We may not have the best squad in the Championship but we now have a squad of determined good characters who play as a team.

Thank you AK for turning us around and getting the basics sorted!

Win lose or draw we are are moving forward as a team.

Looking forward to your summer signings and getting some big lads in including my 6'5" centre half?

21 Apr 2018 12:39:11
Sticking with my 2-1 win prediction today. Wolves to clinch the title and Fulham and Millwall to go up because their players want it more!

Karanka will recruit these types for next season without breaking the bank.

15 Apr 2018 16:44:58
Championship status secured thanks to Birmingham who now need 3 wins and a 15 goal difference turnaround to pip us.
Under Warbo's open defence this would be squeaky bum time again but as Karanka has got our goals against down to one a game you can put your house on Championship football next year.

Barnsley match is a dead rubber so maybe we should make it Matt Mills testimonial for his contribution to our improvement at the back?
Looking forward to the summer clearout and some more diehard signings.
Gone fishing.

1.) 15 Apr 2018 18:36:12
Think Bruce Willis is a bit old to sign on red πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

2.) 16 Apr 2018 17:45:24
Give him a 4 year contract FF.

3.) 16 Apr 2018 17:46:46
Not just Birmingham, while mathematically possible, anyone who thinks that the 5 teams below us are all going to put together a run to overtake us needs their head examining.
It would, however, be nice for us to put a bit of a final push on to build up some confidence to go in to the closed season.
No doubt AK knows what he wants to do in the transfer window and I would imagine the owner will back him

4.) 16 Apr 2018 18:22:17
As long as we don't give tomlin a 4 year one,we are too near pork farms to sign him.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

5.) 17 Apr 2018 19:26:36
talking of contracts didn’t your man give a 3 year contract to a 34 year old that can’t get fit?as a manager tats a poor decision but financially (warbos old job was in that sector) it’s an even worse decision.maybe that’s why he’s now not a banker or a manager.

6.) 17 Apr 2018 19:34:55
IVe heard a few people call him a banker πŸ€”

02 Apr 2018 21:44:47
Great comments by Karanka on Ben Osborn. How refreshing to have a manager who recognises talent and is prepared to develop the player by playing him outside his comfort zone?

We have all criticised BO for his one dimensional play in midfield but playing him further back teaches him the bigger picture to develop his game. Has done the same with Danny Fox who can pick a pass and play the ball out.

We now have aproper man manager who his confident in his own ability to get results unlike the Fantasy Fawaz era where managers always played safe or opted for so called"stella"?

Our 2018/ 19 pre-season started after Preston so watch out Forest are Back!

Onward and Upward.

1.) 03 Apr 2018 11:19:52
Nice positive post rie, unlike that comment by blidred re cash

2.) 03 Apr 2018 13:23:05
Yes, would agree with that red, but with the caveat that there is still some rebuilding required. Most obviously we lack attacking options and that's goal scoring and creating. I fully expect AK to address that in the Summer, and our aim could be for a top 6 finish.

13 Feb 2018 20:54:13
In January 1975 Forest appointed a new manager for a team and club that was in a spiral of decline.

The team had the same points equivalent and matches played as we find ourselves today and with a patched up team we finished 16th on the equivalent of 50 points. It took us 2 seasons to get promotion.

In January 2018 we find ourselves with new owners, investment and new manager having had the most successful transfer window in recent memory.

History tells us to be patient and ignore the detractors who cannot cope with radical change!

We did OK promoting journeymen footballers to the first team then so what can possibly go wrong now?

Onward and Upward!

1.) 13 Feb 2018 21:21:37
Red really?
Sir Brian was different class to Karanka,No comparison
He'd already won the equivalent of the premier league and nearly conquered Europe.
Karanka has won promotion to the premier and then they got relegated.
That's clutching at straws mate

2.) 13 Feb 2018 21:29:14
And Ohare and McGovern were hardly journeyman they'd won the title for him at derby.
He didn't buy a team full overnight.
He waited till the summer got his best pal back then made a few signings.

3.) 13 Feb 2018 23:09:10
Bloomin eck FF You could wipe the smile from a childs face on Christmas Day.
Nice post Red. Very optimistic but still nice.

4.) 13 Feb 2018 23:54:52
FF79. Karanka has NOT bought a full team overnight he has simply strengthened his squad to get us through this season with little outlay or financial risk. He will review again in the summer when we will see more movement in and out as he shapes his squad. We have bought Lolley a good youngish player and brought experienced and combative midfielders (Guedioura and Watson) in on 2 and a half year deals. Kapino has signed for 18 months.

The rest are either on loan til the end of the season (Pantilimon, Figueiredo albeit with a view to a perm, Colback and Tomlin) and then Fuentes and Dejagah have signed short term deals to the end f the season. We may or may not look to extend any of these deals depending on whether they do the biz and we can afford them. So just the 4 permanent signings so far and the rest to have a look at. Hardly buying a whole team is it? Let’s give these players and the manager a chance eh? Something drastic needed changing with regards to the old guard. It’s going to take a bit of time to gel and get up to speed so some patience and perspective is needed imho.

5.) 14 Feb 2018 02:40:59
Bang on with that Ruddy.

6.) 14 Feb 2018 06:23:32
Great post ruddy

7.) 14 Feb 2018 10:03:36
With you both on that Red and Ruddy.
FF79 could turn milk sour from 50 paces.

8.) 14 Feb 2018 11:28:31
"Roses are Red,Violets are blue, come Saturday, Forest will score 2!!!"

9.) 14 Feb 2018 11:45:00
Would echo your comments Ruddy, good stuff and sensible.

10.) 14 Feb 2018 12:02:30
Thank you for cheering me up from the Grim Reaper 79 and his negativity which will no doubt predict Burton will score 3!!! against our "journeymen" signings

11.) 14 Feb 2018 12:32:09
No worries mate. as Del Boy days 'Eee Ooh Dares Rodders!!! Eee Ooh Dares!!!" 🚚🚚🚚 ( Couldn't find Del Boys van!! Lol)

12.) 14 Feb 2018 16:23:24
The grim reaper..... Doesn't he play for the Red Devil's?
Forest win 2-1

13.) 14 Feb 2018 19:52:46
Thing is tap it's better to have an opinion than not one at all.
This site wouldn't exist if we all agreed

Neal (Eddie Waring) Warnock rugby league up and under v Football.

Kenny Burns was right never at our club thank god!

Well played lads gritty performance reinforcements on the way!

1.) 21 Apr 2018 22:03:28
That's crapp red, they won,the pressure was on them,we had nothing to play for and they did the job.
When you have a squad of players and a limited budget you play to your strengths and that's what warn ock does.
Our play is powder puff and yes we might create but most of it is pointless.
Four out of eighteen now red

17 Apr 2018 18:20:44
I fancy us for a 2-1 win against Cardiff to put Mr Warnocks nose firmly out of joint!

A shuffle of the pack with Bridcutt in plus Fuentes at left back and Benny in the hole with Cash out wide.

Watson, Lolley and BenBro as usual.

4-3-3 That should give us some strength and pace.

1.) 17 Apr 2018 19:09:19
Mate it would take more than a win to put his nose out of joint!! Have you seen the size of it!!! πŸ‘ƒπŸ‘ƒπŸ‘ƒπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

2.) 17 Apr 2018 19:53:56
Hi boys. Just wondering if you could enlighten me regarding Kenny Burns obvious contempt for Neil Warnock. Dare I even say dislike !

3.) 17 Apr 2018 22:33:24
Warnock - proper legend and would have done wonders with us through these terrible years - alas that ship has sailed. A win would be nice and he can aim all of his guile at expertise straight at the Rams!

08 Apr 2018 11:19:15
The best 5-5 draw I never saw!

In reality having gifted 2 goals Forest should have won 5-3 had Vellios, Colback, Figueiredo, Brereton (twice) put away the sitters created Benbo and Lollypop before Offsongballonga fluffed his lines at the death. (We got away with daylight robbery selling him for Β£15m as his head is in the clouds having peaked with us! ) .

Patrick Bamford is developing into a class act up front and having him at 9 yesterday we would have won by a country mile.

Watson made Legbiter look like a pussycat and must be the captain steal of season?

For all our domination after 0-2 we have no cutting edge in the box and the likes of Lolley and Mc Kay must be given licence to go past the defender on one on one situations instead of checking back and playing it safe.

Time to send Dowell home ( thank you) and play one of our own for the rest of the season.

Fox showed why he is worth a new contract and if the strikers could control a ball, pass and be in the right place as well as him we would be in the top six!

Benbo with the help of Lollypop had Traore in his pocket and still had time to pop up all over the park.

No way Boro are going up and in Shotton they have worst number 5 in the League. Matt Mills take a bow!

Not very often you come away from a game having lost and thinking we are on the right track? The Boro fans certainly thought so and so did the Red and White Army who were magnificent in their support of the lads (even Bamford gave them a clap at the end) . Time to bring him home before Pulis ruins another striker?

Onwards and Upwards.

1.) 08 Apr 2018 12:49:38
Blimey red you really have got your Karanka blinkers on.
Facts are what we are dealing with, not could be's,you don't get points for them and Boro could have gone in at half time four up with better finishing.
Call Pullis and Boro all you like but they are up there and it was game over after the second goal,We aren't capable of coming back from a goal down.

2.) 08 Apr 2018 13:29:37
Totally agree redinexile!!! Best post of the weekend!!!

3.) 08 Apr 2018 17:53:14
We desperately need a striker. Brereton costs us points game after game after game and is nowhere near good enough. Cash is worth his place and maybe Worrall will be again. But Brereton? Sorry no at the moment just another product of our academy that will be playing at Basford Untied by 2020 on current showings.

4.) 08 Apr 2018 20:43:40
Whoever put the thumbs down on you 2star doesn't like the thought of us scoring or winning games

5.) 08 Apr 2018 21:35:56
Perhaps it’s Ben Brereton skegsπŸ˜‚!

02 Apr 2018 23:37:41
Olympiakos players have been fined 400,000 euros (Β£350,000) and ordered to go on holiday by the club president following poor results.

He said very few players in the current squad will be retained for the remainder of the season, with replacements to be called up from the under-20 team. (They are second 3 points behind with 4 to play)

Now at last we have both an owner and manager that do not accept failure and not giving ones best?

Onward and upward. COYR's.

1.) 03 Apr 2018 23:23:11
How can you class three wins out of fourteen games as success?
Or even close to it when the opposition's goal doesn't even get threatened.
Signing strikers will make no difference for next season,We would need a 20 goal plus one the way Karanka plays plus at least one midfielder to score ten and that won't happen playing two holding midfielders.
Watched Boro play wolves and they played same tactic and got what they deserved, nothing even against nine men,you have to have pace like Fulham to pull that tactic off in this league we lack pace all over the park.

30 Mar 2018 21:00:53
Ha ha ha h ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Aren't Snowmen Abominable?

Just when you think the Foremoaners have been put back in their box a nother one pop's back up?
I guess this will go with the territory for the rest of the season whilst AK sorts out the rest of who stays and goes before putting his promotion challenging squad together for next season.
Karanka is a proven winner and will get a great reception at the Riverside on Saturday.
Onward and Upward.

Football is politics in Greece so there will always be people trying to undermine a top politician who owns a football club!

The Chairman's statement is fair and reasoned so I would sooner have a successful global businessman who loves his sport than previous owners who were never really in it to win it?

AK can only pick from the fit squad he has available!
The team pattern has purpose and creates opportunities but unfortunately we do not have the quality in key positions.
However, we do have a team of grafters so are a very positive work in progress.
PS We have just equalized while posting!
