Having read reports on Saturday's game in Wolverhampton's press they are delighted with their win. Wolves regard it as a huge win, and a big win. As I saw with Wolves play they gave us respect in the first half, less so in the second. Most teams when they play us say that they expect to get something from the game. After if they get a result they are over the moon, so don't think we are not improving, we are.

Since1951

1.) 18 Sep 2017 16:21:38
I think we have improved in some ways but lacking so much in defence plus I noticed that yeah we like to play it on the ground but spend half of it going backwards don't seem to be able to move the ball quickly sometimes I also think Eric should get in the team , one thing that did puzzle me we played one upfront at home which seemed negative while wolves played three upfront

2.) 18 Sep 2017 16:23:53
If I was any other championship team about to play us I would think they have some decent players going forward and have a goal in them but they are crap at the back and vulnerable at set pieces. Full backs that love to getting forward but can't defend for toffee.
We are a team that has improved as a squad from last season and are sorting things out off the pitch but I suspect teams are hardly quaking in their boots at the thought of playing us.

3.) 18 Sep 2017 21:07:31
how can you say there improving.they lose and that's improvement. goals against will be like a cricket score end of season.face the facts, they are not improving.they can't score.cant defend, and can't fathom out mw,s tactics plan.

4.) 18 Sep 2017 22:12:28
Won 4 Lost 4. Should have lost to Millwall, but should have beat Barnsley. How many times in the past when we were not fighting relegation did we out play teams but drew or lost. Like RR said they are all tough games. Defending is poor but Warburton's more attack minded, but hopefully he will sort the defence out so they are more organised, plenty of games left to do it.

5.) 19 Sep 2017 12:07:18
True bright. Plenty of time. Consolidation this season.

6.) 19 Sep 2017 13:12:45
Typical of a v tight league. Not much to choose between most teams so games not likely to be dominated either way. Stay calm and enjoy the tension :/

Received a message from a reliable friend of mine who works from Hampden park that we are looking at more Scottish players. He also confirms that Jason Cummings is a absolute Head Banger, wonder what antics he will get up to on the park.

Since1951

1.) 19 Jun 2017 16:56:06
Looking at, and getting?

2.) 19 Jun 2017 20:44:53
1951 Have a look at our new strikers antics in a wrestling match with some Scottish professional grappler. Very funny but I'm not sure it's very professional to risk putting your back out whilst arsing around unless he's going to pay the club his wages back whilst he's out of action due to self inflicted injuries. Warbo and the club captain Cohen need to have a quiet word ( or even some loud ones) in his shell like ear about growing g up a bit!

3.) 19 Jun 2017 21:45:08
Too right. acting like a big time Charlie before he's actually done anything. will he go the same way as pat? pato was and is a quality player with massive potential but his social life got in the way just like a certain mr mcgugan.

4.) 19 Jun 2017 21:01:26
If you try to tame some players, you risk losing the very thing that makes the player that they are, therefore losing their effectiveness.

5.) 19 Jun 2017 23:08:03
Utf why don't we just wave the white flag.
Were doomed with your attitude.
Not happy with the past, not happy with the future.
What would make you happy?

6.) 20 Jun 2017 00:41:11
I have a suspicion it's a running joke for UTF now. Best thing the positive fans on this forum can do is ignore ANY persistent negativity - we've had a lot the past five years!

Here's to a clean slate and a promising season!

7.) 20 Jun 2017 08:30:25
Cloughie bought some players that other teams wouldn't touch with a barge post. Just look at a certain Kenny Burns who was an absolute terrier but at the time that was what Forest needed in the team. So if we buy players that are not in the mold of an angel but as a little devil then WB has a plan so let's get behind him and not criticized the players that he is buying.

8.) 20 Jun 2017 09:25:29
lol Stokey, that really made me chuckle, are we going to refer to him on here as 'Cum Dog' from now on? :)

Great to see players enjoying themselves and bonding, it's no worse than we used to do in our living room as kids! (Sorry Mum) .

9.) 20 Jun 2017 11:49:59
Good quality banter stuff like that brings sides together.

10.) 20 Jun 2017 14:44:33
Knowing our luck Mr Cummings and his left foot that can "open a tin of beans" will probably slip on the kitchen floor and severe his toe and take on the Matty Fryatt Number 7 role on the treatment table?

11.) 20 Jun 2017 18:30:09
UTF. know any good jokes? 😋😋😋.

12.) 20 Jun 2017 18:26:30
Mate I wouldn't care if he was sat on a chair, with two pencils stuck up his nose, with a pair of underpants on his head shouting "Wibble! As long as he bangs them in for the Mighty Reds!

13.) 20 Jun 2017 18:50:02
Don't get me wrong fellow reds I wouldn't want to knock the spirit out of our "cumdog" just don't do anything too reckless and knacker his back or something! Mind you I used to wince every time Earnshaw did a somersault when he scored! We need characters in the team certainly! As you say you wouldn't take liberties with Big Larry and Kenny but Cloughie channelled that energy and notoriety to positive effect. It's called man management and that was Cloughies genius!

14.) 20 Jun 2017 19:07:03
Rogie is there something we should know about? lol😆😆😆.

15.) 21 Jun 2017 21:52:29
Very loosely connected to Earnies somersault celebrations and Jason "Cumdog" Cummins antics I was reminded of an old Police colleague of mine who I will refer to by his first name only Darren to spare his blushes, who was a laugh a minute. Apart from being a talented impressionist (his John Wayne was faultless even down to the Dukes distinctive walk), he was a natural comedian.

I remember doing traffic duty on Noel Street one Goose Fair afternoon when I heard roars of laughter and looked to see kids pointing and there was Darren walking through the crowd in full Police uniform but instead of his Police helmet he had a huge Police traffic cone wedged tightly on his head. He was saying (to general uproar) "well, that's the last time I try to give a 6 foot 4 bodybuilder a parking ticket! " He actually was selected to go for an audition at RADA in London and was doing very well until it came to the performing arts bit.

The other candidates were doing amazing acrobatics with running up the walls and gymnastic springs etc When his turn came Darren (who was of portly build) walked on stage, placed his jacket down, did a ponderous forward roll on it, stood up and in front of the incredulous judges spread his arms and said "Ta-daaa"! Needless to say he failed the audition. But in terms of laughs RADA s loss was our gain. A great guy and its a real bonus to have such characters in your team.

To some this is a none story, but as yet has mileage. Some years ago 1973 to be exact a personal friend of mine was involved with the proceedings of a match on the 8th October at the Baseball ground, between Derby v Sunderland in the League cup. I was present with a work mate who was nuts about Derby, me solid Forest. Derby scored 2 first half goals and played Sunderland of the park. At The start of the second half out came Sunderland but Derby took the field late. As the half ticked by it was evident something was different as Sunderland took total control and scored two second half goals and Derby were lucky to get a draw, half way through the half I said to my mate that something has gone off. Seeing my personal friend days later I asked what the hell had gone off, he said at half time one hell of a ding dong but I dare not say otherwise I, am for it. Clough at this time was at odds with Longson who had Offered Clough and Taylor more money to stay. On 13 October Derby played Man. Utd away and two days later both of them had left. To this day my friend will not say what went on but believe me he said it was explosive. One day he will say. As their are still people around, who are still around its no dice. Involved that night were two ex forest players Newton and Hinton and two future players McGovern and Gemmill. I push as hard as I dare.

Since1951

1.) 10 May 2017 14:29:52
Maybe they just had a crappy second half and he's been pulling your todger for the past 1000 years, as a Derby fan would. The Reds have been a different team either side of half time all season.

13 Jan 2017 23:14:54
Not many know this but hopefully the press may want to confirm this one day that their was offers of buy outs from 1 a consortium lead by a player 2 the Greek guy 3 a big drinks company who own a bundesliga club 4 now the yanks . Are all four trying to screw wazzock or is their one common denominator . Yes their have been 4 fact, this season so far . I think wazzock wants £50 mill plus the sale of players he brought into the club, but the players are the club so what are you buying for £50mill . Don't tell me it's crap it's true . FACT.

Since1951

1.) 13 Jan 2017 23:34:32
On the basis there is little value in the assets other than the contracted playing staff then for £50m you are buying a dream and a dwindling cash flow of gate receipts. Seller price based on average historic gates of circa 23000. Vote with your feet and reduce the gate to 12000 equals half the price which gives Casino Man very little wiggle room as he is never going to buy his way out the league?

Various suggestions doing the rounds, always thought Fawaz family would ask for more at the final stages. Fans suspicions coming up to the mark . I can see J J Moores group dropping out as did Frank Clarke and Red Bull also, l can see this going badly wrong, players leaving and dropping down to division 1 .

If that happened Fawaz would lose one hell of a lot of money and be worse off instead of accepting a good offer from J J Moores. You have made a right mess of it Fawaz, l hope you lose big time.

Since1951

1.) 20 Dec 2016 18:10:15
Dont talk crap its as good as done we just have to wait.

2.) 20 Dec 2016 18:32:57
WellNF73fC so far so good, but someone has not yet signed on the dotted line yet, or is that carp .

3.) 20 Dec 2016 18:39:33
Its fawaz we are talking about what did we expect. But the deal is done just needs announcing and hopefully we will never see the prat again.

4.) 20 Dec 2016 19:24:20
Just sit tight mate and enjoy the show !

5.) 20 Dec 2016 21:25:46
Too right NF73FC, very ignorant man and a poor owner. Hopefully announcement will be soon as building blocks appear in place. However need this done sooner rather than later!

6.) 20 Dec 2016 21:30:39
Dont count your chickens guys. Well till all signed and ink dried. Until then presume nothing.

7.) 20 Dec 2016 22:44:09
For john jay moores to start up a new company to facilitate loans given to the club would surely mean paperwork has already been signed? would any business man who's made as much as him do this without something contractually being in place?

8.) 21 Dec 2016 06:32:32
"Various suggestions doing the rounds. " so basically someone mentioned it on that well known reliable news site Twitter?

9.) 21 Dec 2016 10:38:24
How about the takeover starting on Jan 1st, would make sense. Why take over now and have to pay the players wages and club bills for December. Everything looks like it's in place and ready to go.

10.) 21 Dec 2016 12:59:14
The club shop have slashed the price of Christmas decorations. Top buy is the Fawaz Fairy for the top of the tree to celebrate his last Christmas at the club! Surely a Collectors item? Pity he he did not complete the sale 5th November and then they could have all gone on the bonfire!

11.) 21 Dec 2016 13:15:07
Nice one redinexile that's made me smile today. Fatwaz has made himself very very unpopular.

Would not entirely disagree with the way skegsjay is thinking, waiting for the improvement at the start of the season. Don, t have to be wins but the positive movement on the pitch, and tackles going in. Always looking for the right approach in players even when they are not in current play. Off the ball play is vital to see how the team are playing, and instructed to play. AK should have them buzzing, they are his team now.

Banter England: A long long time ago, in a far distant land in another century, even before the common market their was a time when football was played. Yes, in 1966 I was on holiday in San Bartolomeo Al Mare Italy the time of the world cup final at Wembley. On the day of the final my self and three other English were sitting in a bar alone with approx 250 Italians and Germans, watching on a small black and white tv, when the game was over we had a light discussion of the goal that did the ball cross the line. To try to convince us it did they plyed us with beer, but we resisted their pressure no matter how much they gave us. For the rest of the holiday they visited our camp site with pictures and articles, even our bar. Still more beer, how we resisted no one knows, we were . ssed. Happy days, hope its repeated for you guys.

Remember that day well at 13 and my Dad had booked a holiday at Woolacombe Bay Devon and we spent most of the game trying to listen on the car radio travelling down. At least manage to watch extra time at the hotel.
Never could understand how a football fan could book a holiday on World Cup Final Day?
But then he was born a Pie on Meadow Lane. RIP.

Look lads, I use all the right 26 letters but not necesssarily in the right order. When l look at my keyboard their are such a lovely array of keys to choose from, l am spoilt for choice. As we have raised it earlier my first match was in 1951 as near as dam it to my 5th birthday. I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.

Since1951

1.) 17 Jun 2018 14:07:19
I remember an old school teacher telling me to always choose a forward facing seat whilst travelling by coach or train.I still do it to this day. Am always looking forward where all things Forest is concerned!

2.) 17 Jun 2018 15:02:32
Have you ever thought about writing a book 1951 🤔😴😁

3.) 18 Jun 2018 12:02:01
Yes sgetty similarly I always sit in the rear most seats when flying, after all you never hear of planes backing into mountains do you?

4.) 18 Jun 2018 12:20:12
I never worry when flying stokey as most of it is over the ocean and I've got a life jacket and a light and not forgetting the most important thing? A whistle.
No worries got it all covered barring wearing my flip flops shorts and teashirt.🤣🤣🤣

17 Jun 2018 09:34:05
Remember Berke and Brit, not setting the world on fire. Big money does not mean big success, shrewd careful planning is on AK, s mind. No headlong dash because players are available, caution over selecting targets is boring but is necessary. Wait to long and they have gone, easy ain, t it, bet you wish you were in charge spending money, giving more problems than you realize. If we had no money it would be easy loans, loans, loans. Their must be someone in our 18,000 plus who has the answer for AK, look on this site their is nobody coming up with suggestions of who we could get, is there? Don, t hide under a bushel let's hear them. Wait for it Ed.

Since1951

1.) 17 Jun 2018 09:58:04
All the hype and speculation is whipped up by journos looking to publish click-bait, and too many fall for it. We just have to trust AK to get it right - he gets Dawson at 34 years of age, but then two very young Portuguese players, so it is all varied and rightly so. We want a team we can build success on, and that's where we are heading, but there is no quick fix.

2.) 17 Jun 2018 10:50:22
Britts goal per minute ratio was the 4th best in the league last season, Burke has not been given any sort of a chance since leaving forest but clearly still holds great ability, so I don't understand where your getting your judgement of their performances from? If we get a new striker in who scores a goal every other game, that'll do for me.

3.) 17 Jun 2018 10:52:04
1951 you'll be in trouble??
The Sunday school teacher will be on to you soon?
You don't spell Burke? Berke and Britt, brit you berk.
Lol🤣🤣🤣🤣

4.) 17 Jun 2018 10:57:46
FF - wheres the question marks???? Don't be discouraged!

5.) 17 Jun 2018 11:01:32
I wish we still had Britt.

6.) 17 Jun 2018 11:04:46
Quite correct Ff799. Take 200 lines and a detention Since1951 . Would have had the strap in my day.

7.) 17 Jun 2018 11:28:56
And I bet it never did you any harm?

8.) 17 Jun 2018 11:53:21
Not as much as the blackboard rubber hurled at my earhole did.

9.) 17 Jun 2018 12:41:18
At my old school I was hit on the knuckles by a Nun once!!! ⛪⛪⛪✝️✝️✝️😭😭😭

10.) 17 Jun 2018 14:15:35
I've been there mate!

11.) 17 Jun 2018 16:01:51
Rogie I bet you were nun too pleased

Class mate!!! Let's not make this a "habit!!" 😂😂😂

14 Jun 2018 09:04:47
Wonder if Derby are playing mind games as regard Marriott, looks like stirring the pot up to me. Think they may have to get rid of one or two, to make room in their finances. For me the biggest urgency is a keeper, we are looking far and wide for one. Marriott for me not ready to step up, still very raw think we should look else where. Think Eric a little outspoken for AK, the abuse to Eric and his family is out of order, if it, s people from this club they should be ashamed, is that the true measure of our support, WOW!

Since1951

1.) 14 Jun 2018 09:41:52
You say he's not ready to step up?
Look at britt asombalonga... He made the transition so why can't marriott?
Another example is vardy.
He may be raw but he scores goals where as the so called strikers we have couldn't shoot a barn door at point blank range.
He's worth a bid.

2.) 14 Jun 2018 23:37:01
Have you never been to auctions? You always get the tyre kickers ( Derby) running up the bids and the auctioneer ( Fry) taking bids off the wall!
If AK wants him we shall have him on our terms or use our interest as the deflection to sign our actual targets?

If Derby "have entered the race" then this is classic Fry trying to jack up the fee using our closest rivals as a lever.
As Marriott has expressed his preference for Forest then this is Fry's last roll of the dice if AK really wants him?

Well to all the people who know me was l right, or was l right . If the above is correct then their we are . The deal can still be saved but Fawaz treats life like it owes him big time and has expectations above his station . He now has to crawl wherever he goes and the Americans can now dictate better terms, what an absolute idiot . He now will never get what he wants, now he will lose a lot more money than before. Hope the Football League now get involved and fine him gig time .
