I think we have added some physical players this year with Dawson Hef on defense Watson Colback mid field and Murph up top. We should be able to mix and match with both physical and ball playing teams

Know where your coming from Tony, don't think Grabban was the right choice against millwall with there Ariel power,Murphy would have caused them more problems and defended set peices.
At the moment it's better to watch us away,we play good stuff and control the game,at home it's hit and miss and we concede to many,if we can sort that out we'll be in the top two.
For me it's about sorting the home form out.

Tony I actually believe the quality and depth of our squad will be the difference compared to some sides as we move through the season.Once injuries and suspensions start to mount up we will be in a strong position.

3.) 07 Oct 2018 21:02:33
We concede too many? only 3 teams have conceded less than us this season but it’s a massive improvement on last season where we had conceded around 19 (13 this season) at this stage but you was ok with that.

I was looking on middlesborough banter page before and after the game before the game there fans were saying karanka will set is team up hard to beat if they got a goal early they would go on to win by 2 or 3 has he sets is team up to defend which as we know he usually does and was surprised on how many of there fans who supposedly like him thought is football was boring so bet they was gutted when we went on the attack and totally ran a riot over them as was I and comments after the game was bring back karanka pulis is useless grabban brilliant and assombongola needs to leave he's crap lol and there up higher in the league than us so we're not the only fans that differ in opinions on players and managers was funny to read though as would our site be you reds.

5.) 07 Oct 2018 21:37:42
I said we concede too many at home Sutton try reading?🤔

6.) 07 Oct 2018 21:56:50
He doesn't register before engaging is brain 79. 😁

7.) 08 Oct 2018 07:13:45
We’ve conceded 6 goals at home and had 2 clean sheets. So that’s a goal a game we let in. However if we continue this trend of 1/3 games are clean sheets then by the end of this season we will have 23 goals against and 7 clean sheets. That’s not a bad stat. As long as we score twice as many goals as we concede I’ll be happy!

We won guys?? Enjoy it!!
Have to "concede" my head's melted!!
😥😥😥

Karanka is showing he can mix it up within his favoured system. Unlike Pulis who drains the creativity out of a game and others who have only one style of play.

12 games in you can see that some of the early runners and riders are beginning to falter as teams work them out. We still have a few new options to play up to Christmas to keep us on the up and then we can review again as required.

The big squad will keep us in good stead over 46 games and no running out of steam come the last 10 games!

Onward & Upward

10.) 08 Oct 2018 20:52:48
West Brom and Leeds have both conceded 7 at home and Sheff u have conceded 6 same as us so we are level peggin with the top three.shocking isn’t it?

11.) 08 Oct 2018 21:06:02
Who cares we beat middlesborough and we're 5th were all about singing from the same song sheet at least for a week so let's enjoy Sutton nip tesco and get 4 Stella's and chill celebrate you redddsss

12.) 08 Oct 2018 21:48:42
Sutton we have only managed to score nine in those home games,so six against becomes a problem.
All I've said is the away form is good,it's the home form that's letting us down a bit,we don't score too many so can't afford to give goals away.

First time on here. Been an avid reader for years. I see the highs and lows on here when we win or lose . I think the vast majority on here want Forest to be winners and disappointment leads to frustration and some anger. I am no different being a Forest fan since they won FA Cup. Long long time ago. Forest can put you through an emotional roller coaster. Hard to stay even keeled. Facts to consider. First 6 games 7 pts. Last 6 12 pts. Takes the emotion out of it. Steadily improving.

Welcome. You make some good points, but for me your last two lines do not take into account the types of teams we have played in the first and second set of games you refer to.

Even AK has admitted he was surprised Middlesbrough did not play more direct as the team struggles against teams that play that way. Untill the team learn to cope against those teams we will remain inconsistent.

We played really well yesterday, we looked like the home team, which feels great but we are desperately in need of consistency.

I really hope the facts you mentioned continue to carry on the way we all want to.

2.) 07 Oct 2018 16:06:40
I agree consistency being able to play our game against all types of opposition. We played well against WBA Swansea Stoke and Middleboro who tend to play the ball on the ground. Possibly beating a team like Rotherham gives us hope against the long ball more physical teams

3.) 07 Oct 2018 16:37:48
Tony 56: last year Fulham had to grapple with the same problem Football V Hoofball, and it took time for the team to settle and begin to see how they could do it, so it is possible, may just take time.

4.) 07 Oct 2018 16:50:08
Seriously I reckon we are better setting up at home as if we are away and vice Versa, most teams come to the CG and try and bully us , like the Wimbledon and sheff Utd teams in the late eighties early nineties. Away from Carvalho and Dias could prosper far more than at home and might not feel and hear all of the moans and groans when they struggle to mix it physically . I do sympathise a bit with them because it’s not their game to be physical and for what ever reason we do let the opposition impose themselves on us at home.

5.) 07 Oct 2018 17:19:48
It still won't be good enough for some supporters, Tony.

6.) 07 Oct 2018 17:58:45
We set up as a counter attacking team for years under clough nothing new to ‘some’ supporters

7.) 07 Oct 2018 18:27:27
