It could be worse WB could still be trying to play a back 3 with wing backs
I'll be there against Sunderland just hope I don't witness the same second half dross
Murphy back up front
Walker dropped not even on the bench
Osborne back in Midfield
Traore back in the team
Breaton still trying on the right
God knows what team he will come up with!
It's like groundhog day.

Wondering if Daryl Murphy was given Christmas off to see family in Ireland ?
As one of our top payed players it wouldn,t go down to well in the changing room ,be interesting to know ,maybe some pre signing agreement.
CARLO

2.) 27 Dec 2017 18:34:52
More truth in that than most realise.
Said it before if I'd have known his family situation I would not have wanted him at the club.
Still think he leads the line better than any striker I've seen at forest for quite a while though, but you can't live out a suitcase in hotels while your family are elsewhere,it won't work in the end.

Jeez a parrot or clone of ff79. God help us. . Pieces of 8 pieces of 8.

5.) 27 Dec 2017 20:19:22
So you're a manager are you? If would of known. You have changed your tone about Murphy. One minute he's great the next you don't want him. i knew you were a chameleon🦎🦎🦎

6.) 27 Dec 2017 20:46:35
Try reading fawaz.
I rate him but,but being away from his family is my concern.

7.) 27 Dec 2017 21:33:02
It wasn't just Murphy. All the players had Boxing day off didn't they?

8.) 29 Dec 2017 02:48:50
Need to go 4-4-2 though I personally have no idea why people love Traoure so much! He is ok but gives ball away in bad areas, Lichij has been best Leftback this season! Our defence is a mess with so many missing though!

I would go with

Smith
Cash. Worrall Manchienne Lichij
Ward. Bridcutt. Osbourn. Mckay
Brereton Murphy

Subs
Henderson
Traoure
Vaughan
Walker
Bouchalakis
Vellios
Carayol

Like I said a few days ago there's no continuity with team selection it's like he hasn't got a clue how to use the players he brought to the squad
One week a player is on the bench or in the team the next they disappear off the planet only to arrive out of the blue then back in only to play in a different position
Then again I'm only fan and not clever enough to see the big picture
Very disappointed.

Was at the game not a great performance but a much needed win that's stating the obvious
What frustrates me is we got the early goal and then allowed a poor Bolton team to get on top.

Why does our manager thinks that Osborne and Dowell has the strength to be our midfield engine room.
Murphy hasn't got the legs anymore to run the line for long periods of the game
We certainly steadied the ship when Bouchalakis came on can't understand why he doesn't make more starts
Just a few points I could name a few more what do you think.

REDFREDDIE

1.) 10 Dec 2017 18:34:17
Very few of the midfield combinations MW has made seem to have worked so far.

2.) 10 Dec 2017 19:57:02
We need Jamie Ward in the midfield when we need to dig in as he is always the first to put his foot him and raise the tempo when required!

3.) 10 Dec 2017 22:19:05
Redinexile great post, you will see in my previous posts that imo Wardy should always start if fit.Great little player and a real (mostly unused) asset!

4.) 11 Dec 2017 07:00:05
He's not a MW player.

5.) 11 Dec 2017 13:32:27
Red, you have been saying for weeks our midfielders are too small, and we need bigger players to compete! How does pint sized Jamie Ward resolve the issue!? I doubt Warbo will risk playing him now, with his dodgy hamstring, one match could see him back on the treatment table for months! I think he will be moved on in January.

6.) 11 Dec 2017 18:04:34
Murdoch
You cannot pick players we do not have in the squad!!?
My issue is playing Vaughan McKay and Osborn together as they get steamrollered. Bridcutt has added some bite although not the tallest and Wardy is in the same mould!

7.) 11 Dec 2017 20:37:37
Trouble with Ward though red, yes he will run all day for you, is a bit nasty, but has no end product. Also some of his efforts on goal have been shocking. I'm not sure bringing him back is the answer. I'd rather see us having two quick wingers that would be the outlet for our "under pressure" playing it out defence!

8.) 11 Dec 2017 21:58:35
A slightly nastier Mackie?

9.) 11 Dec 2017 22:50:33
Yep with the same injury record and can only last 70 mins even when fit.
Not the answer for me,

24 Jan 2017 20:32:08
Just read that we have been linked to WBA assistant manager Ben Garner ?
At least he will know how to set up a defence having worked with Pulis!

REDFREDDIE

1.) 25 Jan 2017 07:10:01
He will come with a free parachute to put on the ball.

Can not understand the moaners the squad we have got is not any better than last year the team that played was almost the same as the one that got nearly got relegated last year so what are they expecting!
In the last nine months what players did WB bring in that have improved us? more proof that WB was not going to improve us with more time
AK has already identified what needs to be done it will take time it was men against boys yesterday and a sobering lesson of how much work needs to be done by the new manager.

REDFREDDIE

1.) 14 Jan 2018 16:25:05
So you’re saying redfreddie that this team is no better than a year ago even though we had assobongola there then in the meantime Assombalonga left and mw spent all of 3 -4 million on 4-5 players including one of our best players in the last season Dowell so what chance was mw gave with like you said a crap team I’m backing Karanka all the way but let’s see what miracle players he can buy with the same money and let’s see how long the fans give him if he loses or our new owner 🙂

2.) 14 Jan 2018 16:46:15
Yes the team is no better!
You have just agreed with me what is your point again

3.) 14 Jan 2018 16:56:45
try Reading it again redfreddie if you don’t understand what I’m saying don’t worry I won’t be offended as a lot of the time I can’t work out what you say or try to🙂

4.) 14 Jan 2018 17:08:28
I have read it again we are do agree
To much drink on Sunday dinner

5.) 14 Jan 2018 17:20:40

REDFREDDIE

1.) 04 Jan 2018 15:02:58
Red Fred

In reply. .

It is almost as if just knowing the truth is worse than not knowing. That however is not the case. Not knowing can be better than knowing at a certain point, if you speculate and figure it out first.

Humans like to think we are rational beings, and thus there is an arbitrary sense of gratification when we speculate and figure something out, regardless of whether we are right. Because hey, I figured it out. I figured out something that is the truth, all on my own.

Even more so when you know you are speculating without any facts whatsoever, and it could be a long shot. But then you turn out to be right in your speculation. And then you get to say “aha! I was right. I told you so!”. Regardless of whether you previously had any confidence in your conclusion.

People would rather figure it out than just know. Because it is brain exercise, but more fun. Your brain gets to be a kid playing a game of lasertag for the first time. You don’t know what you’re doing most of the time but once you get one hit you feel exponentially more victorious with each one.

And we allow it, because it is often also fun to hear. However, humans being the social beings that we are, tend to focus our speculating abilities on people rather than ideas. This may not always have the best results (or intentions) and often lead to disagreements of some sort. That is the case of “just because we can, doesn’t mean we should” which people should widely adopt for a lot of things, to save a lot of people a lot of trouble.

Nevertheless, what comes out from these observations is that people have a thirst for knowledge. We yearn to know. We yearn to find out ways to utilise the world around us. Perhaps all we need is some guidance as to where we should focus our speculating abilities, and the world would be a much more intellectually stimulating (and less drama filled) place.

But what do I know. I’m just speculating.

2.) 04 Jan 2018 15:15:36
Hey there's only one Red Fred!!

3.) 04 Jan 2018 15:33:06
That's telling yer redfreddie.
Please don't ask that question again,I'm getting eyestrain😀😀😀

4.) 04 Jan 2018 15:35:21
I wish I had the time to respond properly to that. it deserves more time then I’ve got right now.

5.) 04 Jan 2018 16:01:05
Yes that’s right one red Fred is enough 2 is a nightmare

6.) 04 Jan 2018 16:37:50
There I was just minding my own business and the next minute I'm on the receiving end of a lecture and derogatory comments😢.

7.) 04 Jan 2018 16:47:02
I'm sorry Red Fred I hadn't appreciated the Red Fred / REDFREDDIE situation.

And that was no lecture and certainly no derogatory comments, all just good natured banter . as this site intended!

For the record I'm going for Ian Dowie!

8.) 04 Jan 2018 17:51:58
The derogatory comments remark was aimed at Skegs.
It cut me to the quick but I know he loves me really and Didn't mean it😉.

9.) 04 Jan 2018 21:11:09
Derogatory see what I mean using big fancy words to belittle me redfred this is a banter site you know you really could use words like taking the piss 😀 whatever happened to Ibeleiveinmiracles I miss is crappy banter it’s nearly as bad as yours redfred 😀

10.) 04 Jan 2018 21:39:13
Haha. I believe in miracles aka Wilderbeast.
I seem to remember he left with a strop on over a post that got rejected.
Shame. I used to have some good banter with him.

11.) 04 Jan 2018 22:21:25
I'm thinking of fredinexile for 2018!

02 Jan 2018 18:54:37
Had a look at our results since the season started just to remind myself of the games
I have always been opened minded concerning MW but I hadn't really realised how bad they have been
It's not pretty reading!
Hope we get the right man this time the result on Monday showed that with a little more organisation, work rate, and a little less of the tippy tappy in our own half proved we were sleep walking into a relagation battle as things stood.
That big worry for me is mainly the attack we haven't looked like scoring and when Murphy isn't playing which is starting to look more more often then not we are left with very inexperienced players that aren't good enough to do the job regularly
It's going to be an interesting month ahead.

REDFREDDIE

1.) 02 Jan 2018 20:17:16
Sounds like we rode our luck a little against Leeds rather than relying on it. At a stroke their was a positive change that was not complicated. As miks bassett once proclaimed four four *#$king two😂😂😂😂

2.) 02 Jan 2018 21:16:40
There was definitely less messing around at the back.More balls played down the pitch when under pressure.Granted some of them gave possession straight back but got rid of the immediate danger on our goal.

01 Jan 2018 12:07:26
Today's team selection could be very interesting it might give us some clues to what's been happening behind the scenes
If anything?
Looking forward to the game
Happy New Year to all.

30 Dec 2017 22:20:30
Words fail me.
Apparently plan B is to do plan A better
We were playing across the pitch sideways too much
We were leggy gas on empty
Some of the crap coming out of MW after the game I don't know what to say
Words do fail me!

REDFREDDIE

1.) 30 Dec 2017 22:51:27
Well "words don't come easy" although you seem to manage it in the end.😅😅😅😅

2.) 31 Dec 2017 10:16:49
RedFred You are one of the uninformed fans Warbo referred to in his interview when he explained fully plans b and c etc. If you actually listened to him he agreed that the performances were unacceptable and the players were not doing what was required to win the game ?
So get off his back while he gets some more players in that can do the job!

3.) 31 Dec 2017 10:41:17
Redinexile it would seem then that I am one of many uninformed fans and you are in the elite informed section.
Does him agreeing that performances have been unacceptable make him a better manager as any fool can see that or is it an admission that he ain't got a clue what to do about It?
Give him time to bring in more players like Darikwa,Bridcutt, Cummings and I'll turn up one game in every five McKay? They've all been revelations so far having they?

4.) 31 Dec 2017 10:44:41
Oh. You were referring to my mate REDFREDDIE.😁

Skegs it was nothing to do with the way the team was set up
Aston Villa are a very good side with a lot of experience we have a very young squad with no experience that should have been addressed in the last 9 months
A more balanced squad is what we need

Yes you’re rightFF79 Football is a team game but it is made up of individuals I’m not saying that Murphy didn’t work hard but I thought he didn’t have a good game .
If hard work alone was all that was required to get into the team then I apologise I think you needed more than just that !
End of the day it’s all about opinions that what’s so great about football it was still a very enjoyable Saturday
