Why it is being said that Paul Taylor isn't good enough for the squad is stupid. The reason we havnt signed him is because DF has been waiting for McLaughlin to go so it frees up another slot in the squad of 24 we are allowed. If we had signed Taylor and McLaughlin didn't go we would have literally no space to bring in any strikers!! I rate Taylor he did well pre season and put in a good shift for the u21s on Monday!

Are strikers there to just put a good shift in?we need a striker that scores.you can't rely on the midfield scoring.if Taylor is all we can look forward to as our striking option it's going to b a long old season.

We do not know who, if anyone will come in other than Taylor. Even if the window closes, there is always the loan market.

The fact is that we may have to have someone like Taylor because of the mess of FFP. His busy style of play might help us until Britt is back. I think DF and FAH are doing the best they can. We are NOT going to get some big name Striker, so forget it.

What I'm saying is dare he is carp and won't score any goals,do we really need him even if we do have 1 space left?df says he wants quality and not just any player but Taylor is still with us as a last resort,I would rather save the cash and have a place spare and play a youth kid.

Did I miss something was he banging them in in pre-season? Seems an average player at best we have enough of them on the books already that we need to get rid of

I'm with uptheforest on this one. Taylor sounds like another Simon Cox. Yes, it's great having all that effort, but we need someone that can actually score goals. Taylor's record is pretty poor.

I do not know how true it is, but i have read he can play multiple positions, so can cover different people when suspended, or injured.

Freedman suggests Forest need three attacking additions so Taylor would be feeding at least one goalscoring striker rather than being expected to score 20 goals a season.

For the last 5 days Iv heard a number of rumours about different strikers coming to the club, why don't we all forget about it until something realistically happens and back the players we have now. Everybody is doubting us including our own supporters. Just look at Bournemouth!!

Because we haven't had much to talk about this pre season, of course it's going to spark interest and rumour. I think it's great, and can't wait for the player to be revealed. If it doesn't happen, so be it.

These players might not be confirmed as of yet but don't forget the loan window opens again next week so these players are a big possibility.

If MA stopped playing for us then he will do well in the prem because he ripped Cardiff apart in the second half if that's him not playing then west ham are in for good times lol

Yeah and there probably right in saying he wanted away in some ways ie money and better football but the fans should not blame him for that. People need to start putting themselves in his position and then comment. I'm sure certain players will get stick that don't particularly deserve it this year your right!!

Let's face it football is one big buisness if every player stayed at a club for the supporters, like any other buisness u cannot better yourself. MA wants to play prem football and earn better wages which in my eyes is fair enough as u have to think football players retire in there 30,s in most cases and not many go into coaching or are involved in football after so who can blame him for wanting to take it in and play in a better league! Good luck to him and let's just keep backing the players we have.
