Lam rumoured to be going back to the club we brought him from.

1.) 20 Aug 2018 12:03:51
Hope we can make a profit.

15 Aug 2018 18:44:46
Blackburn have come back for Brereton, wanting to take him on loan then permanently for £6m. Forest said to want £12m.

1.) 15 Aug 2018 20:55:10
I wouldn't loan to a championship club. If they really wanted him they should have dug deep before the deadline.I would only sell to prem with 10 million plus.Whether you rate him or not fact remains he's an England under 20 striker which means silly money.

2.) 16 Aug 2018 08:53:35
Venkys are all about the show. They knew that offer was not going to be enough.Token gesture to placate their supporters to show "ambition" .

3.) 16 Aug 2018 12:47:12
Not sure £12m. bit steep, considering he isn't really proven that much. £9.5m and we must consider it, that's assuming we are interested in selling (not saying we are, of course!).

4.) 16 Aug 2018 14:14:21
David Brooks Sheffield Utd to Bournemouth 11.5 million.Forest wanting the going rate.

5.) 16 Aug 2018 16:08:14
Brooks different class to Brereton 6 million snap there hands off

6.) 16 Aug 2018 17:38:44
Not according to reports.Forest want 12.

12 Aug 2018 13:40:30
Byram is on a season long loan, but not with a view to buy. Aitor said he has to prove himself first, and he will not consider making his season long loan permanent untill January.

1.) 14 Aug 2018 09:07:08
Sorry Stag, but if he does well for us he will buy him, if he doesn't he won't.

Looking forward to him playing, hopefully will get a run out tonight I'm sure.

10 Aug 2018 18:19:39
Peterborough's owner has said he is irked that the club only wanted Cummings out on loan.

1.) 10 Aug 2018 18:54:49
I don't know about you Stags, but he irks me with his incessant jibber jabber!

2.) 10 Aug 2018 18:59:49
Sgetty, i agree, but his clubs fans love him.

3.) 10 Aug 2018 19:08:15
Not as much as he loves himself

4.) 11 Aug 2018 04:41:44
Dont think we will see Cummings at Forest again

5.) 11 Aug 2018 08:20:04
If he scores 25 goals this season, doesn't that mean he's worth 6m like Marriott?

09 Aug 2018 13:09:41
Phil Cadden has said Forest, Swansea, and Cardiff are after Andy King on loan.

1.) 09 Aug 2018 14:35:27
Back up for the deep play making role? If gued gets injured we might struggle.

19 Aug 2018 13:38:12
Aitor has said : he is not overly concerned about Grabban's penalty miss. What🤐😠🤒 when a player thinks he can softly kick the ball to score from the penalty spot it is personic, so not to be overly concerned is a terrible statement. Every penalty has to be whacked and on target 🎯 if the keeper saves it he is either lucky or deserves to save it. The wife could have saved Grabban's penalty.

1.) 19 Aug 2018 14:48:10
Stags I would not expect AK to say anything else. (In public at least).

2.) 19 Aug 2018 15:09:51
Sgetty that is a fair point.

3.) 19 Aug 2018 20:40:04
Give over picking fault. Anyone can miss a penalty. At least he showed confidence in his ability to try and chip it in? He will come good over the season. The problem is that very few fans give a guy a chance over the whole season before making judgements!

4.) 19 Aug 2018 21:15:14
Redinexile i judge a player on what i see not on future games that have not happened. No player should take a penalty like Grabban did,it is not confidence it is arrogance, the goalkeeper only has to go the right way and it is guaranteed to be saved.

5.) 19 Aug 2018 21:36:58
Luke Steele managed to put a penalty away!

6.) 19 Aug 2018 22:49:26
He will get better but how long do you give a goalscorer the starting 11 spot when there's only one up front and he's not scoring now I know karanka likes his goals to come from midfield but you after be getting them from the man up front as well just my opinion

19 Aug 2018 09:14:44
I do not for one minute think Aitor is certain to take us to the PL but think about our five games so far 🤔 in our game against Bristol City we got a draw and they have a good home record. We for 80 minutes, before tiring out played West Brom who have come down from the PL. Admittedly Aitor, and the players were arrogant when we played Bury, but had the strength of character to win a lengthy penalty shoot out. We then faced Reading who turned the game of who's resolve is better, and it was ours. We then faced a Wigan side who's home record is good, and they came at us, they may have even fouled Pantilimon to score their first goal, but once again our character shone through to earn a away draw. You can not always play football that is easy on the eye, and we still have a lot to improve on but we are unbeaten, all be it in four league and one cup game, but unbeaten never the less. There is a long season ahead, and anything could happen, but why assume the worst.

18 Aug 2018 19:00:28
Bolton are 5th ' Blackburn are 10th.

Norwich are 20th ' Stoke are 21st

How many of you think those teams will finish in those positions at the end of the season.

1.) 18 Aug 2018 19:22:15
I don't care about any of them I care about us playing half decent football there not doing it consistant I know it's early days but when you don't know who your best 11 are after all summer and 5 matches into the season it's a bit worrying why is bloody soudani coming on as a sub every game lol he's looking like the best player we have we could of won games if he'd of started every game somebody thinks somebody doesn't know what the hell he's doing

2.) 18 Aug 2018 19:33:31
Skegsjay, Ff goes on about we should beat teams like Wigan and Bristol City, the above teams show teams are in positions they are unlikely to finish in so our form is nothing to worry about just yet.

3.) 18 Aug 2018 20:15:59
You could of said that about Burnley bourmouth Cardiff etc etc and they all stayed up and went up you need to be up there to have any chance

4.) 18 Aug 2018 20:29:21
Skegsjay will anybody think Norwich and Stoke will come good, if they do why not us. The way you post anybody would think we are in the month of March, not the month of August.

18 Aug 2018 17:31:38
Wigan's results over their last 20 home games are proof that we should not be surprised at todays result. Once again we showed the character to get back in the game surely that should be cause for optimism. Lots of hard work needs to be done but keep chopping and changing players is not the solution. Grabban is not a lone striker.

1.) 18 Aug 2018 17:38:31
Sorry stag that's rubbish.
League one form is what your talking about

2.) 18 Aug 2018 17:47:24
Load of rubbish stags the team was crap today it's that simple

3.) 18 Aug 2018 17:50:29
Ff it does not matter what league you are in good home form is good home form and breeds confidence to do well whenever you play there.

4.) 18 Aug 2018 18:17:21
ff799 & skegjay its a point on the board is that upsetting you 2 in some way.

5.) 18 Aug 2018 18:32:03
Yes it is chopsy.playing rubbish and still coming away with a point could be the difference from autos or playoffs or playoffs and 7th.

6.) 18 Aug 2018 18:37:27
Yes chopsy it is I guess you think the team played well lol 😲

7.) 18 Aug 2018 18:43:52
Your in dreamland Sutton, wake up and smell the roses.

8.) 18 Aug 2018 19:28:05
you keep guessing skegjay i ll just chill and be happy with a point

9.) 18 Aug 2018 19:40:42
ff799 i didn't know you watched teams in div 1. wot teams are them then ??????

10.) 18 Aug 2018 22:48:20
Fulham drew 3 and lost 1 of there first 4 league games last season. so I won’t write us off just yet.
I know you want karanka to fail ff but in turn that means forest will fail and I can’t see why any proper forest fan would want to see us fail.

11.) 19 Aug 2018 06:58:54
Problem is we’ve spent money so a lot of fans think we’re already promoted. Think the reality of the championship is slowly setting in

12.) 19 Aug 2018 08:07:09
I don't want him to fail Sutton,I just believe with his stubborn tactics,he will fail.
Said it from day one,he now has a squad that's too big and will become restless as well.
The players are there,it's all about team selection and tactics,
Do I think he can get that right?
In all honesty NO

17 Aug 2018 15:25:50
Cup game against Newcastle is being served on a dish, and the Wigan manager seems to think his team has lost already. Whatever happens it should be one hell of a game based on Wigan's results so far.

1.) 17 Aug 2018 16:21:48
Wouldn't fall for that old gag either mate.🤔🤔🤔

2.) 17 Aug 2018 18:53:01
Rogie Paul Merson thinks it will be a 1-1 draw. I think there is no chance of that happening, we will either thrash them, or both sides will score at least twice.

3.) 17 Aug 2018 19:16:02
I don't think there will be many games this season we will concede 2 or more goals.

4.) 17 Aug 2018 19:59:59
Perks13 although i feel we are a much better team this season, one that works hard as well as having more flair players which are two assets that a must to have and the team can only get better the more games get played. I still feel a team with pace and that are good at set pieces will score two or more against us.

5.) 17 Aug 2018 20:27:39
Hard to predict a score against Wigan. Their performances have been good and they score goals. We have struggled so far to score and look like a team getting to know each other. If we click we win 3-1. If not it could be a first defeat.

6.) 17 Aug 2018 21:19:36
Fair play S2T.We have lots of experience in there now and I just don't see us being caught out more than once in a game very often. Is your fear of set pieces based on how awful we were last season?

7.) 18 Aug 2018 00:34:07
Hold on a minute please don't tell me your talking about Wigan they've had some good games against average sides lol if we can't beat Wigan then it's going to be a very sad long season nobody as predicted them to be a top 6 side now it'd going to be a tough game wow we are looking bad

8.) 18 Aug 2018 01:57:35
Perks13 my fear of set pieces is based partly on last season, but on this season aswell. We are better than last season at set pieces but other than when we have tired our only real weakness has been pieces.

9.) 18 Aug 2018 09:15:00
Perks, I'd say if we start like we did against Bury we may well concede more than 2 goals. A lot depends today on the 2 Fs Foxy and Figgy. Also a lot depends on Grabban - he's had long enough to settle in, time he scored. Still think it might be worth getting Gomis or Appiah on for 30 minutes.

10.) 18 Aug 2018 09:41:13
Anyone else been watching "The Big Match Revisited"???
Been watching for a few days now.
What an era!!!
Pitches that resembled The Somme, flying tackles, rock hard footballs/footballers,dodgy camera work,. not too mention, the ridiculous suits and hairstyles!!!
Brilliant!!! (Premier League?? Your having a laugh!!!)

11.) 18 Aug 2018 10:44:50
Bsered regardless of my views on Grabban's performance against Reading a lone striker is not about being prolific in front of goal, it is about slogging your guts out, chasing supposedly lost causes, holding the ball up in order to bring others into play, roughing up the opposition and chipping in with some goals.

12.) 18 Aug 2018 11:20:42
Bsered I wouldn't worry about the Bury goal, amateurish goalkeeping.Either come and get something on it or stay on your line.As for Grabban,if he stays first choice all season he'll walk it to 15 goals.

13.) 18 Aug 2018 12:13:18
Rogie where can I watch big match revisited mate?

14.) 18 Aug 2018 12:42:14
It's on BT Sport 1 mate.

Redinexile off course he still has a lot to learn but think about 2 things : 1 he is not the first to go down to gain a advantage, there are too many to keep track of. Last season just about every Leeds player that came to the City Ground used theatrics all over the pitch, and it was only when we were 2-0 down the officials realised what they were up to. 2 Cash and Soudani are responsible for us having 4 of our points so Cash has earned the right to start until his form dictates otherwise.

Reddog68. I realise we can not sell, and only loans are possible, although it is possible to agree to make it permanent at the end of the loan spell for a agreed fee. I feel that only benefits Blackburn, like i said a purely loan deal would suit both us and Ben more. We are no longer a team that needs to sell, unless a player wants to leave off course.

Vulcan i do not understand your post, if Brereton is not going to get much game time a purely loan deal would be ideal for both Forest and Brereton. If you want a decent sell on clause that suggests you think he will be a quality player, so why sell.

They seem desperate to get him, the club should big him up more and more who knows how much they will go to.

Sutton to a extent i see your point but although only 19 years old surely he knows the difference between Blackburn and Barcelona, the difference between Blackburn being just as likely to go back down and Forest pushing the boat out to get promoted. Game time will come eventually for him at Forest, and it is up to him to take the chance with a point made the manager can not argue with.

Sgetty you could be right but Brereton has only recently come back from England duty so the manager might have been giving him a break. Cash has shown when you get a chance to play and do well you can keep your place, orat least come off the bench in Soudani's case.

Sgetty if Brereton wants to leave fair enough, you should not force him to stay, however how the hell can his head be turned by a club like Blackburn. L

It is dreadful to say he is one of our worse signings, to say he is not playing well is one thing, but that is ridiculous to say. He is simply fed up of playing in a position that is wasting his talent.

Brereton has proven he knows where the back of net is and put the ball there while playing for England, the trouble is the last two managers rarely play to his strengths. If, or when he is a Blackburn player he may not be prolific but will score fairly regularly once his confidence grows being played where he should be.
