Just been woken up by my son in law who was on his way to work! He's a notts County supporter but often comes to the city ground with me. His words where " sorry for waking you mate but I I've just pulled up at the lights on dirby rd and next to me in a new (BMWi8 reg MRK 1) was mark warberton, he said he nodded and nodded back so was close enough to have a really good views him. Can anyone else confirm this? Just wondering if Tuesday's result has effected the urgency of appointments an experienced manager? Coyr.

A odd way to deliver bread.

It is just a wind on your sin in laws part, just because we lost.

2.) 09 Mar 2017 08:05:54
Well he's convinced Tomorrow! He's just sent me a screen shot of a £5 bet he's just put on for warberton to take over before the end of the season. Bit premature for me as even if it is him, could just be in talks about the summer Coyr.

3.) 09 Mar 2017 11:11:36
Crumbs, use your loaf, don, t fall for it and don't get wasting your bread on those kind of bets, remember the Cornish Pasty goalie .
Having said that I suppose he, s got to earn a crust somewhere, knows Forest managers don't spend long on a roll!
CARLO.

4.) 09 Mar 2017 12:21:29
Son in law failed to mention his poor eyesight and that the reg number was on a Warburtons bread van!

5.) 09 Mar 2017 13:24:07
Thought you said he was on his way to work yet he had just seen him so must have been coming. Load of bull to me.

6.) 09 Mar 2017 15:04:39
Only Crumpets are delivered by car.

7.) 09 Mar 2017 15:52:56
Probably using the crumpets as spare tyres.

8.) 09 Mar 2017 15:50:52
Take a bow you "Pun-Slingers! "👍👍👍.

9.) 09 Mar 2017 17:07:33
If that's right then warburton is driving round without car insurance.

10.) 09 Mar 2017 20:12:04
'Crust" me boys, I'm a baker by trade. And those puns are make'n me "Rye! "😋😋😋.

11.) 09 Mar 2017 21:25:39
Rogie Red

Just do not let the dough go sour.

12.) 09 Mar 2017 23:24:13
Enough said now me old flour!
CARLO.

13.) 10 Mar 2017 11:24:21
Dunno about that mate
. we'll have to "wheaten" see! 😋😋😋.

26 May 2016 09:27:46
Talksport talking about benitez staying at Newcastle this morning and warnock saying he would love to lock horns with him again! Don't know if anyone else picked up Brazil in the background? Said down at the city ground? Coyr.

Red2dead

1.) 26 May 2016 09:54:14
I wasn't too enamoured about warnock initially, but I'm quite excited about him coming! Fingers crossed!

2.) 26 May 2016 10:31:41
Yeah heard that Red2dead. didn't he mention another ground as well though? I imagine most of the Championship clubs without or wanting a new manager would be sniffing around Warnock, love him or hate him he's proven.

3.) 26 May 2016 10:58:38
You sound quite passionate about Wanock brummie.

4.) 26 May 2016 11:19:49
So what's the deal with Pearson now?

5.) 26 May 2016 11:32:00
I am, but I don't know why, maybe I've just warmed to him?

6.) 26 May 2016 12:23:04
Pearson is odds on to be sheep manager ain't he?

7.) 26 May 2016 12:33:55
Sherwood was dierby favourite at evens.

8.) 26 May 2016 12:46:22
Pearson is 1-3 for sheep job and Sherwood is 6-1.

9.) 26 May 2016 12:51:09
I did notice on the odds list that Mel Morris is 28-1 to be sheep manager.

Bigger odds 33-1+ is the likes of Holloway, hoddle, stimac etc.

10.) 26 May 2016 14:29:39
Looks like the new sponsor will have plenty of punters.

11.) 26 May 2016 18:17:32
Pearson now 1-4 with certain bookmaker's to be sheep boss.
the big sports channels betting site look at there odds.

26 Jan 2016 08:55:33
Apparently we have a offer in for Livingston wanderlust Mathew Knox a 16ur old striker being tracked by Everton, Liverpool, Chelsea and a few other top Prem sides. I'm not sure how ffp works regarding buying g young players u18's?

Red2dead

1.) 26 Jan 2016 10:55:45
The offer has been rejected apparently.

31 Aug 2015 17:08:19
Jonathan walters ;)!!!!!

Red2dead

1.) 31 Aug 2015 18:18:46
Stoke have already turned down 2m for him so how we going to get him for free?

2.) 31 Aug 2015 18:32:08
yes please x 3 every day of the week!

3.) 31 Aug 2015 20:07:58
Cannock he is moving hence him not joining up with the ireland squad!! Loan to perm why not?

30 Jul 2015 10:09:14
Bin told by a friend that has mixed results with his rumours with some coming true out of nothing and others comming to nothing that Rickie lambert is no1 choice on loan with view to buy!? Everything I've read idicates he's going to west brom but this guy reckons liverpool don't want to sell to another prem team?? I think this would be the signing of the season if we could pull that off! I've read other places about murrey or nuggant being on df's radar who i think would both be good signings. Anyone else heard anything? Is this the reasoning behind not giving maynard a contract? Coyr.

Red2dead

1.) 30 Jul 2015 11:23:45
According to The Times, Lambert is linked to Spurs or West Brom!

2.) 30 Jul 2015 13:18:08
At west brom having a medical tv sports news

3.) 30 Jul 2015 14:19:42
As with most Loan Targets as we are unable to pay a loan fee we won't be getting any internationals on loan.

4.) 30 Jul 2015 17:34:31
Must be something in it not to give Maynard a deal, must have someone lined up

5.) 30 Jul 2015 21:24:15
yes. I can see lambert coming to a middle of the table championsip team for 10k rather than to a middle of the table prem team for three times the amount. LOL

6.) 31 Jul 2015 10:44:13
Even under FFP at least we can afford the annual ridiculous rumour of the summer!

Sorry Red2dead, your mate needs his head read.

I'm struggling with some of the (so called) Forest fans on here, before the season kicked off I can't remember any comments saying we should be top 6, we all agreed progression would be a great season i.e mid table looking up? 2 league games in and three straight wins and some seam to have forgotten last season, I've seen post's getting at Osborne, brereton, Smith and worral. these are young lads who any team in this league and a lot in the Prem would snap up, yes there going to make mistakes and yes from Tim e to time it's going to cost us but that's how they learn. I'd rather have them making these mistakes and learning from them than journey men marking more costly mistakes like in the past and not giving a damn what effect it has on our club! We have a new young exciting team who will learn and improve but they need time to settle and blend so just get off there backs. Coyr.

Red2dead

1.) 14 Aug 2017 12:40:24
So if a 18 year old makes a key basic mistake its classed as genuinely a progress mistake but if a 35 year old made the same mistake its classed as old journey mans costly mistake.

In my eyes a mistake is a mistake and all could be costly.

Wouldnt you rather people piont out the areas we are making costly mistakes (giving balls away to easy in dangerous areas, etc) . So they can be addressed. Progression is identiflying weak areas and improving them.

2.) 14 Aug 2017 13:15:21
Darren, great post. If you're good enough you're old enough and if you're good enough and old enough to play then you are good enough to not make any more than an average amount of mistakes and old enough to not hide behind being young when you make them.

3.) 14 Aug 2017 13:22:36
Wow! Do you honestly think that the professional coaches and management team need the mistakes pointing out lol? I didn't imply they didn't need correcting I was stating they don't need dragged down by so called fans who should be behind? I'm sure we all make more basic mistakes whilst learning our profession than we do when we've been doing the job ten years. Coyr.

4.) 14 Aug 2017 13:27:07
76. There is nothing wrong with pointing out where the team is going wrong but how it is put makes a big difference, for example. The mid field need to improve on their tackling, as it puts more pressure on the defence. Although we are scoring our season will be better if we manage to tighten things up so we concede less, Or The midfield are useless at tackling, the defence is making the same mistakes as last season, we need to get rid off them. We will be fighting against relegation again unless the manager spends big.

5.) 14 Aug 2017 13:49:09
Fighting relegation what a load of crap and you can quote me on that at the end of the season.

6.) 14 Aug 2017 13:56:54
People do make more mistakes when they are staring out for sure. If they are exceptional talents they probably make very few which is why they are exceptional. Our academy players are excellent prospects and the best we've had for years but they aren't truly exceptional in most cases.

This over egging their ability and capability seems like the similar thought plain of over expectancy of where the club should be and what it's status is.

So here it is:

We've been out of the top flight for 20 years
. we have been in the third division for three seasons and nearly went back there twice.
The football league stopped us spending money because we were financially unsustainable this means there was a strong chance we'd go out of business.
Unless good things are happening out avegae gate is 20k
Relative to where we are our academy is first class but if all those players were truly expectional we wouldn't have been where we were last season.
The big hitters from the prem who we are light years behind would have signed them all.
Forest are a broken club being fixed and making there way to competitive respectability, the disease of over expectantly and the addiction to thinking we are something we aren't very nearly killed us, especially when an owner shares the same traits and recklessly goes about his business in the way he did. It's hard to grasp how much has to happen before we all realise there is no magic pass to the premier league for clubs like forest.

7.) 14 Aug 2017 14:23:44
Skegs. You are not taking my post ho
W it is intended to be taken. I was simply stating two different stances one that is sensible, the other being negative, and it is better to be sensible and not overreact. Obviously you scanned rather than actually read my post, or have you been drinking the Stella already. l.

8.) 14 Aug 2017 14:37:41
lol, tomorrow not only makes posts but also tells you how to read them now.

Come on Skegs, please read properly ok:)

9.) 14 Aug 2017 14:55:07
Correct me we did win Saturday?
So why all the doom?
We'll win tomorrow as well.
We've played three games and put out three different sides, giving most the squad playing time.
The team needs time to gel, wait a few games and then evaluate how good or bad we are.

10.) 14 Aug 2017 14:59:12
42. You seem obsessed by tomorrow.

11.) 14 Aug 2017 15:05:15
Let's wait 10 games and see how things are shall we? In the meantime just enjoy the good football.

12.) 14 Aug 2017 15:10:53
Sorry ginger I'm getting so fed up with negative posts that I think everyone is doing it and no bright I work a 13 hour day so no chance of having a drink.

Skeggy-Work hard and play hard mate 🍻.

14.) 14 Aug 2017 17:43:04
Work hard and play harder mate 🤑🍻🍻.

15.) 14 Aug 2017 18:45:59
I know, there's so much more to be cheerful for this season and people still pick:)

Something I have noticed is Marinakis has left MW to get on with it and Randall QC to make the announcements and seems to be backing the team and club very well.

How refreshing and nice that he doesn't appear to be pushing himself into the limelight like certain others did and is happy to take a back seat role.

Best thing that has happened to us for a long time. Thanks Mr Marinakis.

16.) 14 Aug 2017 19:17:58
42. Very well put, the day to day running should be left to the people the owner has considered appropriate for their various jobs, only the major decisions should be of concern for the owner. If the owner stays patient progress might be made on the pitch aswell as off it.

17.) 14 Aug 2017 20:22:02
Red to dead I agree with you totally on your first post. Young players make mistakes. Look at Worral. Sometimes gets caught out of position but everyone can see how much potential he has. He needs games to learn. Next season he and some of the other young uns will be superb. Stability this season. Ideal time to build and include the youngsters.

21 Jul 2017 10:22:53
I honestly didn't realize that strikers had a cut off date when apparently they can't score any more or contribute! 30 seams to be the magic number. Teddy sheringham? Peter crouch? Kevin Philips? All different types of strikers all went into there late 30s at top level, give the man a chance, I'm sure if he came on and knocked a few center backs around and maybe headed a winning goal in the playoffs many would play a different tune! Coyr.

Red2dead

1.) 21 Jul 2017 10:59:31
R2d. Like it or not giving a 3 year to someone who will only lose value should he not work out for us does seem a strange move. We have been burnt enough times with players refusing to leave when we want them to because no other club will pay the wages we give them. It is not about his ability, like UTF has said give him a 1 year deal with a option for another year. If he is confident in his own ability there should not be a problem.

2.) 21 Jul 2017 11:47:29
ABF in an ideal world I totally agree but as we know we wasn't the only team in for him? Maybe it's not all about football either? Loads of people clambering for a John Terry or Micheal Dawson figure at the back to help our younsters, showing them professionalism, game management ect! Maybe his experience is vital? Whatever the deal, if he helps us to a top ten finish maybe pushing for top 6 while our youngsters learn and grow for the future he's worth it? I don't expect any fan expects him to start week in week out he just offers something different up front of needed? Amiobi knocked mills all over on Wednesday and to be honest I thought then that's something we don't have! Coyr.

31 Aug 2016 15:29:17
If and it's a massive if Ravel Morrison is brought in and if his head is straight, we will have one of the most exciting talented players in the world, he is that good but will he be the gifted superstar or the brawling street urchin?

Red2dead

1.) 31 Aug 2016 15:36:15
Most exciting talented players in the World? lol I think not. He has quality but not that much quality.

He's done next to bugger all for the last 2 years, I don't see why he'd be any different here. I'd rather pass. Although, knowing us we'll give him a 4-year deal.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 15:41:36
Morrison has more talent in his big left toe than Olly Burke 👊🏻.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 16:02:23
Yes i can see that ibm hence all the big premier clubs going in for him 😀.

4.) 31 Aug 2016 16:13:14
Don't be so sarky!

5.) 31 Aug 2016 16:54:48
I just knew it would be you skegs 🎣🎣🎣.

6.) 31 Aug 2016 17:45:22
We'll probably sign Ollie Muirs!

30 Aug 2016 15:28:45
RE-invest? 😂😂😂😂 I can't see any evidence from anywhere I've read that indicates we are going to RE-invest, not one of the players being mentioned would come under that title, the lad from Italy doesn't score goals sorry but we have strikers that don't do that already. Sako although a good signing imo would not cost a lot as palace want rid, caryol not good enough imo is a free! If we were being linked with players like Inga or Clinton Njie who's out of favour at spurs I'd maybe think otherwise but can't see any evidence of RE-investment as yet.

Red2dead

1.) 30 Aug 2016 16:41:02
Another poster who thinks we are not a championship side.

2.) 30 Aug 2016 16:57:52
I have just read a report which says that the Greek gent (who's name I can't remember) is ready to pull out of the club takeover because he is unhappy at the sale of Burke. Naturally I assumed that as Burke wasn't pleading to leave, it must have been someone in the higher ranks of our club who pushed it through. As it was the Greek I conclude that it was Fawaz and that he didn't consult with anyone before pushing the ejector button! So now I have plummeted from the euphoria of Saturday evening to the nightmare of yesterday, with an unhappy, unsettled squad, a CEO rumoured to be departing and four or five players so demoralised they want to leave. Even if they aren't permitted to leave their hearts will not be in it. Within a few days the club has gone from promotion prospects to relegation candidates. I'm normally an optimist but unless someone can give me some good news, I'm going to kick the dog!

3.) 30 Aug 2016 17:47:43
Terry please don't take it out on the dog - it's not his fault! You sound a bit peed off and I don't blame you but you and your canine pal have to live in hope that something good might happen before 11pm tomorrow. I've got a couple of mates who are Leeds fans and they always remind me things could be a whole lot worse - they say Forest are well run compared to them lol!

4.) 30 Aug 2016 18:42:34
Thanks for that Nffc, I'll spare the dog for now. He'd probably bite me anyway. I really can't believe that ANY club is run more chaotically than ours, even Leeds!

5.) 30 Aug 2016 19:24:13
Terry don't take it out on the dog mate Fawaz isn't worth it! I feel exactly the same so I kicked the missus! Our owner makes Cellino at Leeds look like a " world beater "! 3 Former " Giants " of the game Forest, Leeds and Blackburn all being destroyed by incompetent owners!

6.) 30 Aug 2016 20:17:55
We don't have a CEO.

7.) 30 Aug 2016 20:18:36
every comment above is ridiculous from seemingly still deluded surrealists. Only IBM speaks an ounce of sense.

8.) 30 Aug 2016 20:36:27
I agree with Herefortheforest 😬.

30 Aug 2016 11:16:37
Well let's see what the next 48hrs bring? For me if fawaz thinks loaning a second rate player from Italy and a free transfer from the north east is going to keep me spending my money down at the city ground he's sorely mistaken, I'm fed up with him pissing on our backs and telling us there's a leak in the city ground roof!

And? Signing 3/ 4 squad players should not appease us fans, told weeks ago we are working on signing a striker that would make us a top 6 side. Well pmsl caryol is no better than what we have and if the lad from Italy makes us a top 6 side I'll grace A block in a sheep shirt. Nothing but bs and I for 1 have had enough of the taste.
