Ansarifard could well get the nod v Villa because he was instrumental in the Hull win but don't spoil it with the silly dives Karim, you are in the mens league now. Hope you get the nod instead of dead legs. U REDS.

Retford Red

1.) 13 Mar 2019 09:21:39
He has to start instead of Murphy. Murphy simply doesn't have the goals in him to give us the promotion push we need, Ansarifard hasn't been given his chance yet.

2.) 14 Mar 2019 21:42:06
Well now he has and he just lost it almost bordering on a red card. We looked better in the last few minutes when Murphy was on!

09 Mar 2019 21:08:23
Probably the best debut I can remember at the City Ground, Pele was superb. Not Osborns biggest fan especially at full back but today he had his best game for a long time, so well done in marking Bowen so well. Made a case last week for Bonatini and Ansarifard to be given a chance so pleased to see MON put some legs up front instead of Murphy who is little more than a passenger who never scores and way past it now. Chuffed for Carvalho who came in from the cold in style to show some class, scoring a screamer and making the penalty. And whos the new goalkeeper, looks a lot like Pants but much better. All in all we are still in with a shout and Villa is vital but do able so go for it MON and U REDS.

Retford Red

1.) 10 Mar 2019 04:27:40
Pants is a totally different keeper now there’s not shots an crosses coming in all the time these 2 centre backs have been amazing for us, didn’t we get Milosevic on a free? If so got to be the best signing in January out of whole league an maybe prem

2.) 10 Mar 2019 21:24:58
We need to keep the DOF he's come up with a few gems already

18 Dec 2018 22:01:50
Well done u reds. Even with my red tinted specs I thought we deserved three points. didn't realise Lucy Lampard was a belly aching little lamb. he ought to have been thanking the ref for not reducing the sheep to nine instead of the crowing. AK must sign Jack Colback for next season, he is a gem. Also Janko as every chance of making the right back spot his own if given a fair crack despite Darikwas improvement. U REDS.

Told something on Saturday at the Preston game that I would love to be true. The people who sit next to me in the Trent End had been told Forest would be making an announcement in May that plans for a new main stand would be made public. The plan is to construct the shell of the new stand around the old one to get maximum use before it is demolished and the inner construction starts. Sounds a bit futuristic but Marinakis is just the man to go for such a plan. We can but dream. If it did happen we would have a super stadium to be proud of and a greatly increased capacity. U REDS.

1.) 14 Dec 2018 06:37:48
I think that all depends on what league were playing in next season.

2.) 14 Dec 2018 08:39:27
Final stages of planning to sort. irrespective of league. long term vision.

3.) 14 Dec 2018 08:54:28
I was told a similar thing by someone that works at the club a few months ago, didn't know whether to believe it or not but seems like its actually happening regardless of the league we are in.

4.) 14 Dec 2018 13:12:41
As long as we stay at our iconic stadium i am all for it. Is their a better sight in football when walking over trent brudge when the ground comes into view????

5.) 14 Dec 2018 18:55:57
Not sure about the stadium being iconic but the location certainly is. If this happens they will need to do some land / highway deals to improve safe access to the ground and enlarge the back of house areas to the other stands if we stay.

The proposed new bridge crossing at Holme Pierrepont could free up the road traffic around the ground.

Onward & Upward

6.) 15 Dec 2018 20:45:28
Red you should try rush hour anywhere around Notts, built loads of roads still gridlocked,M1,A 50 junc 24 A the pathway to Nottingham, still a joke and cost millions, there's knowhere with easy access to and from Notts if we were to build a new ground,Clifton the only option, but always has accidents and the airport

11 Nov 2018 20:04:56
Despite the disappointment of not seeing Yacob keep his place I muust compliment our back four for again putting in a top drawer show v Stoke. We at long last seem to have a back line that is essential to any success in this league after years of been a soft touch, especially from set pieces. While on the subject of our defence, I have never been impressed by Darikwa, until yesterday, so please keep proving me wrong because the lad was superb. One final pat on the back, to my fellow fans at the City Ground, the twelth man was back and it sounded great. U REDS.

I agree about darikwa. Thought he was improving game on game. Dawson is getting their too.

Unlike a few Forest fans on here I am sorry to see Notts go out of the league. Living in north Notts I have never experienced the anti Forest view that someone described so I also understand that viewpoint. But while they are gone I will remain proud to follow the new oldest pro club in the world as I am made aware Stoke City were not formed until 1868 by historians. don't worry Notts that title is in good hands. U REDS.

1.) 04 May 2019 23:25:47
Sorry mate but when we went down to league 1 there fans were laughing there heads off so no don't feel sorry for them at all in fact good riddance but i'm more interested in the sheep tomorrow I'd like them to think there making the play offs so drawing at 90 minutes Middlesbrough losing 1 nil with 5 mins of extra time where they score 2 goals to win in last minute to go above sheep that is what you call happy 😁😁😁😁

2.) 05 May 2019 09:04:56
Skegness absolutely mate most notts fans I know p*** theirselves went we hit a bad patch, I don’t take great pleasure in them going down I couldn’t really give a toss, might keep their bitterness subdued for a bit though

3.) 05 May 2019 11:45:20
Very sad Skegs if that's all you have to laugh at?

Posted a couple of times since MON came in that u don't need three defensive mids when u have Colback and Yacob who are both quality freeing up that third spot to a playmaker. Having said that our stuck on player of the season imo, Colback I fear as played is last game for us. With him been one of only four or five players who I think can take us forward it is a crying shame but that quality comes at a price, so thanks and good luck Jack. Just wish MON would buy into a more positive midfield formation, and forget about playing an old timer up front who scores about a goal every twenty games. It could even save your job at FOREST Martin. That and playing players in their best positions would have a positive effect I am convinced. Three games left, got to be worth a go. U REDS.

i Won’t be there today as I’m still away on my hols,
don’t think I’ll be missing much with the present form we’ve been showing and Middlesbrough need the points to secure the play-off spot, the satisfaction is that it keeps Derby out of it, just hope we aren’t embarrassed,

20 Apr 2019 14:10:09
Smithy asks us to name 5 players we would retain next season. Sorry pal, struggling even to name so few but would say Lolley, Colback and Yacob. Might have said Grabbon and Robinson but not even sure of those two now. We need to get rid of a huge amount of players and then MON could bring in another half dozen defensive midfielders with zero creativity to take us forward. The joys of following Forest. U REDS.

Retford Red

1.) 20 Apr 2019 14:52:22
Lolley, Colback, Yacob, Grabban, Robinson, Carvalho and Figs. Maybe Milosavic (seems like a good centreback) and Darikwa (good backup + hardly gets injured).

I reckon these players are good enough for the right end of the table.

2.) 20 Apr 2019 14:54:42
Just before August there would of been quite a fell but all of a sudden after a managerial change there not good enough.lolgrabban had had his main supply taken away by a manager who does like playmakers.oneill would put Messi in the reserves because he’s too small and too creative
The same oneill who when at villa said Ashley young was on par with Messi.lol

3.) 20 Apr 2019 15:37:43
Lol Sutton put your hanky away mate he's gone and good riddance krankie gump 😁

4.) 20 Apr 2019 16:48:58

As we say over here Skeggsy. "go on ya boy Yee!!!"
🍻🍻🍻😉😉😉

8.) 20 Apr 2019 19:32:22
That’s all you can do to try and wipe the second half of the season out of your minds get wrecked, fact is is it will still be there in the morning but you will have even more of a headache trying to work out what the hell oneill is doing or offering.
I didn’t mean August I meant December.

9.) 20 Apr 2019 19:33:07
With you on that Sutton.Carvalho/Grabban combo was starting to click pre xmas.

10.) 20 Apr 2019 20:58:11

07 Apr 2019 20:34:48
If Osborn instead of Robinson and filling the midfield with out and out defensive players is MONs vision of progress, then we are in big trouble. We had a warning from Villa fans about his dire tactics a selections and I like a lot of other fans did not really want to believe it. We fluked it against Swansea and mighty Rotherham have just done us a week after the sheep put six past them. let's stop pretending Reds we are not good enough. I like MON as a person but I think is heading the same way as my hero, Psycho. What about Danny Cowley in from Lincoln, give him Lolley, Colback, probably Grabban and Robinson and bring in the rest himself because this lot will never get us up and its time for a mega clearout asap. U REDS.

1.) 07 Apr 2019 21:06:37
Good shout Retford!👍🏻

2.) 07 Apr 2019 21:23:48
Funny that Redford, your blaming the tactics and then saying he's got nothing to work with anyway.😁😁

3.) 07 Apr 2019 22:51:41
I’m disappointed that we’re not doing any better than were under Karanka, the football is worse and the style has totally ostracised the record signing - I think we all feel the same .
That said I’m absolutely gutted that we are trying to set the Hares racing again . Face it AK left because he realised how bad a state we are in. There is no queue of folk waiting for this job jokanovic didn’t want it, not many will . We need to back these guys - talk of another change already - FFS we won’t ha e a club If this carries on.

4.) 08 Apr 2019 00:11:56
Ak left because he's a mardy Spaniard who can't understand he works for someone who paid him handsomely and just wanted his own way at any cost.
He'd done the same at Boro so no supprise to me.

5.) 08 Apr 2019 06:32:40
Krankie left on his own accord.
And we will never know if could of got forest up?
He's gone so stop dwelling on the past.

31 Mar 2019 12:49:18
How we won yesterday is a minor miracle, Swansea so much better than us but to get the run around for over eighty minutes and win is a huge bonus. Three defensive midfielders in front of our back four and no creative playmaker is the reason we get spanked imo. Colback and Yacob would be my ideal pairing and the other midfield spot given to someone like Carvalho who wants to go forward and make us a threat from open play, not just hoping for a set piece goal, although welcomed is not going to get us in the play offs. Finally how did Murphy get MOM and not Joe Lolley, come on get real. U REDS.

Worral's having a mare in the Old Firm.
Sell him on.

2.) 31 Mar 2019 14:31:54
Rogie he escorted the Celtic player 30 yards into the rangers box and allowed him a free shot no attempt to close him down at last min appalling defending,

Tomorrow, I would be tempted to go 4411 with Smith, Lichaj, Worrall, Fox, Pinnilos, Pereira, Mancienne, Cohen, Traore, Clough, Brereton. Subs McCormack, Osbourne, Cash, Caryol, Assambalonga, Mills, Evtimov. Pereira and Traore both named as fullbacks but I think both are good at getting forward but still have that defensive side when needed. Gboly Ariyibi would be my wild card pick as what I have seen of him he looks very good. And it could be Vaughan instead of either Cash or Caryol if you need to go for a stronger defensive squad.

If Forest loose at Brum I think Jack Lester will be put in charge as caretaker. I think he would do a good job and even land it full time. Would make sense as the queue for new manager won't be very long I fear. He knows and values the youngsters and would provide the team with shape and motivation.

Really good post Carlo. Getting back to the all important basics really and getting our club performing well again after twenty years in the wilderness. The club thanks to our Greek friend is in the best shape it as been for years and if MON can provide the final piece in the jigsaw it would be absolutley fantastic for all of our supporters to finally see it come good. The final sentence , last chance for some of us oldies made me think that could include me to, sixty years a fan this year. Started with Jack Burkitt lifting the FA cup in 1959 and to get back in the top flight after such a long absence would be amazing.

So in Warburton you trust. Why don't I believe you. He is not fit to lace Dougie Freedmans bootlaces. The man who had no money to spend, could only bring in frees or loans but still kept us up. This man who you trust as already spent millions on players who are not up to it, fact.

Another Forest fan told me he had seen a report saying Villa had him on £52,000 a week. Even if we are only paying half of that it seems crazy to have him as a bench warmer with his record.
