Well, we will never score goals because AK is defensive minded and we won't be entertained. need a new manager, be gone by international break.
Oh and fancy paying 6 million for a crap striker.
Some advocated patience . vindicated I feel.

1.) 28 Nov 2018 23:35:30
Yes, it looks like we have the defence sorted as well. lol

Rafik Djebboue to sign this week.

1.) Would be a great addition 39 goals in 56 games.

2.) Billy's back tomorrow

Last night I witnessed the best atmosphere at the City Ground for a long, long time especially the last 15 minutes when the fans got right behind the team to lift them and carry them through to win.
The banners in Trent End before the game were class.
So proud to have been there and the team.

1.) 26 Feb 2019 19:11:54
Would have loved to have been there mate. roll-on May!!!

Just looked at the first team squad for last years Arsenal cup game compared to yesterdays Chelsea cup game. Of the 27 man squad,19 have gone or out on loan.
Massive amount of work done by AK and for a reasonable amount of money.
This 20-25 million having been spent isn't bad in replacing so many . Especially half of it on one player.
AK has had to pick up bargains to fill places and make up numbers all be it better than we had.

League table last year we were 14th on 32 points, goal diff -9

now 7th on 39 points, goal diff +10
. I think we are making progress not spectacular but progress.

1.) 06 Jan 2019 13:03:24
Personally I think we have made a major step forward and progression.

With those 2 silly home losses to QPR etc and the draw @ Norwich we could be 6 to 8 points better off.

A few tiny adjustments and the rub of the green and who knows.

But compared to the Last bunch of seasons near the bottom of the table - I believe AK is taking this club in the right direction.

We probably are not ready for promotion but a play off place would be a remarkable achievement in my humble opinion.

2.) 06 Jan 2019 14:30:10
Meaty - good post although I’m sure warburton would say say he could have easily had another 8 points - they were the fine margins he spoke of.

One Area of progress I can see is the 5 points over Xmas , whilst still pathetic it’s less pathetic than recent seasons .

3.) 06 Jan 2019 15:33:47
Arsenal game 12 months ago was packed with academy players. If memory serves me right about 7 in total.
Under AK the academy has been binned and a lot of money spent. Some very poor signings as well.
We have progressed but in a disproportionate way in comparison to amount spent.

No home game for two weeks, no midweek games. Window open, owner present yesterday. Next week crucial to AK future whether we agree or not.

4.) 06 Jan 2019 16:49:23
I agree it’s crucial to his future. I don’t believe that the team should have consisted of Worrall, Brereton, Cash, McKay, Cummings, Smith, dowell Walker and clough as they just weren’t up to it, all ok prospects but not good enough to make up a large % of a championship team. I think AK has got it right persevering with cash. Grant won’t make it, Yates - can’t comment on him but I suspect not.

I wouldn’t have brought 5 season tickets personally had I have felt the club would continue to play so many academy players and youngsters on Ioan from other clubs.

I do agree though that the progress for the money spent is disproportionate and probably not sufficent - I think that’s a very fair point.

5.) 06 Jan 2019 17:23:34
I'd much prefer to have Smith in goal to pants,Worrall instead of heffle,He's wasted money on Watson, soudani,Heff, pants and the likes of janco goncalves Dias ansafarad are not as good as players he's released.
Time has come to buy quality not quantity and for no more Greek gifts from olympiacos.

6.) 06 Jan 2019 18:41:42
I don’t disagree with that

27 Sep 2018 14:14:25
Great game last night
Good football, plenty of goals, fantastic effort, great work rate and tackling.
On the negative side I think Figs and Bridcut tried too hard to play the fancy passes and got got caught out too often.
Grabban the very opposite to the rest of the teams effort. As a lone striker with only ten men, his job was to close down defenders with the ball to slow down the play and to hold the ball for as long as he could when he got it. He did neither and looked lazy. Such a shame when everyone else put such a great effort in.

1.) 27 Sep 2018 15:01:00
Dont agree with that on grabban he did hokd the ball up well and kept the ball well when he had it, you jave tp remember towards the end are defence and midfield was just hitting the ball as long down the pitch as the could. Ever player played well why can't you just be happy we won instead of trying to find fault with every player.

2.) 27 Sep 2018 15:27:43
Agree on Grabban, outshone by Murphy, granted playing Murphys game but if he wants to prevail here, Grabbans going to have to show some sort of appetite for the dirty work.

Grabban posted himself in a position where he was of no use defensively or offensively in a what looked like a ploy to avoid work, when we desperately needed someone to cut off the endless supply of bombs into our box.

Murphy at Blackburn please, infact Murphy anywhere where we'll rely on some graft to get it done.

3.) 27 Sep 2018 18:57:43
fault with every player ??????
Read the post mate
If you read my posts youll find i'm one of the rose tinted brigade

4.) 27 Sep 2018 19:36:21
Don't normally like to defend footballers when it comes to fitness but maybe a 4th game in 12 days having just returned from an injury lay off might have taken its toll on him.Three 90 min games and apparently not completely over his injury when he played against Swansea.

5.) 27 Sep 2018 23:56:39
Horses for courses, grabban is better suited against teams who are going to push up, not like Rotherham, also don’t think he can play up on his own

12 Sep 2018 18:26:09
Re all the signings I wonder if we got the early ones in just in case as they were available to make sure we had a competitive side, then as the the transfer window closed better players were left without clubs and we have gone for them.
So some of the early signings who are on loan anyway will be surplus come next May.
Just a thought.

12 Sep 2018 04:38:55
Maybe we need to look at the bigger picture with the signings being made.
We are signing players on the whole on loan or for free with one or two exceptions.
The players for free could be with us for now with a view to either getting a gem or selling them on in the near future, hopefully after enhancing their reputation. This would help towards FFP. This could explain Olympiacos terminating that contract and us getting a player for free. The owner is cute with business and experienced with the workings of football.

1.) 12 Sep 2018 15:14:55
It's getting embarrassing now though anyone linked with football is saying is laughable with our signings

2.) 12 Sep 2018 16:33:03
Surely krankie can see the embarrassment caused completely over the top with so many signings. It smacks of desperation from a man already fearing for his job. As much as we'd all like to see it work I'm afraid I can only see it going one way which feels me with sadness.

3.) 12 Sep 2018 17:03:54
Ive not heard that james who have you heard it from ?

4.) 13 Sep 2018 00:20:38
James. All the social media rags are just recirculating twitter and forum moans from the vocal few and spinning it.

Our actual first team squad numbers are no larger than in the past and other top Championship sides. We should be reassured that we have got strength in depth as for as long as I can remember our team has run out of gas after March!

The Super Leeds that have lost to Preston, Blackburn, Hull, Birmingham, WBA and should have lost to Forest

Not many big hitters there
They do seem to scrape wins by the odd goal to be fair

Lampard inherited a team that had been in play offs last few seasons not one fighting relegation

Agree the manager has made some mistakes but don't we all.
Looking at the whole picture we are inconsistent.
Looking at our results against the leading pack in the division,
we drew but should have won with Leeds
1 point from Norwich from both games should have been 3
drew with WBA
beat Sheff UTD
beat Midboro
drew with Derby

So what i'm saying is we are a good side , losing just once to the cream teams , yes we are bang average at home but we are still so much improved on last season.
We are getting there all be it slowly.
Forget last season and bringing the stats in its this season that counts. Last season was all about survival ,this season is about making play offs and we aren't far off.

all managers are puppets to the owner and all managers have their favourites. .that's why they sign them.
Just saying

T Dog and Psycho I totally agree
When you look at our league positions over the last few seasons and how many games we lost , how can some on here say there's no improvement. To be honest its anything but boring being a Forest fan at the moment not knowing how they will play from game to game.
They just keep you guessing

A bit harsh on Swansea, a good footballing side that just lack cutting edge and have a defence like we had 12 months ago that can't defend crosses.
If you look at stats they have more possession than everyone they play including WBA which they totally dominated at the Hawthornes but but got beaten 3-0 and Man City only just scraped past them in cup.
So really a great result against a good side

From what I saw, Grabban was well off the pace. Anticipated nothing and was never first to a ball, though have to say the passes to him were dire. For a big lad that looks athletic he has no toughness about him or physical strength in challenge. He is also very poor at challenging defenders in the air. Murphy has all these attributes but is less mobile. I think Grabban is going to need a few games to regain the sharpness.

Totally agree, these cheats are killing the game.
My summary of the game
No penalty to to them
we should have had a penalty
every plater worked for the team but Osbourne was outstanding. For a little guy he really was not intimidated by their giants and got stuck in with plenty of last ditch tackles and tried his best to out muscle them.
If only Grabban had put away that golden chance.
still a good result

Grabban outstanding bar penalty. He single handedly occupied/bullied the 2 centre halves and created his goal from shear strength and endeavour. my only complaint was the constant big boot out of defence, usefull sometimes but not all the time. Brentford a good side with 3 or 4 Lolley type players

Players that put their body on the line and get injured should be appreciated. Nobody wants to get injured but if your brave in combat it happens.

All this rubbish about certain players being injury prone doesn’t make sense. I think you will find those players that do t get injured are the ones that go missing in action
