Anyone got any free parking tips for The Flat Pack Stadium visit as there seems to be mainly 2 hour stays around the ground?
Thanks.

05 Dec 2018 18:34:36
Is the train an option for you?
Stadium almost on the doorstep of the station.

05 Dec 2018 18:37:42
Yes mate,as long as we don't "park" the bus!!! Lol!!

05 Dec 2018 19:33:02
Get a lift with your mate karanka red 😁

05 Dec 2018 19:52:29
A least we know what the direby fans will be riding to get there!

05 Dec 2018 20:34:26
That's 2 hours to long 😁😁😁
You could come off at junction 25 M1 and park at train station in long eaton and get a train return for £4.70.

05 Dec 2018 21:16:40
Ps red, hope that journey is not too "pants" for you?🤣🤣🤣😎

05 Dec 2018 22:43:20
Thanks for the train suggestion but I'll be driving. Might thumb a lift with AK as Ill be sat behind him. Could not believe they cannot sell out a stadium?
Making a special trip in the lucky red away trousers just to ensure Lampoo is put in his box.
I fancy a 4-1 win
COYR's

06 Dec 2018 22:42:02
There is another way of free parking, take some bubble wrap with you or a screw driver,on entry it takes your number plate, cover it it up on exit or remove it on exit, then stop and take the wrap off or put plate back,
Works for me😉😉😉

05 Dec 2018 08:58:03
Apart from new keeper to replace pants.
What players are available within budget that would improve our first team. ?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2018 09:35:00
What is the budget?
Is it just get someone in on loan for X amount of wages, or is it get someone in permanent, if so how much is available for the signing/signings?

05 Dec 2018 10:51:17
I think we’d have to sell to buy. We spent ~£20m in the summer and got ~£6.5m for Brereton. We have a few players out to offset some salaries but we have an already bloated squad. We have 1 player yet to get a game and another who is well paid but not getting game time. We need to get a left back in for cover and either recall Worrall or get another defensive option. I like the Heff, I think he has a great personality and is decent but don’t think he’s good enough to hold a place with Fox and Dawson fully fit. That said a left back would allow Robinson to slide across to CB if we needed cover. I think Bournemouth have a great keeper who is being kept out of the sticks by a brilliant one so could be a potential target at a decent price

05 Dec 2018 14:18:08
I think the general consensus is LB and GK. They do have to get players off the books before they can buy/loan any more though and that's where the challenge lies. I'd imagine there's already plenty of work being done behind the scenes to offload the likes of Bridcutt, Watson and Stephen 'just happy to pick up the pay cheque' Henderson. Selling these players in Jan will be a extremely difficult task though with them not playing and demand decent wages. That leads me to believe they'll head out on loan. This creates a bigger problem in the summer, how many players will we have returning to us from their loans? 8?

05 Dec 2018 15:19:35
GR, Bridcutt faced a similar position at Leeds as he now finds himself in with Forest, he chose Forest thinking he would get more playing time than at Leeds he might then leave permanently.

05 Dec 2018 21:05:50
Get de gea in never makes a mistake

05 Dec 2018 21:31:39
Merry Xmas, hope yo like "de gea"she buys you,🤣🤣🤣

05 Dec 2018 06:19:38
paul taylor of nottm post as said that pants is the scapegoat at the min despite keeping 7 clean sheets so far and also he thinks only 1 goal at villa was his fault the rest he has conceded this season are not.

well Bristol c their goal he scored an og - should of tipped it over the bar, wigan their 1st goal he got underneath a corner, Brentford 2nd goal didn't command his 6 yard box and even though the shot was straight at him it still goes in, blackburn 1st goal goes over his head and in - how tall his this guy?, millwall both goals at fault, Norwich 2nd goal palms it straight to their player and villa 2nd goal he fumbled a shot and the 4th no reaction to the header just watched it go in.

so all i'm saying is yes he is a bit of a scapegoat this season as he as cost us a few points also he don't half time waste for no reason.

new keeper in January I think. imo.

Agree8 Disagree3

05 Dec 2018 08:41:43
I thought that the item by Tails was patronising and condescending arran.Too often this season Pants has not been up to the required standard. Whilst we have several players improve under Karankas guidance Pants is still behaving erratically with little sign of improvement. We as fans are simply giving our point of view and should not be wrist slapped by Taylor for doing so. Any way he probably was at a loose end when he wrote said item. YOU REDS!

05 Dec 2018 09:55:51
I’ve got a very simple solution - don’t read the naff articles in the local rag. Very few of them have any substance at all about what is going on the club, most of the content is formed from the opinions of the journalists - I can live without Paul Taylor’s opinions thanks.

05 Dec 2018 11:19:38
Keepers commanding the area is not a current trend in the game as attacking teams work on blocking off defenders and keepers to free up a spare man.

Pants has his faults but gets bad press because of his height which still does not stop him from being pinned on high balls. Most teams set up for the defender to block leaving the keeper to shot stop where Pants is fine!

Cannot think of any outstanding cross gathering keepers at Championship level?

05 Dec 2018 11:29:19
Pants isn't fine as a shot stopper, they bounce off him and back into the danger area, that's happened countless times and cost goals.
His kicking is also poor.

05 Dec 2018 13:37:07
Pants can't jump to claim crosses into the box, as he'd bang his head on the cross bar! He doesn't venture off his line! To add to the errors, I forget who we were paying now, but we were 2 up, looking comfortable, and he threw the ball straight to the opposition striker who then scored. Difficult to defend the guy when there are so many errors in his game!

05 Dec 2018 14:37:05
Let's be honest, he's a calamity in net. Can anyone name anything he does particularly well? IMO his distribution is the worst part of his game. How many times do we see him kick the ball straight to the opposition or out of play, and how long does it take him to decide whether to kick it long or play it short giving the opposition so much time to reshape. We should have known though looking at his history. 15 years in football and only 205 appearances to show for it, and 115 of those were at the start of his career for a nobody Romanian team. He's only ever been employed as a back up to a back up and somehow he's landed as our first choice keeper.

05 Dec 2018 18:10:59
Completely agree Gazza, only hope AK does too and to be fair to him he has addressed our problem areas so far, as the league table shows. I think he’ll sort this in January.

05 Dec 2018 18:11:01
The defence is the only thing bailing pants out all the time and that's not through him commanding them are defence is looking weaker through injuries so the bailing out will stop if we're to move further forward it's a keeper we will need and I'm sure karanka will already have someone in mind I would say maybe pants will get better but he's been around the block enough times and as got no better

05 Dec 2018 18:38:32
Skegs, If the manager is not happy with the recent form of Gulliver then why has Steele been brought in and not been given a run of games?

05 Dec 2018 22:23:41
Lc took him long enough to realise Watson wasn't good enough, we just had replacements ready I'm guessing he just doesn't like something about steel

04 Dec 2018 16:29:43
Who says we don't play football under karanka? all 11 players touched the ball in the lead up to our second goal on Saturday. front to back back to front and in the net.
No 18 passes between the defence then losing it.

Agree6 Disagree3

04 Dec 2018 16:57:16
Who? Waldorf and Statler, I mean 79 and Skeg.

Hopefully even the most pessimistic on here are getting on board now, the 'mid table at best' seem to have calmed.

Still a long way to go but some consistent results which we haven't had for years, well done Forest and Karanka, keep it up.

04 Dec 2018 17:02:25
As far as I’m aware nobody has said that

04 Dec 2018 17:25:34
Sutton and state or is it suttonsinastate 😴😴😴😁

04 Dec 2018 20:05:20
Get back in your cage state,if you can be bothered to read properly I have praised the team and manager for a few weeks now,my beef was with the home form,I was enjoying away games but not home games and I can't get to every away game.
Saturday was the best home performance of the season for me,we attacked from the start and played some great football and barring the woodwork it'd be five nil.
All I've asked for is to be entertained and he's done that the last four games I've watched, keep it up I say and we can all enjoy success and be entertained

04 Dec 2018 22:05:26
We are all critics and managers on this site, but we all want the same thing, Forest to win and play entertaining football, let’s hope it stays like this until the end of the season, so less of the slagging off and get behind Karanka and the boys in red, Also all I want for Christmas is to give them sheep sh. ers a good beating please. 🙏🏻

04 Dec 2018 23:01:12
Ah the big 'E' word.
ENTERTAINMENT. I've been lambasted on here because I've said I would like to see some.
Aren't 3 points enough for you they all say.
Well actually no. I want 3 points and entertainment. That's exactly what we got on Saturday and long may it continue.

04 Dec 2018 23:12:51
What gets me is when things were not going great not many were disagreeing easy to say I told you so after we have picked up.

05 Dec 2018 12:32:05
lol, pokedy poke poke:)

04 Dec 2018 14:33:17
Here's an idea, I think the fans need to give AK ' that loving feeling ' on Saturday. So what chant could we all do on say the 47th minute or whatever time his age is. He has according to the NEP said there is a personal issue and I think it's time to show him we appreciate all he has done for our club to date to cheer him up?

Agree4 Disagree0

04 Dec 2018 15:45:40
Im not a big fan of karankas as everyone knows he's done alright and we are looking a lot better as a team i just hope the personal issue he has is nothing to do with ill health in any part of his family and something that can be sorted out soon

04 Dec 2018 14:24:12
I think a few people on here are forgetting how good Oliver Burke was before he left. He was literally bulldozing teams and scoring goals for fun. He would also be a different type of option to what we have.

As an impact player he would also be far better than Dias. I'd definitely try to get him on loan or if available on the cheap. He could be the final piece in the attacking 4 jigsaw for me.

Agree6 Disagree2

04 Dec 2018 15:01:56
I remember Oli Burke 6 goals in 31 matches, always ran in straight line, never looked up to play the right pass or understood the offside rule?

Still has potential but I have doubts that he is a quick learner to play our quick one and two touch passing game?

04 Dec 2018 15:12:28
RC, With the part of his huge wages we would have to part with he would be a very dear impact player.
West Brom will not take less than what he cost them, and why should they, they will just keep loaning him out.

04 Dec 2018 16:36:44
They are looking to cut their losses on Burke so we wouldn't have to pay all of his wages. He had only just started scoring regularly when he left. Like I say, people just clearly can't remember. Look at the last few reports in the local rags player ratings before he left. He was on fire.

He was playing where he'd grown up (in a footballing sense). It's obvious leaving home before he was old enough has wrecked his career since he left. Were you ready to live in Germany (without speaking the language) without friends and famil as a teenager. His confidence was destroyed. That is also why he wasn't ready for the Prem.

{Ed001's Note - Burke failed in Germany and the Prem because he is too thick. They called him empty hard drive in Germany because he lacked the intelligence to understand tactical instructions.}

04 Dec 2018 16:38:20
And whoever put this in banter can you please stop putting general chat in banter then putting my rumours in banter. It is annoying.

There is a rumour that Burke might be coming back on loan on the back pages of a local rag. Keep up please. :P

{Ed001's Note - you never posted a rumour you posted idle chit chat.}

04 Dec 2018 16:51:21
Think if he were to come back it might be what puts him back to his best as he’s not looked at all comfortable since leaving, I bet he 100% regrets leaving us

04 Dec 2018 19:53:05
Not my memory of burke if I’m honest RC. FAH did very well there I think. I’m not saying I wouldn’t take a chance for the right money but don’t remember it quite as you describe.

04 Dec 2018 19:55:10
Matty cash is a far better player, you have to defend as a winger as well, something burke can't do.

06 Dec 2018 09:30:30
We are definitely discussing the Oli Burke rumour Ed even if I didn't explicitly state "it is rumoured he is available".

Are you sure the problem in Germany wasn't depression and not understanding instructions because he didn't speak the language. I wasn't there obviously but so many kids fail first time they move abroad.

{Ed001's Note - yes you are discussing a rumour, not posting up a rumour.

Yes I am very sure. The same issue has continued at West Brom, he is simply not very bright and that is not going to suit modern managers like Karanka, who give detailed instructions to players.}

06 Dec 2018 09:32:33
Oh and I agree Cash is a better all round player. But for the specific job of running straight through defences with pace (e.g. against slow full backs or tired ones later in the game Burke is as good as any player.

If he's available cheap a few extra goals from him might be the difference between play-offs and automatic.

06 Dec 2018 11:28:50
Only thing is,if he's not good enough for WBA bench,is he really good enough for ours bearing in mind we already have a few loans and only so many can be in the match day squad?
Personally I'd leave it,just a flash in the pan, wingers come along all the time with pace have one good season and fade away,Franz Carr the prime example.

06 Dec 2018 12:37:08
It comes down to giving him a chance I guess. If he needs confidence to perform he has no chance. He is good enough for the West Brom bench in my opinion. That is how you buy bargains. You find underrated players and manage them better but it is all about opinions and what type of player the manager wants.

Franz Carr is a poor comparison. He had no end product all along. They stuck with him because they thought he had potential. We know Burke can produce the end product because we've seen it.

All this could be academic if Appiah comes through during the busy Christmas schedule.

06 Dec 2018 18:19:42
Yacob was deemed not good enough for WBA as well but it doesn't make him a bad player. I liked Burke and think he's much better than Dias or Goncalves.

04 Dec 2018 07:05:23
Hi everyone.

Who's your favorite player soo far this season and why?

Agree0 Disagree1

04 Dec 2018 07:31:17
Murphy!!! 😂😂😂

04 Dec 2018 08:15:34
Joe Worrall for going to Rangers

04 Dec 2018 08:23:54
Watson - what a signing!

04 Dec 2018 09:17:15
Pants best goalkeeper in this league very commanding in the box proper leader just like shilton was 🙄

04 Dec 2018 09:36:03
Vaughan for not being here, whoops forgot,he hardly was anyway for years😁😁

04 Dec 2018 10:58:34
Favourite player Joe Lolley because of the options he gives us going forward.

Most improved player Tendai Darikwa

04 Dec 2018 15:00:26
The man with the really Big Pants! 😎

04 Dec 2018 16:31:08
Zac Clough for me!

04 Dec 2018 19:54:08
Every single sad pie player for making my weekend most weekends this season!

05 Dec 2018 14:23:52
Now then 2star mate it’s not nice to mock the afflicted lol

03 Dec 2018 19:46:52
Chelsea uredddssss.

Agree4 Disagree2

03 Dec 2018 20:59:25
We should enjoy this one , real test against their lesser players , good day out to test where we are . Any takers on a 5-5 draw , what none! We need to get A certain full back in place , just for this one game .

03 Dec 2018 21:00:52
Make ya mind up

03 Dec 2018 21:03:54
That’s going to be a hard test, if we can keep this run going it will be a good barometer to see where we are as a team.🤞

03 Dec 2018 21:29:22
I hope they don't recall Tammy Abraham for the game!

03 Dec 2018 22:05:21
Hope we don,t put a Burton type team out!
CARLO

04 Dec 2018 11:15:18
Let's hope tv don't spoil it for the fans and play Monday or Friday?

04 Dec 2018 14:08:34
Something will have to give mate law won’t allow qpr Leeds Chelsea forest the same day plus brum at West Ham and2miles down the road Fulham at home as well guaranteed some dates will change

04 Dec 2018 14:20:02
I know that's why I posted,no doubt we will be the ones to suffer.

03 Dec 2018 17:12:11
Apparently karanka will be looking to strengthen our team in January
But where do we need to strengthen
And who could be available.
We definitely need a quality keeper
Thoughts please?

Agree5 Disagree1

03 Dec 2018 18:39:41
Left back and goal keeper. Left back first. A young man united goal keeper seems a good option too.

03 Dec 2018 19:24:07
Goalkeeper is a must a left back and another striker mind you I don't know what decent striker out there would want to come and sit on the bench as he wouldn't get much playing time why grabbon is fit

03 Dec 2018 19:37:17
Alan Nixon has been quoted as saying the manager wants numerous players to come in.
Steele has not been given a run of games to prove himself so Pants is not going to be replaced.
A left back, someone to replace Fox, and someone to replace Murphy as he can not be relied on to play enough games should he be needed.
Im not sure the new striker is the same type of striker as Murphy.
Other than that i can not see where else the manager would want to go player wise.
As for who to bring in, the manager has a knack of bringing in players i would not have thought of, either because i would not have thought they would join us, or they are not the usual suspects.

04 Dec 2018 08:27:19
Can't disagree with GK and LB. Most of our attacking threat comes down the right, we need a LB who can match Darikwas attacking capabilities.

03 Dec 2018 15:28:39
All the hype about getting Worrall back. He wasn't even in the Rangers starting eleven on Sunday.
If he wasn't still on our books, would we be looking at him as a replacement for our injured/suspended players?
Ofcourse not. He might have improved a bit but he's no where near good enough for us at the moment.
If it comes to, Robinson is a better bet.

Agree6 Disagree9

04 Dec 2018 05:49:25
worrall needs to stay were he is. since he been out of the team, there have been no silly mistakes that cost forest the games, worrall cost us at least 8 games with is mistakes. he not good enough to play for forest

04 Dec 2018 08:29:32
Couldn't agree more.why did we never take 10m for him.he's slowly being found out as the league 1 defender that he is. Head it and hit it. Just like brereton clough and walker

04 Dec 2018 11:05:24
Totally disagree think Joe Worrall will be a future Forest Captain in a couple of years.

Give the lad a chance he's a red thru and thru and has represented his country as a CB,

It's a fact that CBs get better with age and experience, can't believe the negativity towards " one of our own "

04 Dec 2018 13:31:33
Worrall out?? lol

Probably the same bozos that wanted rid of that useless Portuguese fella who can't stop creating.

04 Dec 2018 14:12:25
Seriously why the bad words for our Worrall. Don't forget last season our defending and midfield didn't close down a lot of teams and allowed them to carve us open at will putting the defence under immense pressure. Bring the lad back then he'll show wat he can do.

04 Dec 2018 15:59:40
These are the same Forest "fans" who slagged off Lewis Grabban calling him Grab one etc etc.

Joe Worrall is playing European football at his young age one for the future methinks.

As are Gomis,Appiah,Edser and Yates

Figeredos and Worrall could be the heart of our defence for the next ten years.

AK isn't playing him because he's under pressure to get instant results! Blooding young players takes time and patience.

The next Michael Dawson imo

04 Dec 2018 16:46:07
Worrall should be at forest learning off Dawson, and when a bloke like SSWE calls me a bozo I know I must be doing something right , it’s easy to agree with everything that the club does all of the time more difficult to have an opinion of your own and not be a nodding yes man like u seem to be
