Those nothibg games bring in revenue for th FA, they help the manager in his selection process, and they are there to gel the players as a unit.
I know it is very unlikely but if England won the European Championships, and or the World Cup, those nothing games would have contributed to that.
If a player plays well for his country his stock also goes up.

No not yet, but Paul Taylor said in a recent interview we are waiting for international clearance, and will be a formality.

Vellios came from Greece and therefore his international clearance was validated betweeen our FA and the Greek FA. Lam is coming from Holland and clearance will be subject to co-operation from the Dutch FA.
These two governing bodies may work in different ways and therefore timescales may be different. International clearance in general can take anywhere between a few days and a couple of weeks, there is nothing we can do but wait for the fuddy-duddies to do their job.

Im not sure but under the ffp rules i do not think you can do that, having said that even if it was possible the better they play the more likely they will end up with a different team beause we would not afford to buy them.

I believe the long term loanees (O'Grady and Oliviera) have a buy clause.
Think it extends to next summer, which if we can prove that we'll be under the losses (which we should be) then we can buy them.
