Can any if you helpful souls update me on Byrams injury. Read lots of rumours but cannot find anything on the official site. Is it long term and if so has he gone back to West Ham
Many thanks to all.

I sincerely hope that i am wrong but I have my reservations with this managerial appointment.
Time, for me, is no longer on my side to see once again this great club of ours back in the top level.
My concerns is that none of the three main players EM, MON and if he joins us RK have a record for showing tolerance and this could just be a caldron waiting to boil over due to the owner if he does not get results quickly and the manager if he has any form of interference.
I mentioned last October that my opinion was that AK had until Xmas to turn draws into wins and he failed to do this. I do not agree that he lost the dressing room in any way but (and again just my opinion) I believe that a DOF was forced upon him and he would not agree to this appointment and hence he walked albeit the owner did nothing to stop him due to poor results.
I read and hear comments that Slavisa Jokanovic turned us down due to salary. This to me does not make any sense seeing as it looks as if we have Roy Keane joining MON yet another salary and also just appointing a DOF. My thought are that he turned us down due to the owner wanting success on a quick turnaround and I am of the opinion that Slavisa is also not a fan of the DOF system.
I sincerely hope that the managerial team of MON is given a full season after this one to show what he can do without having the constant pressure of an owner breathing down his neck and please please let me be wrong about my thoughts and let him take us once again to great places.

Someone pointed out earlier that Lolley said nothing publicly about regretting Aitor leaving Forest, yet as soon as Wagner, a previous manager of his left Huddersfield Lolley was quick to give him credit publicly.

If he was so against a DOF why did he wait so long to walk, and wait so close to a game before doing so.

Again someone said, and i agree with them, there are three sides to the situation, Aitor's view, the owners view, and the truth.

Re: Salary, the rumour is the ex-Fulham guy wanted premier league wages. MON and RK will be on half of that combined. The other thing to note is that a lot of the backroon staff left with AK so their wages will be gone too. MON will have to get his team sorted, then look into the squad. I’m not blown away by this appointment but I’m confident we’re in safe and stable hands, and thankful we’ve got someone with forest in their soul in charge rather than a sellsword.

Carvalho had a fine game today. He appears to be improving as the season goes on. Then again AK stated he needed time.

1.) 01 Dec 2018 18:46:09
They all had a good game today,I've seen the light I'm a krankie believer.
Seriously guys we are genuine challengers and I've been seriously entertained the last four games as well.
Hope,no I don't, think we'll get promotion.
Well done redinexile, you called it and it is getting better and exciting to watch.

Well thank you my friend I've just opened a bottle of wine after abstinence since September on the back of your compliment! Hic

We now seem to be getting the geometry right with the play books and tempo to play in GrabOne in. Hopefully we will not start getting kicked off the park as everyone wakes up to just how good this team can get?

Onward and Upward.

So we beat the top team and still the moaners are not happy.
If you do not like the football or the way the manager sets the team up then go watch another team it's your choice.
If however you want to continue to watch this team then get used to it cause it ain't going to change unless this owner decides we ain't making progress but whilst we are still in the running then you are going to get more if the same

1.) 04 Nov 2018 00:38:10
mickn as long as your happy with what’s happening why are you concerned what anyone else thinks

2.) 04 Nov 2018 08:03:53
4 pts off the top. I know we all want flowing attacking football but promotion comes first. I never thought we would challenge this season but after wins against top sides I think we can now. We will only get better as they gel more. Bound to be additions in Jan. Be positive. It looks good lads.

3.) 04 Nov 2018 09:00:36
Redfin, teams that generally do well in this league grind out results
I know that’s seems like an obvious thing to say but teams generally set up not to lose first and foremost. Stakes are so high in this division , it’s unlikely you’ll see champagne football.

4.) 04 Nov 2018 09:50:26
They will still moan if we get promotion!

5.) 04 Nov 2018 10:06:48
Mickn. you used a phrase in your post that actually neutralised what you were moaning at; it's your choice. 😄

6.) 04 Nov 2018 10:28:29
Stevie f.
I have never liked this style of football. A while back the following question was asked on this forum.
Q would you prefer attacking football and stay where we are or would you prefer the AK way if it gets us promotion.
For me its a no brained as we have sat in the dolldrums for far to long now and if this style gets promotion then so be it.
Make no mistake this manager knows our owner takes no prisoners and if his style does not work he will be gone.
Would I prefer the Billy D way yes but not with the chaotic regime that we had with the previous owner.
Can we have both with this owner and the BD style , well let's hope so but we have a long hard ladder to climb first.

7.) 04 Nov 2018 12:09:11
Mickn I actually agree with you mate but only time you can get away with his’ style ‘ is when your winning

Mr Clough on being asked by the chairman how much he would have paid for Shilton replied "any amount".
He later explained (I believe it was to the press) that Shilton generates confidence throughout the team and this is invaluable to the defenders as they know if they make a mistake he will be there to clear up and this makes them better players.
I myself really do not believe we have a bad defence but they are being made jittery by Pants. If you think about it he has the height to come for crosses. He has hands like frying pans but he insists on punching and seems incapable of collecting a ball. All of this is effecting the back four and he needs dropping to the bench from immediate effect.
On another subject that is being discussed refering the crowd making the players nervous. As a manager for many years and if I had told my director that the customers (that's what paying supporters are) are making me nervous then he would have had my backside out of the door without delay.
Instead of defending them and insulting the supporters AK needs to put his boot up the players backsides

1.) 23 Oct 2018 20:31:45
In hindsight which goalkeepers do you think AK should have tried to bring in in the summer?

Indeed realistically which quality goalkeepers would have been tempted to join a team that finished as low in the Championship as Forest did?

2.) 23 Oct 2018 20:38:27
Can AK. Cannot give an opinion on what goalie but what with the owners intent think we could have brought in a decent goalie. Just surprised AK did not and has relied far to much on pants to do the job as he ain't up to it.

3.) 24 Oct 2018 06:56:05
I’d have gone for Forster from Southampton either on loan or a cheeky 1m bid or De Vries back from Celtic

17 Oct 2018 14:01:01
I try to be always the optimist. Maybe some times a little to much. The expectations of what AK is trying to achieve is I belive coming good.
My only concern is the lad between the posts as he does not fill me full of confidence. Strange really as I believed when he came last year that he was solid but the last few games then it would appear he has lost the confidence he previously had. Think if he is still struggling in the new year then it's time for a new face.

1.) 17 Oct 2018 16:08:05
Am in agreement mickn. My optimism leads me to believe that AK will replace any player that does not reach his required standards. I am also optimistic that the owner will give him backing to do so. Optimism is the way forward pal.YOU REDS!

2.) 17 Oct 2018 18:07:59
Ba Humbug.

3.) 17 Oct 2018 23:47:29
May I be the first to wish you all a Merry Christmas.👍😊

4.) 18 Oct 2018 07:11:10
He really struggles with his nerves.all we can do as fans is get behind him.

5.) 18 Oct 2018 11:02:18
Yes agree Gazza. AK must have seen something in him but once the confidence goes it a hell of a job to pull it back round but hope he can a couple of good games may do it.

6.) 19 Oct 2018 07:27:14
Tom heaton unhappy at burnley, he’d be useful on loan from January.

7.) 19 Oct 2018 16:55:51
I agree oakham . Do you think we need to move someone out though?

Blimey Red cheesy chips that's posh. Takes me back to my first match my bro stuck a cup of boveril into my hand saying get that down you it will do you good. Blimey the amount of salt he had put in it would have given a food hygienest a heart attack. 😁

Nice post Nfcc. Have to agree it's good to have a start to a season that at present is looking positive on all fronts. Think the managers plan is starting to come together. Don't see any reason why it should not continue.

51. Hope your illness is now behind you and I wish you good health for the future.
I have been saying this about Forest supporters for years they are finkle and impatient.
Crap manager year after year. Not buying enough players then buying to many. All of them knowing better formations than the manager
The list is endless.

I do not expect anything special for the rest of this season. Not sure as yet if this is the right manager but am prepared to be convinced and patient with the man.
My one hope us that he is given a full season to see what he can do and that's something that hasn't happened for some time.

The ironic thing Smithy is that if WBA play teams above us and if Gayle is suspended then it will effect us yet again if WBA lose those games. So annoying.

At the risk of repeating myself refs are now being given far to much protection to the point of making ridiculous decisions and they are not being made accountable for bad decisions. The forth official is a waste of space and let's face it is only there to observe what the managers say and do

Obviously nobody told the manager not to let Grabban take penalties. The amount he misses we have to have someone who can take a better penalty.
