Who hopes Leicester win their legal battle.
If they do, forest may have somewhere to go with their case.
We can only hope.

Not me let them rot. Don't rely on anyone but ourselves. If we're not good enough so be it.

22 Mar 2024 18:45:46
Wishing Kate a full recovery. lovely girl.

22 Mar 2024 18:49:24
No hope they get done
Both the premier and EFL have charged them and now under a transfer embargo
Should not be allowed promotion.

Just saw on Facebook a post saying that in a survey of the best home supported teams a Spurs fan said Forest had by far the best support from home fans and he had been to all grounds. Then slagged off all the so-called big clubs with their cavernous grounds with no atmosphere. Surprised Anfield was heavily criticised.

22 Mar 2024 14:50:10
Don't think anyone is surprised at all mate.

22 Mar 2024 14:50:14
Hasn't the atmosphere died somewhat since Cooper left.

22 Mar 2024 15:48:46
Def different atmosphere since cooper went

To be honest think most prem games have rubbish atmosphere, I'd heard all bout St james park n on first visit on boxing day it was poor

Liverpool never been great atmosphere imo been there few times just the media love in that hypes it up

What we had last season was unique to the prem which is why we stayed up n everyone kept talking bout it, but we now as bad as most other grounds.

22 Mar 2024 16:20:20
Red stripe it was good against the scousers.

22 Mar 2024 16:51:20
I have always liked the atmosphere at Fulham and qpr
Think those teams having small old style compact grounds leads to a better atmosphere.

22 Mar 2024 17:07:33
The atmosphere is nowhere near what it used to be. It was unique in all of the 56 years I've been going.
There was one reason for that. A manager who completely understood our club.
It doesn't matter ofcourse if you like to sit on a recliner, watching the match on a dodgy firestick or on your mobile phone.
If you are a City ground regular, you will notice on most occasions its not the same anymore.

22 Mar 2024 18:51:35
Gazz don't post like everyone has options, sadly I've only been able to get to two games this season. Unfortunately, my good friend is loved up now. the real point is for me, i still have my tv turned up full and listen out for the hopeful. Just saying.

22 Mar 2024 19:14:15
Left Notts in 1984, so most of my Forest matches were away. Palace was quite good with decent fans who would happily applaud good football from either team. Stamford Bridge was dull in 1989 and very tatty. The old Brighton ground was lively as was Upton Park back in the day.

22 Mar 2024 22:48:54
I know where you live Bowie. I also know you're a real fan and would go more if you could. I'm not criticising you at all pal.
You don't brag about not going. Some on here do though.

21 Mar 2024 21:18:24
Neco Williams has scored as many goals for Wales in 90 mins as Forest have scored in well over 500 minutes of football. Good goal!

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Mar 2024 21:42:52
You make it sound so bad cyclist ?? over 270 minutes of that we only let 3 goals in one against man utd 1 against Liverpool and 1 against Brighton and we didn't score against them so we lost one nil in each of them games not that bad at all really when you think about the teams we played ?.

21 Mar 2024 22:20:02
Get him on free kicks n corners worth a go changing it

Different note anyone else seen that nike changed the colour of St George's Cross on the England kit

Shocking because they associate georges cross with right wing and football lads

Wouldn't wear it anyway but would get kids a top for the euros. No chance now n plenty others will feel the same.

22 Mar 2024 01:08:59
Design changed by an American company, wonder what would happen if you messed with there flag?.

22 Mar 2024 10:57:49
Exactly Barron.
But I'm more annoyed with our weak as p! so FA and government for allowing anyone to change our flag.
No where else in the world would this happen.

22 Mar 2024 12:04:13
Gazz, Lost interest in England since Southgate took over, there seems to be another agenda going on, which is more important than our national team?.

22 Mar 2024 16:21:43
Skegs, if you aren't worried after only scoring one goal in over 500 minutes, you don't understand the rules mate. You can't actually win a game without scoring. ??.

22 Mar 2024 16:23:34
I'd give someone else a go at corners and FKs Redstripe. Whatever we have been doing isn't working. Madness is doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome.

22 Mar 2024 17:54:54
He can't do any worse than MGW.

22 Mar 2024 18:51:07
Murrilo for me could be next Pearce.

22 Mar 2024 21:41:12
He won't be at Forest for long enough to find out, JS. He'll be here till the summer. Can't see him being with us beyond that.

22 Mar 2024 22:16:40
Only one psycho js mate, along with des walker.

23 Mar 2024 04:29:17
Johnny Metgod was good at free kicks, plus had the perfect name ??.

23 Mar 2024 14:13:10
He should have changed his name to Johnny MetClough!

21 Mar 2024 21:05:12
Reading through the posts over the last few days and a wave of optimism seems apparent- one that we will win enough games to survive. Whilst I hope that is the case, we need to remember this team we have struggles to score goals and can’t defend- especially against set pieces. If I were any coach playing us I would make sure Forest were pressured not so much in and around our box but generally on each wing of the final third. An inability to defend such set pieces is glaringly obvious and something Nuno can’t seem to correct.
With us offering little threat up front, opposing teams can be safe to overload such areas to good effect. That’s just an honest observation. Man Utd did that well in the last 10 minutes of the FA Cup match.
So either Nuno comes up with some sort of offensive plan to mitigate this problem or we will continue to struggle. After all the best form of defence is attack. It’s down to the coach now, and sadly I don’t think he has it in his locker to sort out these problems.

Agree5 Disagree0

21 Mar 2024 21:21:24
Good post froggy son ?.

21 Mar 2024 21:31:13
Lol redfrog so the best form of defence is attack after nearly a season and half of parking the bus that you was happy with best statement of the year ??.

21 Mar 2024 21:41:03
So the best form of defence is attack then skeggs?
Brian clough would argue with that
His philosophy was to build from the back and have a solid defence first
And you can't argue with the greatest.

21 Mar 2024 22:08:22
Thank you DTP ? you've just agreed with what I said to redfrog I love you agreeing with me now I will sleep well nighty night.

22 Mar 2024 05:14:44
It’s a philosophy Skegs that most decent coaches have. Attack first, and let the opponent worry about stopping you, rather than the other way round. Sadly perhaps you and Nuno don’t quite grasp that facet of football.
Cooper did what he could with the dross the club accumulated as playing staff. Nuno is hardly doing any better is he? In fact I would say we are worse under Nuno, the heart has been ripped out of the club and the team spirit seems rather poor to me.

22 Mar 2024 07:49:55
Frog again you've completely lost me so your saying attacking football is best form of defence and cooper couldn't do that with the dross he had but Nuno should be able to ?? 2nd best comment of the year.

22 Mar 2024 09:35:00
Skegs your either a bit simple or trolling ?. The club is in a worse state now than when cooper was in charge. The team has no cohesion, the fans not together and behind the team. Nuno looks clueless and to be honest disinterested. But let’s not let facts get in the way.

22 Mar 2024 10:00:22
I don't after put a comment to that redfrog like I said your 2 comments above the one you just put show how clueless you are mate and still make no sense whatsoever.

22 Mar 2024 10:33:57
Actually skegs red frog has a valid point. You don’t see Man City sitting back, there on the attack from the first whistle. Just as long as your defence is in tune with the flow of the game and can see a possible break down in the attack and get back in numbers, there’s no reason for it not to work. But I’m afraid nuno lacks vision. Please correct me if I’m wrong but has he ever tried to connect to the fans, I can’t remember on any occasion.

22 Mar 2024 11:14:15
Oh my god it must be me a season and half under cooper of parking the bus with the same players Nuno has and you was happy with cooper playing defensive football now you want attacking football ??? and works both ways with the fans I'm off to give my head a wobble enjoy this conversation between yourselves because you've lost me.

22 Mar 2024 11:59:15
The REALfans loved cooper win or loose he always showed his appreciation to us. We’ve the heart ripped out of our club, and your correct it is a two way street, and when nuno shows a little love and more importantly gets his head around how much the club means to us, then i'd hope that two way street can be re opened. Coopers gone but he will never be forgotten.

22 Mar 2024 15:46:26
Absolutely Red Vale. Agree 100%
Don’t let Skegs get to you mate, some think on here that he’s a troll and most probably a Leicester or Derby fan in disguise. But he’s off to give his head a wobble so that’s ok. ? keep wobbling Skegs?
In the real world of Premier league football you’re completely correct- Nuno has done very little since arriving apart from moaning and whining. If he were to achieve what Cooper has achieved the fans would love him. But talking to many people they don’t.

21 Mar 2024 19:48:25
Apparently, we only need to raise 30 million by July to cover what we overspent. With the sale of Mangala to Lyon for 25 there's no need to panic. Plus some big earners out of contract and loans including Montiel and Reyna ect going back it will clear the books a bit. Also a new deal possible for Boly and Olana on the table.
Your right Skeggy Jay Forest holding out for at least 50 million each for MGW and Murrilo and they reckon the latter will eventually be worth 70 million so aren't going to have the proverbial pants pulled down with low ball offers if they need to sell. Suppose it also depends if they want to go aswell, which is par for the course for most clubs anyway.
So no need for panic Mr Mannering. PIKEY.

21 Mar 2024 21:01:45
Cheers Clough and I would agree at least 70 for Murllo not like I would want to see him go.

21 Mar 2024 21:25:32
What we doing now skeggs playing manoply?
Well your bin dipper lawyers have missed a "LOOPHOLE"?????.

21 Mar 2024 21:57:04
Anyway I'm off to sleep DTP love to stay up and debate about things that your usually wrong about but I get so bored with being right all the time with you night night my little Derbyshire pal ?.

21 Mar 2024 22:10:04
What's up skeggs you ran out of cans?

22 Mar 2024 07:53:10
Morning DTP happy Friday pal ?.

21 Mar 2024 21:08:49
Well overdue
Scum of a club
Caused everything and have always got away with it
What you got to say now skeggs about their clever lawyers? ??.

21 Mar 2024 21:20:04
There clever lawyers have put it off till next season when there in the premier league and stopped it happening this season while in championship so delayed it very good tactics from good lawyers pal ?.

21 Mar 2024 22:46:00
Great see where your real allegiance lies skeggs, but I've never doubted that your a bin dipper.

21 Mar 2024 15:52:00
Burnley away to stay up. Are the players up for it? Probably the only VAR to go our way, their goal disallowed for hand ball. I pray we don't need that win. ?.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Mar 2024 16:32:34
Scouse it happened right in front of ‘A” block VAR gave the correct decision, the Burnley player carried the ball forward with his arm in the build up,

21 Mar 2024 16:49:41
It's totally down to players and coach now Scouse I'm really hoping it doesn't go to that game but it would be the forest way don't think I would be sitting in my recliner for much of that game if it came to it.

21 Mar 2024 17:55:16
Cheers Balloons, "Set Piece Coach"?!
Sir Brian would have "Set" him on his way out of the WFCG!
With a sore arse!

21 Mar 2024 18:38:25
Absolutely rogie mate and quite right.
Marinakas looking at moving to Toton mate. Born and bred there. Nice little village 7 miles from city centre. Perfect location right next to M1 easy for every body. Wack a 50, 000 seater there and everybody can get a ticket ?.

21 Mar 2024 18:49:40
No good moving to Toton
There's nothing around the sidings
No pubs nothing and it's not a village, never has been, joined up with long eaton, Chilwell and Attenborough, which is a village.

21 Mar 2024 19:42:21
Won't be built in our life time. Years of planning and objections then the whole side not just where the stadium would be built will have to be decontaminated as it's a brown field site. There's a 100years of coal oil diesel and lord knows what else is dumped there. The cost wouldn't be sustainable. If you think we're in the brown stuff now you wait and see if it gets built.

21 Mar 2024 19:49:12
Can you imagine how much a season ticket would be. Well the cheapest seats for a adult in Fulham New stand is 1, 250pounds going up to 3, 000 pounds. Think about it.

21 Mar 2024 22:48:14
It would not matter if it was a pound red Vale it would still be to much to get skeggs and balloons off the sofa.

21 Mar 2024 13:36:12
We need to employ the best set piece coach in the business as a matter of some urgency.

Our lack of awareness at corners and free kicks is quite frankly embarrassing both full backs should cover a post each and the centre half's should mark space with the defensive mids picking up the runners it's not rocket science it's something Cloughie drilled into his teams from the first to the last minutes.

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Mar 2024 14:01:10
We shouldn't need a bloody set piece coach!
These guys are highly paid Professionals, and have played football since probably 6 or 7 years old?
Absolutely pathetic excuses for not clearing your bloody lines!

21 Mar 2024 15:43:50
Happy Birthday Sir Brian. read his quote on the Club Twitter Account.
Ironic quote from an Iconic Boss. RIP.

21 Mar 2024 15:46:48
The defending from free kicks and corners is a psychological problem, it's like Eric Bristow couldn't release a dart when playing, as a unit we have a problem. At the moment we should try nothing fancy or "AVE it", the Peter Kay tactic ?.

21 Mar 2024 15:47:13
Bang on Rogie, Bravo buddy. They are in the club academy's at 8 years of age. Do nothing for years but kick a ball. But come Saturday and another £50, 000 in the bank They can't string two passes together. They will be wanting a backside wiping coach next. Make ya sick ?.

21 Mar 2024 15:47:36
We employed a guy called rusk who apparently has rarely been seen with the first team since Nuno took over. I don't understand this float it into the box nonsense. Whip it in with pace and power like Ward Prowse like Beckham used to do it only needs a touch then to hit the target. Don't understand why more players don't watch and learn from this. Mot only have we conceded the most set piece goals we only 4 from set pieces, Luton have 13.

21 Mar 2024 15:47:43
Rogie. Big for big in my day, shirt tight. Too many free headers and no one shouting 'get tight'. Basics are letting us down.

21 Mar 2024 11:12:25
Looking at the game at spurs on April 8th at 8:00 a clock, it will be a logistic nightmare for Nottingham Forest supporters, tube strike, railway on a work to rule!, For the support that make it, I hope the team put as much effort into getting a positive result.

21 Mar 2024 13:30:46
Really looking forward to that game balloons it's great when the games are on at that time work done beer chilled recliner up dream days mate ?.

21 Mar 2024 15:43:28
Thing is Ed and Barron, they actually think they are being clever, funny and they think they wind people up.
They couldn't be more wrong.
There are many words to describe the pair of them but you wouldn't post them ( and rightly so).

21 Mar 2024 15:49:42

21 Mar 2024 17:22:02

A guy called mark and we used to have the pub pretty much to ourselves
It was only when it closed did we move pubs to sea view.

20 Mar 2024 19:21:55
Arter and clattenburg first two out for me, should buy a new ball boy and lady steward fending off leeds supporters if it comes to it.
Remember west ham bringing in psycho, we know where his heart is.
If your going to bring in people to bring in supportive contributions then give that young man a chance.

The WFCG needs something to look up to. Manager and players are struggling to do it. Also the owner bless him on wrong decisions.
It's the and sorry for the cliche, eye of the tiger we need. Players can't go in hard these days. But there work rate and positional sense can be highlighted from the master. Away fans will never change, can't tell ya how proud i am of them. One for stokey, i Remember the yanks using the italian mafia as a massive influence as they invaded. 20 Mar 2024 20:44:54
Red vale my friend, his old man had peter taylor, I've brought it up many times. We all know sir brian was the ultimate in discipline and keeping feet on the ground. But them days are gone. nigel for me. Without doubt served his apprenticeship. But it's sadly in the premier, old school has beens who somehow get the jobs. I actually think nigel would agree with me saying he's done more than enough for us on the pitch. And should stay well clear of the misgivings going on atm. Just my opinion.

20 Mar 2024 20:48:35
Those ships sailed along time ago

20 Mar 2024 21:38:47
Yes you're probably right, I think he's on a mission with Mansfield. Balloons why are you so rude to people?, your not a child and I'm sure your a decent person so show some humanity. We're only on this earth for a short while so try and enjoy it.

20 Mar 2024 23:05:41

21 Mar 2024 10:51:56
Good reply Red Vale.
You will pick out the genuine from the wind up merchants on here quickly enough I'm sure mate.

21 Mar 2024 14:30:01
Bowie, my friend, in answer to your question mate about the Allies accommodation of the Mafia during the Sicily invasion, yes I was aware of it mate. In fact I recently read Paul Holland s excellent book “The Savage Storm” about the invasion of Italy in 1943, where it’s documented. It was a pragmatic policy approved by all the top brass right up to Eisenhower, Montgomery and Churchill. Our leaders were wise people in those days.

Mountbatten did the same in the Far East allowing the Japanese Army to remain in control in all the re conquered territories ( except India the British Jewel in the Crown) because firstly our Armed Forces were depleted and the soldiers ( mainly conscripts) just wanted to go home and secondly the locals had the fear of God put into them because they had seen how ruthless and barbaric the Japanese were. There was consequently a peaceful transition.

In contrast, after the Gulf War then Desert Storm a posh Harvard boy with no experience of the Middle East called Paul Bremer was put in charge of Iraq by George W. Bush. He disarmed and dismantled Saddams defeated Iraqi Army ( and Saddams Ba’aath party civil service). Consequently, the Americans and Brits had half a million unemployed disgruntled ex soldiers with no money causing trouble. This ignited Civil War with the numerous other sects so that we and the Americans lost many many more troops than we ever lost in the actual war and God only knows how many Iraqis died.

It’s just local knowledge mate and knowing how things work on the ground. The basis ( or should be) of all good Police Work and keeping the lid on things….

21 Mar 2024 15:35:10
Nice one stokey mate ? I've been pigging out on ww2 in colour, Netflix. As I'm on the sick again. Second time of viewing it all. Amazing footage keeps your feet firmly to the ground and reminds ya just how lucky we are since the great fight took place.
Actually while your there stokey, and any other elders on here. I have a strange question. I normally have a walk around the loch where i live. and the amount of people i pass with tourettes walking dogs is unreal. I know people probably think I've got it amount of swearing i do. But no seriously i can't for the life of me remember anyone in my younger days with it. By the way it really is obvious they have it. Did any of you lot in the 60s/ 70s know anyone with it?

{Ed001's Note - I am in the middle of watching through that too Bowie - excellent stuff.}

21 Mar 2024 15:59:00
My mum used to have it Bowie ?
She used to shout come Sebastian I'll kill ya. Well that's what it sounded like anyway ??.

21 Mar 2024 16:06:53
USA, USA, USA. At school I was taught they were our saviours. Defeated the Germans single-handedly, apparently. What a load of rubbish that turned out to be.

21 Mar 2024 16:21:38
Derby try asking the Russians who won the 2nd world war they’re in no doubt, it cost them 20 million lives who could argue.

21 Mar 2024 16:57:06
So what did you learn at school, derby? Believe me, without the yanks we'd have been spent. And don't ever put your ignorance before true judgement. Try asking a lot of American families who's loved ones give their lives young man.

21 Mar 2024 16:59:02
I'm aware of who effectively won the war, Stevie. It was just the pro-American rubbish I was fed at school.

Good afternoon Bowie. I’m sorry to hear you are off sick. Hope it’s nothing too serious mate?
Like you and Ed 1 I’m fascinated by WW2 ( and history generally) because it seems so comparatively to me, born in 1956 so I grew up able to listen to family, friends and people generally who had gone through it.
It was a rare “righteous “ war against an evil, ruthless, barbaric Fascist enemy where that Golden generation stood up ( against incredible odds) for what was morally right. This country was for a long time ( 6 years) the last line of resistance against the advent of a new Dark Age and the end of civilisation. Churchill was right …. “ If this country lasts for a thousand years men will say “this was its finest hour”.
It makes me laugh when I hear politicians call for conscription. This country is no longer physically, mentally or morally able to endure the self sacrifice required. We saw that in the last existential threat we faced, c.v., when the divisions, acrimony and self interest which dominates the way things are run came to the fore. Like Carlo, I blame Thatcher ( ironically the last politician to embark on a morally right War in the Falklands) for her statement that there is no such thing as society.
Anyway, rant over. We ignore the lessons of history at our peril
As far as Tourette’s is concerned I never really came across it at all in my Police Service ( and you’d think it would come to our attention in the first instance). There was a ( legendary) Detective I worked with who holds the record for the most swear words ever in conversation, he could even insert one mid word never mind mid sentence ( as in effing excel effing ent or Su effing perb). But he controlled it when he wanted to (like giving evidence in Court for example so I guess he wasn’t truly subject to this affliction.
The only time I came across Tourette’s was after I’d retired from the Police and worked at the Public Analysts Office in Stafford itself for 9 years where I would regularly be treated to seeing a young guy rhh on a state of the art racing bike ( with all the newest gear and kit) weaving in and out of traffic gesticulating and swearing dogs abuse at everyone at the top of his voice whilst pointing aggressively.
I spoke to a local cop and he confirmed he had been arrested many times but never prosecuted due to him being a genuine Tourette’s syndrome sufferer. He had suffered numerous beatings at the hands of irate members of the public as well.

Oh sorry, Bowie. They saved the world didn't they. Twice. Actually. Now they rule the world. They think they do, anyway. Super Yanks to the rescue.

It doesn't hide the fact that what I was taught, regarding the USA defeated the Germans single-handedly, is totally incorrect. They were happy making money off selling weapons to all and sundry.

Derby whoever taught ya the yanks done it single handedly was way off. Surely everyone knows that. Dunno how your history teacher got the job?

It was in D*rbyshire though, Bowie. What do you expect?

If we win the next 2 home games and Luton lose theirs then I think we will just about be OK. I don't care who plays just go out and smash em into the wall, " take no prisoners guvnor, sweat blood and thunder, let's show these dogs what it takes to win a war "

Well if we get relegated it won't matter anyway because we will have to sell and players will go for a lot less anyway. But if we stay up then we will find out by the end of June if and who goes for what price, won't we pal. ?.
