Well with the take over falling through am not sure what the real story is but I do find it strange that JJM has died to buy clubs before but never got over the finish line. So we have to make the best of what we have love it or hate it. Thought PM never stood a chance - no money- lack of experience - very unsettled club. Not sure Gary B should be next manager he is doing really well bringing youth through and given our current owner and financial plight a production line of quality can keep us afloat both playing and selling. Remember Paul Hart gave us some great players we gave him the managers job, he did OK at first but got sacked and our academy suffered for several years. With no manager to sack may attract more buyers / investors. Who knows we will wait and see but will still support Nottingham Forest whatever league we are in.

Why oh why would HL want to go to Derby, The only thing he may benefit from is a larger signing on fee. Firstly would he be first choice in the starting line up. Derby not destined to go up and have proved before they stutter in the play off's.

If he was signed I would suspect it would be to free up a couple of Derby players to be sold as their owner in football terms doesn't have that much money (yes I know he is investing more than us but this is not the point) Another thing to think of if you are reading Henri have a look at the career path of a certain Mr Commons ( on loan at hibs)

Didn't Kris Commons score for Celtic on Saturday?

{Ed001's Note - he is on loan at Hibs now isn't he?}

Te bid has been rejected and at no point has lansbury said anything about moving there.

With the spotlight on Lansbury rightly or wrongly this weekend should we play him against Dierby at the weekend ? Will refs be swayed not to give any descesions his way after the nit picking of some football pundits?

By the weekend our Henri will be chip paper news. You do not leave your leader out of the team just because a bunch of mardy Geordies and their Head Waiter cannot accept that on the night they fell short. The scoreboard never lies!

lansbury only doing what the top premier players do and get away with it. fellani does it every game and so do many others and never get a card. same as playing under strength teams in premier. one rule for one and another for championship.

Have been a Nottingham fan for over 50 years and whilst far from happy with our current situation I do feel that some fans seem deluded as to what as a club we can strive to achieve and seem to offer criticism without a thought. When Fawaz took over there wasn't a line of people wanting to buy us the city ground did not resemble the start of the next sale. He put up his own money and has tried rightly or wrongly to do his best for the club. When he forked out the millions I am sure his motive was " I know I'll invest loads of money to ruin a football club" All he has had in return is insults and possibly loosing a sack full of money. So we may have new owners and investment are we going to jump on them at the first opportunity to criticise. I was there in the Clough / Taylor glory days we were very fortunate to get the management we did who brought great things to the club. With today's football things are very different if we get new owners FIFA fair play will stop us spending big for instant success and we are so far behind other clubs it would take another Cloghie to attain greatness. Yes we want to play good football and yes we want to win things and yes we would love to be in Europe something like this may take years or may never happen again in my lifetime. My immediate hope is we get stability, play good football and get some respect back. If we get new ownership let's be sensible they probably won't be the goose with the golden egg. Consortiums rarely are. We need to get behind the Owners, managers and players Let's not critise and suggest a wish list similar to a trip to the moon and back from day one. The longevity of the club I feel is of more importance.

Yet another fan who thinks Fawaz has saved the club by giving us money. He's loaned the money and is intent on getting everything back he put in. Every decision he has made as an owner has been a poor one and he can't keep his nose out of player business. You only have to watch Forest fans fighting each other, and players arguing over who should take a penalty to see what effect he has had on the club - and such things I'm afraid DO reflect the rot at the top, despite others on here trying to deny it. Most of us want to see the back of him for good, and a fresh start with owners who have some inkling what running a Football club means.

2.) 30 Oct 2016 15:15:24
Yep sounds good to me well said me to remembers those glory years happy days😊😊.

3.) 30 Oct 2016 15:28:40
Didn't Lansbury and Britt fall out over a peno the other season when there wasn't all this turmoil having over us? lol. blaming fawaz for mindless fans fighting each other. so not paying players on time hurts the fans tat much they fight? that's brilliant. some fans who think there right get challenged and some can take the challenge and some havnt got the thought process to give it back so use there fists. this is all that is.

4.) 30 Oct 2016 15:54:37
bested. Best comment of the day mate and spot on! You have reflected the view of a lot of fans!

5.) 30 Oct 2016 16:53:03
It doesn't matter if Fawaz loaned the money or gave it. The club needed the money to survive and to progress through buying players etc and paying off debts. The fact that one manager after another bought badly ain't Fawaz's fault. He provided the cash to each manager. If he hadn't fans would have called him for lack of ambition
Now that he provided the money its Miss management. Can't win.

6.) 30 Oct 2016 17:46:44
Not all the players were bought by the managers, remember the 2 Algerian lads? What a waste of money!

7.) 30 Oct 2016 20:06:21
Lol. dought loaned us the money and wanted it back fawaz will do the same and so will the next owners. so why all the moaning about fawaz when the previous owner did the sad me and so will the next.

A win against Rotherham may not have made the headlines but 3 points is better than 1 or none. Look at the results of other clubs who have spent and made big signings. It's also a potential banana skin when a club turns up with 3 ex Forest players. I personally want to see some stability in the club DF has to be given a chance and we have to appreciate the circumstances he is working under with FIFA FP. We are 2/3 games into the season let's look for some positives and get behind our team.

1.) 16 Aug 2015 18:03:37
Whether or anyone likes Df, or not you are spot on.

2.) 16 Aug 2015 19:50:34
Those three players were called poor/crap and useless whilst here so why would we struggle against them.fact is we are poor and have no style of play,no passing no movement and no class.we can't keep relying on Antonio.

3.) 16 Aug 2015 20:53:33
There's clearly a need for improvement. But it could be worse. At least we're not Sunderland.

4.) 16 Aug 2015 22:36:01
Oh but we will keep relying on him because we have no ebb and flow through our pedestrian midfield, we may as play with four centre halves

Think I would have players in running through nettles in shorts. Or get them cleaning the stands each week till they make more effort

Not sure but he is still on the website as giving stadium tours. I think whilst supposed to be an advisor Fawaz took no notice of him. Whilst we are all looking forward to new beginnings I think we should also remember the past and reflect on it as where we want to be in the future ( and no I'm not saying Europe in 3 years) just playing better aiming for premier league and who knows. J McGovern and older ex players can play a big part in gaining recognition for the club especially potentially in the USA.

Fully agree and have had posts saying this in the past, any players from the first team viewing this page need to have a good hard think about their contribution over the last few, give yourselves a good talking to and make your manager and supporters proud of yourselves. Would prefer to see non performing players go / side lined than change the manager.

Well said, we have an owner that put up his own money and let's face it there wasn't a queue of people looking to buy us. I'd much prefer the club to run on a proper financial footing than loads of money injected, boom or bust mentality.
