Oh reds it's hard to be happy
When you lose game after game
I don't want to watch the highlights
Just don't know who to blame
The support is not at all lacking
The cheering is lifting enough
You then look onto the pitch
The football is so very rough
The memories are so very clear
Today the football l fear
I just waiting for something to cheer
Think l, ll just go and have a beer.

Tennyson would be proud '51.

22 Apr 2019 09:12:42
Tennyson would be spinning in his grave, more like.

21 Apr 2019 17:27:52
I’m just so relieved we didn’t renew the season tickets. If MON is here in the summer then we have a big decision, the style of play is just awful. Lack of goals and lack of passion, it’s as though the players haven’t a clue as to what they should be doing.

Agree5 Disagree4

21 Apr 2019 18:48:45
Fortunately 15,000+ others disagree. Otherwise I believe MON would be gone already. Genuinely pray that he and RK can turn us around. Still looking forward to Boro tomorrow, City Ground bathed in sunshine. COYR.😎

21 Apr 2019 18:46:27
I’m not happy with the situation either but through thick and thin I’ll support the reds, and yes I renewed my season tickets even with the dross recently.

21 Apr 2019 19:10:10
Just wonder if Brit will add his four pen, orth , he would just love it . Don't know if he is injured or not . 0-3 home defeat for me , can,t see any thing but a defeat , sorry . Look on the bright side at least we are consistent. 5 in a row .

21 Apr 2019 19:49:13
Boro are meant to have a defensive crisis, Brit tries to hard against us, so I'll predict 1-1 but bet on Forest win btts. Can't go the game and not back my team. Thick and thin. FTID.

21 Apr 2019 20:18:28
On something different gary neville said after man utd defeat to everton if youve got weeds in your garden then root them out well at the city ground i think we have an allotment full of weeds.!!!

21 Apr 2019 20:48:01
Sky team for the Blunts game (not sure who) 'Yacob is a player that MON trusts', cue stat first game in 11. Reply, 'so why hasn't he been playing then?' Long pregnant pause, 'thanks for that, lucky we didn't miss anything'. Nobody knows.😐

21 Apr 2019 22:30:25
Aps 1952 pity Neville didn’t do a bit of weeding when he was in charge of Valencia much better suited to telling other people what to do than being able to do a real job himself

22 Apr 2019 07:44:03
I seen a very funny post on twitter yesterday with a gif attached to it
Nffc 27%
Boro 31%
The clouds 42%
It had O’Neill’s and pulis heads on a cartoon player hoofing the ball back and forth.
That’s the entertaining football some fans were calling for

22 Apr 2019 08:19:35
Karanka must've got the commentary job, surely? 😅😅😅

22 Apr 2019 09:12:14
I see the record is still stuck sutton,
Try listening to smile like you mean it,because your "killing" us with your repetition 🍻🍻🍻😁😁😁

22 Apr 2019 10:34:51
FF. are we in a Cave as I can hear something over and over?

22 Apr 2019 11:01:11
He obviously don't like "Mon Days"

22 Apr 2019 11:12:25
Stick Lolley on Shotton with instructions to run at him every time he has the ball and Forest will win with Boro finishing with 10 men.

Milosevic should have Britt in his pocket.

22 Apr 2019 11:21:36
We'll trust you on that one red,you being a closet boro fan and karanka fanatic.😁😁😁🍻🍻🍻

22 Apr 2019 12:48:34
True stevie perhaps he didn't know the spanish word for weeds😂

21 Apr 2019 12:42:40
Going back to the game against the blunts. I thought Wilder used Duffy really well. Everything went through him and he dropped deep to put some lovely balls over the top. Carvahol who I think is better player technically should be playing a similar role. Gives him the chance to be effective.

Agree7 Disagree3

21 Apr 2019 13:35:48
Carvalho just hasn’t got it end of. We are going to have to wait till MON builds a complete new team, if the owner will wear that. Somehow I doubt it. I can see us losing the rest of our games now as we are in that familiar downward spiral again.

21 Apr 2019 13:51:37
ive said the same thing Red, I don't know how he`ll react now to being called too weak again and again in public by the manager, even though he played in our first 20 matches scored or made 9 goals and was part of our best performing set-up.manager only puts him on when the teams losing with little time to go cus the fans are shouting for him.even when he scores a blinder against Hull he`s dumped out the team again.not the kind of man-management that's going to make a player fight for ya.

21 Apr 2019 13:53:53
You don’t think our loses have anything to do with MON?

21 Apr 2019 13:14:11
Cant argue the logic but i still think a player like Jamie ward adds more bite and attacking threat. Carvsllaho like yates is a plodder. If carvallho had a burst of pace he would be a much better player. Having technical abilityvis all well and good but he drifts and when we lose possesion he plods back and takes an age to be in an effective position

21 Apr 2019 13:49:11
Carvalho has got a lot more than most and will only get better. End of!

21 Apr 2019 14:41:30
Carvalho hasn’t got it? Tell me who in our team does? Carvalho is a luxury player he needs others to do the dirty work because he’s not a defensive player but as I’ve said many times, he makes space for players to attack and always tries to play team mates in. The problem we have is that MON doesn’t seem to want to play him. I’d argue that it’s MONs issue rather than Carvalho’s.

21 Apr 2019 15:05:18
Without trying to put the guy down if we'd had Cavalho on loan with an option to buy for 12 million we'd all be looking at the calendar to see if was 1st April. Sadly at this moment the championship has exposed his flaws in terms of lack of pace physical presence and ability to go past players as well as not giving him time on the ball. He may have potential but at the moment he's not exactly a reliable player to build a team around. His career could still go either way. The mistake was paying so much for an untried talent whoever was at fault we can't afford to do that again.

21 Apr 2019 15:41:02
Funny how he's always seems to be in the firing line is it down to ability or simply because of how much he's cost if it's down to ability then fans should be ripping into the rest of the team one player can't win a game on their own or loose. If fans are taking it out on him for the price he's cost did he say that's what I'm worth sign me i thought it was the club who set the price .

21 Apr 2019 15:43:42
Syred, a ridiculous decision , one of worse in a long and rich history of signing duff players - the problem this time is we’ve paid stupid money for him. That sum of money is distorting the facts you present excellently above , I think people just don’t want to concede the magnitude of the error . If we can’t get our money back we will be in trouble because we just can’t afford to Chuck that kind of cash away. Who’s bloody idea was this ? It’s an absolute shocker , 13 million , I’ll say it again 13 million ! I hope whoever made the shout has been sacked ! Please Mr M move him onto Olympiacos and get us our money back ?

21 Apr 2019 16:13:46
Anybody who thinks carvahallo is worth 5 million let alone 12 is having a laugh and living in cloud cuckoo land

22 Apr 2019 11:41:39
We’ve paid 3 million up to yet I’d say he’s been worth that this season. Next season if he gets played he will probably be worth 6 million. After that who knows.

21 Apr 2019 12:34:46
Let’s get this season out of the way now
All this season the team have stuttered Our only back to back wins last September
Last won away last November
I think that sums it all up we flattered to deceive and that’s a lot down to the players that joined being to inconsistent look world beaters one minute and crap the next
The squad is what’s wrong whosever in charge it’s going to be a massive job

21 Apr 2019 12:56:50
We need to try and keep:

Colback (think he'll go tho)
Dawson (if kept fit, and made capt)
Apiah (send out on loan)

I think Grabban has become lazy and obviously has a crock Achilles. so he can go.

Osborn for me doesn't offer an awful lot, except for running around loads.
Cash is not good enough.
Yates not good enough (yet?).
Watson can go.
Murphy can do one.
Pants can go.
Pele can go.

Not sure re Darikwa

21 Apr 2019 13:17:51
Dawson is done. Always been a crock. Good player though. Benalouan was way down the pecking order at leicester for very good reason. Too rash. otherwise agreed

21 Apr 2019 13:49:15
Benalouan - complete liability . Get rid.

21 Apr 2019 12:04:02
Please stop the Karanka argument. The only difference between his football and MON football was I stay awake until half time now. Are people forgetting the amount of money wasted 13 million for Carvalho jeeeez, record for games without a goal. Pre match and post match droning speeches

He WALKED !!!!!!! After realising he cocked up. I will give him some credit though he walked as soon he knew we wouldn’t get promoted, whereas Martin has been in denial.

I have been told on more than one occasion by people related or connected to squad members that Karanka in the few weeks before his walk out did not turn up to training sessions with out warning. Not fake news. So yes Martin O neill not been any better but Karanka was not sacked!! He walked out on us!!!!

There you go that’s a line drawn under it.

Agree9 Disagree5

21 Apr 2019 12:22:17
Why did he walk? Why was he so morose after the Ipswich game? Why has no more details emerged? It's called cause and effect Keenred, what caused him to walk? I repeat 5th and only lost 2 games after Ipswich game. That was 20 games, lost fewer than Norwich. The spectacular fall needs explaining, properly and by the club. FTID.

21 Apr 2019 13:35:30
For someone to walk away from a contract and lose the amount of money takes balls, we will never find out the reason or the truth, he’s a typical Mediterranean stubborn and stuck to his principles and doesn’t do arse lickers nor back stabbers.

21 Apr 2019 13:51:34
Most on here realise the manager doesn’t sign the players anymore and they have to work with what they are given from the powers above. Many on here agree the squad is either poor or at least imbalanced. On this basis I think the old boss was doing ok.If Lampard and Gerrard can just retire and do ok in management why not give Chris Cohen a shot?

21 Apr 2019 13:30:49
He was unhappy about having no say about who was appointed DOF. Unhappy about a couple of signings...

21 Apr 2019 17:08:45
When it’s your team you want full day because it’s your neck on the line.scouse don’t forget at that time boro only had a better goals against and we was top 6 in the goals for bracket but the hypocrites moan about

21 Apr 2019 17:27:15
I've heard the same red apparently they came to blows and fists were used so krankie walked

21 Apr 2019 18:00:08
Lol punches thrown? Between Randall and AK? Or Maranakis and AK? I would've paid to see that.😅😅😅

21 Apr 2019 18:31:25
Scouse lol if punches were thrown between Ak and maranakis don’t think the manager would have walked he would have been carried out!

21 Apr 2019 19:52:41
Maranakis would have to land one first, be like Laurel and Hardy running around the ring. That's another fine mess you've got me into Aitor.😅😅😅

22 Apr 2019 07:47:41
Marinakis would of been blowing out his bum thinking about throwing a his arms stretch out as far as his gut to land a punch.

21 Apr 2019 11:30:42
Osborn wants to leave the club according to someone on COYR Forest Forum. I am not surprised, he was close to joining Stoke in January.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Apr 2019 12:22:59
There'll be a few more than Osborn.😖

21 Apr 2019 12:23:23
I can see that NFFC16 , he`s not MONs type of player unless he grows a foot in the summer! , maybe the Breadman will take him when he gets the QPR job ?

21 Apr 2019 12:34:31
A lot of fans want him to leave. Nathan Tyson could cross the ball better than him.

Irrespective of what happens in the remainging games i am hoping we get to the season end with no sackings. Like most I am bewildered by the slide and apparent loss of enthusiasm and co-operation on the pitch. But all was not happy under AK towards the end with rumours around Grabban and upstairs maonouvering. The club and not just Martin needs to realise that we have a huge mish mash of a squad. A combination of merceneraies, players brought in that were unattsched and unfit. Youth that has not reached the potential promised, including yates, cash and osborn. You only have to look at our quality of keepers? Our so called no1 is still flat footed and cannot command his box and crosses to him are religeous things.
Form is temporary and class permenant. Can anybody on here hand on heart see any class in this squad? Class in talent and attitude. We have one or two the right tools but all have been at other clubs and let go for a reason. Lolley Grabban, yacob and colback.
I don't think another season of clearout and rebuilding is going to get us promoted that sort of thing rarely happens unless you have the nucleous of a decent squad. Even Robinson ran his contract down and left QPR, we thoight we had a player but are his off field antics hindering him again, is he right for forest? Tgecone player we had who was asked to play multiple positions and showed the fighting attitude was fox. We could do with a dozen more like him.
Martin may realise that this job is a bridge too far and walk as he promised that he will leave at the end of his contract if we were not promoted. Well one season to go and reality says its not possible as we are light years from a settled squad or team. Having said that i think keane is being primed to take over from martin in due course. Just a thought.
So this next few weeks are crucial in deciding which way the club wants to go. We either believe in Martin and he us, or we go down the road of hope and a prayer of cutting off the head of the beast and bringing in another managerial team that will still be faced with same issues and making more desperate signings only to find the roads lead to the same dead end.
If ever we need a solution its in the continuity of martin and his clarity of thought. It may not be perfect but its better than the other dreadful scenario.

Agree4 Disagree2

21 Apr 2019 11:02:37
Rutland , the issue I have is there seems no answer to the question of who next. Like I said yesterday expectation is the root of most disappointment - there is a message in there somewhere.

21 Apr 2019 11:11:43
Rutland. Great post by the way.
Keane won’t stay here mate , too much pride to take the criticism that he hurled at them. Disgraceful really when you think back to 92/93 when Keane played in every position that season and displayed warrior like tendencies in desperate attempt to keep us up whilst the majority of the rest of the team hid behind cloughies bottle.

Some of us fans respect the players who began their careers and then had glittering careers elsewhere, the past of the club isn’t just about those players and a manager who created a miracle over 3 seasons. That said almost predictably the s*** stirring about Keane is well under way.

21 Apr 2019 11:42:50
2 star the way i see it. Either mon and keane are wrong. Marikinakis is wrong or we are wrong. Maybe the squad is wriong???. Personally their is a lot wrong. However MON has the pedigree, maybe not in style but can be trusted to get the job done. He is not stupid and he will accept any blame coming his way. A change at the helm is not the answer. This squad is like an over burdened tanker trying to turn labouriously in a storm. It will take a lightening of the load and a determined skipper to get us through the storm. I can think of few better than MON who would willingly come to the club unless promised cash who could turn things around. So give the cash and control to oneil as half the job is already done in sussing out the characters and planning thst MON will already be under way with. He will not be waiting for the season end to start the job. That is why chsnging now would have wasted the months that Martin has invested in OUR future.

21 Apr 2019 11:54:40
All fans want to see the Manager who ever it might be succeed but the football and the selections have been dire and if they don’t have the belief of the players there on a hiding to nothing, yes we can sell and rebuild but we’ve been doing that for umpteen years now,

There doesn’t seem to be a structure at the club and we need a team who all sing off the same hymn sheet who run the club as well as the players wearing the shirt and represent the reds, then we can be successful, that’s why I keep harping on about there needs to be proper leader at the top who can communicate and listen.

Billy Davis was the last Manager who actually got the best out of his side but got stabbed in the back, and it’s been happening ever since. Karanka started something and you could see glimpses and the same thing happened,
So when people spend there hard earned money to support this club of ours and get the same bull year on year you can appreciate why there’s so many disgruntled fans.

20 Apr 2019 21:02:10
This season just proves how fickle fans are with short memories.

Season started moaning about the style of football despite not getting beaten. After the 12 game " audition" we were on the march with a very committed, resilient squad. Team selection bar injuries sorted.

Shortcomings in the squad for promotion identified ( remember the missed summer targets? ) . Then "things" were said!

Defenders sorted but not the front end of the team with players that could hit the ground running. Little wonder we are where we are?

Not surprised the players are struggling with the changes.

No idea whether MON can sort it but at least he is exposing the nonsense that went on in December regarding recruitment since the D of F got appointed working with what he has got and freebies?

I find it amusing that now "our own" players AK inherited are suddenly no good . The better performers were all AK's picks and the under performers are all the Greek / Mendes picks?

Everyone is picking on the players and managers when the evidence points elsewhere with poor decision making at the top?

But hey we have been promised an upgraded stadium to deflect attention from an almighty cock up that happened in December!

You only have to look at the teams at the top of the table to realise the opportunity missed this season!

Loans and out of contract players apart we need to stick with what we have and let the manager add the missing parts without playing Greek " swap shop" to keep within FFP!

Onward and Upward is definitely on hold for the foreseeable future.

Agree8 Disagree10

21 Apr 2019 06:38:32
Spot on Red, it seems to be happening for the past twenty years, we are either very unlucky or there’s people at the club who think they know best and clearly they don’t keep putting there opinions in and kissing the owners arse’s and stirring trouble for the Managers, and if that’s the case we are never going to move on or forward. So these past iconic players please retire and come back only on special occasions.

21 Apr 2019 07:19:06
It’s amazing how the same people who weren’t happy with karankas style of play are happy with what is being churned out Iv said hypocrites.

21 Apr 2019 07:57:11
Krankie squad back again lol 😁

21 Apr 2019 08:54:09
The Three Stooges are at it again.
Same old boring posts. Fans are fickle, no more Greeks. Blah blah blah!
We know all this because we have heard it all before!

21 Apr 2019 09:55:50
And so has the past, move on from it.

21 Apr 2019 10:08:26
The only people I see keep bringing up Karanka are the ones trying to defend MON’s failures. I must have been on planet mars because my view was that on the whole forest fans backed and supported Karanka. I can’t say the same for MON. The reason for this is down to performances and results on the pitch - nothing else!

I’ve written this somewhere else but I will say it again. you keep saying it’s not MONs fault he picks bizarre teams. But the fact of the matter is people are paying to watch this garbage and he hasn’t shown us anything progressive or deserving of a shot next season.

21 Apr 2019 09:44:34
Skeg, You spend so much time in the sun on the stella to remember your incorrect 12 match prediction and conversion to the cause prior to the Greeks upsetting the applecart and messing everything up!

21 Apr 2019 11:31:31
Have you any proof it was the Greeks that upset the apple cart?
Karanka walked, his decision and his decision alone.
We all have to do things in the workplace and take orders,we just get on with it or like karanka walk away.

21 Apr 2019 13:59:44
Fff79. You have just answered your own question!

Basil get back in your box your insulting comments towards managers is ignorant!

21 Apr 2019 18:47:52
Curly or Mo?. bromances once finished are I believe difficult to get over especially when you share sangria and paella on a regular basis.
Red it's OK. Move on. Let the past go. Or does he still have your red trousers?

20 Apr 2019 20:15:30
