Manager will be sacked within 48 to 72 hours. Can't reveal the source.

mastino

1.) 03 Jan 2017 12:33:11
Good. 1 point from 18 for anyone else would mean a sacking. Nice guy but massively out his depth.

2.) 03 Jan 2017 12:37:08
not normally an advocate of sacking managers, but my patience
as run out, hope this is correct!

3.) 03 Jan 2017 12:40:08
l know that to !

4.) 03 Jan 2017 13:09:28
Mastino why do you only ever post about managers getting sacked/appointed? To be fair, I think everyone thinks he'll be gone this week now, it's an easy guess to make.

5.) 03 Jan 2017 13:29:48
Should never have been appointed. Clearly this was that Greek idiots doing Marakanis or what ever his name was. Gary Rowett would be my choice now unless I can have Billy back!

6.) 03 Jan 2017 13:46:30
Billy. Every day for me. Should never have been sacked in the first place.

7.) 03 Jan 2017 14:22:15
Billy for a third time? Ridiculous suggestion.

8.) 03 Jan 2017 14:34:34
I think if Billy came back that would setback our youth players and academy again to be honest. Whatever people think of PM I'm sure most agree he has been a great advocate and supporter of the youth system and giving them a chance.

9.) 03 Jan 2017 14:37:33
Is Billy 2star ?

10.) 03 Jan 2017 14:54:41
Why on earth would anyone want Billy Davies back?

11.) 03 Jan 2017 15:10:54
The new owners should come in and give PM some backing. He's just another scape goat for what's been going on behind the scenes. Will we ever learn to give a manager a proper crack at the whip.

12.) 03 Jan 2017 16:00:02
Billy Davies is a win % in the championship that we can only dream of. Let's be honest twice now a few have shouted for him to go arrogant that we are better than we are, on both occasions the club (football wise and player management) has completely fell apart. The inference is he club is a pig in a poke and Davies has proved more than once him and only him can get it performing to a level we all expect and want. Take a look at our league positions with him and then without him, every other manager has been nothing short of pathetic our league position I'm afraid provides unequivocal evidence of this statement.

13.) 03 Jan 2017 16:12:41
Ginger, your valid statement is worthy of an answer as you offer a reasoned rejection of Davies. During his time at forest he developed many young and up and coming players who played the best football of their careers at forest. Lewis mcgugan, Paul Anderson, Luke chambers, Wes Morgan (still quite young in 2009) , Radi, Jamie Patterson, Karl Darlow, Jamal Lascelles, Chris Gunter, Gareth McCleary all got loads of game time under Davies. He even peservered with Mcgoldrick and Garner and had a good influence on Bertrands development. This ongoing accusation that he had an issue with young players doesn't stack up for me and is more about propaganda put out by other ego maniacs at the club at the time who were frightened BD might end up with the biggest influence. We were all manipulated by certain people in ND's circle who were more interested in self preservation and their own ego rather than the good of NFFC and it's loyal fans. Secondly, and this is just a question, where are all of those players now? Is it possible the players in the system at that time just weren't good enough to break though ? Other than Bamford they've hardly gone on to great things have they?

14.) 03 Jan 2017 16:19:05
You can add Joel Lynch and Chris Cohen to that as well. Chris Cohen developed into a great player under Davies. Pretty sure he's said as much himself.

15.) 03 Jan 2017 17:14:44
you can quote win % all day long but the guy (BD) alongwith others at the club caused us so much damage it is unbelievable that anyone would want him back. poison and manipulative are.

16.) 03 Jan 2017 17:51:57
2tone, if finishing in and around the top six is damage I'd take that. An alternative view that could be argued is that sacking him caused the damage.

17.) 03 Jan 2017 17:59:51
To be fair 2 star, most of those players, with the exception of Karl, Jamal, Wes and Lewis he bought in, they weren't academy players and were better players than we already had fella. i'm sure Cohen was signed by Calderwood after his goals knocked us out of the play-offs. It was really the academy players not getting a chance I was aiming at, not the already/newly signed squad players. Bamford was a good example of someone not getting a chance, less than 10 mins as I remember and his Dad told him not to renew as didn't think he would get much time under Billy went to Chelsea and then loaned everywhere.

18.) 03 Jan 2017 18:21:22
I only pit a rumour on when I hear MysticMeg. Not often but normally to do with managers coming and going and not transfers due to the source I have. However supporting Forest means there is always a manager about to be sacked!

19.) 03 Jan 2017 18:33:53
You're spot on mate, calderwood did sign Cohen. Buy I think average age of those I mentioned was about 22 at the time and all did well under his and Kelly's coaching. I agree that he appeared aloof towards the academy. PerhAps I'm just being desperate pal but all I want is a team that perform, play for the manager and show the commitment we deserve. People feared us back then, now we are just a laughing stock.

20.) 03 Jan 2017 18:35:49
Aran Davies scored the goals, Cohen ran the game and made the midfield look worse than our current one. I know you must think I just made that up but honestly he did ! Honest!

21.) 03 Jan 2017 19:11:35
2 star - we had two fantastic chances to get to the play off final and prince billy failed in both. He had the budget, the squad and fans backing him but couldn't do it-he failed and hid behind anyone he could rather than admit it was down to him. Clever guy and he manipulated the media to get the fans on his side in a battle against the owners/management but no class and not enough talent to take us to the next level.

22.) 03 Jan 2017 19:29:43
At least we weren't relegation fodder. To have a chance of going up you have to win the games in the first place to give yourself the chance of going up. Without realising it you've paid him a compliment because as we continue to witness, getting to the playoffs is an art mastered by a few.

23.) 03 Jan 2017 19:42:47
at war with the chairman/authority
at war with the press
at war with at least half the fans
at war with some of the players
tried to close the youth academy for another 1 million pound striker
ETC ETC ETC ETC
not to mention BD's legal team and the employment of his brother in law
Sat at home and drew every penny out of forest until his contract ran out. Horrible little man
He cannot ever return to Forest.

24.) 03 Jan 2017 19:58:22
Billy. I mean 2star - how does our disciplinary record compare under Davies to other managers? (genuine question - I do not know the answer but it always seemed like we had constant bookings and suspensions when he was around) . To be fair, you make a compelling and valid argument for him but he is the past and if he's so great why is he not hot property for clubs in the premier league? He is our past, so let's leave him there and move on - and anyway, I think if I had to listen to him saying 'Natalie. 'or '.1 or 2 STELLAR signings. ' once more in my life, I'd probably top myself. I personally don't like the bloke and I think we could (and will) do better. Just my opinion. You've made some very good and sensible posts in the past but on this point we fundamentally disagree.

25.) 03 Jan 2017 20:00:35
Getting to the play offs should have been guaranteed after being backed so well, so he should have got that far- in my eyes he did his job ok to a point but failed to complete it, definitely not king Billy but I do give him a bit of credit for being ok and giving us some good football, hence prince billy.

26.) 03 Jan 2017 20:12:15
True 2star, we were feared back then, especially at home, we had a fantastic record under Billy but he just seems to self destruct and the media blow up was a prime example. I think his last tenure at Forest put everyone else off, some managers do just click at certain clubs. Your correct, it was Aarons goals, Prutton got sent off too, discipline issues back then as well.

27.) 03 Jan 2017 20:22:06
Backed so well ? Tell us a bit more about that then if you would.

28.) 03 Jan 2017 20:23:56
I can accept your argument all day Ginger, no disputing the fact we were in good shape from a football point of view. But his antics and shananigans make him a no go for you. Fully get that.

29.) 03 Jan 2017 20:27:36
Redradish, I couldn't care less if I'm honest. At least those bookings were from getting in amongst it, unnerving the opposition and often winning games. Now we have the worst disciplinary record ever because we just hopeless . But anyway I do agree on the Natalie point and he is the past.

30.) 03 Jan 2017 20:30:10
Chugsey, I suppose the half he didn't upset are the 8,000 that now think better of watching the crap served up compared to what was delivered before ?

31.) 03 Jan 2017 20:58:46
2 star - Billy 'shoestring' Davis 😂 Come on surely you'll admit he was backed financially, he spent his annual budget at the start of each season and then gambled on trying to get even more cash if we were doing ok.

32.) 03 Jan 2017 21:27:21
So what did he spend 2tone? You've delivered your statement with such confidence, tell us what he actually spent? Personally I was quite happy to get to the playoffs but for too many of our deluded fans who thought we had a god given right to go up progress into the playoffs wasn't enough. Were you one of those fans 2tone? Was you one of those who thought sacking someone who was making a lot out of not very much was a good idea ? Or we you shouting the same Vitoral with lout substantiation that you are now ? So tell us what did he actually spend ?

33.) 03 Jan 2017 22:01:32
2 far oops sorry 2 star -you sound like you've lost the plot under the pressure ala keegan 😊? I'm not a fan who demands or expects anything, I respect honesty which we didn't get from the prince (we didn't get much from the higher management either) I expect people to accept criticism as well as praise and I wouldn't call someone a king who had not earnt the crown. I'm sure you can check our expenditure quite easily but without checking you know we certainly didn't do it on the cheap or within our means. So maybe you're happy spending over and above what we had on a chance of going up and maybe you're happy with a top six finish and crumbling at the final hurdle? I'd luv it, you know what I'd absolutely luv it if you could keep calm and look forward to what is hopefully a successful investment/takeover. I'll raise a glass with you when prince Billy's back . permanently back on the north side of Hadrians wall.

34.) 04 Jan 2017 07:41:11
Clearly you don't really know and as always you dodge the question with a few fanciful quips rather than concede you made sweeping statements without substantiation. He's did as well as anyone with similar resources and by no means was he given a top two budget. In the last eight years only BD had us competitive, consistently in the championship. 8 managers have tried and got no where near. Surely you can't try and pass that off us coincidence when any data on offer shows it's a fact. You're arguing with me about facts that are in black and white not written by me but data available about what actually happened. For clarity I'm nit testifying his good character. I'm extollmgvtrhe virtues of a football man who can get more out of Average players at skint clubs like forest. He's proved he can do it in spades a point if willing argue all day.

35.) 04 Jan 2017 11:39:05
Forest were not skint when he was at the club, they were spending plenty of money and he was always looking to spend more ie. the 2 or 3 stellar signings that we always needed. (Direby and Preston may have been different but I haven't looked into that) . Any job involves working with other people and Prince Billy could not work with anybody out of his inner circle-that's not a good thing for the club. We all have different views and opinions with regards to what is success, aspirations, personalities etc and its plain to see we disagree on the Prince. Do you agree that we would be better employing a manager who is capable (or wants) to unify the club as a whole? probably best to drop the thread about whether that's Prince Billy or not?

36.) 04 Jan 2017 11:45:10
And I do agree that Billy has been our most successful manager in recent years (that could be listed as one of your facts) but if you look at all of the circumstances and what you are comparing with I reckon i'd be in with a shout of being in the top two - its been a shocking few years and facts can easily be manipulated to prove certain points and that's a fact :) (I think? ! )

03 Nov 2015 22:04:19
Derby is DF last game.
Keane, Clough and Pearson are currently on shortlist with more likely to follow.

mastino

1.) 03 Nov 2015 22:33:44
Clough and Pearson has a ring to it, but cannot see any of these guys going for a two man team.

01 Feb 2015 18:49:08
Tim Sherwood, Keane and Warnock are the 3 being considered.

mastino

1.) 01 Feb 2015 19:09:24
I should of added, Pearce has been offered another role which he is thinking about. Not sure what this role is.
I would like to see Martin O Neil but can not see it happening.

2.) 3 big NO's there NO,NO,NO😒

3.) 01 Feb 2015 19:16:49
Says Petrescu is favourite everywhere you look!

4.) 01 Feb 2015 19:18:55
We need a tried, tested and previously successful championship manager. Not Petrescu, not Sherwood, Warnock fits the bill but will be controversial and cause problems down the line. Who else is there? Billy has too much baggage/history, Nigel Clough not successful, Martin O'Neil anyone??

5.) Be careful what you wish for boilerman!

6.) Brazil and Lester Till the end of the season.

7.) Please not Pet rescue. he was sacked (twice in 2014) by Dynamo Moscow and Al-Arabi for a reason. Not sure if anyone would want to come to us really but if he did I'd like to see Tim Sherwood for 6 months?

Whilst on here as well I've been watching him for the last few games even when he's off the ball and i'm sorry to say but i don't think Assombolonga was worth the money we paid him. Very very lazy on Sat against Milwall.

8.) Warnock. just no. Anyone even suggesting him really has no idea of management.
Sherwood. untested so no.
Petrescu. did well at West Brom. Probably best option after looking at options but isn't he in Germany league?

Who else?! A successful lower league manager? ???

9.) Boilerman thought u would take anyone over pearce u maker laugh

10.) 01 Feb 2015 19:47:10
Petruscu. West Brom? He never played for them never mind manage them. totally confused :-)

11.) Pierre van Morgan, petrescu never managed in England. Think your getting him and di matteo mixed up mate. I'd go for McDermott. Got experience, did well at reading and will probably have a point to prove to cellino at leeds.

12.) 163red,i said no to Keane,Warnock and Sherwood 😞

13.) 01 Feb 2015 20:18:43
I think Pierre might be confusing petrescu with di matteo who might be worth a punt if we can afford/persuade him.

14.) 01 Feb 2015 20:20:26
Dougie Freedman in talks with the Club.

Appointment expected as early as tomorrow. Decent Manager at this level did well at Palace his time at Bolton can be executed.

15.) 01 Feb 2015 20:29:44
Dont think we can afford an O neill. Were not good enough to attract these tried n tested managers people say they want. I think we all have to accept that the appointment will be someone with something to prove at this level

16.) Apologies. Oh well Douglas Freeman it is.

17.) 01 Feb 2015 21:41:53
Martin O'Neill, failing that Nige. If Sp goes upstairs then def Nige

18.) Boilerman, you wished for stuart to get the sack so don't moan about who replaces him. That's what I meant!

27 Oct 2014 07:37:26
Possibly 2 loan signings by the weekend - 1 is definitely. Boyh from premier league teams. Not sure who. Any ideas?

mastino

1.) Any idea what positions he is trying to strengthen ? We always have a problem with the left back position, Pearce does not seem to fancy Danny Fox. Stories are that we had to sign him as he would only come on loan last season if he got a 3 year contract.

2.) Its the young winger from Villa, I think nailed on. and the rumour yesterday was a midfielder from Spurs. they do have alot. that's all I know

3.) Mason from Spurs could be one, as was a rumour after the Spurs cup game that SP asked if he was available. Villa bloke SP already said not interested. Might be a CB to cover Hobbs as would expect them to replace Reid and Hobbs.

4.) Boyd from Burnley lol

5.) Pk1, can't SEE this one happening. Lol

6.) Some saying Sinclair though can't see it myself

7.) One will be Tom Ince according to Tails

8.) Tom Ince supposedly closing in on a 1 month loan deal, with a view for a 93 day extention. COYR!

9.) Looks like Tom once from hull could be good sighning

10.) Tom Ince

11.) Ince and Charlie Adam

19 Oct 2014 08:00:25
Lascelles may be recalled to Newcastle as early as January! We have agreed to buy a goal keeper from a lower league club - not sure who.

mastino

1.) 19 Oct 2014 09:28:16
they want to swap lascelles for steven taylor and the keeper is bentley from southend

2.) Is don't get it. Chopsy your saying Newcastle want to recall one defender and loan us another? Thought the reason for recal was they were in defensive crisis?

3.) I don't get it either red stuart i'm only repeating what it says on another web site and its on the newcastle blog aswell. it also says they have got another centre half on loan at roma so why don't they recall him. i don't want to see lascelles go but it seems as if the premier clubs pull strings and the championship clubs dance which i think is wrong but that's football in this country nowdays.

4.) According to the bird site, Forest are competing with premier league teams to sign Southend keeper Daniel Bentley.

5.) What this should say is I have read in paper Newcastle want lascelles and forest after a goal keeper as seen on forest press talk,

6.) We could let them have Collins or Halford if they are desperate! Is Evtimov still around? We need a strong powerful defensive midfield player so unless Taylor can play there we should pass on him.

7.) As far as I'm aware this is rubbish. I'm sure that SP has said several times that there is no recall clause.

8.) Newcastle will have to drop another few million to get him back early. I think forest have them by the balls tbh. About time too fed up of forest been held to ransom 👍

9.) Taylor rumoured to have had bust up with Pardew and hasn't been playing so looking to use him as a sweetener to take Lascelles early.

10.) Loosing Jamaal won't cause much disruption to the team. But Darlow on the other hand !!

11.) Darlow? He should have got down to both goals on Sat! Need a new keeper ASAP! Let him go to them! No loss.

Dexter has been rumoured to have received a commission from the Lansbury sale to Villa when he shouldn't of as a player. Apparently Rotherham not impressed with him and may find himself in trouble.

I would to see DF turn it round but I don't honestly think he can. If I did I would say give him more time. Sadly I think Derby will be his last game if we lose. If we win them like SP it will buy him a few more games, but come end of the season we will have a different manager.
Personally I would like to see Pearson given the job.
