Newcastle reported to be lining up 4 million bid for osborne

oakhamred

One site now saying Henry has agreed personal terms with Aston Villa but the takeover is holding everything up. So much bullshit going round who knows what to think? Getting fed up now, this is really dragging on. I wouldn't like to be in Fawaz's shoes if he cocks this up.

I've heard ollie burkes new contract is £10,000/ week semms a lot to me, any thoughts anyone?

oakhamred

1.) 29 Feb 2016 12:05:55
Worth every penny . plays without fear and is a class act!

Will be a top player for us next season without doubt.

2.) 29 Feb 2016 12:39:54
When you think the likes of Fox and Wilson are on 25k, it doesn't seem so bad. Big talent on a long term contract at 10k per week seems pretty good to me.

3.) 29 Feb 2016 17:58:44
Burke worth every penny and more.

4.) 29 Feb 2016 22:40:15
5k a week going up 1k a week every year of his contract so by the end of his new deal it will be about 10. That's what I heard anyway.
If he carries progressing as he is we will be cashing in Antonio style in a few years!

5.) 03 Mar 2016 12:28:55
Seems quite a bit but then again he's one of the few players that have actually bee performing and earning it unlike messrs Wilson and Blackstock to name a few. After last weeks performance against Bristol it's no more games for me this season especially when they want £29 for the Shef Weds game. I can't afford to waste my money.

Burnley reported to be bidding for Lansbury, hope he tells them where to go, need to keep our best players.

oakhamred

1.) IMO we need to be offering Lansbury a longer deal. He had two years left, let's tie him to a long contract, betters deal for him to stay.

2.) Lansbury is a clever guy, who will stay at Forest, cause he knows Burnley will be relegated this season, and we will go up!

3.) Why would he move further away from London?im pretty sure we would of spoke to him about a new contract and he might of said no or he wants to see how things pan out.

4.) I fear that Lansbury will leave during this window, maybe not Burnley but perhaps another mid to lower end Premier League team, I watched the clip after he scored that spectacular goal earlier this week, and he did not look happy

{Ed034's Note - it was a friendly and we've seen lots of clips of him laughing and joking

5.) Landsbury has the greatest respect of SP. He'll want to have a good season with the reds, injury free and re pay the faith to the fans and manager. Expect a new conditioned landsbury this season playing just behind a front pairing breaking from midfield scoring lots of goals. SP favours a wing back system with three CB's and three in the middle of the park. Two target men up front.

6.) If we can tie Lansbury down to a long term deal asap it will be our best signing of the summer.

7.) 19 Jul 2014 14:03:08
Lansbury will stay this year, I'm very excited about forest this year building from the back, for me we need a winger then squad complete as I think SP will give the likes of Blake (who I rate) hollingsworth and maybe gnahore a run in the squad. Season ticket getting ordered :) glad to be a fan of this fantastic club, FTID

8.) Get him signed up the rest fit and we ve got a cracking squad

9.) I agree with pearce when he said, landsbury needs to earn a new contract. stay fit and play well. everyone wins.

10.) SP will not be letting him go unless it's for ridiculous money. Simples

11.) I believe Hollingsworth has been released.

12.) I say we let him go and go and get vidal with our new found wealth. on a serious note IF he is unhappy i'd rather him leave, such a talented player though it would be a shame.

13.) Whether we get him signed up to another contract or not will have no bearing on whether he leaves!

14.) @Raleigh U know why mate? because he's a winner and we were chasing the game. He's got his head screwed on and won't be going anywhere. Why would he sign now on championship wages when this time next year he'll have helped us to promotion and'll be able to command prem wages at the club he loves. Nottingham Forest.
We'll sell nobody Pearce doesn't want to and as has been said umpteen times Lansbury is an integral part of that.
Not only do u think we're building a good squad now I can see it growing and not being dismantled for years to come I truly believe that. this is our time boys enjoy ;)

Alan Gilzean has died, condolences to his family and friends, i think he was the best header of a ball i've seen play at Forest. Him and Greaves were a right handful, saw them a few times at the City ground and once in a cup semi final at Hillsborough. Top player R. I. P.

1.) 09 Jul 2018 19:17:52
Agreed RIP

20 May 2018 07:47:32
Now Leicester have signed another 20m defender maybe its time to get Wes back and forget about Dawson?

oakhamred

1.) 20 May 2018 13:08:08
Really don't understand why some on here want former players back, when clearly they are coming to the end of there careers??? Surely a big step backwards??

2.) 20 May 2018 13:40:14
Agree

3.) 20 May 2018 14:36:33
Their experience is immeasurable.

4.) 20 May 2018 15:37:05
Def agree with RogieRed the left us to have their time in the sun last thing we want is them back for an easy retirement in the sunset of their careers.

5.) 20 May 2018 18:33:12
Yes mate. next thing we'll be shouting "Don't tell'em Pike!!" ⛑️⛑️⛑️🔫🔫🔫👴👴👴

Come on fulham - living down here i didn't really care less about derby- rowett has changed all that- total knob, still hate Leicester more though.

Saw neil warnock on sky this a. m., had some nice things to say about Forest and came close to joining last summer. He didn't say why it fell through, i think we can all guess that, and reckoned we had a good nucleus of players who with 2 or 3 signings, which he had lined up, would have pushed for promotion. Proper football bloke and whether you like him or not i reckon we'd be higher up the table than we are now if he'd signed.

oakhamred

1.) 19 Feb 2017 22:29:05
so guessing is what it's all about then is it? what did he actually say?

2.) 20 Feb 2017 07:18:21
He said that the the greek bloke wanted a foreign manager, that forest was a great club with great supporters and that we would soon be doing well again, among other things.

17 Jul 2016 08:52:51
Near full page article on forest's potential new owner in todays observer- read it and weep!

oakhamred

1.) 17 Jul 2016 09:36:45
‘Timeo Danaos et dona ferentes’ is a Latin phrase from Aeneid (II, 49) , written by Virgil between 29 and 19 BC. It has been paraphrased in English as the proverb ‘Beware of Greeks bearing gifts’.

2.) 17 Jul 2016 09:46:14
Oh no! what now not yet bought the papers yet is it bad?

3.) 17 Jul 2016 10:25:03
Oh no I'm crying I'm crying with laughter coyr.

4.) 17 Jul 2016 10:37:00
can fawaz do anything right? football clubs are being bought or invested in left right or centre but fawaz has to pick someone who, allegedly, would put the Sopranos to shame. I read an article a few weeks ago where people connected in someway to this guys cases that have either disappeared or met any untimely demise.

5.) 17 Jul 2016 11:11:15
Oakhamred, that is the article i read yesterday it is not so damming as you make out, it has been pointed out that you can put as much money in as you like as an investor/ shareholder, so i for one am not to worried, let's get behind PM and the team and look forward to an exciting new season😎.

6.) 17 Jul 2016 12:51:59
Just read the artical inthe observer priced at a robbing 3quid the greek has not been charged with anything the takeover is in anadvance stage so should go through i admit its not ideal circumstances so we should take it and be damned just saying.

7.) 17 Jul 2016 15:24:23
I predict that the League will not permit the takeover to protect Forest. It is nearly impossible now to buy a Premier League club but all sorts of characters are aware that owning one is the most profitable earner imaginable. The only way in is to get hold of a Championship outfit as a gamble and hope that some miracle manager can navigate them to the Promised Land. This has happened at various clubs notably Leeds. Sadly everybody else is competing against parachute payments giving relegated sides such an unfair advantage. By the way The Observer is brilliant value particularly compared to the twaddle offered by football programmes at roughly the same price. I have been buying it for 50 years.

8.) 17 Jul 2016 16:52:14
The refs better watchout when they are in charge of a Forest game, upset the Greeks at there own peril.

Doesn’t seem to matter what the result is or how well he plays, there is always someone on here ready to have a go at osborn. The fact he overhit a couple of corners is completely negated by the cross for the first goal and the setting up of the second plus his general all round play.

Rf - you missed out the one factor that gets you promotion whether you have millions to spend or not - Neil Warnock as manager, and to think we could have had him .

Not much luck last night with knee injuries to byram and lolley - hope they’re not too serious, though the way byram reacted reminded me of cohen when he did his knee for the second time.

No chance with abraham, half the prem. would take him so he’s not going to go to a mid table championship team unfortunately
