Apparently we've offered Hernandez a deal?

1.) 20 Jul 2019 16:33:35
Not on the sort of money suggested i would not have thought. Good luck to him if he does join us.

2.) 20 Jul 2019 16:49:52
Hope not, too injury prone.

3.) 20 Jul 2019 17:10:12
Burncross, Yet people wanted Byram, you can not get much more injury prone then him.

If Hernandez does join us, his contract needs to take into account his injury record by getting less actual wages but bigger bonuses based on appearances, and goals.

4.) 20 Jul 2019 21:34:05
If have a punt on him!

5.) 21 Jul 2019 13:31:38
Id take him on a free on 1 or 2 year deal. Still only 28 and a great scoring record in championship.

10 Jul 2019 20:22:58
Younousse Sankhare? Midfielder, apparently.

1.) 10 Jul 2019 20:37:54
Is he from liverpool? 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

2.) 10 Jul 2019 20:48:03
With Hare in his name he must be pretty quick. 😁.

3.) 10 Jul 2019 20:53:01
Another midfielder.

4.) 10 Jul 2019 20:55:37
He sounds like a weird trapper who lost it. 😫😫.

5.) 10 Jul 2019 21:53:30
Talking of hares, John o'hare was the most overweight footballer I've seen as a striker, but a magnificent brain and touch.

6.) 11 Jul 2019 15:39:57
He has a pub in Ockbrook if you fancy telling him so Ff.

7.) 11 Jul 2019 22:13:58
Thanks for that gazza right on my doorstep didn't realise, which one by the way.

23 Jun 2019 21:30:05
Now that Roy has gone, could it be an opportunity for Chris Cohen to assist MON?

1.) 24 Jun 2019 11:34:17
It's too early for Chris. Only one season with u23 so maybe a season or two more would benefit.

2.) 24 Jun 2019 13:39:32
Good point SG, how much experience did lampard or gerrard have?

3.) 24 Jun 2019 19:53:29
Gazzibaldi I would agree if we were talking about him as a manager. I personally think that he'd be perfect as a link between MON and the players.

22 May 2019 21:36:05
Soudani should be available for pre-season.

1.) 22 May 2019 21:57:38
And that will be it for another season lol

2.) 23 May 2019 06:28:42
Get rid. injury prone.

3.) 23 May 2019 08:46:13
One bad injury doesn't make someone injury prone, anyone can get an injury he could make a full recovery

4.) 23 May 2019 10:10:46
Hes useless in all the games I've seen him in,get rid.

5.) 23 May 2019 15:21:45
Agreed FF. More like Houdini than Soudani get rid.

6.) 23 May 2019 16:17:41
I see Basil and Victor have reffered to type? Soudani is a goal poacher who will come good when fully fit

7.) 23 May 2019 17:26:28
I'd like to see him given a go.

8.) 23 May 2019 19:58:10
I thought he looked quite lively, needs a run to really see what he's like, hopefully he will be fully fit for this season.

9.) 24 May 2019 22:04:32
Might aswell be an egg poacher red.
Poor player and old.
Get rid he's a another last minute pensioner, getsyou nowhere,

10.) 25 May 2019 17:43:43
Same age Grabban and younger than Vardy so I'll take a good old un up top over a raw young un anyday!

11.) 26 May 2019 20:52:33
Whatever lights your candle red,
You enjoy a good old one up top.
You should try something different.😁😁😁

17 May 2019 21:59:05
Peterborough and Olympiacos are rumoured to be among pre-season friendlies. Atromitos also.

1.) 17 May 2019 22:38:44
Astromitos also?
Is that Greek for not being impressed? 😁

20 Jul 2019 15:25:20
So. was Silva polished last night?

1.) 20 Jul 2019 16:15:44
More performances like that and he will be a Golden Boy.

2.) 20 Jul 2019 16:54:35
Question is do we still need Carvalho?

3.) 20 Jul 2019 17:05:11
Bsered, after paying £13m for Carvalho we may aswell hold on to him.

Once be gets back to fitness hopefully he will compliment the new players and vice versa.

Although Carvalho is not necessarily a player that fights to get the ball back very much he will now have players around him to do that for him, he can then feed the players in front of him.

Once he and the other players form a understanding he and the team could light up the league, if we can not be optimistic before the season starts when can we.

4.) 20 Jul 2019 18:09:42
Why would we get rid of one of our best players. Imagine Carvs and Silva linking up. Bsered you say you want to keep Osborn but consider selling Carvs?

5.) 20 Jul 2019 18:22:59
Carvs and Silva linking up? Teams would run straight through us.

6.) 20 Jul 2019 18:46:26
What is your reasoning behind that Stevie f.

7.) 20 Jul 2019 19:18:40
Silva one good performance from 2 games carvahallo a few good games from a season and all of a sudden we have Ronaldo and Messi in the team lol let's just wait and see by far the best player and consistent every game is lolley better than both put together by far 😁.

8.) 20 Jul 2019 20:02:55
Lc I believe the combination is too lightweight for the hurly burly of a championship game that’s all.

9.) 20 Jul 2019 20:37:54
Stevie f, that is fair enough, but with Silva being a tough tackler and skilled he would not be too lightweight.

Skegs i agree Lolley is better than both but that is partly down to his experience of the Championship.

No one is saying that Carvalho and Silva are world beaters, just tht their skill and passing ability is good enough for them to come good with a bit more experience if their attitude is right.

Only time will tell, and i can not see into the future, how about yourself. Untill the season starts and they start playing against Championship teams i just want to hope for the best for them.

10.) 20 Jul 2019 20:42:13
Sell Carvalho to Olympiacos and get a good striker. Best chance we've got.

11.) 20 Jul 2019 20:49:10
Lc. I hope you’re right, I would like to see them succeed like everyone else, this championship is a hard school, it grinds plenty down.

12.) 20 Jul 2019 20:54:13
Bsered, How much do you realistically expect we would get for Carvalho at this point in his Forest career, off course he is out injured so he would need to get fit first.

13.) 20 Jul 2019 21:02:52
So who then, shall provide the striker?

14.) 20 Jul 2019 21:34:54
My biggest fear is we spend some money on a decent striker and then on the last day of deadline we sell lolley to pay for him.

15.) 20 Jul 2019 22:35:09
Our neighbours across the trent really are in dire straites, staff not been paid since june hardy has a lot to answer for i'm surprised he didn't ask forest for a preseason friendly however he burnt his bridges when he was laughing at us during the fawaz debacle now its come back to haunt him.

16.) 20 Jul 2019 23:50:21
Skegs Never fear trust in Dourekas he is the architect of promotion charge! 👀 😰 🤣.

17.) 21 Jul 2019 00:23:31
Guarantee when Carvs is not injured him and silva will be in the midfield.

18.) 21 Jul 2019 08:15:47
Skegg, have to agree . I’m all for being optimistic and positive but one good game in a friendly means naff all/ how many times has that happened only for to not work out.

Ref carvalho: I’m not sure where his hero status comes from, he did absolutely nothing to justify that last season and some games was totally inept and out of his depth. If he had a different name on his shirt delivering some of the performances he delivered, he’d be subject to some significant criticism . He’s got potential for sure but he seems to get an easy ride from fans . I’d be surprised to see him and Tiago in the starting 11, to me Tiago looks more like the ‘championship’ Ready replacement for carvalho. Based on last season Carvalho lacks the tenacity for the championship and I’d lose little sleep if he went . I’m sadder that Osborn is going to be honest .

19.) 21 Jul 2019 09:10:02
2star, IF you remember i was a critic of Carvalho last season, not for his lack of ability but purely based on how expensive he was for a club like Forest that he needed him to be more of the finished article than he was.

I would suggest if a English player had the skills, and potential that Carvalho has more people would be making a fuss of how good he is.

I would also suggest that were we to buy a midfielder from the lower leagues in this country for £4m, or £5m that only had half the skill of Carvalho people would moan about the clubs lack of ambition, and we need more proven players.

The trouble is the club has made a rod for its own back, one minute they say they have a long term plan and we fans need to be patient, then they sack managers when we are not in the top six come January.

Proven players of any real quality are too expensive, especially if they are English and with ffp rules always lurking it is hard for the club to do buy enough of them in one season.

The club itself needs to lower its, and the fans expectations and buy one proven player each season, and a couple of up and coming players then play the waiting game, not bringing in shed loads of players every window.

20.) 21 Jul 2019 09:15:48
Sadder to see Osborn go than Carvs pfft. god help us.

21.) 21 Jul 2019 09:21:07
Shed loads of rubbish at that lc and 2star can't wait for the season to kick off but I'm more worried about this season then any of the last 5 or 6 if we get 4 decent signings in before the start of the season I will be happy and please no benfica rejects onwards and upwards till at least Xmas anyway p. s we still need to get rid of a few and please please do not sell lolley.

22.) 21 Jul 2019 09:24:30
LC. Some excellent points mate, only thing I’d say is I don’t think he’s as good as everyone thinks.
Maybe I watch a different game. Fingers crossed he reaches the heights of the hype as we will have a world beater if he does.

23.) 21 Jul 2019 10:32:26
Lc on last seasons performances carvallho was no better than dowell was the season before, yet carvallho is herelded as some sort of midfield genius where dowell got slagged off for being too lazy and not strong enough,

24.) 21 Jul 2019 11:06:40
2star, The only doubts anyone could have about him is, is he physically able to cope with Championship football, even does he have the mentality to cope with Championship football. Footballing wise experience is all he short of, but the above could cancel that out.

I hope for the best.

25.) 21 Jul 2019 12:04:42
If an English player had the skills and potential of Carvalho then that player would've cost a lot more than £13 million. You'd be looking upwards of £25 million at least.

26.) 21 Jul 2019 12:07:44
Stevie f, I for one would not say Carvalho is a Midfield genius but Dowell was a loan player that Everton had at the time no intention of selling.

Why would we help Everton make one of their player better when we can do it with one of our own.

27.) 21 Jul 2019 13:47:37
Not from what I saw last season psycho - clough. If we could get our money back I’d be glad to see him go so that we can invest in a good striker.

In fact I’d hazard a guess that we’d have moved him in if we could get the money back. He delivered so little last season we’d be lucky to get 6 million back, that’s why he’s still here despite a poor return last season.

All that said though I’ll be over the moon to be proved wrong though 👍.

28.) 21 Jul 2019 14:24:00
Lc I was merely comparing the 2, not much between them for me, except 1 cost us 13 mill, so we should have expected a bit more from him, PSYCHO CLOUGH you are living in fantasy land mate 25 mill? I haven’t noticed big clubs knocking our door down to get him, so he’s not exactly hot property is he?

29.) 21 Jul 2019 14:52:40
2star he was a average player last season he had 1 good game followed by 3 where he went missing or wasn't bothered oniell sorted that out by putting him on the bench thought he had a right to be in eleven because of his price tag to me there's only olympiacos that we could just scrape money back for him and I would say he's probably worth 4 million at the minute if he has a good season this year it will double but we will never see the 13 million back for him not good enough.

30.) 21 Jul 2019 16:21:57
Skegs I watched all the games last season and I never saw for 1 minute Carvs playing like he wasnt bothered. He was constantly pressing from the front. You also claim to know what's going on inside his head which is some gift! With regard to O'Neil dropping him that didn't really work out as it was one of the biggest clangers he made as manager. I still think he put him in against a physical Boro to try and prove a point. but we all know it ended up with egg on his face. The payment of 13 million is spread over his 5 year contract. SO up until this point we've paid about 4-5 million for him. Which is in line with your expert valuation. He has plenty of time to improve and build upon his undoubted talent. Having someone like Bostock (we are linked) at the base and Silva + Carvs combo infront would create some beautiful football.

31.) 21 Jul 2019 18:07:38
Beautiful football lol 🤡🤣.

32.) 21 Jul 2019 18:09:36
Skegs after the Bournemouth friendly in which Dias scored last season, some on here were saying that he was going to rip the championship apart, we’ all know how that ended, let’s see Silva in championship action before we start building him up, I sincerely hope he does ok, but we won’t know until the real test starts.

33.) 21 Jul 2019 19:01:06
Skegs, I know you prefer the O'Neil way of hoofball with Yates and Watson in midfield and Murphy up top. But some of us like to watch attractive football. Giving these technical players the start will do that. Stevie I haven't said we are going to blast the league and I personally would be more than happy with achieving that 6th place spot.

20 Jul 2019 14:16:00
There are so many parallels to be drawn between the words of Lamouchi and those of Karanka at the same stage last pre-season. Strengthening of the squad, signing experienced players, preparing for a long hard season, getting new players in early so as to get them to understand how he wants them to play and all that type of thing (to coin a phrase) . Time after time we have had this type of rhetoric spouted at us by an absolute plethora of managers and still we await some kind of definitive progress towards Premiership football. Surely by the law of averages, at some point, all the things that need to be right at the same time to achieve that goal will fall into place. I simply HAVE TO believe that this is about to happen, otherwise what's the point to it all. YOU REDS!

1.) 20 Jul 2019 15:39:22
How dare you use such language as rhetoric and plethora 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

2.) 20 Jul 2019 15:53:42
79 my bad! 😕.

3.) 20 Jul 2019 23:59:54
Well spelt good to see someone uses spellcheck on their posts! 😘😊.

20 Jul 2019 09:13:38
It's good to see that A. A. was not anonymous during last night's game.

1.) 20 Jul 2019 10:16:49
I really didn't know what to expect as I walked up the banks of the trent last evening, but I've got to say, I was pleasantly surprised.
As others have mentioned, the two players that stood out to me were Muric and Silva.
Muric really commanded his box well and Silva has great vision and gets stuck into a tackle.
Good all round performance from the whole squad in general.
The one critusm I do have is that killer pass in the final third or the ball out wide is still two or three seconds too late.
I'll be there next Friday again.
Have a great weekend everyone.

2.) 20 Jul 2019 12:29:04
Sounds like in Tiago we may have a decent freekick taker as well, good stuff Forest.

Will Benteke ever score again?

19 Jul 2019 22:03:54
A. A. Rescue!

1.) 19 Jul 2019 22:05:39
Uncle Albert looking like a bargain.

2.) 19 Jul 2019 23:05:20
Adomah did ok but Silva was the man tonight. Muric also looked the business 👌🏼.

3.) 19 Jul 2019 23:12:50
Good headline sgetty.

17 Jul 2019 21:43:40
Have just seen Marinakis interview. His determination and commitment to our success is palpable!

1.) 17 Jul 2019 23:25:54
Thought the same.

2.) 18 Jul 2019 06:48:46
He clearly knows what he's doing and he's got a great record for success. It comes down to the players on the pitch at the end of the day though, and for me, we're still 3 or 4 quality players away from being serious promotion contenders.

3.) 18 Jul 2019 07:15:46
Totally agree with you GazzaRed but trouble is what we might think are quality players the manager might not. Not everyone will be on the same page with this unfortunatly. But going bck to the interview I thought he is a very passionate man with only good intentions for NF and if he's willing to keep ploughing money into NF us as supporters need to back him. Obviously us supporters will not always agree on whos been bought or sold we just got to hope its the missing piece of the puzzle. My personal view on things are its not only what money is spent on a player its the money spent in the background like bringing the womans team forward and putting sport on in schools and other things. I for one really believe we have the best owner we've had for years.

4.) 18 Jul 2019 07:23:43
There's no doubt about his commitment and determination sgetty and even his experience of running a great team in Greece but this is a whole different ball game in the championship and bringing in lightweight foreign players ain't going to cut it in this league especially free ones.

5.) 18 Jul 2019 09:22:00
You won't get into the Premiership by chopping and changing managers every 6 months, and if you do get there you desperately need continuity - look how many clubs flop once they go up. M is as flighty as Fawaz, and just as clueless.

6.) 18 Jul 2019 10:43:15
From the interview he’s putting people behind the scenes to have continuity. So when a new head coach comes in it won’t be that much of a change. Similar to Watford, Chelsea etc.

7.) 18 Jul 2019 14:02:27
I think the owner has the best of intentions unfortunately for him we are stuck in probably the most competitive league in the world to be successful in, and many clubs have ambitious owners throwing millions at it, plus these parachute payments are making a mockery of the ludicrous ffp rules, I don’t doubt the owners sincerity though,

8.) 18 Jul 2019 21:52:27
He has put a structure into place and leaves people to run the club, if he doesn’t like what he sees he acts upon it without hesitation, that’s his pitfall he’s a bit hasty and trigger happy, but if things go well they will get rewarded.
So now it’s up to the players and coaches to perform,
it’s something they would have seen at Olympiacos and speaking to there players that should give them the motivation to succeed.

9.) 19 Jul 2019 14:48:06
Playing for Nottingham Forest, and their being professional footballers should all the motivation they need.

I agree Flo, that's a big wage, but I feel we may have to bite the bullet at some point. If we need a striker who is proven at Championship level it is going to cost. Whilst Grabbans attitude is clearly questionable he is a goal scorer (penalties apart) . We cannot rely solely upon him (unless playing away, of course) .
