Does anyone know the situation with ben Watson?

suttonpete

1.) 01 Feb 2018 09:31:56
Contract terminated by his club, expected to join some time today.

2.) 01 Feb 2018 09:33:22
Watson became a free agent before the window closed.

3.) 01 Feb 2018 09:59:19
thanks chaps!

10 Jan 2018 12:38:47
does anyone know from the footage shown at the academy this morning if that is also a new guy with him?

suttonpete

1.) 10 Jan 2018 13:22:11
Thats fitness coach Carlos Cachad, who has worked with AK the past.

2.) 10 Jan 2018 15:04:08
thanks Dazza60, wonder who the backroom staff will be?

3.) 11 Jan 2018 12:57:51
I spoke with a member of the boro board yesterday in a totally unrelated context. Apparently AK has had a phonecall with Boro goalkeeper coach Leo Percovich. He has a fantastic CV and has helped boro keep numerous clean sheets. Worked with Real Madrid as well as France, Brazil and Uragay national teams. He recently lost his daughter in a car accident over Christmas so the phonecall could have been related to that but my contact seems to think he will be arriving at the city ground shortly

4.) 11 Jan 2018 12:59:04
Goalkeeper coach Leo Percovich had a phonecall from AK 2 days ago so could potentially be joining our staff. Great CV, Real Madrid, Brazil and France national teams.

Well done DARRENFOREST, any other snippets we can enthuse about?

suttonpete

1.) 27 Jun 2016 13:41:34
Cheers mate.
Nothing to report as yet.

2.) 27 Jun 2016 14:29:16
I think you should be our official news source, more reliable than most I think its fair to say!

14 Oct 2015 11:16:25
we must be due another manager, maybe we can give the next one an extra couple of months before we get rid!

suttonpete

1.) 14 Oct 2015 19:45:08
Team are playing well just unlucky and lack of quality finishing. Few players coming back I can see a late push... But under ffp I think dougie done a good job. What's worrying is the attendance

2.) 14 oct 2015 19:56:29
dee, every club in every league could use the excuses you're using. Late push for what? Survival?

3.) 14 oct 2015 20:30:06
theres the excuse again ffp lol

4.) 14 oct 2015 22:03:31
ffp is nothing to do with our crap season. There's a bloke at my local club walsall called dean smith. He's had nothing to spend ever. Neither has any walsall manager since i can remember. They are top of league 1. Money might buy you the premiership but you don't always need it to compete in the championship.

5.) 15 oct 2015 07:20:47
agree with dee. All due respect to walsall firstly they are in league 1 less competitive than championship, secondly we were top around this time last year and that soon faltered, thirdly yes ffp has affected us we sold our best player and couldn't reinvest it other than loan players that had to meet certain financial restrictions, finally all around us are clubs spending huge amounts of money. £6mill bradley johnson to the sheep who seem to have lost few of their best players and have spent a lot to buy others, gray to burnley for £9million, fulham and boro have also spent. I doubt that's the case in league 1. Dougie needs time.

6.) 15 oct 2015 08:54:08
league 1 not as competitive? It took us 3 seasons to get out of it. Df doesn't need time he needs firing off. Then get a decent manager in and give him the time we are wasting on df

7.) 15 Oct 2015 09:35:53
What decent manager is available?

8.) 15 Oct 2015 10:06:58
Dee19

We have lost 8 of our last 10 home games. Not attacking enough when you have the players to do so is nothing to do with the embargo or luck. Thats why your attendances are down.

9.) 15 Oct 2015 12:52:55
Championship = better players league 1 are the lesser players but there all lesser players just like the championship is better players. Its just as competitive just slightly less ability. 4 points out of 30 isn't unlucky it's poor. Losing 8 games at home isn't unlucky it's poor management.

10.) 15 Oct 2015 12:55:52
We have the players and gave a taste of what they can do against Boro but defensive Dougie still plays a sweeper and 1 up front

11.) 15 Oct 2015 16:41:25
Watch Forest away is less stressful. Can we play away every week and refurbish the ground this year?

Rogie Red, I echo your comments and very sensible as well. I get so frustrated that quite a few on here are not prepared to give the new manager time, quite ridiculous.

suttonpete

1.) 22 Feb 2018 09:24:43
I agree to Rogie 😀but you can’t blame some fans new owners come in we want stability 8 months later they sack the manager ok he didn’t get it right but still 8 months and one transfer window not long enough now we are supposed to wait with another work in progress Karanka that’s ok but he’s not exactly getting the points on the board we need and if he loses next two or three games will the owners get rid ? And guess what back to square one again apart from Karanka ripping the team apart and getting rid of some deadwood and bringing in a couple of good players he’s shown me nothing else especially where it matters on the pitch and personally sent out goalscorers out on loan and not left us with much up front could come back to bite him on the arse lol anyway we shall see the roundabout that forest is

2.) 22 Feb 2018 10:00:35
Then again Skeggsy, say we actually WIN the next two or three games??? To me that would change the whole outlook of our situation,What a lift that would be for everyone!!! As I said,Aitor its up to you now,our safety is in your hands!!! FTID!!!

3.) 22 Feb 2018 10:15:53
and while ever we keep changing managers, we will never move forward on the pitch or off! we have give him at least a full season to mould a progressive team.

4.) 23 Feb 2018 06:37:39
warburton had long enough, bought in a load of sweaty useless socks. no improvement. karanka at least had the balls to off load a truck full of rubbish, hopefully another load of trash out in the summer.karanka will turn around the mess and get forest playing good football and taking the points.

16 Feb 2018 10:36:43
So what is the best back four we can put out tomorrow? Considering, Mancienne is out of form, fox not rated and Worrall still learning and the new signings lacking apparent match fitness. Not many options for us me thinks?

suttonpete

1.) 16 Feb 2018 11:22:11
Still think he'll go
Darikwa
Osborn
Manciene
Worrall
Fig.

2.) 16 Feb 2018 11:55:23
No way will Darikwa start. Your reading to much into Lichaj being subbed off last week. Like Redinexile said it was to accommodate 3 at the back and Fix is more suited to centre back than Lichaj.

3.) 16 Feb 2018 12:12:25
We shall see my friend

4.) 16 Feb 2018 13:30:50
Darikwa is a joke, he can't defend, can't tackle, to small to head it and can't compete. He was signed as a wing back and he can't attack either. It might give us an edge though because Burton won't know which fullback to attack and expose, Darikwa or Fox. Confusion reigns

5.) 16 Feb 2018 18:31:03
I agree he will play three CB like we did in second half, I think Figueiredo will come in for with Manchienne or Fox and Osbourne will be left wing back but I fancy Cash will play right, I expect Watson to come in and possibly Lolley too also think Vellios will be dropped for Murphy or Brereton. think Tomlin will start if fit enough.

6.) 16 Feb 2018 20:19:11
Tomlin will never be fit enough to start, you can't lose three stone in a week.
Think your Bob on with three at the back and Eric being dropped.
Still think he'll play Dowell though.
Regardless of who he puts out;let's hope he sends them out in the right frame of mind and he's instilled some confidence in them, without that it's not a team.

21 Jun 2017 10:14:25
I would suspect not because its just Millwall, the opening fixture may be moved because of Notts CC playing 20 / 20 same day!

suttonpete

1.) 21 Jun 2017 11:05:46
We could need them and their sporting apparatus at some point to sort their fans out.

2.) 21 Jun 2017 21:04:59
It will no doubt be a midday the following sunday job. Hate them.

3.) 21 Jun 2017 21:31:42
With you on that one creepy prefer friday night to sunday.

its refreshing and good to know that the club is moving forward. But let's be careful here we don't get ahead of ourselves, me thinks we might have to settle for a top half finish, hope I am proved wrong

Well, how do you know it won't? 3 months does not mould a squad, especially after all the constant change we have had over the years. Understand until time and patience is given to the manager we won't move forward. If nothing has changed by the end of 2018, then I will hold my hands up.

When are you some of you lot going to realise that AK has to been given more than 3 months to influence his management attributes, the improvement is not going to happen until next season.

Sorry we have got to get away from sacking a manager every time results don't go our way. I realise times have not been great for us reds over the 21st century, but let us have some patience. Mick Mcarthy seems to be turning it round at Ipswich for example.
