Talking Britt, he has cost Middlesborough 1.4 million per goal. Murphy cost us 250K per goal. Tomlin and Dowell cost us almost nothing per goal. For me we don't need him.

1.) 26 Feb 2018 17:58:57
In all fairness if he keeps fit, make him feel loved and play to his strengths he would be a fantastic playe.

2.) 26 Feb 2018 20:21:31
I'd prefer Antonio back, of the players that have left for the 'greener grass'. Just my opinion.👍

3.) 26 Feb 2018 20:36:01
Pulis does not do arm around the shoulder with his strikers as he does not know how they tick!

4.) 28 Feb 2018 21:42:22
Brereton goals are for free. Just a pity we have buy ten pints to get a free one?

23 Feb 2018 14:06:58
Anyone know why Brit is benched? is it another injury?

1.) 23 Feb 2018 14:37:07
No nas according to pullis his form has dropped off so he sayes that he must try different options so far with results

2.) 23 Feb 2018 15:40:43
Pullis is like lots of other managers ,if a player isn,t running his b------,s off he dosen,t pick him .
It dosen,t seem to matter that the player given a chance 9/out 10 times will score .
Sir BC said scoring is the hardest job in football ,but nowdays it looks like they prefer robots ,be no place for Jimmy Greaves in these managers teams ,Jimmy said when asked to run more "my job is to score !

{Ed001's Note - Johan Cruyff always said players should run less and instead use their head to make the right runs. I think I would take his thinking over Pulis every time!}

3.) 23 Feb 2018 18:03:36
Pulis thinks he got Saido Berahino again and cannot cope with a goal scoring number 9 as he might get blamed for playing exciting attacking football?

4.) 23 Feb 2018 18:32:52

Cruyff was a absolutely brilliant player, and the statement you mentioned is bang on, but in your opinion what do you think to the way he treated Lineka while they were at Barcelona.

{Ed001's Note - to be honest I don't really know anything about that. I am busy researching him for an article I am writing but not read anything about that. It was before my time to really remember it. So thank you for making me feel young... well younger anyway.}

5.) 23 Feb 2018 19:17:34
No problem, glad i managed to make you feel younger.

Lineka joined Barcelona, i'm not sure if Cruyff was already the manager, or he joined them while Lineka was already there. Cruyff did notbrate Lineka as a striker so played him on the wing.

Lineka worked hard, and did a lot of running but wa infective.

{Ed001's Note - Cruyff would not have signed someone he didn't rate and he had full control when he managed there on transfers. He was very much a 'do it my way or don't do it at all' type of guy. Seems odd though as he would, on the face of it, be a good fit for the way Cruyff thought about football. I will have to see if anything comes up about that in my research. Cruyff was a very spiky character that is for sure, but defo a genius about football.}

6.) 23 Feb 2018 19:43:19
ffs lineker

{Ed001's Note - does it matter? You know who he meant after all.}

7.) 23 Feb 2018 19:54:23

When you have completed your research will you be putting a link on here?

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, it will go up on all the sites as a Legends of the Game article.}

8.) 23 Feb 2018 20:34:06

I thought his forename was Gary. 😁

9.) 23 Feb 2018 21:27:47
Of course it matters

10.) 24 Feb 2018 22:26:32
Cruyff fan then Mr Ed , Def some good points there though would anybody swap karanka for the return of the Britt ? Don't think I would myself seeing the positives beginning to unfold now . Long may it continue coyr

11.) 24 Feb 2018 22:38:03
Britts getting splinters removed from his ass , happened to reid , cohen and fryatt to name BUTT a few . No wonder commentators always say when they come on as subs that they hate the woodwork . hmmm

12.) 24 Feb 2018 23:04:58
lol can't believe that one got posted they're all flying in today haha

13.) 25 Feb 2018 07:50:53
If we are being perdantic Oakham, it’s Lineker (with a big L)

14.) 25 Feb 2018 12:06:48
Hey Ed seeing you are flying for royal mail today , can i change my name ?

{Ed033's Note - go ahead register a new name

15.) 25 Feb 2018 13:51:53
I think you'll find it's Pedantic not Perdantic F A Wazz

08 Feb 2018 17:18:03
Here at last. Kapino = Shilton.

1.) 08 Feb 2018 18:06:56
Has he been caught in a car having fun with someone then.?

2.) 08 Feb 2018 18:17:04
we've actually signed a left back, we've actually signed a left back, we've actually signed a left back. No still not sinking in.

3.) 08 Feb 2018 18:34:58
Reading between the lines it looks like this deal was lined up pre deadline to terminate a contract to allow him to move between sister clubs within FFP?

No doubt EM's enemies will be accusing him of impropriety!

4.) 08 Feb 2018 18:36:29
They were supposed to be assessing his fitness first.
Walking through the city ground door and signing the contract, that's the easiest fitness test I've

5.) 08 Feb 2018 19:50:15
Well at least he didn't fail the eye test

6.) 08 Feb 2018 20:02:39
They soon see the dollar signs and where to sign.😁😁

7.) 08 Feb 2018 21:02:06
Redinexile, the way you put it, it was.

01 Feb 2018 10:58:07
Not impresed one bit . Midfielders galore. Where are the goals going to come from. Seems to me a case of trial and error. Sorry Reds to be a killjoy.

1.) 01 Feb 2018 11:03:56
I'm hoping with an actual supply the strikers we have will score with the service they haven't hadn't it's unfair to judge our scoring ability

2.) 01 Feb 2018 11:06:48
Give it a chance for goodness sake!

3.) 01 Feb 2018 11:08:32
Nash. I can't believe that. You say midfielders galore. True. Midfielders galore NOW.
We didn't have a midfield at all before.

4.) 01 Feb 2018 11:12:25
Midfield was where the problem was.
No tackles no creativity.
He's bought in tacklers creative and goalscorers.and box to box player
What more could you ask for?

5.) 01 Feb 2018 11:13:50
It wouldn’t have mattered who our forwards were against Preston, messi and ronaldo wouldn’t have got a touch because our midfielders were completely overrun and never got the ball to pass to them, much too lightweight. Hopefully AK has sorted it and we can now see how good,or not,our current forwards are, you never know, the defenders might look better too!

6.) 01 Feb 2018 11:45:38
Both defence and attack have suffered from our weakness in midfield, we can get overrun easily. But will AK have us playing like a Warnock side rather than a nice footballing side (the forest way)

7.) 01 Feb 2018 11:57:31
Anybody know what happened to ben watson??
Heard contract terminated. .is he with us or not.

8.) 01 Feb 2018 12:12:20
Not at the minute.can still sign tho as he’s a free agent.

9.) 01 Feb 2018 12:21:20
Tomlin and Lolley are both forwards (yes they sometimes play winger or attacking midfield but also both have played up as striker.
Colback is a midfielder but actually played Leftback very well when last a regular at Newcastle and with Traore going that is where I would expect him to play since we have signed Guardiora as solid midfielder who should adjust quick too.
So we actually have signed.
Goalie -Pantillimon
Centre Back - Tobias
Leftback / Centre Midfielder - Colback
Central Midfielder - Guardioura
Left Winger - Dejagah
Right Winger / Striker - Lolley
Striker - Tomlin

Just so you know.

10.) 01 Feb 2018 14:56:09
If you ain’t got a midfield you ain’t going to get goals or help defend them so great signings in my opinion

11.) 01 Feb 2018 15:09:59
I doubt Tomlin will play as an out and out striker.

31 Jan 2018 10:59:26
It's official, owners are flat broke.

All loans and freebies. Going down familiar road?

1.) 31 Jan 2018 11:13:19
Worrying isn't it! It would be reassuring if we signed a player for a fee! even around 2million just as a signal of intent! Bringing in loans and free transfers isn't filling me with confidence. We signed a load of misfits from Europe last year and they were all awful. I thought a manager of Karanka's caliber would not have agreed to take over if he didn't have a fairly big warchest. It feels like Fawaz is still in charge and we've all been played!!!

2.) 31 Jan 2018 11:13:41
Doesn't matter how much money the owners have it's how much we can spend to keep inside ffp and with fawas dealings still on the accounts I'm guessing it's not much unless we sell

3.) 31 Jan 2018 11:43:47
I think i would prefer a few loans and freebies as opposed to wasting cash in a last day panic.

4.) 31 Jan 2018 12:03:53
4.4 million bid for the Roma keeper?
Not bad for a skint owner?

5.) 31 Jan 2018 13:56:03
If we have no money to spend ,then Worral would already be on his way to Burnley for 11.5 million.
Theres money available but not sure how much.

12 Mar 2018 14:17:51
Peter Shilton is back in goal and 6 inches higher.

1.) 12 Mar 2018 22:16:16
Really loving Pantillimon lately but he ain’t no Shilton 😂

30 jan 2018 10:47:00
seems to me this portugues defender is a rushed deal to replace worrell.
smacks of desperation to me. do our owners have money?

1.) 30 Jan 2018 11:42:51
If they sell worrell and bring this Portuguese b side player in. It will be obvious they don't have money or are too tight to spend.
We hold onto worrell for couple years get in prem. he will be worth 4 times what we getting offered at moment.
There should be approximately 7m left from britts money. And not forgetting we had already come out of embargo
Very worrying.

2.) 30 Jan 2018 12:18:18
Be interesting if anyone knows just how much our first team wage bill is. Preferably per player because under Dougie and monty we could only sign players on less than 10k a week.
Cos of embargo. Which we eventually came out of.
Following the sales of Antonio Britt Burke landsbury ect.
Or did fawas pocket all that.

3.) 30 Jan 2018 12:18:55
So Vets
You think that Karanka would come to a club that shows no ambition whatsoever ?
I wouldn’t have thought so just wait and see!
Then have a go

4.) 30 Jan 2018 12:19:12
I love people still thinking there’s a huge pot of money left over from Assombalongas sale. The club was losing a million a month when we sold him. Perhaps that’s where the rest went. As for premier league in 2 years? Both Forest and especially Worrall will need to improve dramatically for that to happen.

5.) 30 Jan 2018 12:44:48
Nick there is no way you can back that statement up mate with proof of figures.

6.) 30 Jan 2018 12:44:50
Worrall is going nowhere. You should all be celebrating Mills going to Barnsley and the fact we did not get Heckingbottom who clearly rates him?

7.) 30 Jan 2018 12:45:02
well said nick 26!! its simple maths and will take the new owners a while to put things straight again.

8.) 30 Jan 2018 14:00:43
Not having a dig. But would love owners to come out and say something. It's worrying that they've never said owt

9.) 30 Jan 2018 14:34:20
Forest accounts have consistently shown circa £10m a year deficit of income over expenditure so Nick is spot on!

10.) 30 Jan 2018 14:37:42
FF79 check the clubs accounts mate. The club was losing £250k a week x 4 is a million. It’s fact.

11.) 30 Jan 2018 15:32:22
2017 accounts due to be filed by 28 th Feb so last loss was 2.2 million after fawaz wrote off 17 million in loans to get us out of embargo.
We'll see how much we are losing,if it's a million a month we wouldn't be buying anyone either now or the summer,You can only lose 13 million per season.
Season card sales and attendances are up and we have the best sponsorship deal in the club's history.
So it won't be a million a month.

12.) 30 Jan 2018 16:20:27
The sponsorship and season cards won't show up till the 2018 accounts are due obviously so that won't be till Feb 2019.
Like I say it's impossible to know how much we are losing a month at this present time unless the club were to tell us directly and that's not going to happen.

13.) 30 Jan 2018 16:22:04
What do you regard £17 million of loans written off? That was clubs losses quite simply. I agree that the new accounts will show an improvement under new regime but this pot of gold from Assombalonga being transferred just doesn’t exist which was my original point.

14.) 30 Jan 2018 16:37:39
The next accounts will still be fawaz regime till May 2017 and we don't know what they'll reveal.i understand your point as well but at this moment we don't know how much the club's operating costs are and we won't know how were doing under the Greeks till Feb 2019.
All I'm saying we won't be losing that amount otherwise Worrall would be gone already and the Greeks and Karanka are saying we don't need to sell,

15.) 30 Jan 2018 18:51:03
We are still in Mr Macawber Land with our accounts so play nicely boys!

20 Sep 2017 15:33:24
Heres a question on BC aniversary. Would his team have beaten this current full strenght Chelsea side

1.) 20 Sep 2017 16:01:51
"We have a fat little, Scottish winger. lives his life out of a frying pan,and smokes like a train. I'll tell you what!!! He will turn your left back inside out!!! Inside out!!!" COYRS!!!

2.) 20 Sep 2017 16:09:10
Brian would have believed it could. He would have sent out 11 players who believed they could too.

Fitness levels apart, character was what Clough looked for in his players. The run through a brick wall, never say die character, that set his teams apart. His players were not motivated by huge salaries, they were men you would want around you when the going got tough.

I think his teams had two truly world class players in Shilton and Robertson.

Clough would have liked Eden Hazard but he would have liked beating a team with him in it even more.

Brain Clough was a genius. At the height of his powers he could have won any football match against any opposition.

3.) 20 Sep 2017 16:27:35
Not his final season team but the Euro Years teams would have found a way!

4.) 20 Sep 2017 17:42:34
Great quote Rog!

18 Sep 2017 13:36:38
With our defence letting us down every game our ability to score is also proving a concern. We have scored only ten goals in 8 games. Four have come in one game. At this rate we are in big trouble. Do we need to change personel or do we change to counter attack as Dougie did.

1.) 18 Sep 2017 15:26:31
Think about whom we have faced. Sheffield Wednesday. Middlesbrough. Wolves. Sunderland. Brentford. Leeds. That is six tough league games and we have only played eight games league wise. We are not going to be champions, but i think we will be safe.

2.) 18 Sep 2017 16:43:27
They are ALL tough mate. even harder this year.

3.) 18 Sep 2017 17:27:37
Yes they are all tough, but Middlesbrough and Sunderland are ex Premiership, Wolves spent a lot of money Sheffield Wednesday were top six last year, Brentford are usually in the top ten, and Leeds were going well under their manager last year so a bit tougher than most.

4.) 18 Sep 2017 18:45:56
Lol nashua 2 counter attack like Dougie did you mean counter defence

5.) 19 Sep 2017 12:10:15
13 game unbeaten run for Mr Freedman, not too shabby:)

6.) 20 Sep 2017 00:10:13
Yeah your right ginger 13 1-1draws if I remember right and the football was that great under defensive Dougie that the attendance rates were massive wanting to catch this great managers football or dodgeball whatever you wanted to call it lmao

7.) 20 Sep 2017 08:45:45
lol, You know you have a special place for Dougie in your heart fella.

Don't get me wrong, I am really enjoying the MW ride and feel were only just at the start. But for all Dougies lack of entertaining ability I think we finished 14th under crap circumstances, not a relegation battle in sight so he couldn't have been too bad:)

08 Sep 2017 15:34:58
Cant see us getting McGinn in January. Some bottom level premiership will get him. it always happens when we are after someone. Will he be effective playing with someone else now that Cummings can't make the side? . On that note, will Cummings ever start a league match. Pathetic.

1.) 08 Sep 2017 16:07:40
Seven games coming up this month,we'll need the whole squad,
Patience is the name of the game,Cummins will get his chance.

2.) 08 Sep 2017 18:20:57
N2. If Forest felt they really wanted McGinn and he was worth more than they were offering then they would have offered it. We may not get McGinn in January, if not so what the club has done well in the last window, why not in January. Where we are in the league will determine the quality of player we can attract.

3.) 08 Sep 2017 19:58:38
Nashuau2 who would you like to be dropped to accomdiate cummins ??

4.) 08 Sep 2017 20:54:08
what do you mean - pathetic? i saw cummings against shrewsbury and thought he was the MOM but just because he hasn't started a league game yet, and its still early september, doesn't mean he won't figure for the rest of the season. we are only just starting a new regime and i for one trust MW to make the right calls until i consistently see different. Give the bloke a chance after all he isn't Megson, Platt, Montanier etc etc . .

5.) 09 Sep 2017 04:43:08
Murphy is 34. He won't start every game and Cummings needs to adjust to the english game. He will slowly take over from Murf. Also got competition from Brereton although I think he is most likely to be the next big money mover.

6.) 09 Sep 2017 10:35:17
So why has velios nit been given his chance. Scored for fun as a sub pre season. What more can a striker do???
