Chad Evens may be on the cards apparently, not sure if the rumour has any substance but I suppose he would be a free signing. Do I care about his rape charge again not sure.

Was a good player at one point.

SMILE_NFFC

1.) 16 Dec 2014 15:23:04
If he had the rape thing overturned then I would take him on a free aswell until then no thanks plus he has never proved his self at this level

2.) Not worth the controversy by any means. Even if he was a proven 20 goal Champo striker, I'd be against it, but he isn't. If we're that desperate for a striker then play Veldwijk or Kyle Walker.

3.) I'd also love to have Kyle walker battling for our first team!!
My season ticket wouldn't get used again this season if ched Evans came anywhere near our club.
Wouldn't happen though, SP is a man of principles

4.) Amazed it's taken so long to link Ched Evans with his old Manager at Man City?
Like all the other City player links. it ain't happening!

5.) Right o, wait till marlon king gets out will we be in for him, it would be like the team from the film MEAN MACHINE full of cons

The Guardian is reporting -

Nottingham Forest, Burnley and Southampton are all keeping tabs on young midfielder Che Adams from Ilkeston FC in the Evo-Stick Northern Premier league.

From Bird site - Jamie Paterson could join either Walsall or Leyton Orient on loan in the next few days

SMILE_NFFC

1.) Sack Pearce if that's the case. Can't see it though

2.) Say this were true, then we don't go into the loan market for some creativity, then Antonios back gives way from carrying the team, what then?

3.) I expect Patterson will go out on loan for a month so he can get some game time, SP feels he still needs to work on his game as gives the ball away too much. Expect will have a recall clause Cjay to cover this, though don't think Patterson would play wide, more likely recall McLaughlin to cover this event if happened.

4.) Cant help but chuckle at the thought of SP being unhappy at Paterson giving the ball away too much, when the majority of Forest's play since he took over has been rather hoofball.

Maybe he should send the whole first team out on loan to learn how to keep possession? Send them down the A52, 'cus they seem to keep it quite well. Plus bus fare wouldn't be too much, so Fawaz wouldn't have to worry about FFP.

5.) Pato going on loan started with a twitter account that is known for his bullpoo. I wouldn't trust him.

But i can see Pato going out on loan IF we are getting someone better in on loan.

6.) Not just your eye that's wonky then?

7.) We could use Mackie's services more than Walsall or L. Orient. He is a tireless worker, causes things to happen, and gives problems to defences that strikers can exploit. Big mistake to loan him to anyone. Recall him from Reading!

8.) 22 Oct 2014 20:42:48
Patto doesn't need to go to a lower league team on loan. He has already proved himself at this level. How many goals did he score last season? What he needs is his manager to have as much confidence in him as most fans have.

9.) So villa winger in, forest winger Pato out.

10.) 23 Oct 2014 13:26:35
On Saturday Paterson made it to the bench, but no further. We were looking for a winning goal and we got Fryatt brought on at 90 mins. Not fair to Fryatt and Paterson must have been spitting. Pearce should put the teams requirements first not nurture whatever dislike he has of Paterson, who just might have made the difference.

11.) Insanity - Do the same things over and over again and expect different results.

It is clear for some weeks that there is not enough creativity in the team. Bring back Pato now and swallow your pride SP.

You keep playing the same team, there is no depth and very one dimensional. Put pressure on Burke and relieve pressure on Antonio

Apparently JL going to stay and see where we are in Jan.

I hope so would hate to see the best outfield player to come through the ranks for ages go after a very good first season in the first team

Leeds United defender Lee Peltier not on Bolton Wanderers' radar -

Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers are vying for the former Liverpool starlet, who looks set to quit Elland Road after a fall-out with the club earlier in the year.

from the local Bolton paper

SMILE_NFFC

1.) Surely we are a better prospect than Blackburn, he will have already had the chance to make a few friends here too so hopefully he will sign

2.) Blackburn are well equipped for a top six, probably more so than us at the moment so I see no reason why he wouldn't want a Blackburn move. Your right in he will have already had his feet under the table here so heres hoping.

3.) I hope we do pull this one off, he seems a very solid and committed player from his performances at the end of the season.

4.) I have to agree he looks a solid player and will do well under SP and he is his kind of player. The one game he played in defence he looked solid and committed I would like to see him back and play in his natural role at right back

Not a rumour but thought I would share with fellow fans. just bumped in to the left footed magician Reid in town, I asked him about the new signings, he said Matty Fryatt has looked really Sharpe in training and will score a lot of goals for us, he was the player we missed last season, but currently has a small knock at the mo.

He said Lars looks good in training, great touch and pretty quick, but it will take him time to adjust to the pace of the Championship. He has also been impressed with Laing. great lad & a joker in the dressing room.

Can't wait for Blackpool!

COYR

SMILE_NFFC

1.) For Matty Fryatt to score goals he has first got to be in the team, not even in the squad last night, going to be really difficult to score from where ever he was.

2.) 24 Jul 2014 16:26:10
Did you read the first post?

3.) If Fryatt can score with out being in the squad, He has to be the 20plus a season striker we are looking for

Pre season game - Nottingham Forest vs York City @ Bootham Crescent on Wednesday, July 30 (7. 30pm)

SMILE_NFFC

1.) These pre season friendly aren't looking good to be hones, t York FC and Ilkeston FC. Really? that's all we can get?

2.) Gutted! I live in York and don't get a chance to get to many games, on my hols on that day.

3.) I don't see why people are worrying who we are playing pre season there's always some easy games for confidence boosting and besides let's face it pre season games don't really mean anything as it's all about experimenting with your squad so either team can win! We could play Barcelona and it'd still be no different in terms of value as both teams have new managers so May experiment to find what's best! Barca experiment could go awfully wrong and we win and then when we play York we could get it completely wrong and get battered! At the end of the day as long as we are sorted and ready for next season I'm not bothered of pre season results or games, lose them all if we end up winning the league!

{Ed034's Note - they mean more than you think. It can give you confidence when going into the opening fixtures and help start your season off on the right note

4.) Braga confirmed

5.) Maybe playing some of these lower side could be a ploy to have a look at a young player or 2 aswell as get some fitness into the players legs? No one will be moaning if we pick up a pato from 1 of these teams for the sake of a training sesion

6.) I'm really happy with the Braga one, going to have a nice trip there

7.) I am hoping SP has the same mentality as BC. You go out to win every match friendly or otherwise.

I have heard the same thing apparently Sunderland & West Brom are interested. Source - Mate from football that lives in the River Crescent flats (Where quite a few of the Forest players live).

I say hold on to him if we can as we won't be buying players for a while

I don't think this will happen. I recon all our young stars will give one more season. They need regular games to improve and will get that here. no need for a left back got 2 left backs already. main bit of business will be a def mid and striker

Yeah it was a long conversation in the pub …. some for him & some against very much like on here.

I do think BD broke Cox and with a good pre season under his belt with SP. He could be a valued member of the team next season

Got to say he never had a real run in the team apart from pre season and then the back end of last. When he did play he came on as sub and played more in midfield rather than on the last man. Not saying there are not better strikers out there, but he did prove he knows where the back of the net is and looked like he wanted to play for us.

It would be good to have him back. do you know this or are you putting 2 and 2 together as Carlton have just released him, after announcing their restructure?
