Quick question about FFP. If a club has obviously made attempts to significantly reduce losses relative to the previous set of accounts, will this act in the clubs favour when any potential sanctions are enforced? Rather than all punishment being uniform if the maximum losses are not met?

I hope it would, because looking at our business this summer it is clear we are trying to reduce the wage bill and even if it is not enough, surely the punishment should not be so severe when it is clear the club is trying to head in the right direction.

radi majewski

1.) In the rules for the championship it states, if a club go's above the maximum allowed, but has reduced the overspend considerably and is heading in the right direction, no penalties will be placed on the club, it states, there will be no penalties for over spend for season 13/14, but books will have to be submitted on the 1st of December 2014, if it looks to the FA they are well over the allowed amount, there could be a transfer embargo on the club from the 1st of Jan 2015.

2.) Great, thanks. So with the limit being £8m this year, if we have shown to have improved from the -£17m to say -£12m, they wouldn't necessarily enforce a transfer embargo despite breaching the limit?

3.) Not sure a club can over spend by 8m then get looked at leniently if they over spend by say 4m, but with the two Algerians they will be both written off, along with any monies outlay to pay off there contracts, meaning between 4/5m will come off the over spend, that would bring forest over spend down to around 3 to 4m, however if forest spent 10m over this coming season, they would be hit with a fine of 10m, as any over spend up to and above is a 100% fine, with there being no punishment for 13/14 season maybe forest can write off the 4/5m against this coming season. Not sure you will see this Rad, I live in India, big time difference.

4.) Didn't quite say that right, the fines are from 1% for £250000 over, varying in percentage up 10m anything over 10m in a fine of 100%.

5.) Ok, think I understand it a bit better now. Thanks for your help. We'll see how it plays out come December. I am just glad to see the club now appearing to put an importance behind being run sustainably rather than spending crazy like last season with Billy's cousin adamant the rules couldn't be enforced. We should be aiming to be sustainable regardless of the rules.

Surely we might get a glimpse of the new away kit on tuesday when we play walsall. they're at home and they play in red so we're going to need a change kit, unless we play in last seasons / training gear, just a thought.

Jara has been released by the Baggies. Surely we have to go in for him on a free he's an absolute steal. Less injury prone than Hutchinson. Though would be great if we got both.

1.) Good old radi. So articulate. {Ed034's Note - I think it's good of him to come on and chat to fans. Cheers rads

If it is Adidas Kit next season the template of the new Chelsea shirt would be nice. Obviously in Garibaldi with a simple sponsor like theirs.

Not meaning to get ahead of ourselves but 6 of our remaining 9 games are against teams in the top half. If we get into the play-offs we will have earnt it. none of this relying on other teams results. I wrote off this season as soon as SOD was sacked. but would love to be proven wrong. I saw Neil Warnock complaining no other manager would be able to get Leeds into a play-off spot with the turbulence at their club. well I'm pretty sure the situation at Forest over the past 18 months has been more turbulent.

radi majewski

1.) Despite what Mancini thinks, league tables never lie, whoever finishes top 6 they have earned it. It doesn't matter who you play in your last 9 games, the point is at the end of the season every team has played the 23 other teams twice.
T2

2.) Proven wrong - under the previous
Managers we could not string two consecutive wins together. Whatever the case we have have moved on from the previous managers successfully already.

3.) How can you disagree with the first comment?

4.) I prefer our run in to Bolton or Brighton. They're playing either play off contenders or relegation fighters.

5.) Of course we have to play to play all teams twice in a season, but its when you play them, would Hull of fancied playing us under AM in Jan or BD in March. Recent results suggest we are hot and the teams above are cooling down.

I know we're in desperate need of a CEO and I would probably take anyone but does anybody know much about Faulkner. Is there anything much he did at Villa which makes him a good candidate? Why did he leave? I'll happily accept him whatever happens, as if he's good enough for an established premier league club he is surely good enough for us. Just wanted to find out a bit more if anyone has any information.

radi majewski

{Ed034's Note - respected by the vast majority of people who have met and spoken to him. did a good job under difficult circumstances at villa, where a small section of fans, for some bizarre reason, decided it was his fault the team and manager weren't doing as well as they'd hoped. did everything right at villa and is the stand out candidate for me, as I have said numerous times before

I'm not denying he's a good footballer Ed, I just don't think he or Cox offers enough for the position they play. Especially for a team that wants to be challenging at the top of the table. Maybe he would work better in that role in a different system. I hope they both do well at Reading if the deal goes through.

Everyone says they like Mackie because he gives 110%. If I played for Forest (I'm not the real Radi by the way) I would give 110% but I would likely be pretty useless. People appreciate the effort but you need to offer something football wise as well. He doesn't have enough of an impact regarding assists or goals, the same goes for Cox infront of goal. Good luck to them both at Reading, they both can only do better than how they have performed at Forest.

radi majewski

{Ed034's Note - it is not just his effort, he is a good footballer and I think he'll be missed, but with this we have to trust Pearce and his ideas of how he wants the squad to look

I still think the expense of getting a CEO in would far outweigh the benefits in terms of having someone to get in sponsorship, work on marketing, negotiate the best deals for players etc. Surely someone has told Fawaz this and the longer it is left the more rash decisions like this transfer will have to be made to meet FFP requirements.

Every fan will believe Pearce above Fawaz so to say that he was aware after what Pearce said last night is a lie. If he got someone in to do this work for him there would be no need to lie directly to us fans and only fuel more arguments and disruption.

Usually only 3pm home games on a Saturday are shown, unless they're on Sky over here in the UK at another time in which case a stream might be available at other times. Wiziwig is usually a good starting point.

I don't understand why people think footballers are purely driven by money. They're human too. If I was offered a large sum of money to work abroad I would need time to think it over and consider leaving all my friends and family behind. Big decision to make when you're only 22 as well, literally affects the rest of your life.

If he's got potential he'll continue to show it where-ever he's playing and may choose to move when he's more ready.
