See what happens when you don't bring Watson in for colback, we beat the team that was top of the league, Watson after cup game last week should be a last resort I think, and after geddy performance today it might well be yacob and colback the next match well done today great win, great fans, in the play offs, only 4 points off 1st place I would have taken that at start of the season.

Nffc 1981

1.) 04 Nov 2018 09:58:22
Not sure you can drop Geddy after one below par performance. He's often been pivotal in our matches. and certainly provides a driving force and not without some creativity in passing at times. But whatever your formation, we have to drop Watson totally. He's had his day, he's a very real liability.

2.) 04 Nov 2018 11:05:34
a) We've beaten top of the league already v Middlesbrough on Oct 6th.
b) Watson played the full 90 in that game.
c) Forest haven't lost a game when Geudioura has played.

I'm not disagreeing with the sentiment of the opening post but it's also full of utter rubbish.

3.) 04 Nov 2018 23:21:12
It's horses for courses which is why we have 6 centre midfielders to match up who we play.
Everyone has a role and rotating them is key to keeping the tempo up week in week out!

23 Oct 2018 00:46:33
Karanka dissing the fantastic forest fans seems to have upset the majority on here, is he on borrowed time, Steve Bruce looking for work would he be someone our fellow fans would like to see in our dugout on Saturdays at home and away? Just asking?

Nffc 1981

1.) 23 Oct 2018 07:23:00
No thanks

2.) 23 Oct 2018 10:27:19
Bruce would be an improvement on Karanka definitely

3.) 23 Oct 2018 11:30:45
He only upset the one's that choose to be easily offended and the one's that can use it as another reason to want him out.

4.) 23 Oct 2018 13:03:12
His words don't upset me his football does lol

5.) 23 Oct 2018 15:25:57
Bruce almighty frying pan fire comes 2 mind no thanks

6.) 23 Oct 2018 21:25:18
Oh for goodness sake, short-termism with managers is half the reason we've not been in the Premiership for 25 years.

7.) 24 Oct 2018 05:58:25
DG
Perhaps with AK completely overhauling the team he has made a rod for his back. The owner decided to back AK in order to get promoted, would AK have been better getting proven players to do that, not bringing in bright prospects. The wants results now not next season. Just a thought.

8.) 24 Oct 2018 14:19:15
Bruce is awful. Certainly no better than AK, look at the squad he had at Villa! AK is doing ok but needs to be less cautionous, when we play more open and he picks attacking team (ie not Watson and Colback together!)) we have played some very nice football under him but he chickens out and tries to play safe too often and it keeps backfiring. I hope he gets at least until Easter but in modern times a few bad results and your gone! I think this squad is good enough, just not convinced 100% that AK can do the business with them but he detserves time and people offended by his comments regarding a fans should shut up moaning and support the team. I have hated most our fans for years. Moved my season ticket place on a yearly these days due to always having some negative nonce behind me lol
When fans stick with team and get behind players and the city ground is bouncing we always dominate and win. AK probably over estimates how important the crowd attitude is but fans under estimate as some games the dead or negative attitude in stands does certainly seep on to players on pitch.

9.) 25 Oct 2018 08:27:21
I struggle to understand why fans are such on a downer I could understand if we was sitting at the bottom of the table but we're just outside of top 6 and yeah not always playing our best but we're not losing as many as last season we played some better football and lost most games last season, ak ain't the best thing since sliced bread but even if we had Jose here fans wouldn't be happy let's gets some early Xmas cheer and enjoy doing the double over the sheep

10.) 25 Oct 2018 22:34:50
The home fans need to take a leaf out of the away fans book and ramp up the atmosphere for 90 minutes instead of going into their shell and moaning the moment the going gets tough at the City Ground.

It's all very well having high expectations and demanding good football but the home fans need to perform over 90 minutes before they complain about the team!

21 Oct 2018 21:03:27
Jesus, I don't know karanka is either blind or stupidly loyal it stood out a mile yesterday pants was pants (get it) defence can't trust him so it takes away from there game as well, he can't play against Bolton surely not if he does we could be in trouble the mind boggles we could be in for good season but not with him in the sticks yesterday was the last straw but he has been suspect before.

Nffc 1981

1.) 21 Oct 2018 22:33:17
Totally with you he's the worst I've ever seen, but karanka can't see it and he'll play him regardless.
Dias was very poor and has been most games, but he keeps playing him and as for playing Watson and colback together in home games, then karanka is not watching what we are.

Gonclaves isn't even worth a place on the bench and yet some like bridcutt, Jacob and the Greek lad don't even get a sniff, strange manager and arrogant with it.
I'll never forgive him for his comments regarding the fans, we pay his wages and he's shown a total lack of respect to us.

Try playing some attacking football and the roof will come off the city ground, we do like to be entertained karanka, so let's have a go at you for the poor showings we are witnessing at the city ground.

2.) 21 Oct 2018 23:15:45
I think people are overreacting and misinterpreting what Krankie said after the match regarding fans. I suppose it gives people another reason to hate him and want him out.

3.) 22 Oct 2018 08:08:06
Turn on the fans and get sacked simples

4.) 22 Oct 2018 15:14:46
He hasn't really turned on the fans though.

5.) 22 Oct 2018 16:04:13
He just plays the blame game,ie the players aren't carrying out his instructions, now it's the fans for not being vocal when things aren't going well.
That's the problem things have never gone well at home since he arrived,he'll probably blame the weather next, after all no blame lies with the chosen one and a lack of tactical changes?
He needs to stop blaming everything and everyone, play Saturday's game back and realise he made mistakes with the original line up,substitutes and tactics.

6.) 22 Oct 2018 17:54:27
Psycho,he couldn't turn his Mr's on!!! 😂😂😂

09 Oct 2018 20:55:47
5th in championship, one game off 1/4 final of a cup, Burton won't be easy but we should do a job on them, we have ability to field 2 strong teams if it was necessary league/ cup strongest squad in years, good manager, good board, good owner, great fans, great atmosphere around everything to do with forest, I love this club, we are forest, here's to s super season. FTID 👏👏👏.

Nffc 1981

1.) 09 Oct 2018 22:11:17
Nice post Nfcc. Have to agree it's good to have a start to a season that at present is looking positive on all fronts. Think the managers plan is starting to come together. Don't see any reason why it should not continue.

2.) 09 Oct 2018 23:12:47
Who knows they might also get the ticketing and catering up to scratch before too long?
I gather cheesy chips are coming to a menu near you?

3.) 10 Oct 2018 11:05:31
Blimey Red cheesy chips that's posh. Takes me back to my first match my bro stuck a cup of boveril into my hand saying get that down you it will do you good. Blimey the amount of salt he had put in it would have given a food hygienest a heart attack. 😁

4.) 10 Oct 2018 17:20:08
I think we have had enough cheesy talk on this forum!

5.) 10 Oct 2018 18:33:24
Ya "Gouda" laugh at that!!! 🧀🧀🧀

6.) 10 Oct 2018 21:06:49
Remember when we had Peter Stilton in goal ?
CARLO

7.) 10 Oct 2018 23:21:27
The steak and Stilton pies were great 👍

8.) 11 Oct 2018 01:54:12
You'd think Leicester would play in red like their cheese 😄

9.) 11 Oct 2018 11:01:41
Don't forget Dave "Edam"!!!😂😂😂

10.) 11 Oct 2018 16:42:00
Taking of cheese anyone remember Philip Montaneia ,the corner of the Bridgeford end loved him!
🌕🌕🍞🧀🧀🧀🧀🧀🍘🍺🍺🍺
CARLO

11.) 11 Oct 2018 18:59:45
I do remember his bizarre cheese party !!!

12.) 13 Oct 2018 14:17:28
I'm far to mature to get involved in this 😆

19 Sep 2018 23:39:36
Ben Osborn apart from the free for grabben goal his dead ball efforts were pathetic, he hit 2 corners from the side it was on to other side of the pitch bypassing all players not just forest ones. he had good game but should leave dead ball duties to someone else, cash out of it tonight Dias should start against rotherham.

Nffc 1981

1.) 20 Sep 2018 07:09:14
Doesn’t seem to matter what the result is or how well he plays, there is always someone on here ready to have a go at osborn. The fact he overhit a couple of corners is completely negated by the cross for the first goal and the setting up of the second plus his general all round play.

2.) 20 Sep 2018 08:48:53
Seems to me we have never had anyone who could take really good corners now for several years. Can anyone remember a player who could do so consistently?

3.) 20 Sep 2018 10:05:43
A solid performance and a great three points and yet someone is moaning about two over-hit corners. Dear me.

Hope your half-time pie didn't ruin the match experience, Mr Meldrew.

4.) 20 Sep 2018 20:55:16
Osborn generally takes good dead balls. Last night he proved what a cracking player he is. I wish he’d have buried his chances Saturday and last night , he got in some excellent positions and his flick was the brilliance behind the second goal. Time we all gave him he respect he deserves, I felt player of the season last season perhaps reflected how poor we’d been but that takes nothing away from Osborn and his exemplar performances consistently - glad we’ve not sold him.

5.) 21 Sep 2018 20:46:45
All the recent managers of different football persuasions had Osborn in their team. To me he gives his all for the club in a Chris Cohen manner. Benny will score goals but his assists are equally important. A future captain of our club when we are in the premier league following CC,s footsteps - but I hope not injuries

Congrats Burton, best team won we were outrageously bad deflected 1st goal fair enough but that was coming a while, back 4 terrible, Watson brutal cannot pass a ball forward, dias apart from one run anonymous, hef looked sluggish and slow, Dawson cannot play out from the back, bridcutt off match fitness, goncalves needs to head back to benfica asap, marinakas will not like this could this be the end of karanka. very poor performance tough being a forest fan.

Nffc 1981

27 Oct 2018 20:27:52
We went to elland road done what we had to do scrap it out, got ahead were doing ok at defending against the pressure Leeds put on, then the cheats struck blatant handball by roofe, should have been sent off deliberate handball, on our side what a performance by robbo excellent, carvalho poor, geddy giving the ball away far too much, how dias gets a shirt never mind on the pitch is beyond me, grabben poor also, crying out for Murphy tonight to hit that other cheat jansson a few slaps😤😤 going around all game trying to get forest players booked what a horrible person he is. ftid.

Nffc 1981

Nffc 1981

1.) 25 Oct 2018 12:17:45
I agree with team for Leeds. Not sure if Murphy has recovered from his virus though. Cannot allow myself to think about Burton until after Saturday's result.

2.) 25 Oct 2018 15:58:09
Team for Leeds good apart from no cash. I'd have him instead of osbourne

3.) 25 Oct 2018 16:54:31
Against Leeds he'll bring Watson back, Pants will be in goal, and Darikwa at right full back.

4.) 25 Oct 2018 19:21:52
Pants isn’t getting replaced for Leeds game

5.) 25 Oct 2018 20:50:07
Watson would be a massive mistake.
Dias needs leaving out

6.) 26 Oct 2018 18:30:07
Pants needs to be left out he is massive weak link 👎👎

24 Oct 2018 10:14:02
Jack Hobbs could get a hat trick tonight from set pieces if pants plays in goal, imagine how terrified he will be with a unit like him flying at him, if the guy can't deal with smaller players challenging him oh Lord could be a long night team tonight should be

Steele
Janko
Dawson
Figs
Fox

Lolley
Geddy
Colback
Cash

Carvalho
Murphy

3-1 forest.

Nffc 1981

1.) 24 Oct 2018 12:07:34
Agree entirely apart from Robinson at left back and Fox at CB in place of Fig

2.) 24 Oct 2018 14:10:00
Thought robbo still suspended apologies

03 Oct 2018 22:54:52
Absolute rubbish tonight 2-0 up against a team that will be battling relegation, we were shocking pantilimon embarrassing very poor big, awkward, stuck to his line, no voice, the strangest throw outs I've ever seen, how karanka can watch this is amazing, Luke Steele should be first name on teamsheet next time out, we have to learn to close out games, we are just not good enough at the minute ftid.

Nffc 1981

1.) 03 Oct 2018 23:09:48
Totally agree 1981. It's not as if we didn't know how Milwall were going to play. Should it not be the home side that usually dictates the game?

2.) 03 Oct 2018 23:17:05
Oh and Murphy should be second name on teamsheet!

3.) 04 Oct 2018 09:11:23
You can't dictate the game when you play counter attacking football,we did the job last night, even though we played badly, still 2 nil up somehow, but then the jolly giant decides to throw the game away.
The worst thing is karanka will play pants on Saturday and pullis will tell his players to close him down at every opportunity.
With no lolly on Saturday, think we'll be in for a beating at Boro.

Carvalho is going to be a great player, for us he is progressing well needs to bulk up,he has undoubted talent, few seasons from now when we getting bids of 100+ million for him where will the naysayers be then? Him and grabben getting a understanding going can only be good news for us 👏👍 ftid
