What a great piece of business for these guys from Portugal. Almost certain to get our money back if we do not go up this season. Why?

Grealish being hawked at £40m after one decent season. Bowen at Hull going to Everton for £12m.

Let the good times roll and some more smart deals.

1.) 22 Jun 2018 07:34:51
Whooaaa the only smart bit of business so far with the Portuguese lads is one on loan till end of season with options to buy and the other a 5 year contract we haven't seen these guys perform in the championship yet so many good youngsters change leagues and can't cope so come December let's hope they've hit the ground running then we can talk about money and what there worth

2.) 22 Jun 2018 09:57:28
Honest to god. For the last year or two people on here have been moaning that we haven't spent much money and getting old and used up players to join. So when we spend a little bit of money they are still moaning. I do feel sorry for the owner and manager to have these so called supporters keep bitching about these new players and the money spent. If these supporters think its so easy why don't they get off their arses and become a manger of a 2 time European champions football team.

3.) 22 Jun 2018 10:39:16
Bezman i understand what you are saying but don’t live in the Past. .yes we have a history but fast forward to the present and at best forest are an average CHAMPIONSHIP team.
Also fans have a right to moan if they wish as they have to pay for the privilege of seeing they their team play each week and it isn’t really fair to state they are so called supporters.
So in essence stop relishing past times and get behind the team and the rest of us SO CALLED FANS.

4.) 22 Jun 2018 10:45:43
Damned if they do, damned if they don't oh the joys of football lol

5.) 22 Jun 2018 11:08:28
Our history is important but I'm for the future and if that means spending money on players that us supporters don't know anything about then we need to support the manager and trust him it's his job to find these players. I'm sure that most supporters trust the manager and that's proven by 18000 season ticket holders with more to come.

6.) 22 Jun 2018 22:46:37
Hey guys you have all just been owned by Skegsjay who has reeled you in with his tongue in cheek response to the orginal post?

7.) 22 Jun 2018 22:46:26
bezman spot on mate, the way some are going on you would think they were meeting the wage bill personally,

20 Jun 2018 23:47:10
Very little serious transfer rumours until the player contracts expire on 30th June.

The bedroom bloggers and wannabe journo's plus our own Mr NEP Podcast are just making it up as they go along to fill the time.

So on the striker front let's forget about reuniting with past players, previous managers players / targets and unrealistic Premiership targets on big wages.

Soudani and Grabban are the best names in the frame unless AK pulls off a "younger Negredo" European striker deal.

Fry and Mc Doughnut should go whistle for their not so Posh forwards unless they take half the asking price and/ or some of our young fringe players as part of the deal?

1.) 20 Jun 2018 23:42:14
I think that's a very accurate assessment of the current state of play red.
Players are on their hols as well and while there's probably plenty of irons in the fire, like you say,not much will hapoen till 1st of July.

2.) 21 Jun 2018 03:43:07
Redinexile, why did the manager say something along the lines of him wanting the bulk of his transfers sorted by June the 25 th, so he has plenty of time with the majority of the players for them to get use to him and each other.

3.) 21 Jun 2018 08:30:17
It's ok saying you want the bulk of transfers doing by 25th June, not always that simple, cant see that happening now.

4.) 21 Jun 2018 09:14:47
Ff, just like it easy to say he wants about 10 new players, and a squad of of 24, one thing saying and another doing. He must however felt confident of doing so as that was what he said. He moved very fast in January so he is capable of doing it.

5.) 21 Jun 2018 10:14:04
It's the outgoings that might be causing problems as we can't keep signing players without addressing the balance?
Only put one question mark, don't want to be pulled up for an English lesson?????????😀😀😀

6.) 21 Jun 2018 11:01:39
We won't know much about outgoings as well until after June 30th. Lol Ff799, 2 separate statements require a semi-colon/colon between them not a comma which can separate phrases or clauses within a sentence. He he, only kidding, most grammar and punctuation is just a matter of choice anyway.

7.) 21 Jun 2018 11:15:08
Top marks for that Ff.

8.) 21 Jun 2018 12:37:00
Things will likely be happening behind the scenes, contact being made with clubs and agents but with many players on holiday and also often contracts may have certain clauses that kick in on July 1st too so some clubs and/or players won’t want to start real talks and deals until then (including us) I expect Karanka will be checking on potential availability of some players and getting ideas of fees needed and Forest staff will be looking at it but nothing will happen until July but I do expect us to move fairly quickly then.

19 Jun 2018 00:48:19
Its hotting up now. Gradel to Bournemoth for £1.75m which should now free up Grabban to come to Forest?

1.) 19 Jun 2018 06:10:46
That's if he want to come. Hope he does. Don't want Olivera or bambi.

2.) 19 Jun 2018 13:17:34
Gradel is already a Bournmouth player. Was on loan at Toulouse last season

16 Jun 2018 21:30:30
Antonio to Palace. Do we get a tickle if he moves. Knowing Fawaz probably not?

1.) 16 Jun 2018 22:01:27
You little trout red 🤣🤣

15 Jun 2018 15:01:21
Is Targett the Forest target for left back/ wing back?

Back with Saints after a loan season at Fulham who have only expressed interest in purchasing 3 of the 4 loan stars from last season.

He fits the bill being a very quick left sided 6 footer!

1.) 15 Jun 2018 18:15:05
Redinexile hope your right, good player, would be great signing.

2.) 15 Jun 2018 19:54:35
Well it's going to depend on whether Bertrand moves as McQueen is next up with a contract until 2021 and Targett contracted until 2022.
If Bertrand stays now he is out of the England squad then we have a cracking chance of landing one of them?

Rose is the left back who wants to move ( I think he is crap) but if he starts the merry go round then either Shaw or Bertrand are in the frame to move round. There are no left backs from the relegated clubs that will step up but they will be imports after the World Cup.

I think we will land one of them rather than a dwarf from Luton or ANO. Max Clark may land but we need 2 options at left back/wing back?

3.) 15 Jun 2018 20:37:24

4.) 15 Jun 2018 23:34:34
That's how to win the thumbs down skeggs😁😁

5.) 15 Jun 2018 23:56:15
Do I sense a bit of rivalry?

6.) 16 Jun 2018 00:35:59
Left sided with six feet! Let’s het him I’m.

7.) 16 Jun 2018 09:32:43
Lol FF 😂

Maybe we should be looking at that big agile Serbian Girly I mean Goalie?

18 Jun 2018 21:28:56
Sterling flatters to deceive again. Vardy on to play the ball over the top and running direct?

1.) 18 Jun 2018 21:32:57
Sterling is shocking.slows the play down runs into dead ends doesn’t take his man on gets te ball took off him to easy doesn’t read crosses.rashford did more when he cane on than Sterling.

2.) 18 Jun 2018 21:38:59
Tripeir mguire lindgard and the passenger young, don't even flatter, add Henderson to the equation and there lies the problem.
Long ball to vardy??
Yep that'll win the world cup.😂😂

3.) 18 Jun 2018 21:47:31
Pep don't think so and got 20 goals out of him as well.
I'd trust him against an ex Boro manager.

4.) 18 Jun 2018 21:56:19
Nothing wrong with Henderson imo. He’s there to break play up and keep possession and that’s exactly what he does.
Sterling was useless and lingard well those chance he had dear oh dear what a hash he made. Tripper’s crossing was awful. Maguire didn’t do too badly thought he brought the ball out well and won headers but that was about it.

5.) 18 Jun 2018 22:00:33
Even Cummings would score goals at Man City when they get put on a plate for you.evey one else does the work at city for Sterling.sterling is crap for England because he’s an average player playing in an average team.he hasn’t got the balls to take it on whereas rashford is fearless.
Look how many times Sterling loses the ball at city and for England.

6.) 18 Jun 2018 22:14:02
My word so sterling is still in the squad? I remember a few years ago watching a tournament and vowing not to watch one again if sterling and I think it was Welbeck were the best we have to offer ! Dreadful players and stunned either are anywhere near the team.

7.) 18 Jun 2018 22:32:57
It's not the players always it's how the manager wants them to play.
To me that England side has too many players who play out of position and a lack of creativity.
Never rated linguard,Ali is playing too deep and sterling is too wide, far more effective in the free role and dier is better than henderson?trippier crosses the ball from deep areas and rose should be in all day long before young.
Kane a scoring machine,Just needs the service.
Down to management and that's why there's no talk of us doing well,Southgate just isn't rated .

8.) 18 Jun 2018 22:41:41
Turn it off 2 star, they are both still there.
A vows a vow.😁😁😁

9.) 18 Jun 2018 22:55:05
Thought Maguire did well apart from 1 mistake. Always a threat from set pieces and bought the ball out well. Take him over Stones any day. Agree about Lingard though. Think we might regret not taking a midfielder that can pick a pass and a natural out and out winger. But come on lads we won an opening world cup game for once so let's just enjoy that tonight.

10.) 19 Jun 2018 00:38:56
2 far that’s enough from you then 🤔 sshhh

11.) 19 Jun 2018 06:31:23
ive seen county play better, england are an embarresment. any decent team will rip them apart. like watching laurel and hardy same useless players still there stirling.ali.maguire. wish southgate would hide is face

12.) 19 Jun 2018 07:08:52
I haven’t watched an England game for years and don’t intend to either.

13.) 19 Jun 2018 10:12:49
It's the first game which is always nervy and we won for goodness sake, look at some of the bigger teams who have lost or only managed draws when they were expected to win.

How on earth you can say England are an embarrassment after that game I have no clue, some people just want to pick holes and bring them down. Once they got their pen they just wanted to play for a draw, next to no threat on our goal.

Thought Kane should have definitely had a pen for the first rugby tackle.

14.) 19 Jun 2018 21:54:58
Makes me laugh all this negativity about England. germany were garbage, Argentina were garbage, France were garbage, Uruguay as well. why is it when we win we get slagged for not playing like a Brazil ‘70 team. when all these other teams struggle to a win they’ve “found a way”. sick and tired of our national team being slagged it’s like some sort of football snobbery. we seem in awe of any foreign players, I know 1 thing, I bet Germany wish they had Kane.

15.) 19 Jun 2018 23:22:59
Kane is a top player stevie.

16 Jun 2018 21:34:23
Brondby are not happy with how Palace have cocked off twice trying to buy Ronnow.

Time to revisit this opportunity?

1.) 16 Jun 2018 21:54:21
He does not want Championship football so we will be
wasting our time.

2.) 16 Jun 2018 22:18:00
Money talks

3.) 16 Jun 2018 22:23:04
Ff, like it talked when Warburton went after him.

4.) 16 Jun 2018 22:28:27
Just didn't offer him enough bread???🤣🤣

5.) 16 Jun 2018 23:05:24
Must have had a "cob" on !!😂

6.) 16 Jun 2018 23:40:43
Better respected manager at forest now which could sway the deal.

7.) 16 Jun 2018 23:46:01
He should have toasted it and added jam and butter

8.) 17 Jun 2018 00:03:14
It ain't the manager whoes got the doh?
Anyway bedtime ,so I'm going to do ron now 😂

9.) 17 Jun 2018 00:05:20
thought he'd already joined a german team?

10.) 17 Jun 2018 11:08:37
We never actually agreed a fee with his club so never got to talk terms with Ronnow.
He is not going to get a top 6 gig and Palace et al are all potential relegation fodder.
So let's show him the love from a team on the up?

07 Jun 2018 10:44:09
Cannot believe some are punting Defoe as a striker option. He has been bench warming at Bournemouth and his salary demands would be stupid. He will off to the MSL for the beach and a final big pay check.
We do not want Rhodes either, another Scottish waste of space past his sell by date?

1.) 07 Jun 2018 12:27:12
I'd love Defoe at forest for a season before he packs his bags for the MLS. His goal scoring record speaks for itself at the highest level. He'd guarantee you 25 goals at Championship level. How can you turn your nose up at that?

2.) 07 Jun 2018 12:43:44
All this speculation's doing my head in!!! Another frothy one me thinks!!! 🍻🍻🍻😂😂😂

3.) 07 Jun 2018 13:16:05

5.) 07 Jun 2018 14:32:02
Have a lip on me now!! Cold beer on the cards after work🍺🍺 and take a break from looking for fresh Forest news.Enjoy the beers😎

6.) 07 Jun 2018 15:40:59
You too mate!!! Think we've all earned it!!

7.) 07 Jun 2018 16:45:46
Mine's a Guinness. Slainte!

8.) 07 Jun 2018 18:55:26

9.) 07 Jun 2018 19:26:12

10.) 07 Jun 2018 19:57:41

11.) 08 Jun 2018 10:23:01
Never knew that!!! 😭😭😭

30 May 2018 22:28:38

Forest announce the purchase of the vacant site on Pavilion Road and Radcliife Road to build England's largest Humble Pie Shop.

All proceeds from those fans engaging mouth before brains will fund AK's shopping list.

I cannot believe this forum's obsession with not wanting any signing over 28 and raffling off any of our players under 25! Why? Experience! ?

Great teams are built on mixing the right blend irrespective of age. So, to all fans that want their pie and eat it just let the Head Chef buy ALL his ingredients to make his recipe before getting your knives out.

Methinks AK's revenge on you all will be a dish best served cold and you will all get your just desserts come next May!

Onwards and Upwards

1.) 30 May 2018 22:44:56
I remember when BC signed a certain Larry Lloyd who was considered a has been and we had the best 3 years of his career and look what we achieved. I'm not suggesting we will repeat that but the challenge may give Dawson a new lease of life and provide the backbone of our defence as we try to put together a push for promotion.

2.) 30 May 2018 23:12:05
To me it's just about being good enough whatever age. On this subject at what age does a young player stop being young? How long do you keep saying yes but he's young and will improve with experience. Is Osborn still young? Ollie Burke 13 million good money?
What age do you become to old? 30,31,32,33,34,35 ? Does the position you play make a difference?

3.) 30 May 2018 23:43:00
i think its a great signing, we need leaders and that exactly what dawson is, only question for me is will he be captain?

4.) 31 May 2018 06:46:36
Perks, for me when a player becomes 25 you stop calling him young, as for calling a player old that boils down to how well they look after their body and how much they enjoy playing, if they are just going through the motions and not looking after their body then at 28 they will come across as old, but if they look after their body and are still enjoying their football then 33 is getting old. Some can go on to be quality to nearly 40, but that is rare but 33 is getting old.

5.) 31 May 2018 07:35:20
Larry was a younger has been.
More out of favour than old when we signed him.
He was only 28 when he signed and gave us five years,so the comparison isn't there with Dawson.
Perks you are right, providing they can stay fit,if he stays fit a good signing and bound to be fitter than Hobbs who he's replacing.

6.) 31 May 2018 09:06:59
Ff799 Larry was younger mate but had a reputation for having a bad attitude, and Coventry couldn’t get rid fast enough,Dawson totally different,Hull were very keen to keep him,if we get 2 years out of him it will be a good deal, and great for worrall couldn’t have a better role model

7.) 31 May 2018 09:39:59
Agree Daws has a good fitness record and is the player Hobbs should have been. I hope there is nothing in the water at Hull or in Brucey's training methods that will come back and bite us?

Many Rangers fans pointed out McKay's faults which have been spot on in his time with us. He is undoubtedly gifted but does not seem to have the desire to be a top player week in week out. No point in hanging on to him if he cannot step up to the plate?

Colback £40k per week free transfer
Clayton £25k per week and £3m fee with 3 years on his contract
I know who I'd sooner have to enable us to buy another player for next season?

He is a Clement type of player but Reading do not have the players to allow him to have a free role. He is not cut out for the Championship season so it makes no difference as to where he goes as he has been rumbled?

It will get sorted after 30th June when Max Clarks contract expires and he agrees terms with Forest. Forest are not going to agree a fee to sell Eric without agreeing the compo payment for Clark which at tribunal will be around £400k not a £1m.
Both deals will get done for undisclosed fees for the same amount which represents a great piece of business for Forest upgrading for a younger left sided player on probably lower wages?
