Grant has signed a 3 year deal, will he be loaned out again next season.

Tomorrow

1.) 12 Jun 2017 21:20:16
Lets hope he's come of age after his loan to Notts and he makes his mark for us.

2.) 13 Jun 2017 07:58:22
Send him To Burton For half a season to continue his development.

3.) 13 Jun 2017 09:46:58
Jorge might suprise us in the new season, most seem to think he, ll be a bit player or go out on loan but with a little bulking up in the gym he could make his mark, no doubt technically he, s oK needs more strength but this can come at his age, l, d like to see him come good.
CARLO.

4.) 13 Jun 2017 10:56:17
Why not give him a chance like we did cash.

5.) 13 Jun 2017 10:56:46
That i could not agree more with.

06 Jun 2017 18:34:05
We have apparently sign a 20 year old Goalkeeper on a 2 year contract.

The lads name is Liam Bossin, he is a Irish youth International, but born in Belgium.

He has been with Anderlecht since 2013. He however did have a trial with us in April.

Tomorrow

1.) 06 Jun 2017 20:56:42
Am not sure we should have any dealings with those ref bribing, smug cheating rogues at Anderlecht unless they pay us massive compensation for fiddling us out of a Euro Cup Final! Honestly I have got over it and I'm not bitter (he said snarling! )!

2.) 07 Jun 2017 06:23:40
Do we need another keeper. Is he as good as Tim Earlandson? I can only think the Serbian and Bulgarian keeper are on their way out.

06 Jun 2017 18:20:44
The American visit is supposed to be for training purposes only, unlike our past visits to Portugal there will be no Friendly Games.

J M has said Warburton already feels like a good fit, until he has got what he feels is own team, and got the first 10 games of next season out of the way it is not warranted to come out with such a statement.

Tomorrow

1.) 06 Jun 2017 11:24:10
What has having 'his own team' and playing 10 games of football got anything to do with being a good fit.

I would guess he is talking about personality and how he is getting on with people and his ambition. Why do you make this stuff up and look for the worst, its a good thing that he is fitting in well.

2.) 06 Jun 2017 12:03:08
well said Ginger kid - some fans are already trying to pick fault.

3.) 06 Jun 2017 12:52:27
Every manager has players and Forest staff saying what a good manager he is.

Every manager states their ambition.

So the real question should be why feed the fans this bull.

If you have read my previous posts you see what i think of Warburton.

My mentioning his own team, and ten games is all about just how good a fit he will, or will not be.

What is the point in the manager being ambitious, and people from the club saying they like him if after Warburton has his own team, then after 10 games we are losing every game.

4.) 06 Jun 2017 13:18:05
On your criteria Mr Clough would not have been a good fit for Forest!

For once Forest need a management team to see out their contracts and then review where we are.

The 10 game cycle tells you very little about how the club is developing as winning and losing cycles change constantly especially in the Championship.

5.) 06 Jun 2017 14:31:25
Redinexile

You have misunderstood me to a point.

Warburton has had 9 games to see what the lads are like both playing, and their attitude.

Then add in the new additions, aswell as the exits, then getting training, and pre season friendlies under the Warburton regime he will have been able to get his ethos across.

The first ten games to a season is roughly how long it takes the opposition to work out all your teams weaknesses, and how to counteract your strengths.

I was not suggesting after 10 games we should sack Warburton if we are not winning every game.

I was just suggesting we would be able to see if the players can play his way, and if given time he can improve the team, and off course the results.

On the other hand off course you would also be able to see if the players really do like him, if not we all know how that ends.

Off course you also did not take into account the McClaren, and McLeish factors, where we were not just losing, but just how many were we going to lose by.

When that happens you can not let them see out their contracts.

6.) 06 Jun 2017 16:09:31
Must be really horrible that you can't just turn around and say your wrong Tomorrow:)

7.) 06 Jun 2017 16:51:47
Gingerkid42

It be horrible when you look for the worst things possible in people's posts, and being unable to understand what their point of view really is, and not the confrontational content you want to believe it is.

Are saying no other Forest manager has had nice things said about them by different Forest staff, be it players or coaches, and former players.

J M statement is just the usual protocol.

Are you telling me after 10 games should we be losing every game You will be staying :

Warburton is a good manager, with a good personality, and ambitious so let's keep hold of him, if you do you will be part of a tiny minority.

I just pointed out what JM said is baseless when taken in as whether not Warburton would be successful, as it is too early to say.

8.) 06 Jun 2017 16:57:52
id much rather he came out and said he was an awful manager and didn't get on with the players :)

9.) 06 Jun 2017 17:07:49
2tone

That is very funny.

10.) 06 Jun 2017 17:18:34
Look we can't base it on the first 10 games of next season because that is the future- he seems a good fit and everyone seems happy - sounds good to me! Let's have a discussion after some pre season games and another one after after 10 games 🤔Keep smiling.

11.) 06 Jun 2017 17:21:46
Lets just call it an honourable draw boys and move on?

JM out! Ha-ha.

12.) 06 Jun 2017 19:50:41
pmsl, you made the statement 'he's not warranted to come out with such a statement' after he said he was a good fit.

They obviously think that MW gets on well with everyone and fits well with their plans. Why can't they say that, omg, stop the front page.

Thats not being confrontational, that's good common sense and seeing his comment for what it is, just a nice comment! If anyone disagrees with you your defence is to waffle on till they get bored and lose the will to live.

Is your favourite band the Spin Doctors? get a grip man.

13.) 07 Jun 2017 16:06:06
Quite liked The Saw Doctors mate. 🎸🎸🎸.

We are getting Season Ticket Cards as a result of the new operating system at the turnstiles.

Things are changing quickly.

I think this was the plan even under fawaz.

Apparently the Hibs lad was sidelined by his manager at one point last season, his manager lstating if he is not scoring he is not contributing much to the game.

Have read that Matty James is to leave Leicester, but they stated with Vaughan, and Cohen at the club he would not get much game time which he has mentioned is a must if he joins another club.

Had a bad injury some time ago, out of Matty, should we go for and get him, and both Vaughan and Cohen who would you give more game time.

Fox in part of his interview said something refreshing :

Sometimes manager's have a misconception that because a player has worked hard in a game he therefore needs a rest.

Player's need to play 4 games in the Championship to get up to speed, we want to keep playing, it is what we get paid for.

Whatever you think of him as a player, it is a good thing to read that having been said, it also is a poke in the ribs to manager's that like to think they are doing the right thing to chop and change.

Thank you for that, i was thinking he would be loaned to us and a loan fee would be involved.

I did not realise they had let him go.

Ed007

That is some statement, what are his strengths, and weakness.

Tomorrow

{Ed007's Note - Not really when you look back at all the English dross you've had playing up there. ;) Btw the only other one since Pierre I can remember is Earnshaw and I'm sure he's Welsh so we'll let him off.
Seriously though signing Cummings is a gamble but if it pays off you'll have a good player on your hands, he's quick and he definitely knows where the goal is and is deadly in and around the box and even though it's a big step up for him from the Scottish 2nd tier to the Championship it won't faze him. He's got a bit of an attitude and fancies himself as a bit of a superstar in the making. JC's far from the finished article but there is the raw talent and potential there.
As you can see from the start of my answer I'm no expert on your players or squad but if JC gets enough game time I reckon he'll score goals for you if you can supply the chances. I thought he would stay with HIbs for another year but I was hoping Celtic were looking at him to be our 3rd choice striker behind Dembele and Griffiths -
that was never going to happen once Championship teams started sniffing about. There's been plenty of English Championship scouts up watching him this season so it's not as if MW has just pulled a pig in a poke from nowhere, he would have other options if it wasn't Forest, weren't Leeds talking to Hibs and Ipswich seem to have opted to sign Joe Garner over Cummings.}

My point was his wages would possibly be too high based on the way Newcastle were throwing money around, which i assume included on wages.

You did not address that point, only they sold players to create money for transfers.
