Took my time opening the computer this morning, on to a sports page, hiding from headlines, straight to results, Nottingham Forest 4, Arsenal 2, OMG, look at all the clips and goals, proud of that performance
The atmosphere in the ground must have been fantastic, you lucky people who were there, I saw some Arsenal fan clips who were complimentary to us too
Was Warburton watching I wonder?
Good interview with Brazil at the end, thought he was very modest
Skill is needed but mindset and motivation are a necessary part of all players, to me it showed
COYR.

Hmm, many many comments about the departures, and Rangers lads 'told you so'
I sat on the fence but do think now its correct, he couldn't be trusted to spend monies on more weak players
Replacement? Whoever, can't be worse surely?
I think the club should give out a truthful statement about McParland too. Pushed? Fed up? Differences? We were promised openess remember?
Happy Hogmanhay Eds, if you have thick heads today your own fault!
MWs' special (good Scots dream team:
(Goalkeeper) Can't think of one, anybody, if you follow the drift below
McInally Doig Young Hutton
Fraser Mahood McKinnon Rice
Jess Wallace
Subs
Gareth Williams (Hong Kong, 2002, Vogts gave permission for him to have dinner with the 30 or so members of the NFFC Supporters HK branch, confirmed by phone, he never showed up! W****r
Tommy Gemmell Asa Hartford Gary Holt Lee Glover
Yes, I could also do a true best Scots lads too
Happy New Year Forest Reds, things can only get better - maybe
No jokes Redinexile, think you are MW in disguise and in mourning haha
COYR.

{Ed001's Note - happy new year tt, I hope 2018 is a good one for you and all the people who read the site. Happy New Year to you all.}

1.) 01 Jan 2018 08:15:23
Cheers Ed, I hope for you too a great 2018, keep up the great work

{Ed001's Note - thanks mate, it has got off to a good start, hopefully be a better one than 2017 at least!}

{Ed001's Note - nothing else came through mate. }

5.) 14 Dec 2017 00:48:33
What Ed, did it get snowed in? Never mind
I looked at Redinexile and StokeyRed profiles, saw both must be from my era judging by their favourite players, mine at that time would have been Henry Newton
Another joke (for the Eds, come on lads its Christmas, smile) -
I was playing Football Manager on my PC when I was offered the Scotland job. I knew it was a poor squad with no future, so I declined the offer. I then put the telephone down and returned to Football Manager.
BTW, is there not a limit to the numbers of use of the word 'fornicator'? Wisheyeddove must have used up a years worth but his comments were pretty good actually
Merry Christmas all and steady on the sherry!

{Ed001's Note - we did look at putting a limit on the use of the word fornicator, but Wishey keeps smashing it before we can get it in place.}

I'm 61 this month Trevor! Saw my first Forest match when I was 9 and remember that great team of 1967 grumitt hindley Winfield,Hennessey,McKinley,Newton Lyons Barnwell,Storey Moore,Baker,wignall . We d have done the double that year but Labone nobbled Joe Baker when we beat Everton 3 _2 fa cup 6th round. I was in the Trent End with my dad and I swear to God when Moore scored the 3rd I jumped up and my feet didn't reach the ground for about 5 minutes because the crowd was so tightly packed! Have a great Christmas Trevor!

2.) 15 Dec 2017 23:52:34
I had a better view of that great game from standing on the floodlight pylon at the Bridgford Road End!

Trev, I got a similar call from some twat called Ford from the Welsh FA for the manager's job. I had to explain to him why a Forest fan would never want a job herding Ovis aries fornicators even if the do play in red?

3.) 16 Dec 2017 01:41:19
Yep, I'm 66 and remember that game against Everton, I was in the Bridgford End too. 'Mugsy' Moore tore them apart, that's why United came calling later.
Thanks for the note Ed, wishing you all a great family Christmas and many points for the New Year.
Happy Birthday Stokey Red and glad to hear you turned down the Welsh FA Redinexile
More memories - we hammered Sheff Weds 7-1 at their place, I was in their Directors box for game. Drinks after was fun - 'I'll just have a 7 Up please"
'Again, how many dwarfs did Snow White have?'

{Ed0333's Note - happy days Trevor

Hi all
Didn't watch the game on iFollow, was tucked up in bed afer my cocoa, it was bit late for an oldy like me
Sunday morning routine:
Get up, take the dog out, put the kettle on, open BBC Sport for results, carefully not looking at others until I scroll to Forest, open up, read report
Oh dear, another leaky defence job
Read the banter page, watch the highlights (? ), more absolute awful defending, and then onto Matchday with Max
The space we give some attackers is criminal, fundemental defending is at least being close to your man, even a low level football you see that
Summary? Lucky that Bolton didn't get a draw, is there somethng wrong with our training?
One for Redinexile:
How many Manchester United fans does it take to change a lightbulb?
Three - the first to change the light bulb, the second to buy the commemorative Manchester United Light bulb Change DVD, and the third to drive the other two back to London.
Good luck with the snow, dropped to 25 C here, brrrh!

1.) 10 Dec 2017 11:17:10
Lol,brilliant Man u joke there Trevor love it!

2.) 10 Dec 2017 16:05:45
Trev
I see Southgate is lining up a friendly against Iceland as a World Cup warm up? If we win that one he then intends to play Tesco and Asda before the finals!

3.) 10 Dec 2017 22:27:45
Great stuff Redinexile,keep em coming fellow trickies!

4.) 13 Dec 2017 02:24:54
Tried to keep them coming but my last submission didn't appear (Ed?)
I don't want to think that Redinexile was ignored
Warburton? Not sure, I'll give him until early February before I decide.The rest of his month and January will be key in results and new faces COYR

{Ed001's Note - nothing else came through mate.}

Another very good signing at an almost laughable price in todays market.
Me, I'm expecting play-offs as a minimum and will be booking my flights to suit
Ed - you never answered whether I could post a contact? In any case if there are other Forest Reds in the Philippines please look up my place - Jotay Resort, as far north as you can go. Please get in touch.

I've seen him on tv regularly in Asia playing for the Aussies, believe me he's still got it
Scores goals, winds up defences, no worries!

I can’t support Liverpool even though they are a British team.
Their comments when we turfed them out of Europe in 1979 became spiteful in 1980 when Keegan was playing at Hamburg, wishing us to lose.
Even the press went on and on about it, how great if an Englishman was to pick up a second European winners medal but with a different club
Vamos Real!

Sorry Eds, can't agree, standing has been done in Germany for years, have a look at Dortmunds famous yellow wall
As pointed out, you can buy a seat and stand all game as everyone in front is doing it
The answer is small controlled areas
Its not like the old days of Kops where people peed down because the toilets were non existent
And yes, I was at Hillsborough too, and yes there was incompetence, not just the 3 mentioned above but a complete lack of stewardship too

Yes, whilst all you guys are tucked up in bed I very, very tentatively opened up the results on my Sunday morning.Correct, we did win 2-0 at top team Wolves, amazing, not at all expected. From all reports the way we played was excellent too. Correct again Retford, this is what supporting Forest is all about, big, big smile all day long from me

What a turn and pass from our No.9 to Rice. I'm behind the goal somewhere. Anyone remember the police 'escorting' us to the station and being ambushed with kicks and fists all the way? Good feeling though, like you guys had on Sunday
