Pearce dropping huge 'nod' to wanting Bamford on loan. in NEP.

ghostman71

1.) I am sure he is Nodding to a lot of players had would like on loan!

2.) It just said on leeds v boro commentary that very strong rumours bamford going boro

3.) I have heard that it's almost a done deal that he's going to boro

4.) 16 Aug 2014 17:46:43
Watched him in the under 21s versus man city and didn't look that exciting IMO. Could bring in better.

5.) Bamford did really well in a decent sheep team last season; he should therefore be even better in a verey good Forest side. The point though is, do we need him? Will he make us a better team like he did the sheep? Would he want to come to back just because he came to watch us?

Leigertwood (?) is injured according to OS. is he normally injury prone (I don't know that much about him, other than he's 31 or so)?

ghostman71

{Ed034's Note - he did it during the warm up at ilkeston

1.) Should fit in well at Forest.

2.) 15 Jul 2014 09:21:39
Ye he just recovered from a long term injury at the back end of last season.

3.) Didnt he play against ikleston anyway?

{Ed034's Note - no. was due to play the first half and got inured in the warm up

4.) What are your thoughts about it ed?

{Ed034's Note - returning from an injury but is a good player, good experience and i would welcome him, as long as he doesnt spend more time on the treatment bench than on the pitch

5.) Don,t think there,s room for him on our treatment table at present, last I heard it was already full! CARLO

SSN (Transfer Centre, about 6. 30am) reporting that Pochetino (?) is looking to young British talent, and hoping to lure Lascelles to White Heart Lane.

1.) 06 Jul 2014 17:19:43
Even in their pomp forest were a selling club, nothing has changed, take the cash and re invest in the youth system. It has produced far too little of late for what it costs the club.

2.) Well owd Pinocchio better have very deep pockets

Talk from the Nottingham rag is that SP is interested in Matty Fryatt. Thoughts? (Personally not too keen. )

ghostman71

1.) Not sure how he thought, need a twenty goal a season man and got to Matty Fryatt.

2.) Proven goal scorer at ch level. What's not to like?

3.) I think we have to remember where this story came from guys (nep) I doubt very much as if SP would tell them who he is untreated in bringing to the club. probably a slow news day so they made something up to fill some room on the sport pages.

4.) He ran his socks off for Hull against Arsenal, even Tim Sherwood said He had impressed.

5.) Tim Sherwood says a lot of things

6.) Matty Fryatt up top with Matej Vydra playing just off him.
Fryatt can hold the ball up, can score goals with both feet, and his head, while Vydra is quick and clinical.
He has just returned to Udinese after being on loan at wba, and was one of the best strikers I've seen, when he was at Watford and will score 20 plus goals in the championship.
I'd be more than happy with these two.

7.) I agree entirely with samtheman. Plus, Fryatt did try his guts out on Saturday in a team that posed very little attcking threat after the 1st 15 mins.

8.) I really hope this isn`t true and that Pearce has better lined up.

9.) Nep said last week that pearce had declined to comment to them until he is officially employed on 1st july so this is speculation by nep again

10.) Just a coincidence that his name is mentioned so shortly after he has a good game in the final

11.) I think I would back Tim sherwoods views over Heisenbergg

12.) 19 May 2014 16:13:42
Hes not a bad player and a lot better than what we have left up front.

13.) Anything you read in the NEP is copied or pasted from someone else - I don't think they have even herd gone words investigative journalism or confidential source.

14.) If running your socks off all game constitutes having a good game then he had a good game. Looked overweight and slow to me.

15.) We already have players who "run their socks off". Agree with the Vyrda comment tho. Fits the bill and will compliment perfectly.

16.) Hope so, had injury problems, but proven goal scorer, and hard worker! Love him in a Forest shirt next season! Hope this ones true?

17.) Haha, bang on red fred - England will never win a world cup because we have far too many pros, ex pros, pundits and arm chair fans that all love a good engine on a player. Talent? what's that? Nah, we need more people that run around and run some more. Yeah, that's what we need.

18.) We defo need 'strikers' who do more than 'try their guts out' that's what everyone says Coxie does. well if they don't get goals etc we certainly don't want them. I've never warmed to MF.
i really think we need someone better and more skilful. we can already 'hold the ball up' but can't score (enough).

19.) If he signed he would be the best striker at the club! So of course a good signing!

20.) I think Fryatt has bags of experience and still knows where the onion bag is. As to another, Vydra. good shout, Sharp. if he really wants it. McCormack and Wickham and Rhodes, unrealistic and out of our price range.

21.) Not sure why everyone's kidding themselves he played well in the cup final. Average player and already past his best.

22.) I'd be much happier if we were being linked with the likes of Vydra and not Fryatt.

23.) I think the jist of any deal for pretty much any player is how he reacts to the club structure and the manager and coaches. the player being of great quality is not always the answer. it is my hope stuart gets the very best out of players that he has available. the finished article player wise is very expensive. old big head very rarely bought a shiny expensive player. and just recently neither did dyche at burnley.

24.) There is something in what you say - I've just watched the damned united again and it shows how he made and found good players. But it doesn't show the other side - Trevor Francis for example,

25.) That is true willow, occassionally it did happen and I am sure ed will correct me but shilton, fashanu, wallace, and peter ward all came to forest for considerable fees back in the day, but for the most part a good player was turned into a great one because brian and peter taylor were incredibly clever. I hope stuart can sprinkle a bit of that magic about next season.

26.) I think the original report in the Post was just lazy journalism tat other news reporting agencies have picked on. BD was interested I just don't believe SP is.
I don't think he is the type of player we need to move us forward. I can only see a proven goal scorer/s coming in.

{Ed034's Note - I don't think they would have written such a big story if they weren't sure.

27.) Fair comment Ed. i'm just not convinced that he is the type of striker SP will be looking at.
Time will tell

{Ed034's Note - why not? He will score goals and is different to what we have. He knows the league, will settle straight in and will be full of confidence after last seasons cup run.
He may not be that exciting Stan collymore signing, but that doesn't mean he won't do a job for us

I know this is a Forest rumours site ed, but just thought I would congratulate Carl 'Cobra' Froch on his superb win last night. after all he is a fellow Red and wore the emblem with pride! Cheers.

ghostman71

{Ed003's Note - take it to the boxing site please.}

Ed: are you permitted to voice your opinion on who you believe should leave the club, player wise? If you are, who would you like to see leave?

ghostman71

{Ed034's Note - certainly am. If like to see all those out if contract go along with radi, Harding, blackstock and abdoun.
To come on in from who we have on loan would be Vaughan (already done), fox (already done) and Peltier

1.) Can't argue with that Ed. Is Peltier out of contract at Leeds? Be good alternative to Fox at left back.

{Ed034's Note - no he has another year left on it

2.) Ed, if Fox stays he will end up an expensive bench warmer when SP realises how unintelligent a player he is, I will be man enough to admit I was wrong if he comes good, but I will more likely be saying"Told yoou"
And is the reason you want Abdoun gone because of the rumours of his wages and bust ups etc, or because you don't rate him, just wandering, I think we should defo keep him.

{Ed034's Note - i think fox will be a valuable member of the squad next season.
abdoun because he hasn't lived up to his billing, has rarely shown glimpses of his talent and has looked disinterested, has not been knocking down that managers door to play and because we could get more for the money we have paid for him.
if we get offered £1m plus for him, I would sell

I posted that we should be looking at securing his services permanently if he's available on the OS a week ago; very accomplished player and adds that extra dimension to the team. Hopefully we can arrange a permanent deal for him at some point in his Forest career.

Got to be honest and say I'm not really bothered to be fair. Don't get me wrong, Zaha is a decent enough player, but do we really need him? No, I don't think we do. And as others have already stated, I would prefer to splash the cash on getting Lansbury to accept a new deal, as he is easily on a par with Zaha - in fact, better if you ask me. Lansbury is a battler, and as tough as they come when it comes to tackling, and his footballing brain is almost unequalled in the Forest team; I would say Lansbury, Reidy and Cohen are our creative force, able to turn games on a dime and conjur something from nothing. So we don't need Zaha. just my two-penneth worth! Lol
