Eric Lichaj will be going to West Brom in January for £2.5 million. Deal is done. Hench the 'lap of honour' after he scored the second goal which in essence was a goodbye to the fans. Bad move in my opinion.

2.) 21 Oct 2017 20:37:59
Well that is crazy. If your info is correct. The sort of passion filled player that adds bote to the team...

3.) 21 Oct 2017 21:16:07
I wish it was bull Lander but we need to sell players and £2.5 million for a player that's out of contract in the summer is good business.

4.) 21 Oct 2017 21:23:01
Well Psycho could be right (but hopefully not). Watching Chipper's post match interview with Warburton Chippers was saying how good Eric played and about his goal celebration. Amazingly Warburton starts talking about Darikwa and what a great future ha has at Forest, totally deflecting Chippers statement. The fact that Eric hasn't been offered a new contract by now is very worrying.

5.) 21 Oct 2017 21:50:25
Why would West Brom want or need Lichaj in January?

6.) 21 Oct 2017 23:53:10
Exactly, no need for them to have him, not a prem player showed that at villa. lazy journalists

7.) 22 Oct 2017 09:28:32
So my first thoughts about the celebration seem to be right,a big two fingers up to warbo.
Why would West Brom pay £2.5 when they can have him In the summer for nothing.isnt he free to talk to teams in jan about leaving in the summer?

8.) 22 Oct 2017 18:05:01
Would you really blame Erick for going after all warbo don't appreciate how good he is I was reading on a site warbo saying that he's still figuring out his best 11 how much time does he need to figure it out sorry but I feel we are going down the same route as last couple of seasons hope I'm wrong

9.) 22 Oct 2017 19:03:20
Vulcan I think your reading to much into it.he does know his best team but that would consist of a couple of players he himself doesn’t like/rate so he will continue to mess around till those get injured or have a bad game to out them

Ben Brereton will join Liverpool in a £13m transfer and will be loaned back to Forest for the duration of the season.

1.) 12 Aug 2017 11:43:07
How true is that.

2.) 12 Aug 2017 11:55:25
he won't be leaving this summer, next summer is more likely.

3.) 12 Aug 2017 12:20:37
If MW keeps wasting him on the RW then I wouldn't blame him for leaving.

4.) 12 Aug 2017 12:23:01
Maybe he will go but Liverpool will only loan him back if he plays in his preferred position.

5.) 12 Aug 2017 14:21:51
psycho_clough where have you heard this then? breretons in the squad today so this sounds like rubbish.

6.) 12 Aug 2017 14:25:39
Don't be daft where do you think he would play if he went to liverpool? My guess would be wide in a front 3.

7.) 12 Aug 2017 14:29:35
If he's being loaned back why wouldn't he be in the squad?

8.) 12 Aug 2017 15:07:55
Time to take the goggles off chaps, no way BB is a 15 million pound player yet. Why is it that every player that steps out of our academy and puts on a first team shirt is worth millions? He did naff all at the end of last season and was rightly kept out by a half fit assombalonga. He looked very out of sorts last week, he's got a lot to prove. We heap far too much pressure on these boys because we over egg things and build up the expectation to unrealistic levels.

9.) 12 Aug 2017 18:27:29
Because one kid just sold for 200 million. Keep up.

10.) 12 Aug 2017 20:25:17
Who was miles better than Brereton keep down and go back to your pretend sums.

11.) 12 Aug 2017 20:50:47
Mr Flopp needs to sign some players that will keep Liverpool in the Premiership before he goes stealing young talent to rot in his reserves?

12.) 13 Aug 2017 21:54:17
How many times is miles better? 13 times better than a 18 year old?

Do the sums. lol

7 years older than BB at the rate of transfer inflation anything could happen. 15 million for Shearer in 1996 and 20 years on were at 200 million. That's going on for about 9 million per year increase on average.

Ok it doesn't flow like that but by the time BB comes for sale at the end of a 5 year contract 200 million might be happening fairly often and 300 million might not be out of the question for the best player in the world.

Don't look at what he's worth now? What is his potential value and as a bonus to any future club he'd be on much lower wages due to his age.

13.) 13 Aug 2017 23:12:29
Pmsl! He scored a couple last season and runs around a lot and he's got the attributes to be 200 million?

14.) 14 Aug 2017 10:21:21
Well said 2star. To much hype on these kids who show a little bit of pace with a half decent shot. i'd take 13m any day for Bereton. He won't get a guaranteed starting place in any top 10 prem side.

15.) 14 Aug 2017 22:14:04
Shall we buy no.22 an abacus?

Apparently, Mr. Warburton refuses to say whether Everton can recall young Dowell or not. He either doesn't know or he doesn't want to say they can. But you can read in into that what you will. Reading what he has said suggests to me that there is a recall clause. But he quite equivocal on the matter.

1.) 31 Oct 2017 15:28:38
Well that cleared that up:).

We won, which is good. Terrible performance though. 1-0 up after 3 minutes. We should've put them to bed but we let them back into the game. Don't think we we're the better side at all. Woeful is a word I'd use for our performance. Lucky in the end.

Same old forest we've become accustomed to this season. Most of the possession but created the same amount of chances the opposition created. Negative and predictable.

All might's and maybe's, GreyandRed. As from what I've seen up until this point of the season is what I'm basing my opinion on. Which is all I can do. I can't really see one or two signings altering the consistency levels in all honesty.

Our inconsistency will see us finish in the bottom half. Mid table at best. With Lichaj leaving in January, after rejecting a new contract, we will need a right back, a couple of centre halves and a striker. We won't be able to afford all 4.

It won't happen. We'll cash in on him in January. Take what we can.

With the benefit of hindsight letting Pinillos leave was a mistake. I think the reasons were that the manager was intent of playing a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 which Pinillos fit into neither. Not a left-sided centre back nor a left wing back. Good left back but no versatility unlike Traore or Fox who could both play the aforementioned positions within a 3 at the back. (albeit neither very convincingly but more so than Pinillos).

That sounds even better to me, south east red. Can't see a win at our place to be honest, never mind at theirs but the draw sounds an excellent idea.

Would've put a few more bob in the pot if it was at the Emirates, south east red. Gate receipts are split 45% per club with 10% to the prize pool.

Release clause was met which means he was going whether Forest liked it or not. Ultimately down to the player in these circumstances.

Just a shame it isn't being played at the Emirates. I for one would've definitely gone to that. Not so bothered about the FA cup so won't be going to this one. 0-5 anyone??
