Fox given new 1 year contract. Makes sense but looks as if Dawson a non-starter if we buy Figgsy.

1.) 05 Apr 2018 10:13:36
To be fair figgsy is younger by a country mile, how long does Dawson have left in the tank?

2.) 05 Apr 2018 10:57:09
Figueiredo is a must for me

3.) 05 Apr 2018 13:03:07
Really glad it's just for one year. Now let's see if his form continues now he's got his contract.

4.) 05 Apr 2018 19:09:19
What's the situation regarding Fuentes? Could he be given a go between now and end of season.

5.) 06 Apr 2018 20:35:36
I did read somewhere that we had an auto buy clause if he played so many games, and that he could hit that figure before the end of the season

16 Mar 2018 15:33:04
We appear to have 2 trialists playing in the under 23s game today V Huddersfield, along with McKay who has already scored. Are they trialing for the U23s or for the First Team I wonder?

1.) 16 Mar 2018 19:39:02
Does anyone know who they are, and if they are attached to other clubs.

2.) 16 Mar 2018 19:39:58
Could be two 36 year olds !

16 Mar 2018 15:20:05
Alex Cowdy from Blackpool our new club Secretary?

05 Feb 2018 17:11:53
Watson signed today.

1.) 05 Feb 2018 18:31:25
The worst secret ever, what held it up, does anyone know?

2.) 05 Feb 2018 18:53:30
Roadworks between junction 23 and 25 M1?πŸ˜‰

3.) 05 Feb 2018 19:12:54
I thought all footballers travel by helicopter 😁 😁 😁

4.) 05 Feb 2018 20:28:02
Some of ours travel by Ambulance πŸš‘πŸš‘πŸš‘

5.) 05 Feb 2018 21:02:22
RR with some of ours they probably have their own paramedics following them almost everywhere

6.) 05 Feb 2018 22:13:36
Some would need a sickness pill to travel in one of them rogie.

7.) 05 Feb 2018 23:14:55
They all seem to suffer travel sickness when it comes to away games over the last few seasons.
Should take note of the travelling red army,no matter how sick we get of some of the performances we still turn up in our thousands.

8.) 06 Feb 2018 05:32:24
some get ill once they get on team coach, knowing they got to earn there pay

04 Feb 2018 15:46:08
Watson to sign Monday 2.5 year contract.

1.) 04 Feb 2018 19:21:28
Christ our team will all be ready for the darby and joan club by the time contracts are up. Watson, Murphy, Gedi, is the goalie on loan or was itba freebie, Dawson if he comes !!

2.) 04 Feb 2018 20:39:25
Don,t panic ,Don,t panic they Don,t like it up em !
There,s many a good tune blah blah blah !

3.) 04 Feb 2018 21:11:19
Midfield looked far better against Fulham. Much tougher and we soaked up a lot of possession from Fulham. Missed chances from cash and Vellios cost us, also denied a stone wall penalty on Brereton. Positive signs at forest

4.) 04 Feb 2018 21:28:44
Watson and Guedioura are only 32! That isn't old is it? Hope not, anyway we will be in Prem just as there contracts are up, perfect timing πŸ˜‰

5.) 04 Feb 2018 22:27:33
Pantilimon is only 30 a prime age for a keeper.

Good balance of youth and experience for a promotion push next year and recycle again if we go up.

6.) 05 Feb 2018 08:10:02
Read my text again. i said when their contracts are up. as in finished

7.) 05 Feb 2018 14:02:34
We'll be ready for derby! That's all I'm bothered about.

8.) 05 Feb 2018 14:13:46
They will still be able to do a job at the end of their contracts or if we need to recycle they can be sold early to go down a league to secure a longer contract?

9.) 05 Feb 2018 15:41:41
Anyway compared to the cheating lightweights i have to watch over here i'd be happy with any of them

Glad Bridcutt got a goal. AK giving Lichaj and Mancienne a chance - neither have taken it so maybe they'll be gone in the summer. Vellios will certainly be gone too. We have the spine of a team but more quality players needed. Interesting to see who'll be given a chance V Barnsley.

21 Apr 2018 16:59:01
Barnsley lost today. They cannot reach us now so we are completely safe. I will sink some alcohol tonight!

1.) 21 Apr 2018 17:09:56
Surely you weren’t worried after last week you could have sunk a few last week

2.) 21 Apr 2018 17:15:11
If only we,d got better things to celebrate!

3.) 21 Apr 2018 17:34:41
Nice to see the sheep lose and britt score the winner happy days mr g rowett must fear for his job 😊

4.) 21 Apr 2018 18:31:59
Celebrate beating warnocks team tonight I can't stand the bloke 3,-1 the reds

5.) 21 Apr 2018 18:50:00
If we are safe,I hope we give it some anyway, Cardiff still chasing second spot!!! I'd be happy with a draw!!!

21 Apr 2018 09:12:16
Good news on Figgy, but let's hope we don't buy Dawson, we have enough Centre Backs now.

1.) 21 Apr 2018 18:30:47
But how many good centre backs?

20 Apr 2018 13:54:23
Tomlin can't be in the team tomorrow.

1.) 20 Apr 2018 20:23:42
Ward can’t be In there’s either

2.) 20 Apr 2018 21:31:41
Nor traore.
Best news is tomlin we might stand a chance with some pace to replace him.
Be good to leave colback and pants put as well.
Have a look at Greek goalkeeper as he's our player put Bridcutt and cash in,
Be disappointed if he sticks with colback to end of season, serves no purpose.
Like skeggs said stick appiah on the bench and give him 15 mins it's a boost for young players to think the manager will give them a chance.
Same with edser, you get enough subs these days

15 Apr 2018 19:10:14
I went to the game against Ipswich so this is my take on it: up until they scored both teams played the same kind of football and looked indistinguishable. We almost got caught out at the beginning of the second half when they came at us - if we had let another goal in then that would have been curtains.
Figuerido was outstanding and so was Fox, they saved us when the DMs could not. Watson had a bad day and nothing he did went right; the team played much better with more fluidity as soon as Bridcutt came on and he seemed to life the side. Colback looked clumsy, and though Guediora tried hard he did not have the pace - Cash should have been on earlier, but did little when he did come on.
The goal was not Osborn's fault, and I think he had an outstanding game. For long periods he stood alone out on the left wing and it took usually two passes to get to him and consequently Ipswich had time to cover him. To my knowledge Darikwa only once tried to get past their left back, and his approach play lacked any form of speed or guile - Cash didn't help him much when he came on. Pants didn't have too much to do but let the players know what he wanted them to do and shouted lots of encouragement. Lolley was the best player on the park, prepared to run at the defence and his goal capped a brilliant performance. Tomlin ambled about and fell over his own feet a lot - Osborn would have been much better in that position with pace to get into the defenders. Brereton worked very hard with little or no support, but the goal will give him encouragement and he made Lolley's goal, so early but hopeful days from him. Vellios looked weak and did not bustle or put himself about at all, he seems too gentle a lad to cope with Championship defenders.
Get in a good left back with some height and put BennyO behind the BrenGun and we'll have a much better team. It won't need a lot to make us more effective next season so we can get into the top Ten. If Cash can improve on the right hand side we will be more effective. From what I've seen and heard lately Dowell has blown his gaff so I wouldn't expect much more from him. I'd like us to give Cardiff a shock and steal a point, Barnsley and Bolton we can beat if we turn up.
It took us 84 minutes to turn up this weekend and the players realised the fans were drifting off after seeing another pedestrian performance. Funny how they all rushed back to the gap at the Trent end once they heard the big roar, the police and stewards holding them back! It's not over till it's over!

1.) 15 Apr 2018 21:33:12
Absolutely spot on bsered I agree with all of this. We have an excellent manager who has used what he was able to obtain in January and used those resources well to rescue us. Ben B, Osborne & Cash are or will be very important to our club . Fox and Fig played well but I still worry that the defence is somehow not right even with Colback and Watson in front still we seem to leak goals but I am not sure of the solution. let's hope against Cardiff we play to win the game and infact end the season un beaten in 5 ! Also never leave a match until the 'fat lady blows that whistle'

2.) 15 Apr 2018 21:40:04
Quality fullbacks are a must for next season bsered. They make a massive difference at both ends of the pitch.I also think it would be a bad move to blow the budget for Colback. If he wants to join on massively reduced terms and a sensible transfer fee great if not I'd be happy to give Bridcutt or Guedioura a go.Brereton needs to be used off the bench at the right times supplementing a couple of new strikers to continue his development.I actually fancy us to win a couple of the last 4 games.

3.) 15 Apr 2018 21:54:19
It's always amazed me over the years, even when we were winning everything how people leave with 10 mins to go,just to get to their cars and make a quick exit?
It's like watching a film and missing what happened or disappointing the missus and nodding off.

{Ed003's Note - that reminds me, how is Mrs Forest79 ? }

4.) 15 Apr 2018 22:12:52
Doing fine edd or Blondie as we affectionately call her has come through her opp very well and is "out of the woods" and back on form.πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

{Ed003's Note - great stuff, all the best.}

5.) 15 Apr 2018 22:23:05
Cheers edd was worrying times, but took plenty of time off to look after her, business is up and running again, health before profit.

6.) 15 Apr 2018 22:30:47
Excellent news 79 πŸ‘

7.) 15 Apr 2018 22:31:19
I’d be happy to see darikwa and lichaj go and get Gunger back who should never have been sold in the first place. Best rightback for years

8.) 15 Apr 2018 22:43:43
Cheers perks knew you loved me really.
Don't be too nice though spoil the banter?.πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

9.) 16 Apr 2018 03:34:29

There are Accounts, and there are "other accounts" and there are always "hidden" accounts where bills and outgoings may not come in for a long time after they were first created, and not everyone might know about them.

Hutchinson and Fleming don't look like 1st Team material to me; if they came they would join the U23s I think.

AK knew Manc was no captain and brought in Watson to do the job, the injury was a bit of luck for him. Manc's a possible transfer in the summer, a pity because there is a good footballer in there somewhere.

It's more lazy journalism. I shouldn't think he is even in AKs mind at all.

Too lightweight, easily knocked over, doesn't get back and tackle, no real pace. Only plays as attacking midfielder. Can create things but too much of a luxury.

There has to be some kind of radical change in the Forest side if we are going to win, either mentally or physically, and with Mick gone their players will get the "new manager" bounce and be doubly out to impress. A point would be helpful, but I'm not over-optimistic now even this defence is letting in goals and we have no attack.
