Some years ago when one of the teams had suffered a bad defeat people would say "they couldn,t beat the cripples guild "
If we keep signing all these old legs we,ll be turning into the guild!
Got nearly 11 players 30 or more now ,how ,s such as Ryan Yates ever going to get their chance ,he,s got legs!

Is it a good idea to re-sign Dawson at 34? If we do, who will he be paired with? Tobias F almost for sure. Who will leave? Fox has just been given a new contract so presumably he's next cab on the rank. Hobbs is too injury-prone so he'll probably be shown the door, Mancienne is inconsistent - he can be excellent but also has terrible games. That leaves Worrall. Can't see him sitting in the dug out game after game so he will most likely be cashed in this summer.

Hobby is too injury prone, look at some of the players we are linked to including Dawson. I suggest we get more physios in for next season.

So the Cardiff SAS mug us yet again. Actually, thought we were the best side much of the game but until we get some ariel ability and serious physicality at the back and sheer determination to be first to the ball nothing will change. Why Fig was replaced by the awful Mancienne baffles me. Joe Lolley impressed, I think he is going to be a brilliant signing as Fig will next season. Bridcutt made a valid point to AK but if we want progress he is going to have to be ruthless imo with getting some poor players out of the club and some quality additions in. Easy to put that on a keyboard, hell of a job in reality.

Fig had an injury or something as he signalled the bench to come off

Just watched the sky highlights- I’m pretty sure they offer a fair balance . How did we not leave with a point? Inability of our players to produce an end product our undoing again. Osborn lacks any end product, he can’t defend either so we can use the excuse that he’s a defender and end product shouldn’t be expected. If he had end product we’d have a tidy little player

As you know 2star I was there and it was incredibly frustrating and sky highlights only serve to back that up. Right up to Manciennes bungled defending I still really felt we were on top of the game.
Osbourne is a tricky one really and without doubt the use of him as a left back should have been stopped a few games ago as he is now being found out through no fault of his.
He has a lot of games under his belt now and bearing in mind its over 3 years since he scored the winner against the sheep i would have hoped perhaps that he would be scoring more goals than he does and yes I agree his end product is lacking eg crosses though I would never question his endeavour and commitment but is that always enough ?
Last night he was funnily enough in a very similar position as he was against Derby but hesisitated a little and went for a pass and as i'm sure you saw on sky the move petered out to nothing .
We do seem reluctant as a side to just put a foot through the ball when the target is in sight which was something Dowell did when he first arrived BUT I am not advocating his return with three games left. ( The same goes for all the loan players who we are unlikely to sign for either performance or financial reasons )

In closing

From now on the results don’t matter. We need to see what all the players we are keeping can do and start drafting in those from the U23’s who look promising, and then no doubt AK will bring in who and what is needed.

That’ll be none from the U23’s then!

" Aitor Karanka must give Nottingham Forest an identity in order to turn the cycle of hope into actual achievement ".

This is a headline from the Nottingham Post.
Words fail me as quite frankly we have an identity thank you.
We are Nottingham Forest FC.
What a waste of ink as the saying goes and no I did not read the article

If you did read it you would have seen it refers to finding a playing style that makes us successful, when you keep changing your manager it is not possible.

Headlines are, I think, supposed to draw you in not annoy you.
Who could resist " FOREST SUNK BY JAP SUB " ( one for the teenagers there. Google it :) ).

The sub must have had a lot of Wagyu, and the Wasabi been very powerful.

Didn't do Cologne much good though did it. Ha.
Would you be allowed to print JAP in these politically correct days?

Hope we sign pants as wasn't impressed with the Greek keeper stuck on his line no strength when we needed a commanding presence in the air. Rabbit in the head lights or just a bad game. And yeah I know he was getting blocked but it nothing new for a keeper at any level. Thoughts?

Personally I was horrified at the strong-arm tactics that Cardiff employed. As for the Icelandic thug who pinned our goalie down so that he couldn't move, he'd have been arrested if it had happened off the field. You can't convince me that it wasn't a foul and that the second 'goal' should have been disallowed

I wasn't overly impressed with Kapino but it was his first game. Better to judge him after a few matches rather than just the one.

i thought gunnarson did nothing wrong, just stood his ground, it highlighted how bad forest were at talking to each other and no leader taking charge, what defence leaves an opponent on the keeper?

watched on sky yest and dispite a seeminly anti-forest commentator (not sure if it was Prutton) I thought we were the better side-difference we got out jumped and bullied. for me we have the basis there but need a Pierce, a Lloyd (Dawson maybe) and a Colleymore and then I recon we can go up and say hallo/ goodbye to Cardiff on their way down. ps Mancienne got caught again which led to free kick which led to their 2nd.
