Fawaz saying after a striker who potentially could make us top six side, wonder who it could be? In same article says vydra and oliviera been linked, Campbell was linked to other week too, any ideas?

ureds123

1.) 10 Aug 2016 22:03:53
i would rather go for vydra or oliviera, oliviera more likely as he was onloan last season.

2.) 10 Aug 2016 22:15:48
Id like to see some money spent on someone like will grigg.

3.) 10 Aug 2016 22:18:06
patrick bamford
is coming home.

4.) 11 Aug 2016 08:28:28
Why did we get Velios? We have Britt (main striker) then imo poor back ups in Blackstock, Veldwijk, Vellios. If we get another striker then need to off load one of the above. Norwich I have heard are upping the offer for Britt to 12 million. We really need to keep Britt, he is our main man.

5.) 11 Aug 2016 09:13:47
Horses for courses. Sometimes we're going to need a bigger physical player on account of how the opposition set up.

6.) 11 Aug 2016 12:14:16
I'm slightly worried that having read the articles on the NP, Fawaz may do a deal behind the back of our new Manager, Mr Montanier and sell Britt with a possible loan back for the season "a la" what he did to Pearce with Lascalles and Darlow. I felt then that all trust between Manager (Pearce) and the owner fell apart and it was the beginning of the end for Pearce even at that early stage. I hope Fawaz has learned something from that debacle and he will leave all the decision making regarding the playing staff solely to the Manager he has employed to do that job.
Time will tell but whatever happens, let's all get behind the team and hope for a bit of luck this season eh?

7.) 11 Aug 2016 13:40:03
We would be a far better prospect for any investor if we could show that during the next 8 games, we are a top six club. If FAH can claim to do that then we might have people queueing up to invest? He may be trying to do that, however from the look of the people who have been brought in both management and player-wise it looks like someone with international knowledge is pulling some strings?

8.) 11 Aug 2016 13:54:54
It's Peter Odemwingie.

9.) 11 Aug 2016 14:41:38
Odemwingie is about 48 years old. Hope not.

10.) 11 Aug 2016 14:59:29
What, the Incredible Sulk? no thanks:)

11.) 11 Aug 2016 15:08:17
Every player has a price no matter what club he plays for, if someone comes in for Britt or any of our squad with an offer that is a great deal for both club and player they will go, we are no different than any other club and have sold our best players to bigger clubs in the past, yes fans are disappointed I was gutted when we sold collymore but football is a business, players will come and go but i will still love this club.

12.) 11 Aug 2016 17:17:54
SVC has said he should have stayed within longer, taking the money isn, t always for the best for both parties!
CARLO.

13.) 11 Aug 2016 18:23:51
would of could of should of, collymore left for a better deal we lost one of the best players to ever play at the city ground and got 8.5 million for him, his only regret is that he didn't make the most of his talent when he left.

14.) 11 Aug 2016 18:51:10
Would be very happy with either of the rumoured three, Campbell would likely be loan with view to perm, vrydra only problem is loan fee 2.5 mill last season, and oliveria could be perm but depends what they want and obviously his wages, need someone similar to assombalonga mould as we don't have another player with his attributes, Lars Dex and vellios for target men, fryatt is all round but most like to just be impact sub when back, walker prob go on loan so need another Britt.

15.) 11 Aug 2016 19:39:59
So Norwich are going to buy Britt and loan him back? No chance
Lower end Premier clubs are going to do the same? Britt needs to prove his fitness.
Get Real
If Bolaise can command a fee of £30m as a hit and miss winger then Britt is now worth £20m as natural goal scorer in this crazy transfer world!

We need Oliveria back on loan to blend the forward line and link play?

Hi guys how's it going fellow reds :)
Looking forward to seeing what progress we hopefully can make under mark warburton, feeling optimistic but keeping level headed and realistic too, just scraping survival by the skin of our teeth last season should now give us a final warning that no matter how big a club we may have been or still are no one is too good to go down, look at Wolves a few years back and the fall from grace Portsmouth and Blackpool had.
I am hoping that the encouraging signs we saw towards the end of last season is just a little glimps of what could behold this upcoming year, there's no reason why we can't go form relegation battle to a promotion race look at Huddersfield last year, would have been in most bookies odds for relegation candidates, it's all about consistency and a bit of luck along the way, think the squad definitely needs four or five more fresh faces, Cummings hopefully can add something different, anyone in a red shirt deserves a chance and maybe he can chip in with some important goals, if Mahoney does arrive then I feel we need a versatile defender or right back as we have no natural cover for lichaj, a first choice left back it traore has fitness concerns, we need a midfield general in there McDonald would be a great pick up, still think we need a winger with some real raw pace and power unless ariyibri has something in him, and another striker in the mould of vellios If he goes as a plan b striker when playing on the floor doesn't work as it won't work out every game, what do yo guys think we need? Cheers u reds!

Team for tomorrow
Henderson
Lichaj mills manciene fox
Burke kasami Cohen Lansbury ward
Assombalonga
2-1 or 2-2 with Britt scoring two or kasami grabbing a wonder strike
Seeing fox back and with traore not yet 100% I can see fox getting the nod lichaj comes in for more defensive solidity, mills and manciene for power and pace, Burke for threat and ward to fight the other side to open up space for fox to whip some balls in kasami and Lansbury will push foreword with Cohen sitting back, assombalonga just doing what he does best scoring then smiling come on you reds!

ureds123

1.) 15 Aug 2016 22:19:40
Perquis is going to be our rock at the back so MM holding for Cohen unless you play him at left back?

2.) 15 Aug 2016 22:21:30
Sounds good to me ureds but i'm thinking at least 4 for us tmoz coyr.

3.) 15 Aug 2016 22:27:57
I'd put Cohen at LB and bring in Vaughan at DM.

4.) 15 Aug 2016 23:26:50
I don't rate what I've seen of Perquis so far.
I know he needs time to adapt to life in the championship but I'd rather go with Manc Mills and even Fox. Hope to be proved wrong.

5.) 16 Aug 2016 10:05:08
Just don't play LICHAJ. Just don't.

13 Aug 2016 13:03:48
Brighton showed their class last night and taught us that we are miles apart from being in the same class as them and those around them pushing for promotion, we have a very good squad on paper as usual but can't always seem to show that on the pitch, I hope that Montainia is just testing different ideas out and isn't going to tinker so much constant, with player slowly coming back from injury he needs to pick the best and most experienced, no problem with sometimes dropping the like of Vaughan and Cohen to the bench because of age and injury records fair enough, but hopefully by the end of the month he has the squad he wants and can try to stick to a similar 11 most weeks unless we have 3 games in a week, burnley stuck with the same team and won the league last year an went up with same plan before.
Hoping a keeper comes in quick would love konstantopolos from Middlesbrough, perfect replacement, Greek too ;)
Pereira would be better used as a right winger away from home one run last night saw him go past five players, traore should start Tuesday liked the look of him but would love pinillos there again, manciene should start again with mills and when fit I would have Hobbs there, kasami I a different class and for me is potentially our best player all round new guedioura, need keeper and striker and see what happens from there.

ureds123

1.) 13 Aug 2016 13:19:04
Ureds 123. " mirrors my post earlier and spot on with your views in my opinion! So that's at least 2 of us with a realistic view of our current situation!

2.) 13 Aug 2016 14:52:44
We have an ok squad not very good.
I think last night we might have been better playing pereira right wing and burke as an out and out centre forward
He would have done more than lars.

3.) 13 Aug 2016 15:52:06
To be fair for Lars I feel he would be best moving on, when the ball did manage to drop for him he didn't do anything wrong with it just didn't have enough players around him to feed the ball too, some occasions he did lack desire when he didn't jump nor move for the challenge, I'd say try and get 1 mill off someone from Holland and just get our money back, vellios will hopefully be better, and blackstock.

11 Aug 2016 21:27:23
Very tough game tomorrow, definitely would take a point, they are even stronger this season but I hope that we are too, hopefully the team will come to fruition over the coming months as it faces different tests, I expect a couple more senior players in comparison with the burton game, start for kasami? Cohen ward and Vaughan will hope to be involved again too, would like to see Manc start too with mills, lam would be better as cdm tbh, once Hobbs fryatt black stock pinillos plus new striker come in going to be very tough to pick best eleven, but with the rigours of the league should be chance for players to show what they have when we rotate, team and score predictions?
I go for
Henderson
Peiera mills Manc traore
Burke kasami Lansbury cash or Cohen Osborn
Assombalonga 4-5-1
2-2 assombalonga and Burke.

ureds123

1.) 11 Aug 2016 21:45:18
Our manager seems to favour 4-1-4-1 formation, off course some think formations mean nothing, but most managers have a preferred formation.

Cue ibm.

2.) 11 Aug 2016 21:56:31
Yeah that's the formation I was looking for :D Lansbury holding with kasami and cash/ Cohen ahead, wouldn't mind seeing Paterson either but may be better option from the bench.

3.) 11 Aug 2016 22:07:31
It's like having my very own stalker 🙈.

4.) 11 Aug 2016 22:08:43
I'd go for: Henderson Pereira Mills Mancienne Traore Burke Lansbury Vaughan Kasami Ward Assombalonga.

5.) 11 Aug 2016 22:14:30
I'd go for:

Henderson

Pereira
PERQUIS
MANCIENNE
Traore

Lam

O BURKE
LANSBURY
Kasami
Ward

Britt.

6.) 11 Aug 2016 22:31:22
he not start mancienne not played any mins yet he could of started at Doncaster but didn't think he will go will the poll
Pereira mills poll traore
burke Lansbury cohen {me}
britt.

7.) 11 Aug 2016 22:53:55
Same team as mjb. Get the older heads back in for this one.

8.) 11 Aug 2016 23:13:48
Lams had a shaky start, there's potential there, but a starting berth at DM away at brighton ain't a good idea in my opinion.

Henderson
Pereira Mills Perquis Cohen
Lansbury
Burke Kasami Osborn Traore
Britt.

9.) 11 Aug 2016 23:20:45
Score predictions? Mine is 3-0 to the Seagulls with all the usual suspects scoring.
Lua lua will have his usual best game of the season against us and then disappear for the remainder of the campaign again.
Lewis "Slam" Dunk will tower above Mills and power one in from a set piece.
Knockaert will terrorise whoever plays at left back for us and register on the score sheet.
Hope i'm wrong though.

10.) 12 Aug 2016 01:08:19
I fancy vaughan fordm ! Hendo pierra mills perquios traore vaughan burke lansbury cohen ward britt kasami and osborn for lansbury cohen 2nd half.

11.) 12 Aug 2016 06:42:29
2-1 forest kasami and britt.

12.) 12 Aug 2016 08:28:52
I'm almost with Cjay.

Would however drop BO for this one and move Lansbury into the middle with Vaughan in front of the back four.

10 Aug 2016 21:52:48
Local paper also reckons that not only assombalonga been bidded for but apparently 8 million rejected from unamed prem club for Oliver Burke.

ureds123

1.) 11 Aug 2016 10:30:30
Could be arsenal. We're interested. He's going nowhere, sod off money clubs, he's staying with the passion.
