Burnley could be favourites for relegation, if paper rumours are true. 😁 To be honest, I wish MW all the best. A talent like that shouldn't be out of football. 😉.

Getting Warburton on board is the short cut for Dyche to getting his hands on Joe Worrall I reckon

17 Oct 2018 17:23:02
How do you work that out? Please explain?

18 Oct 2018 16:39:11
Dyche was after Worrall at the end of last season and in the summer. Didn't happen for him because he tried to get him on the cheap.
Worrall takes advice from Warburton including his move to Rangers.
Warburton is now going to he players for Burnley

17 Oct 2018 07:37:38
Anyone see the Portuguese lads goal last night? do we really need olly Burke back with someone that can run with a ball like this?

Agree7 Disagree0

17 Oct 2018 08:55:05
He's got some serious talent for sure but he needs to prove he can do it in the Championship. Very different level to an under 21s game against Bosnia.

17 Oct 2018 10:57:42
Good goal but no real challenge and he won't get that sort of space nor will it be as easy as that to run with the ball in the championship.

17 Oct 2018 12:43:09
I understand your point Psycho but I'd at least like to see him give it a go. Keep hounding Championship defenders with quick, skillful runs and they'll soon start backing off.

17 Oct 2018 14:38:19
Messi does this in la liga and he’s the best in the world.runs with thre ball in challenged and he’s the best.does it week in week out in that poor league.

15 Oct 2018 16:09:21
Should we bring Burke back?
If we did I wouldn't pay more than 4m
Let's face it. Since he left he as done nothing to warrant the 13m we got for him.
And would he dislodge cash. No way.

Agree4 Disagree7

15 Oct 2018 16:20:29
Does he bring something different to the team, and is he better than we have got already. Everyone will believe something different. I doubt he would leave for £4m

15 Oct 2018 16:39:23
Burke would walk back into the side.

He's got lightning pace, physicality, runs at players & he's ready made for the championship.

Absolute no brainer for the right money.

15 Oct 2018 17:41:52
Red always,I think Burke would be "lodging cash!!" 💴💴💴😂😂😂

15 Oct 2018 18:50:01
If he'd rip championship up then why is he not being picked at West Brom

15 Oct 2018 20:18:51
The squad as a whole has massively improved since he was sold. That has coincided with a loss of form for Burke. I don't see that we need him back. If we need to strengthen we should be looking for a striker not a winger.

15 Oct 2018 20:53:00
We don't need him I'd rather play cash on the right although Burke has talent I always felt he lacked enthusiasm for the defensive side of the game and wasn't keen on tracking back

15 Oct 2018 20:59:12
The trouble is not too many strikers are effective playing the lone role that AK likes so we really need players that can link up with the rest of the midfield to create better chances for our lone striker. Players with pace that naturally like to run at the opposition are just we what we need. Off course there needs to be a end product from the player.

15 Oct 2018 21:09:46
I think he’d do will and fit into our style - especially at home when the bus is parked !

15 Oct 2018 22:11:53
One trick pony, he's like grease lightening, but hasn't got a brain on where he's going and his end ball is crap, best deal we ever did, he's gone forget him, he was never that good.

15 Oct 2018 22:38:39
AK we already have a dearth a attacking midfield options. What happens if Murphy and Grabban are both injured at the same time? That is highly possible, given recent events. We need a back up striker!

15 Oct 2018 23:44:02
No more wingers. We need central midfielders. Desperately short in that position.

16 Oct 2018 06:01:11
Im not saying Burke is the answer to the teams problems, but we lack midfields that run at opposition with pace. So we need to get rid of some of our present midfielders and replace them with ones that will frighten the opposition, and that have end product. There are some midfielders we have that can act as temporary striker, but AK's system relies on midfield to score, the lone striker is just there to hold up the ball and get into the oppositions faces, not really a true striking role. We have to get rid of players before bringing in more players. Or do we?

16 Oct 2018 08:26:44
Ff799 has summed up my thoughts entirely! He will never make a top player without a brain?

16 Oct 2018 10:08:19
If he was made available,I would try to bring him back. he was a brilliant outlet for us when we were under pressure.
He had the ability to hit teams with that suckerpunch.
Before he left he was definitely one of our best players. no reason why he could be again.
Just say'n 😉😉😉

16 Oct 2018 12:04:31
Presumably he and his agent wanted the money so both jumped at it. Similar to Bamford who left us and has been loaned out by Chelsea ever since.
It depends on what type of lad Burke is. My guess is that he probably realises he made a mistake leaving Forest like he did and has failed to settle or hit form ever since.
There is no indication that he wants to come back but my guess is AK would only buy him if the Club could afford it, or if players on loan are going back in January or the Summer.
I too feel he would be a valuable addition to the team and could well end up being in the side to replace injuries to Cash, Dias, Goncalves or even Benny O.
Over to you Mr. Marinakis?

16 Oct 2018 15:55:50
I agree let's bring warbo back as well 😀

16 Oct 2018 17:56:02
Hi skeggy, how are you keeping mate?
Can we also bring prince billy back to look after the youth set up and dougie to be the entertainment manager 👍

16 Oct 2018 19:45:14
Wouldn't Billy be better off in charge of public relations given his inside knowledge of the press?

16 Oct 2018 21:14:22
I’d go along with that as long as he’s based in Siberia 🤣

17 Oct 2018 14:27:07
I agree 2tone. He'd be ideal for the salt mines, diminutive chap that he is!

17 Oct 2018 17:28:00
If Luke Dowling offers Burke for sale than he clearly thinks he is not good enough and if he was still our D of F he would not sanction the purchase for the same reason. So we should not go near him with a barge pole!

19 Oct 2018 10:17:30
Get Burke on loan with view to perm move it Summer. He never wanted to leave really but club pushed move through as needed the money. He will either be so low on confidence that he won’t get a look in over Cash, Lolley, Dias etc or he will come home and suddenly feel comfortable and at home and go straight back to the player we sold and provide very strong competition in the squad!

19 Oct 2018 16:58:45
Your assumption is that he'd want to come back?

19 Oct 2018 22:03:15
That ship has sailed,he only played a dozen games or so and we got 13 million, good business, did nowt for Scotland either,
Take him for nothing and see if coming home works?,but wouldn't want to pay a fee at all.

15 Oct 2018 08:47:25
Let's start the day with a moan,it,s been said McKay and Cummings were allowed to leave because they made little impact but stats show this time last year they,d made more impact than the 3 Iberians have this time round ,as Greavesie used to say ,it,s a funny old game?

Agree2 Disagree7

15 Oct 2018 09:51:48
AK wants a certain character in his squad, McKay lightweight and not up for the fight, Cummings obviously still immature. This leads to the question of Ollie Burke being available in Jan, do we want him back? Could he be a bad egg though?

15 Oct 2018 10:09:07
What stats? We are a much stronger team without them and Scots are technically inferior!
The Scotland results without these two tell you all you need to know about stats and that they have found their level?

15 Oct 2018 12:38:58
Stats are too ambiguous to read too much into.

15 Oct 2018 14:17:40
I agree to some extent but the Brentford owner uses stats in order to buy and loan players which they have done fairly well by.

{Ed001's Note - that's not the full story, they used to do that, but they found they were not always identifying the right players by the pure use of stats. Now they use the stats in order to identify the players to scout. Matthew Bentham would love to just use stats, as he made his fortune out of stats analysis and it is his company that provides the stats the team use.}

15 Oct 2018 14:28:47
I was obviously not aware of that, you learn something new every day. Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - it has been a developing process and part of the reason Mark Warburton and co left the club, as they wanted to move away from the stats. Brentford brought a guy from Bentham's Danish club Midtjylland (I hope that is spelt right!) to take charge of recruitment and he has changed it significantly. It does still rely heavily on stats to identify most of the players they sign, but they no longer sign without repeated scouting too.}

15 Oct 2018 16:45:59
Neither Cummings or McKay were good enough mentally or physically to get it done consistently over a championship season.

Thankfully we don't accomodate lightweights at the club anymore.

15 Oct 2018 17:13:06
Without the ability to man manage stats count for very little.

15 Oct 2018 18:19:37
Are we missing them?scored more without them got more points on the board.its a no from me

15 Oct 2018 19:04:18
It is debatable, would they play better with the new players we have. Without AK having tried them with the new players we will never know.

16 Oct 2018 10:49:25
Stats stats stats. Football isn't all about stats, if it was I'd be winning a lot more money on my accas at the weekend.

16 Oct 2018 13:28:47
Who is the main man at a club of course it,s the manager and it,s his job to get players to perform consistantly, the reason we been out of the big time for so long is not having the right manager ,let's hope this time we have but the jury's still out on AK ,seems to me he,s not given everyone a fair crack but let's hope this dosen,t kill morale because team spirit is so vital and when the manager as they say loses the dressing room it,s all over .

17 Oct 2018 20:22:07
Stats? Who was it that said football isn't played on paper?

19 Oct 2018 10:22:15
I think Cummings still has some potential and it was his immature attitude that turned AK off which is why he got loaned out as if he grows up he potential could still be seen in Garabaldi one day but after a amazing start on loan he has faded and isn’t even starting many games which I wonder if that is due to attitude! McKay was light weight and though had a few tricks up his sleeve I think his attitude was awful. Looked like he didn’t care and was lazy and moody towards end of last season. Dias, Carvalho etc have much more positive attitudes and better work ethic.

14 Oct 2018 15:25:04
As it was non league day yesterday, I was wondering if any one on here went to a local game.
I went to watch my old team. I used too play for Dunkirk fc who now play in the Midland premier league (level 7 on the pyramid) very good standard and cracking game of football. Dunkirk fc 2 Coventry Sphinx 0.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Oct 2018 18:02:33
What is 'non league day'?

14 Oct 2018 18:36:35
Proper football eh gazz, i used to play for Melton in the central midlands league, premier division, about 95th on the pyramid.

14 Oct 2018 21:23:00
Football it's is .
Proper? Em?🤔

14 Oct 2018 21:16:05
It's a great way of supporting local non league ( any level below league 2).
As it was the International break and no premier or championship football, non league clubs offer discount entrance to attract bigger crowds. It usually doubles their average attendance. I had a pint, burger and entrance fee for just a fiver. Plus it's good honest football.
Try it next time mate.

14 Oct 2018 23:04:07
Yes Ff. Proper football. The stuff millions play every Saturday for fun or a bit of pocket money if they are good enough to get paid. Many people put hour upon hour to run these teams. Many of these clubs are academies which mean they also have 4 or 5 junior teams run by volunteers.

Remember where we got Garry Birtles from? Long Eaton. Wes Morgan, Dunkirk. And our very own current hero Joe Lolly started out in non league.
So yes mate. Proper!

15 Oct 2018 12:43:24
Good to take part in,but not so good to watch, rather watch young kids play.
Watching non league football just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid.
If you enjoy it that's all the matters.

More chance of encountering CARP if you stayed on here all morning Carlo.

14 Oct 2018 11:37:55
Nice one Gazzi 😂😂😂

14 Oct 2018 12:30:14
Like it!!!

14 Oct 2018 13:01:40
Caught a few pikies in my time!

14 Oct 2018 13:05:10
Tight lines mate, angling or fishing for wise cracks on here comes second nature.

14 Oct 2018 15:08:21
The net is closing in!

14 Oct 2018 08:44:08
A sell out crowd looks likely against Norwich and we should have a great atmosphere
One thing is starting to bother me there’s to many fans that are too quick to get on the players backs the players need our support and not feel pressure playing in front of our home crowd other wise it will be counterproductive
You know who you are let’s have more encouragement

Agree4 Disagree1

14 Oct 2018 09:18:54
Fred if players are not doing there job properly fans have every right to moan we pay a lot of money to watch a question for you if we are being served up utter dross how do we show our displeasure ??just sit on our hands

14 Oct 2018 10:04:19
Moan after the game not during.the players will know when there not performing.having fans shouting your crap at them during is hardly going to make them think I best start playing well.i do wonder sometimes if fans actually use to play football or just follow it but like refs

14 Oct 2018 11:09:30
I doubt the players hear the odd person shouting from the stands, only if it is on mass, when that is the case it must be a really bad per
performance. I like the idea of throwing food at them, as long as it does not hit them, just to see if they have hunger. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

14 Oct 2018 11:10:02
Aps if whatever reason some players are a little off the pace and are playing poorly believe it or not encouragement can actually help them that’s called support
If you aren’t happy make your opinions known at the end of the game
A large crowd at home is to give our team an advantage not help the away team to raise their game

14 Oct 2018 12:32:42
When we don’t sell out people complain and when we do sell out people start worrying about pressure seems to me the happy clappers actually do more moaning than the so called moaners

14 Oct 2018 14:00:38
Ha ha . .pathetic.

14 Oct 2018 14:13:12
Perks wasn’t meant to be amusing, plain fact the happy clappers on here spend every post moaning about other people’s opinions now we’ve sold out they’re moaning that some fans might get on the teams backs, before anyone has of course, then when we don’t sellout the fans are fickle, yeah the happy clappers are the biggest moaners of the lot, that s pathetic as you put it

14 Oct 2018 15:01:09
The fans can be the 12th man for a team do you really think a 12th man going against the team is what the team would really need?someone slagging you off isn’t going to make you up your game its more than likely to effect you even more and make you even more nervous about your next pass.after the game when you have cheered them on and they still havnt got it together is the time to do it.

14 Oct 2018 15:42:20
Sutton red I agree but why don’t you let it happen before you moan about i

14 Oct 2018 21:09:44
Stevie your just arguing with yourself pal.Out of interest what constitutes a happy clapper?

14 Oct 2018 22:39:20
Perks my definition of happy clapper, someone who sees mild criticism as disloyalty, appears to think eveything is perfect and won’t hear any other opinion to the contrary and anybody who dares to offer a contrary opinion is labelled a moaner, hope that clears it up for you mate lol

15 Oct 2018 00:17:08
Do you need to have all the above to qualify or will 1 or 2 suffice? Anyway thanks.

15 Oct 2018 09:01:37
Any one of the above qualifies you for membership mate lol

15 Oct 2018 17:09:58
I just think some people have a naturally more positive outlook than others. Whether that is about life in general or the football team that they have chosen to support. Yes I said support!

15 Oct 2018 17:39:22
Sgetty yes you didn’t need to repeat the word I have able to read for some years now ! I have never seeen the point in getting on the teams back at the game, but everyone is different, as you suggest ,some glass half full some half empty. I think the support forest get at the city ground is fantastic personally

16 Oct 2018 10:06:57
Steve, your one of the biggest whingers on here, pot kettle fella, lol.

oh the irony:)

16 Oct 2018 14:28:37
State the obvious I have never moaned about the manager the crowds the team or anything else about the club, I have questioned the value of carvallhio and the blind faith some on here have in his ability, and if you’d taken the time to read the thread properly you would have realised I was talking about the “irony “ of the happy clappers doing more moaning than the so called moaners with regard to other people’s opinions. if you going to come on to have a pop at least get your facts right

13 Oct 2018 12:43:49
Norwich game is close to being sold out so it will be a great atmosphere. It should be a really good game with both teams liking to play a passing game. 4-2 to Forest and a few beers in celebration.

Agree2 Disagree1

13 Oct 2018 13:00:18
It can't come soon enough for me. I'll be glad to get these pointless national games out the way. Yawn!

13 Oct 2018 14:40:20
I agree, there must've been only 20 people watching the Croatia v England game.😁

13 Oct 2018 19:00:25
I hate internationals. Can't wait for Norwich Bolton then Leeds all winnable games.

13 Oct 2018 20:15:20
I love'm!!!. I'm a big fan of Liechtenstein!!! 😂😂😂

13 Oct 2018 20:29:25
I would caution against wild assumptions/predictions.

13 Oct 2018 21:51:48
Rogie that's a coincidence my wife is a fan of Liechtenstein!

12 Oct 2018 22:14:04
Those chances Rashford missed Ben Brereton would have buried!

Agree0 Disagree12

12 Oct 2018 22:35:50
Can’t even get In the Blackburn team carloo!

13 Oct 2018 00:56:05
He wouldn’t even have picked the spade up to dig the whole

13 Oct 2018 00:59:43
Carlo Carlo are you really trying to compare Ben to Rashford ? It really hurts to (sort of?) stick up for a manure player but come on mate mate

13 Oct 2018 06:38:03
brereton would have missed the goal by a bigger margin. he was,nt that good in front of fact most of forest players seem to forget what to do with the ball when they get good chances in front of goal. he,s better off at blackburn.forest are a better team with him gone.

13 Oct 2018 07:31:59
I love how people are ripping in to Brereton. If Forest were near the bottom of the league right now, selling him would have been the worst bit of business since time began.

13 Oct 2018 08:41:44
Not ripping into him, just not bigging him up

13 Oct 2018 09:34:01
2tone it's a good job that you aren't the selector!

13 Oct 2018 10:18:28
He will score in the right team but we don’t seem to create typical, traditional goal scorer chances. He’ll do ok though and I for one wish him well he worked hard for the team Carlo, I know you like to see youngsters given a chance but I think his run of games last season convinced Karanka that a different type of player was needed. I think there are a couple coming through that will prosper though mate .

13 Oct 2018 10:22:20
Nobody has ripped into him they have just spoken the truth part from the original poster.

13 Oct 2018 10:42:15
Murphy got stick when he first joined us yet he did the business after a few games, if you take out his grieving he has been a good signing.

Brereton was never going to do well in a struggling side in a positions that do not play to his strengths. We all can be a bit too quick to criticise.

13 Oct 2018 11:03:34
We aren't slating him.we was just saying that he couldn’t get in our team and he can’t get in Blackburn’s team and to suggest he would score chances that rashford would miss is mad

13 Oct 2018 12:12:50
Instead of looking back at what might have been,I prefer to look forward. We now have an excellent prospect coming through in Arvin Appiah. If he can be brought through gradually, unlike Brereton, I think he can be truly special. I do not say this flippantly by the way.

13 Oct 2018 15:30:03
And play him in his preferred position when he does get in the squad would be a good idea.

13 Oct 2018 22:39:01
Those chances wern't very difficult and lots of players would have put them away, Rashford missed them end of!

14 Oct 2018 04:01:51
Correct Carlo- that’s better than you first post 👍

12 Oct 2018 13:35:12
Hope England's players mind their language tonight- I would hate to hear swearing at a football match 😁.
