Posters are suggesting different figures should Warburton end up selling Britt but it is certain he will get the upmost for him.

I have faith that McPharland, and Warburton are negotiating hard to do just that.

Some have said Warburton advertised Britt when saying every player has a price, i believe that is when negotiations had already started.

I think he was always going to go in order for Warburton to spend what he needs to get the rest of the players he wants in.

1.) 14 Jul 2017 17:54:54
i agree, the forwards they signed were for small money too so to get a replacement for britt we may not have to spend huge money, meaning we could sign a replacement and maybe one or two other players and still have some cash left over to make sure we are ok with ffp rules. were we to spend a lot of money on another striker though i'd like to see us try and get afobe. he's not done great at bournemouth but should we offer them the 10mil they spent on him they might accept with them already having defoe, king, wilson and mousset ahead of him in the pecking order.

2.) 14 Jul 2017 19:00:38
My money is on lasse vibe from brentford won't cost the earth and is in the final year of his contract but might be a little old for a warbo signing but think he would do a job for us.

3.) 14 Jul 2017 19:36:50
What would be the point in spending all of the Britt money on another forward, like Afobe? The main reason Britt is going is because we need the money. If we didn't need the money we wouldn't be selling Britt.

4.) 14 Jul 2017 19:49:03
The "vibes" aren't good on that one. 😂😂😂😂.

5.) 14 Jul 2017 21:34:33
i don't remember saying spend all the money. i said if we could spend A LOT OF the money such as 10 mil on a striker. i also said that we should leave some of the money over to fall within ffp rules. in afobe there is a striker who has scored 20 goals a season rather than could score 20 a season. afobe has also played 46 games in one league season compared to britts best of 32. so afobe plays more, scores more, brings more to the team than just goals, and could probably be brought with some left over cash as well for ffp.

6.) 14 Jul 2017 21:48:11
that we could, sorry, not if we could.

7.) 14 Jul 2017 21:58:40
Nffc99 doesn't matter we won't spend 2million on a striker or any other player, we are bargain basement shopping.
Just hope Warburton knows what he's doing?

8.) 14 Jul 2017 22:03:08
In the championship adobe scored a goal every 204 mins to britts one every 147 mins.
Britt played 69 games in the championship scoring 30 goals whilst adobe played 86 games scoring 26!
I'm no mathematician but to me this means britt scores more as he's played 17 games less but scored 4 more goals.

9.) 14 Jul 2017 22:10:19
Good stats utf but we both know it ain't happening anyway.

10.) 14 Jul 2017 22:11:25
i understand we are buying bargains but all i said was that if we were to spend a large amount of the money on a striker i would like it to be afobe. i know we need money for ffp but surely not rnough that we can't spend a decent amount on a quality striker. if we did get 17mil and spend 10 for example, would 7mil jot be enough, surely we don't need that much.

11.) 14 Jul 2017 22:29:42
We don't need money now for ffp.
It's probably know we're near your figures and it's not just strikers, we won't be spending on defenders or midfielders as well.
We are buying and selling for the future.
Let's hope it works.

12.) 14 Jul 2017 22:43:46
What's not happening? britt leaving or afobe coming?

13.) 15 Jul 2017 00:04:41
Afobe shouldn't cost 10m. He hasn't stepped up in prem.
But is good in championship so 6m might get him.

14.) 15 Jul 2017 02:09:47
utf the talk about afobe just came from me saying i would be pleased if we signed him if britt left. there is no rumours or links it just came from my opinion.

15.) 15 Jul 2017 06:39:43
Go get a league 1 or league 2 gem for £500k and sell him for £10m in 2 years

Do not spend £10m on anyone that's madness in the days of FFP.

16.) 15 Jul 2017 08:39:39
Omar Bogle would be relatively cheap and looked sharp in the championship. Worth a gamble in my opinion.
I don't believe we are selling Britt to raise cash, I believe the player wants to go.

17.) 15 Jul 2017 10:20:19
We don't need gambles tho. if he wants a 23 man squad we don't need gambles in there. we already signed two gambles.

18.) 15 Jul 2017 10:36:42
I'd sign afobe for 5m plus add ons games goals promotion ect. He's down pecking order so could be available.
Wish warburton would get on with signing a central defender and central midfielder. These are a priority.

19.) 15 Jul 2017 10:43:54
Red dog, when did Bogle look sharp?

20.) 15 Jul 2017 10:48:40
When on the pitch 2star?
I wasn't referring to his hair cut.

21.) 15 Jul 2017 10:53:53
29 man squad on official site as it stands and I think we won't see a centre back coming in, think MW will work with what he has.
Maybe a young midfielder and a young striker if britt goes and goalie to replace stojkovic.
Not saying that's what I would like but what I think will happen.

22.) 15 Jul 2017 11:12:19
I watched a Cherries v Southampton game in the pub last season and all the Bournemouth fans were slating Afobe and couldn't wait too get rid, so no thanks.

23.) 15 Jul 2017 11:32:56
just because he may not be good enough for bournemouth that doesn't mean he's not good enough for us.

24.) 15 Jul 2017 11:34:04
Ginger that pub is their ground.
😂😂😂😂.

25.) 15 Jul 2017 14:06:51
Still can't believe that we didn't try to sign Ricky Miller from Dover earlier in the year, he's a goal machine at lower league football but Peterborough signed him. He scored 42 goals last season. Peterborough signed him for 250,000. I reckon a 500,000 offer may get him off them.

26.) 15 Jul 2017 14:18:12
So you base it on one game? lol.
Love Marco, i'd but him for 5 mill! i bet you would but Bournemouth would want more so how would that one work?

27.) 15 Jul 2017 14:25:18
lol, I can't keep up with their ground, gold sands, dean court, vitality stadium?

If its is a pub maybe 'The Bang it' Inn?

28.) 15 Jul 2017 15:19:41
Sharp or not he's goals to games ratio at Wigan is poor.

29.) 15 Jul 2017 15:28:36
I don't think we will look to spend much on a replacement. Since the rumours of teams having general interest in Britt have gathered pace all rumours of Vellios going back to Greece (which seemed almost a done deal a month or so ago) have disappeared. I truly believe him, Brereton and Cummings can step up along with maybe one relatively cheap striker signing to replace Assombolongas 14 goals a season and money can be spend in Midfield and Defence which I think is more needed.

30.) 15 Jul 2017 16:05:52
Err, that wasn't based on one game UTF, they were saying that based on the whole season, I think they had seen him play more than once:) this was with a handful of games left to go brainiac.

If you chat to people you may actually learn things:)

31.) 15 Jul 2017 17:54:09
At least redrascal understands the plot, read and learn .
Just saying.

32.) 15 Jul 2017 23:58:04
@Longeatonred yeah right especially with our record of transfers with Peterborough. Dream on pal.

33.) 17 Jul 2017 06:16:06
Footie fun it was said they wouldn't deal with fawaz again, now he's gone everyone will do business with us.

14 Oct 2016 12:16:22
The Daily Telegraph has said Nottingham Forest are close to the 50 million sale to a American Consortium. If so let us hope the Americans have the best of intentions, hopefully we will get to know more about them before the completion of the possible sale.

Tomorrownevergetshere

1.) 14 Oct 2016 13:49:11
They all start with the best of intentions.

2.) 14 Oct 2016 14:28:19
If it's a consortium, surely they'll put people in place with experience and expect a return for investment. Got to be better than being treated like a spoilt brats toy.

3.) 14 Oct 2016 14:52:39
I'll be glad when the new investment is in place, and Fawaz put on a leash, so we can start concentrating on the actual football for a change. It will be interesting if/when Britt comes back, and other injured players, just where we will be, come the winter transfer window. Fawaz's recent antics can't help the manager or the players. We know Fawaz wants the investment, so no need for demonstrations tonight. Be nice to see a decent crowd, getting behind the team. Coyr.

4.) 14 Oct 2016 17:16:52
Agreed NWA, I keep saying this! Clean sheet please! (And a win of course)

5.) 14 Oct 2016 17:38:02
Rogie Red You should never put your dirty laundry out in public, so clean sheets are always good.

6.) 14 Oct 2016 19:25:51
The road to relegation and financial ruin are always paved with best intentions! If I'm honest I can't see what the appeal to buying us is, unless you're a mega rich fan. Maybe the risk of reaching the Premier League is irresistible to them. Trouble is no matter how much money you throw at it there's no guarantees and these owners get bored quickly and are quite happy to fcuk the club over to get a return on their abysmal investment. Can someone invent a time machine already and sort it out? Pick your spot (95 replace Stan with required quality, 97 don't let Scholar etc near our club, 98 don't sell Campbell behind Bassett's back which created the PVH crisis, 99 don't give Big Ron the job at all, 99 don't give Platt the job with all that stupid money to spend, 01 prevent the collapse of ITV Digital, 03 back Hart after play-offs, 03 give Harewood a contract he deserved, 03 don't replace Marlon1 for Marlon2, 04 sack Kinnear sooner, 05 don't hire Megson, 05 don't sell Dawson and Reid and replace with Melville, Powell and Friio, 10 sign Shorey and strengthen in Jan, 12 don't sack BD. version1, 12 don't hire McLaren, 13 don't sack SOD, 13 don't hire McLeish, 14 don't give BD. version2.0 unlimited power) . I'll stop there *sighs* Still at least the sky+ still has the 3-1 at West Brom!

7.) 15 Oct 2016 07:36:18
92-Sherringham to Spurs
Don't leave an alcoholic in charge of selling our prized assets
95- Pay Bohinen the extra £1k/week to buy out his sell on clause.

8.) 15 Oct 2016 08:06:59
92 Don't replace Sheringham with Rosario
95 Don't replace Collymore with Silenzi.

9.) 15 Oct 2016 11:03:24
all what if and maybes which every club as you can make a case for every club not just forest in these times in football your club wins on a Saturday and because of the internet its all forgotten about by Monday its all about the future.

23 Sep 2016 15:24:50
Signed Lewis Walters a forward, was released by Leeds some time ago.

Tomorrownevergetshere

1.) 23 Sep 2016 18:07:40
Where have you got this from?

2.) 23 Sep 2016 18:49:56
On a site called Vital Forest😎.

3.) 23 Sep 2016 19:32:06
He's playing for the U23s tonight.

4.) 23 Sep 2016 19:35:51
It was from Football Insider.

5.) 23 Sep 2016 20:10:10
He has just scored😎.

6.) 23 Sep 2016 20:18:35
Who with, is she pretty.

7.) 23 Sep 2016 20:24:56
Bit plump and bouncy⚽😎.

8.) 23 Sep 2016 20:39:33
A goer then.

9.) 23 Sep 2016 20:41:50
Well at least he can shoot straight .

10.) 23 Sep 2016 20:49:09
From the reaction of Leeds fans it sounds like we have signed a potential gem who did not get a fair crack at LUFC.

11.) 24 Sep 2016 17:07:04
Hope he doesn't play like Julie Walters!

12.) 24 Sep 2016 18:53:47
Nice one 😁😁.

22 Sep 2016 17:07:54
Henderson has a hip injury according to a journalist called Paul Taylor.

A hip problem.

Bendtner thinks diet is not important to a footballer, he has apparently said.

Tomorrownevergetshere

1.) 22 Sep 2016 18:38:49
Is Bendtner a Hip guy?

2.) 22 Sep 2016 18:51:49
Very funny bsered, i like that.

14 Sep 2016 19:16:08
So as we are strapped for Cash for 3 months we have gone and got a Grant.

Traore is playing tonight.

Tomorrownevergetshere

1.) 14 Sep 2016 22:30:18
Will Fawaz be able to pay the intrest as He has no Wonga.

2.) 15 Sep 2016 01:57:09
We have no players called by those names.

Have we?

3.) 15 Sep 2016 10:05:33
Tomorrow. If only he had said Assombawonga. Doh! ;-)

15 Jan 2017 19:10:28
Very few, if any of us wanted this outcome to the take over. The outcome however is what it is, and however any of us may feel we have to give whoever plays in the next game our full vocal support. I feel all the social media abuse of Fawaz however it seems warranted has just made him dig his heels in even more. The is bigger than any player, manager, or owner we should try and put our emotions to one side and hope that the club starts to turn a corner for the right reasons, just because some people are have given up on the club we should not.

13 Jan 2017 12:09:47
Walker being recalled from Stevenage suggests our manager is on his way out, or loan players are leaving.

Tomorrownevergetshere

1.) 13 Jan 2017 13:05:11
Also Evtimov, Lacovitti, Erlandsson and two others all recalled.

2.) 13 Jan 2017 13:41:57
Doesn't suggest anything other than he's coming back, with a bunch of others.

3.) 13 Jan 2017 14:15:25
Get Etimov into the first team asap.

4.) 13 Jan 2017 14:40:41
or it could mean that any potential new owner or manager wants to see what cards he has at his disposal in his hands before he twists.

5.) 13 Jan 2017 14:50:42
Totally agree that someone wants a look at these players and it's not the current manager.

6.) 13 Jan 2017 15:05:45
The recall I want is Ward, a really silly loan deal IMO CARLO

7.) 13 Jan 2017 15:47:45
I do agree Carlo. a good, honest, hard working pro lost for a season. Hard to come up with any reasons for the loan deal-I can't imagine its financial? Maybe personal?

8.) 13 Jan 2017 16:09:52
I said that in an earlier post, 100% every time Jamie Ward.

9.) 13 Jan 2017 17:41:45
Nick26 Totally agree, when our manager has been playing some young players but kept Walker out on loan he clearly does not rate Walker. When the club seems to be close to being taken over Walkers loan does not finnish, but his season long loan has been stopped. That suggests a new manager could be soon being brought in. I would hope the new owners do not pick the team, only our manager, so i ca not see the owners recalling Walker for them to see how god he is.

10.) 13 Jan 2017 18:04:57
If there is a change of ownership maybe the new owner wants them back so he can deal with it his own way i.e maybe get better deals for these loan players or sell them.

11 Jan 2017 18:28:07
The take overs have been elongated with very little information, obviously the first did not work out but all the indications are the Americans will take over. Some people seem to be investing too many emotions into this take over. It is better for it to take longer, and be done right than be rushed only for the authorities to pick fault with it. We all want what is best for the club, but i think we have to forget the new owners spending in January, even if they get things sorted on Thursday.

Tomorrownevergetshere

1.) 11 Jan 2017 18:48:10
Better start planning for League 1 then.

2.) 11 Jan 2017 19:41:01
Lol have we not learnt by our mistakes from the last owner coming in splashing the cash patients stability and a good set up from top to bottom not throwing cash at everything 😎

3.) 11 Jan 2017 19:48:54
We do need a player or two though Skeg, without some fresh enthusiasm I fear for our prospects

4.) 11 Jan 2017 19:58:28
We need about 8 players for starters but this club ain't going to be fixed this season or next I'm hoping this deal go's through these new owners look like they know what there doing but it will take time and the last thing we need is another embargo through splashing cash on deadbeat's anyway no doom and gloom things looking up once the sale go's through 😎

5.) 11 Jan 2017 20:51:34
If the takeover happens it has to be without fawaz end of

6.) 11 Jan 2017 22:40:02
Well skegsjay has emerged from his cave at last. Agree with much of what he says there 😃

06 Jan 2017 19:28:16
Vaughan has been sidelined yet again, as good as he is when fit it proves he is not up to playing football regularly.

Tomorrownevergetshere

1.) 06 Jan 2017 19:57:11
Iv tried saying this and said this is why he can't play two full games in a week.

03 Jan 2017 14:11:51
People calling for the manager to be sacked is surprising, until the take over is either completed or fallen through nothing is going to happen. Should the take over happen then we just have to guess what their intentions are. There is no magic wand that is going to change the clubs fortunes quickly. If the take over fails we all will feel relegation will happen, as Fawaz is bound to continue undermining every manager he employes. So it will not matter who is the manager.

Tomorrownevergetshere

1.) 03 Jan 2017 15:17:28
Well said. No matter what manager comes in, they will fail under the current regime and also under the new one until the club is restructured from top to bottom. Sacking PM might make people feel better or slightly more optimistic but it's not the answer and the same vicious circle will continue.

2.) 03 Jan 2017 15:32:16
Yes let's keep him and get relegated and within 6 months have gates of 10,000.

3.) 03 Jan 2017 15:52:32
But he is incapable of getting the team to perform and gather enough points to stay up. A different manager may be able to. I agree we will never turn the club around for the long term while FAH is there but we should only look short term at the minute, championship survival. This manager and the performances he is overseeing and orchestrating will take us down. Someone else until the end of the season can surely do better, even if it's jack lester I feel he could improve the performances of these players.

4.) 03 Jan 2017 18:35:32
2star I can not say for sure whether or not PM is good enough, but his pedigree suggests he is. I can not argue with BD win ratio, but i will take a guess that under him the club spent at least triple the combined spend of Pearce, DF, and our present incumbent. Yes BD had us nearer the play offs than relegation but inspite the win ratio did we so much as to win one of the Johnstone Paint Trophy, or League Cup, let alone prmotion.

5.) 03 Jan 2017 19:25:38
ok, billy mark one, what did he spend then?

6.) 03 Jan 2017 21:47:50
If Billy was still here we would not have had Osbourne Burke cash and all the other young lads coming through the youth setup.
