Are Nottingham Forest, Markines`s b team or a team. Idont like this movement of players between club`s, it can`t be right.

The standard of the players possibly moving to Greece is not great.

19 Jun 2019 15:32:19
Sending our duds doesn't make us the b team to me, it shows there is no other way of shifting these players so he is getting them on the olympiacos pay role to free up cash for signings.

19 Jun 2019 16:06:10
Don’t think olympiacos will be his b team somehow as they play in the champions league and win their own league every other year,

19 Jun 2019 21:34:46
The Greek league is nothing like ours they have 2 teams as competition so yes he can it as a b team because it runs itself, getting out of the championship takes a lot more money, planning and effort so if he runs us a b team we will never achieve anything

19 Jun 2019 12:25:46
Squad getting trimmed good sign pity bout yacob if he goes but if we get rid of the rest been mentioned good stuff, soudani never rated him, belouane too hot headed, vellios not good enough, Murphy going to go too, Clough, Watson, bridcutt, walker,
Grant, this should free up spaces for targets mentioned, adomah would be super signing as would o dowda.

I though the manager likes Murphy.

19 Jun 2019 14:10:23
Hopeful Murphy goes, unfortunately I think GM2d is right

19 Jun 2019 10:18:27
How about this for a HOOFBALL team this season

Absolutley no creativity in the side what so ever BUT what a fantastic MON hoofball team!

19 Jun 2019 10:31:54
Posts like to his are no addition to this site you would have been better off naming a team you would like to see next season, and the MON bashing is getting old too, if you not willing to show support to the team and management why support the club in the 1st place, through thick and thin we all support this fantastic club we are going to have a great future new stadium new players new memories hopefully from the premier league

19 Jun 2019 10:50:26
Saw every game home and away last season and have supported the side since 1970 and I consistently posted positive team suggestions throughout last season!

Being honest I am not a big MON fan but I do love this club and want us to get back to playing the Forest way. That post was tongue in cheek but does highlight my worry about what our style of play this season will be.

I was a big SOD and AK fan because they imo played the game the right way and both went when we were 7th in the table!!

19 Jun 2019 11:21:01
You were a big ak fan yet want to get back to playing the forest way massive contradiction there, sorry but was such negative defensive football, I'm waiting for mon to get a squad of his players before making judgement but I don't think he is as old fashioned as some are making out, i can see the 3 5 2 being used more as that formation finished so well

19 Jun 2019 11:30:35
Why do you assume MON is going to play " hoofball" ?
His teams over the years have played decent football but this assumption on his style has only come from managing Ireland where he has had to impose a style of play to reflect the very limited creative resources available.
He is not stupid and knows we will need to be able to adapt tactics to get out of this league and if that means playing long ball football with 14 6' 2"+ giants against the likes of Millwall et al to stop us getting rolled over then that's fine by me!

19 Jun 2019 13:32:13
Redinexile. The manager has been kept by the club so he deserves our support when the season starts, I agree with you about his International team but with a team that contained Lolley, and Carvalho, in midfield, and a striker like Grabben who likes the ball on the floor, why did the manager get the team to play hoofball as some like to call it.

19 Jun 2019 14:03:50
Grabban was mostly injured and unavailable to Martin and to be fair to Martin he game nearly everyone a chance to show what they could do.
He could only Murphy or ansarfarad in most games so the tactics dictated themselves as bonatini didn't cut the mustard or was match fit.
If you go back to the reading game it was Simon Ireland that first dropped carvalho and managers often take the coaches advice when first coming into a job.

19 Jun 2019 14:49:49
No point criticising MON. Yes he messed up not playing Carvs but that season is over. He’s not being sacked so may as well back him. Gain nothing from negativity at the start of the season. This coming from not his biggest fan. Yacob is too 1 dimensional and getting on and Bena is reckless. I expect us to get some younger, fresher players in.

19 Jun 2019 20:42:34
My kids have become really interested in watching the clough era wherever we can find it. I too have enjoyed it, interspersed in the forest footage is inevitably some derby footage - his derby team were a great side it has to be said .

At no point do I see any of his defenders messing around with it at the back , I see a keeper who kicks the ball out not rolls , many different keepers over many years. There seems to be some questionable memories over what the clough style actually was.

19 Jun 2019 21:52:59
The clough style
It was a successful style where every player knew his job, they weren't necessarily the best players but they complimented each other.
It was based on the best goalkeeper you can get a central defensive pairing that understood each other, two fullback that could defend but went forward with purpose.
Two wingers that could hurt the opposition but also be niggly in the tackle, one holding midfielder, one creative goalscorer in midfield and two strikers who formed a partnership.
The perfect formula for that era.

19 Jun 2019 09:03:04
Sell Soudani but keep Murphy! Hope this is not a sign that we are going to play " Hoofball " next season!

19 Jun 2019 11:22:16
I agree I hope it is a sign that mon is shipping out the croks that don't play because there always injured

19 Jun 2019 21:16:17
Nobody wants Murphy who’s going to sign him? Imaginary fc

This ones for Skegsjay. I was on my way back home to Loughborough from Nottingham on Sunday when i passed by an old red Barton bus in Rempstone. There had been a classic car show in town that day, the bus was in front and was being followed by a few old cars. Just thought you'd like to know as i remember you saying you had memories of going on them from Leicester with your dad. I used to go to matches on the South Notts buses with my grandad. Happy Days, Happy Times.

Cheers tap seems like yesterday travelling to the ground on one of them 40 years ago would like to take the old man to a game this season it's his 70th birthday in August without him I would of probably never been a forest fan and not to forget the good old Barton bus that got us to the game

19 Jun 2019 16:22:50
My dad used to drive one of the old Bedford lorries. this might sound weird, but I loved the smell of the inside of them, saw one at a Vintage Car Show I was treated to on Father's Day. so I stuck my head inside. brought a tear to my eye.

18 Jun 2019 22:39:06
I see Chelsea will offer a three year contract to Lampard, that'll mean two years on a beach then.

I'd feel very sorry after the season they had, if Derby C were to lose their Manager, again.

There will be no smirking if Direby land Chris Hughton as their new manager!

I'm guessing with the owner being as dodgy as sin with his heroin ships, 8-15 mil

18 Jun 2019 21:19:25
Not bothered just glad to see him gone, waste of space.

18 Jun 2019 22:59:12
Wouldn't say 2 goals in 6 games makes someone a waste of space

18 Jun 2019 23:27:15
His all round play was useless.

18 Jun 2019 23:34:51
79 lol there's a lot of players I feel the same about the 13 million we wasted on carvahallo comes to mind we could of bought 2 decent players for that and probably made play offs

19 Jun 2019 00:53:00
I think you're thinking about our 13 million pound player carvahallo lol 79

19 Jun 2019 07:52:10
Ff. how you can say that about Soudani is beyond me. I saw 2 of his games and although he was rough around the edges, he was brand new to English football and still managed a couple of goals in his few appearances.

Pretty harsh and disrespectful, in my opinion, which is all yours is as well of course. He would only have improved as he adjusted to the style of the league.

Anyway, I wish him well - he seemed a nice guy and genuinely delighted to have made it to the English league.

19 Jun 2019 08:59:16
We signed him for £1.7m, I'd imagine a similar figure this time

19 Jun 2019 10:29:42
Irish he is 31 and been around so shouldn't be rough around the edges.
If your not the finished article by then you never will be.
Gets injured falling over at the touchline never to be seen again.
Garbage and a waste of money.

19 Jun 2019 14:43:39
By “rough round the edges”, I meant in relation to the EFL. And he didn’t just fall over, did he? He tore ligaments. I played in the Irish premier league for 2 years, and had to retire for similar reasons when I “just fell over”. Show some respect for your own players - I’ll never understand why some fans seem to hate their own players - I’ve had players that I didn’t rate down the years, but while they’re still wearing the shirt and trying to get the job done, I support them.

Really needlessly harsh, as usual. At 31, it could have been a career-ending injury, and all you have to say is “good riddance”. He deserves slightly more respect than that, and I hope he gets it at Olimpiakos.

19 Jun 2019 14:54:46
That's your opinion Irish seen all his games and he wasnt good enough just like dias and goncalves or are you going to tell me they were ok?

19 Jun 2019 15:11:29
I’m not talking about them, am I. You’re judging a guy on, what, 8 appearances in which he still managed to score 2 goals. If you’re happy to do that and call him garbage, then you clearly should be working as a scout, because you seem to be able to know all there is to know about a player very quickly. or maybe you just made up your mind and there’s clearly no changing that.

Either way, I really hope no other “garbage” players ruin your match day for you in the future.
