivation problem? Should need no motivation for this fixture. Two early goals in both halves screams this to me. Not wanting it enough. subs not changing the game.

6.a striker scoring for fun in preseason is missing. Where is Vellios?

I'm thinking a major rethink defensively is desperately needed.

1.) 15 Oct 2017 15:56:26
Manc a true evaluation of the team and tactical strategy warburton employs.
His is out of his depth in my opinion.
Not a fan of him personally but unfortunately he is the man in charge at present.

2.) 15 Oct 2017 16:54:48
Murphy played as a lone striker in two international games and he's 34,
Boss knows that but still expects a full shift again, maybe he should have been on the Bench? and let Brereton play up top or vellios, but neither where involved.
Eric showed why we shouldn't have signed darikwa, not needed and if he cost 2 mill then Eric is worth 4 mill.
I have stuck up for Warburton, but today he has baffled me by taking off McKay,the one player capable of unlocking their defence, waiting till this fixture to drop darikwa and Worrall, who are both Nottingham lads, should have been done weeks ago.
I fear for him to be honest,as a can't see any possibility of scrapping for a draw, you have to have that in your locker and we havn't .

he needs to stop being as naive defensively as he is, imho.

hes played some cracking balls forward though. just wish he'd do it more often!

might be a confidence thing with him.

when you have a player as good as vaughn, most players will pale in comparison

over the 18 games played seen a massive improvemnent in the young man. his kicking is 1000x better than it was at the start of the season.

Still needs to improve his composure and decision making.

would help if the manager would give up the hope of playing out from the back in dangerous situations.

1 conceded in the last 3, he's good enough for me!

we took a risk on the algerians a couple years ago. pot luck with some. i for one wouldn't be too hopeful on people coming from leagues I've only seen on fifa without rigourous scouting.

I trust in Mcparland!
