1.) 08 Sep 2018 00:05:15
You never know as it is the 'climax" of his career 🀣🀣🀣

2.) 08 Sep 2018 09:19:43
I think big Yayas arrival would herald the climax of AKs managerial career

3.) 08 Sep 2018 16:07:43
Maybe it's the second coming!

4.) 08 Sep 2018 17:56:47
haven`t you lot got anything better to do than moan we have only played a handful of games in the hardest division in the world

5.) 08 Sep 2018 23:16:56
Well I renewed my season card for Β£470 and still having to tune in to itv to watch the "x factor"πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

6.) 09 Sep 2018 02:54:41
Feeling hard done by then ff?

7.) 09 Sep 2018 08:49:48
I'm 36,dodgy knee,not played in a couple of seasons,can play holding mid
Do you guys think AK would be interested?
Thinking 40k a week should cover my wages.
Posting my CV on to the city ground now.
Onward and upwards ;)

8.) 09 Sep 2018 10:21:09
I'm 53,and can play "Sweeper" (remember that term??)
I'd be like Rudi Kroll!!!

9.) 09 Sep 2018 10:43:34
Lol both of us are over the 35 mark, perfect signing for AK :)

10.) 09 Sep 2018 15:49:53
Dear Mr.Karanka,
I’m 45, can speak a little Spanglish. I also played as a defensive midfielder at a Semipro level. I’m also asthmatic but I’ll run my legs off for Β£10,000 per week. oh, I also forgot to mention one leg is shorter than the other, but I could run rings around the opposition. Plus i wear Mr. Magoo glasses these days so I may give the ball away at times.

I look forward to hearing from you for a trial.
Kind regards,
Fawazs bank balance.

P.s. Do you ever give orders to your players whilst on the touch line and do you go to Topknot for your hairdo?

11.) 09 Sep 2018 16:51:20
Hilarious mate!!!

12.) 09 Sep 2018 17:07:13
I was top striker in my last team. Pretty sure I could do a job. Only snag is I’m 49 now and team was Jesse Boot junior school. I’m sure they still rate me.

13.) 09 Sep 2018 22:56:33
Rogie Red, sweeper my position 2. Franco Baresi my inspiration but luckily I had a bit of Des Walker's pace to make up for my footballing limitations. 51 now and still tempted to get fit for 1 more season in the Liverpool Vets League. Luckily no one will have me.πŸ˜πŸ‘

14.) 10 Sep 2018 13:03:04
Had a bit of pace aswell mate, for someone who's 5'5" I could leap like a Salmon!!! (And no,I didn't play like one lol!!)
Some of the young guys I work with go on about "3D pitches",their yellow boots, rub downs by their physio's etc. they even said they never use Deep Heat,as they "hate the smell"???
That smell meant everything to me!!! It really got me buzzing for the game ahead.
Those were the days 😟😟😟

15.) 10 Sep 2018 15:57:44
I am 53 and the only sweeping I can now manage is the patio!

16.) 10 Sep 2018 16:42:45
Same here!!!

17.) 10 Sep 2018 17:51:55
Rogie, embrocation! Now that stuff stank. 5'7.5" and I got the ugly centre half to win the headers, I swept up the rest. It's left me with my good looks too.πŸ˜πŸ‘

18.) 10 Sep 2018 19:31:41
Β£20 to watch a Championship football match in the box seats and still some are complaining?

04 Sep 2018 21:55:33
Good night for our loanees ,will any of them get a chance to have a career with us no matter how well they do?

1.) 05 Sep 2018 00:57:11
Most of them are doing well in lower leagues though

2.) 05 Sep 2018 07:02:19
Some might have a chance of a career with us but only if we are relegated!

3.) 06 Sep 2018 00:02:23
All they can do is keep playing well and scoring and hope the manager gives them a chance before hiring dads army.πŸ€”

22 Aug 2018 14:12:24
Guess what ,were reportedly intrested in a M/F player ,
Seems money no object to AK .

1.) 22 Aug 2018 15:35:36
Must think he's a better player than the 13 million pound man or better than the other 11 midfielders we have. 😁

2.) 22 Aug 2018 19:57:24
Skegs, please get with the programme.

There are 4 more targeted to come in and 4 from the current squad go out on loan in addition to those already told they are not in the squad.

There has clearly been an under achieving mindset from previous regimes which has to change.

So there is no point on setting short deadlines for success as it will take time to build over the first half of the season. No rose tinted specs just reality, hard work and positive not negative fan support!

Onward and Upward

3.) 22 Aug 2018 22:55:28
Lol red πŸ™„ I'm not asking for a deadline to success but but to a bit of progression would be nice with all the money he has been given also I still can't believe you're blaming the managers before after whole new team plus bought in by Mr chosen one and just because some of us don't bow and throw roses at the feet of the chosen one and don't always agree how does that make fans negative just reality and stating the obvious 😜

28 Jul 2018 23:19:26
Saw two Forests today, the Portugese one played with Finesse, then the English players came on with a more physical approach, which one is the way forward in the Championship in an English winter?

1.) 29 Jul 2018 08:59:59
I saw one Forest today playing good football with a good blend of hard work and flair very positive performance

2.) 29 Jul 2018 09:27:25
A combination of the two.

3.) 29 Jul 2018 11:00:37
We play with the style and mix it up that Wolves did last season, we have got the squad!

Who would have thought two years ago the fans would be singing Danny Fox Danny Fox ,.

1.) 22 Sep 2018 21:22:19
Played him in his best position. Simples.

2.) 22 Sep 2018 21:31:30
Carlo, he was just amazing today / fully deserves his moment in the limelight

17 Sep 2018 17:47:24
Another Monday night without match talk ,who,s idea to take it off ,Colin Fray so no one can critisie Forest ,wish he would but about as much chance as two up front!

1.) 17 Sep 2018 18:02:04
Radio Nottingham sport is a joke mate

17 Sep 2018 15:46:15
I,m getting worried, keep finding myself agreeing with 79 ,l remember when I thought he was UTF ,which one of us is mellowing?

1.) 17 Sep 2018 17:08:24
I just say it as I see it Carlo not bothered about winning a popularity contest.
I sometimes wonder what game some have watched?
Makes me smile when posters stick up for karanka, but tell us how bad all the others were before hi,despite the fact they all had better win rates.
It's because we need to gel ,apparently and he needs time, all I know is I've seen one good game in the championship under him out of thirty.
First time for many a year that I have no confidence in us getting a win.
It was a good point on Saturday and enjoyed the day out with the lads🍻🍻 but it will count for nothing if we don't capitalise on the two home games and get wins.

2.) 17 Sep 2018 17:27:42
Carlo Ff799 always makes perfect sense every single he posts! Did you not know that?

3.) 17 Sep 2018 17:37:03
Warburtons incompetence has everything to do with Karanka, inheriting his show pony mentality condemned us to half a season abject football whilst the players were drilled in the art of defending. Karankas win rate is largely irrelevant so soon into a root & branch overhaul of the clubs approach & thinking.

This is the problem with the reactionary, bi polar type opinion that see's everything as "must win", there's no "must win" 10 games into a 46 game season.

4.) 17 Sep 2018 18:37:25
Cjay. Warburton has nothing to do whatsoever with karanka!
How many players has he signed and where are the players Warburton signed?
Preseason expectations were high regarding forest. Roll on to the present and only 1 league win?
I'd hardly call that progress would you?
You are either a fool or delusional to think Krankie is doing well!
He has had more than ample time to know what players are his best. But he stockpiles on midfielders and employs some strange decisions in past games.
Is the sign of a so called experienced manager?. No it shows lack of clarity to how he dictates his team and tactics.
You state a root and branch overhaul . OK he's done that but prior to his extensive acquisition of players he claimed he wanted a small squad but he's done the opposite.
He's put all his eggs in 1 basket to emulate wolves but it's not exactly going that way is it?
Saturday was a slight improvement and tomorrow's game will be crucial.
I can imagine your responce will know doubt defend karankas intentions on how good his etc but I'm sorry but he isn't the manager to make Nottingham Forest successful.
He's out of his depth and will crack under the pressure.
Give him enough rope πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

5.) 17 Sep 2018 19:10:37
I tell you where one of the players are fbb up front scoring goals for forest mate when he's aloud to play Murphy the bargain buy 2 grabban the 6 million dollar man nil lol 😁

6.) 17 Sep 2018 19:46:31
Delusional? anymore delusional than calling a championship winning manager out of his depth at a mid championship club.

Im happy to be objective, i'd say a lack of cover for a box to box Guedioura & an ill fated attempt at Soudani for Carvalho, other than that I don't see an issue with the line up or tactics given he's made substitutions to very decent effect.

Out of his depth? Do me a favour. Yet to hear a credible defence for cutting yet another manager off at the knees before he's got going. There has to be more to it than the football.

7.) 17 Sep 2018 20:31:38
He didn't win the championship they came second on goal difference it's a promotion on his cv not a championship.
Tactics are ok for away games imo,but not what I want to see at home,it's the reason we struggle at home,we lack pace go get behind the opposition and it's easy for defenders to police an isolated striker.

8.) 18 Sep 2018 00:05:54
Cjay. Cjay. I never mentioned anything about the line ups or the players at Manuel's disposal it's how he gets his teams to play I'm critical of.
If his style of play excites you that's OK your are no doubt easily pleased.
There's always going to be 2 sides in how fans respond to a manager.
Those for him and those against.
You can blow smoke up his arsenal if it makes you happy. You're entitled to do that.
If and when he fails your are also entitled to cry or do whatever it is. ? It's fine.
End of the we as fans see things from different perspectives.
You adore ak and how Goes about things I don't.
I personally think and I stand by my comments that senor karanka does not know how to get his team play.
Time is of the essence for him.
He needs to start winning. Pure and simple.
We don't expect much other than what he claimed he's capable of achieving.
Mr. Karanka start winning games.

16 Sep 2018 19:51:52
I,m sure most Forest fans deplore our revolving managerial door ,the club seem to make such poor choice and the men given the job are so inflexible, the last four have had their way of playing and just stick at as things go wrong .
DF wouldn,t let them off the leash,PM liked at least 6 changes per game ,MW played side ways and players out of position ,AK offers very little entertainment and signs player after player ,if only they,d just yield enough to appease US things mind end so much better ,but no on we go ,ploughing different but equally bad furrows.
Will we ever see our beloved team up against the country,s top sides again in the league ,I so long to see it but season after season,s end in disappointment, like a never ending bad dream!

1.) 16 Sep 2018 20:30:35
why Don’t you put your name forward for the next time the job comes up Carlo.pretty sure you would do a cracking job with all the ideas you have.promotion would be a guarantee and we would all be happy.100+ goals on a season a squad of only 18 players keeping the costs win isn’t it

2.) 16 Sep 2018 20:39:42
My goodness Carlo.

Whatever we think about managers at a given time it does not mean that they should appease us, there are too many fans with differing opinions to appease.

Managers should be more flexible in their approach, they should play to their players strengths, and not swap and change players like disposable nappies but they are not employed to appease fans.

3.) 16 Sep 2018 20:50:53
Carlo that's a great passionate post my friend and so very true,In that when a new manager comes in,yes he has a style he wants to play, but sometimes the tools aren't there immediately to play that way, flexibility is something lacking in all of them,if they'd have showed it who knows?
Great post Carlo .πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

4.) 16 Sep 2018 21:25:02
I am sorry to disagree Carlo, we have a very poor reputation for sacking managers and I agree sometimes an apparent poor choice. There are so many examples of managers appointed and a season spent getting the team to play together before success . Fulham being an obvious example. Other teams such as the sheep down the road have changed their manager almost as much as us yet still have maintained a top ten position in the championship for several years. Leeds were the same. AK we should support and especially the players. The team against Swansea was probably one that all of us on this site would have picked and yes I expect a win this Wednesday and Saturday and I believe that is what we will get

5.) 16 Sep 2018 21:31:17
Managers are inflexible I think because they have been successful with their methods elsewhere so naturally they expect the same results again with the same tactics, but I think over time the game changes slightly, players Change slightly and even the rules of the game can change a little, and their methods are no longer quite so effective

6.) 16 Sep 2018 22:34:32
What we need is a manager with humility not someone who is stubborn and rigid in his approach. I hope and pray that Aitor Karanka has the potential to become that man. YOU REDS!!!

7.) 16 Sep 2018 22:53:17
Doc you have more confidence than me mate, the side he put out against Swansea will go on to another none scoring run my friend,it just has no goals in it,not interested that Osborn should have scored,he's not a goalscorer and neither are the rest of them, except grabban, but if you don't create, you don't score.
Said yesterday at the game a neutral would have turned off or left at half time, the current bun seems to agree it was a boreπŸ€”

8.) 17 Sep 2018 08:33:54
To be honest managers 10 a penny nowadays if you don't do your job then adios someone else will as I've said before it's business 2 easy games coming up should be 6 points and a start to the season had results and we could be in bottom 3 by weekend good results we could be top 8 over to you karanks

9.) 17 Sep 2018 11:22:52
Our manager always comes across as being humble in media interviews and has confirmed that he has taken on players ideas in team meetings to tweak the system.
This is hardly the trait of a manager lacking humility?
Managers have to have a clear strategy to manage and the players have bought into this. Taking on everyone's collective ideas is hardly a recipe for success?
Managers lead, followers follow and lost sheep fall by the wayside!
Onwards and Upwards

10.) 17 Sep 2018 12:27:11
Redinexile a 1st on here I agree with you !managers have got to follow their own path too many opinions only cause confusion

11.) 17 Sep 2018 16:24:57
I agree Stevie. Too many cooks and all that.

15 Sep 2018 12:28:33
Most managers have players in their team that they don,t particularly like personally but it,s still their job to get the best out of them ,not sure if AK does this from bits I,ve heard!

Wards 57 appearances have come mainly over 2seasons because he spent such a lot of time sent on loan .
When in the team nobody could fault Wards hard work and commitment which you can,t say about everybody in football.
When referring to the bomb squad he means the players who have been bombed out and possibly not given a fair crack of the whip .
If all players put in Wards effort most fans would go home satisfied, that,s the one thing they all should give !

Most people from inside football seem to think that the squad is too large ,yes you need cover but do you need squad members who are probably never going top play , common sense says a smaller squad would create a better spirit ,it,s just human nature .
