I'm going to put a different spin on things because the negativity is annoying me now.
Personally, before the season even started I thought we may start slow. We have been majorly struggling on and off the pitch for years now and things are not just going to get better overnight even with money spent. Instead of calling for sack the manager every time things get difficult, how about we get behind a manager for once and try and build something?

For me promotion this year is not a must, it's the toughest league in the world IMO. I been reading this site for years now and as soon as things get tough, you all call for a manager change!

I agree it's been shocking in parts so far and after the best part of 2 decades of suffering I understand how fans can get so easily frustrated.
But really do think we have to give him time to try and build something. We have had major surgery the last 12 months and just because we've spent a bit of money, people assume we will be right up there right away? Not going to happen in this league.

Let's build something because constantly sacking managers over recent years has got us nowhere!,

1.) 27 Aug 2018 00:38:41
While agree sacking managers doesnt always work, but give me one reason why karanka should be different?
His win rate is appalling
He's had more riches than any of his predecessors
So what makes him different and why do you think he can build anything ?
Just asking ?
It's not negative,it's just asking what he brings to the table that makes him special.
As a season card holder I can't see it

2.) 27 Aug 2018 02:41:38
Its not the forest fans in the main calling for promotion this year. Its the owner and even karanka. The players joining the club say its the aim of the club. Mkst of us just want to see improvement and attacking football on matchdays. The fans would not have sanctioned £13mill for a prospect with little first team experience. I get fed up with people calling some of our posts negative, when we just reflect on what we see. Good or bad most posters give an honest opinion. Brian clough said the only thing the board or chairman have to do is appoint the right manager. Twice we have over looked warnock. I will end it there!!!!

3.) 27 Aug 2018 07:40:44
Rutland I have Warnock from the Sheffield united days can't stand the bloke but can he do a good job would he have this team sorted by now hell yes I would put up with him just to see forest playing his way

4.) 27 Aug 2018 08:29:28
Completely agree.
Sacking managers does nothing except start the whole thing again. Have people not learnt from the Fawaz days?
What we need is stability and continuity if we want this time to be different, for the players to be given time to adapt and for the results to come, eventually.
Rushing in to sacking people ain’t good

5.) 27 Aug 2018 11:02:27
Karanka is awful tho! Can we get a decent manager and have stability! Won't forgive him for selling Brereton

6.) 27 Aug 2018 12:03:11
Karanka has only had those riches for 5 games, were not even out of August yet although we have only one once we haven't lost either.

Give the guy and the team a chance so many new faces it wasn't going to be champagne football from the start was it. Isolated fan has got it 100% right.

Apparently now when we score goals its lucky but when the opposition do its nailed on. You wouldn't want to come on this site if you were on the edge would you:)

7.) 27 Aug 2018 14:14:10
Statetheobvious How long has Lampard had with Direby? Still bagged more wins, goals scored and none of the resources AK has had. Early days or not AK completely unconvincing. He has been lucky we have bagged some draws. More luck than judgement. And to think the bread man had no plan b, I'm yet to see Karanka offer anything different. DF managed to create a tight defence with limited resources. I have always said 8 games and if no improvement move him on. Hard league or not, we should be looking at top 3.

8.) 27 Aug 2018 18:37:20
Leeds new manager has managed to get the team to gel quite quickly

9.) 27 Aug 2018 18:42:38
I just wish some fans on here just had 5 games on here to make some sense instead of blowing in the wind and bubbles.
Last season AK gave everyone including Brereton a chance and has chosen to change the squad further over the summer.

5 league games unbeaten and new players only just getting up to speed.
You will never know how good or bad AK is until matchday 46 so just wind it in and stop behaving like demented sheep!

10.) 27 Aug 2018 20:16:54
We never found out how warbo would have fared and he only had one transfer window and made a 10 million profit on transfers.
He had 22 games last season as well and took us from mid table to the verge of relegation and now holds the record for the worst run in our history.
How can we gel when he makes so many changes and that's when we are undefeated.
Last season he beat wolves we then list to hull he spat his dummy out and dropped loads and bought loads in.
Eric got sent off against Burton and that was the end of him.
No improvement whatsoever,we know how bad he can be that's in his win ratio and boring tactics.
We can't keep clinging on to the fact he got Boro promoted and that makes him a good manager,it doesn't.
He has to start winning games red surely you can see that??

11.) 27 Aug 2018 23:03:30
Your shares in Warburton are toast. Jason Cummings sums up your mate doing a storm in League 1.
You are clutching at straws with your stats. Last season was sorting out the dross which includes upgrading on Eric who does not release or close the ball quickly enough.
You are asking for injury trouble trying to play the same side for 3 marches in 8 days at the start of the season especially when some newbies did not join until late.
We have already had forced changes through injury so we were never going to hit the ground running.
Of course he needs to start winning games but calling him out after 5 league games is just ridiculous?

12.) 27 Aug 2018 23:34:47
It's not five games it's twenty seven .
Forced changes through injury??
Was lolley injured ?
Was Calvalho injured
Was Osborn injured
He had two injuries and made six changes and the only thing that is really letting us down and as a constant is the defensive partnership of figs and fox plus the lump of lard in goal.
Are you sure your not related to him as you have more excuses than a little and nothing to convince anyone this guy knows what he's doing

13.) 28 Aug 2018 22:34:45
Redinexile, you have it right mate, Hef and Byram came in late, Aitor didn't want to chuck them straight in for league games makes sense. The players will take time to adjust to each other for sure.

I've already said about patience, and as everyone else says, we're all entitled to our opinions but to be talking about chopping managers, slating managers and players this early in is an absolute joke, just my opinion. We need stability and time not the knee jerk reactions of old, I'm sure and hope all will come good.

We all want the same success but I guess that's the only thing we can all agree on these days:)

11 May 2018 23:15:46
I see a lot of people seem happy to sell worral for a good price. And while I agree 8-10 mill is a great price, I think we need to remember that centre backs develop later. Remember lascelles was pretty much 4th choice cb when he left us. Wouldn't mind having him now!
would personally love to keep worral even if he's not first choice next year (which he prob won't be)

1.) 12 May 2018 07:17:03
But if we need to sell to buy, Worrall is the most despensible of our youth. He's not that good and quality CB can be picked up quite cheap. Look at Figs for example, better CB than Worrall and cost a quarter of Worralls supposed value. BB and cash on the other hand, much harder to replaced a few seasons down the line if they meet their potential.

2.) 12 May 2018 12:34:52
I disagree I wouldn't contemplate selling any of the homegrown players other than grant as I believe we need them moving forward plus I believe a decent young center back is almost as valuable as a 20 a season striker

3.) 12 May 2018 12:41:22
B.B.? Surely not ? Can’t see it myself right now. He has zero attributes of great striker at the minute.

4.) 12 May 2018 15:13:45
Sorry redmash they are players we need once we have a stronger squad we can't afford that kind of value sitting on the bench till the club's finances are a lot better and we don't have to sell to buy

5.) 12 May 2018 18:59:47
Whether we like it or not every player has his price. There are too many factors embroiled within that prospective sale for us as fans to comprehend. All I would ask as a fan is that the money from the sale be spent wisely! Marriott anybody?

6.) 12 May 2018 22:09:28
2star,where was Harry kane when he was BBs age?

7.) 13 May 2018 00:41:30
Where B.B. should be gaz , no where near the first team. Sorry pal I can’t watch him week in week out and I’ve no doubt AK will have seen enough to know it too.

8.) 12 May 2018 23:58:01
In the pub having one 😆

9.) 13 May 2018 00:09:26
On loan to the likes of millwall I believe and looked nothing to get excited about.
Brereton is far better than you give him credit for.
When he takes a penalty you know where it's going and that's the sign of a goalscorer,Just need better players to supply him.
At nineteen and in a struggling side he's done well.
A lot on here wouldn't know anyway as they wanted vellios in and what a waste of space he is.
Or is it the system we play that makes them look bad??

10.) 13 May 2018 07:16:17
Defo he’s got bottle no doubt there. Now vellios is another matter and I’d be doing one straight down to the CG and demanding my money back for next season now if I thought vellios would be anywhere near the first team . I’d take Brereton over any of our other strikers at the moment. I just don’t believe he’s ready for that responsibility yet.

A bit like what I said about Osborn getting player of the year, it shows how bad we are one we’d say their performances are worthy of praise. It’s a biggger criticism of the other players around them actually.

11.) 13 May 2018 08:15:37
I'm not saying he's the finished article, he's far from it and is really frustrating in most games. But he is only 19 and we know the quality is in there somewhere, just look at what he did to arsenal. Now it's about getting that out of him consistently. He'll be a very good striker in the future I have no doubt.

12.) 13 May 2018 08:46:49
Well I’d be made up if he is because we’ve not had a consistent or for one for far too long now. The potential that was there when we had Antonio, Fryatt and assombalonga was mouth watering for that league until the curse struck again. I can’t shift my view that I’d osborn and Brereton is what we shout about right now then we are bad. Ben and Ben are average at best. It compounded if for me how bad we’ve been this season when Osborn had provided the most memorable performances of the season. It doesn’t mean I don’t like him or value his efforts, it does mean that the bar needs raising massively if we want to avoid the bottom six next season.

13.) 13 May 2018 09:38:19
If he had the right service he would score? Ha ha don’t make me laugh. He missed chance after chance in the last game. Tomlin sent him through on goal and he fumbled it , Tomlin was so annoyed he gave him a rollicking. Most of us on here would of scored given that service. We need new strikers and that glaringly obvious.

14.) 13 May 2018 10:41:40
Gazza red saying bb is only nineteen i'm old enough to remember trevor francis played in the first time and he was only sixteen and look how he turned out just saying !!

15.) 13 May 2018 11:03:03
APS if they’re good enough they’re old enough. Enough said. When you drill into the comment I’m sure good enough means physically and mentally good enough. That’s why it’s nonsense to say we should soft soap around the younger players. Great players deal with adversity the same as older players. It’s all part of being a great footballer. If you watched any quota of games last season it’s clear , absolutely clear that Worrall and Brereton are a bit away yet. That’s why once there were other viable options Worral was taken out of the first team. So much so it was better to play a left back instead of him. Same thing would have happened to Brereton but there was no other viable option., each time it was tried it was proven to not be viable. Fair play to the lad for doing this best to fill a void - we had no one else.
Now young cash on the other hand I believe is a different kettle of fish altogether and does have what it takes, even so, little is said about him in comparison to Brereton, who a few appear a bit fixated with. Perhaps it’s that desperation for a good striker to come out of the academy. I understand why if that is the reason.

16.) 13 May 2018 12:25:13
Good post 2 star and a fair reflection of where we are at the moment.
But in Worrall,Osborn and Brereton and even Smith, whoes been treated appallingly ,it gives something to build on.
Clough and McKay are only Osborn age and showed in their first few games that they have talent and goals in them as well.
Problem with young players is they are inconsistent and need good coaching and coaxing to get the best out of them.

If you take Osborn for example at 23 he's played under about 7 different managers and been played differently by them all, that doesn't help either.
It's about finding the right manager in the first place,
Get that right like Burnley and Bournemouth did and success follows

17.) 13 May 2018 16:24:01
For sure FF, I wonder if our coaching could improve .

18.) 13 May 2018 16:24:39
Smith has been treated badly

19.) 13 May 2018 21:47:16
Other thing 2 star is Dowell was brilliant and scored for fun in his early days??
They don't suddenly become bad players, they just have a dip in form.
It's about managing that and taking them out the firing line when needed without destroying their confidence??

Worral to rangers then. Personally think it's a great move for all. Centre backs mature later and think a season up there in front of a big home crowd will do him wonders.

30 Aug 2018 11:29:18
Great performance last night. Really pleased for Gil Dias. Deserved his goal. Thought he and carvalho looked outstanding!
But never mind us looking for another striker. (personally don't think we need one) . If byrams injury is bad, which I fear it maybe, getting a RB on loan is much more a priority.

1.) 30 Aug 2018 12:34:22
Bring back eric !!

2.) 30 Aug 2018 14:01:01
We now got to do it in the championship Brentford being a footballing might just suit us

20 Jan 2018 20:46:26
Never been so proud to be a forest fan. Outstanding away performance and genuinely feel we are on the right track. Beers going down nicely.

13 Jan 2018 19:22:22
Fair play to villa, a bit of a defensive masterclass there. Things we could learn. No need to panic, early days.

1.) 13 Jan 2018 19:37:20
As I feared, we kept giving free kicks just outside the penalty area. Mills was poor Clough might as well not have been there. Dowell gave the ball away and couldn't keep hold of it. We looked better as soon as Bridcutt came on. Traore looked hesitant most of the time and Smith failed to come out for the cross that cost us the game. We have multiple problems that need solving quickly.

2.) 13 Jan 2018 20:36:59
Confidence is a huge issue. Karanka said on Radio Notts after the game that we lacked strength and I think he means mental, you never see our players shouting or even talking something, young Worrall is one of our most vocal players and he was missing Today. We don’t have real leaders. hopefully Karanka can bring in some experiences leaders to help organise and train these young kids to play winning football!

3.) 13 Jan 2018 20:46:38
No need to panic indeed isofan. Next 2 games tough but then we have bottom and mid table sides. Must pick up wins there. By then AK should know what he wants to do.

23 Jun 2017 09:11:54
Am I right in thinking that by the time all the foreign junk gets shipped out, lichaj and vellios will be are only foreign players?
Maybe Warburton is going for British.
Ps. I know technically Britt is Congolese.

1.) 23 Jun 2017 10:52:00
Doubt it cus vellios is going to olympiacos it's a shame really cus he deserved to get more of a chance.

2.) 23 Jun 2017 10:56:19
Oh, looks like velious is on his way to olympiakos so just lichaj then.

3.) 23 Jun 2017 12:53:49
Traoure though he has been in England forever (like Livhij) and Carayol I can see staying but yes all rest of squad if we move Stojkovic (I have heard he is close to moving), Perquis, Lica and Lam. I can see us just paying us Perquis and Lica and maybe loaning Lam (he is still young and an international. just looks too light weight for Championship but could be worth loaning and bringing back in a year if he gets confidence up and more physical) .

4.) 23 Jun 2017 17:50:46
Is referring to foreigners as junk somewhat racist? Perhaps you yourself are junk.

5.) 23 Jun 2017 19:30:11
Maybe disappointing instead of junk was a better way of putting it. My point being that we seem to be going down the British route.

I actually agree. You can't expect him to just cave in if the yanks kept moving the goalposts. They did the exact same thing with Swansea and Everton. I'm a bit gutted right now but in the long run it may be a good thing. Tough times ahead though but I will never lose faith. COYR!

Calm down NFFC73, try saying something positive, it's getting boring now. Dorus leaving isn't the end of the world, gives other's a chance and I wouldn't be surprised in we bring a GK in now.

While i'm Certainly ok with changes being made for Tuesday, is there a case for putting a strong side out against a struggling stoke to keep our good little run and momentum going? Would be Nice to have a little cup run too!
I suppose we could still put a strong side out AND freshen things up.
