Nuno's press conference, he said Bolys still out and Awoniyi is " Treating himself". What does that mean!.

I actually got the third shirt of that site. its OK;though the badge seems a bit off.

05 Apr 2024 11:36:40
Read an amazing fact in the Athletic, for over 82 years Nottingham Forest have had a player from the academy or home grown in Nottingham, in the first team squad, at the moment that responsibility is with Ryan Yates. Quite an achievement!.

Yes I saw that too Barron. Apparently it covers 1048 matches going back to October 1941! Incredible stat!

05 Apr 2024 19:18:06
I remember the early sixties when we chucked about six in, all teenagers, they all made the grade.
In those days football was a little slower but some real tough guys around, it was just as a big a test as it is today without the huge rewards.
CARLO.

I'm tempting fate here but isn't it refreshing to have a run of games not decided against us by VAR and/ or duff reffing calamities? Michael Oliver had a brilliant game against Fulham, let it flow and made sensible decisions
You can always tell the refs had a good game when you don't notice him.
( we also had a VAR go for us against Luton with their handball goal)
Is the tide turning?

05 Apr 2024 10:45:52
Welcome aboard Stellaskegs! I hope you are nothing like that other Skeggy lad Jay from Leicestershire who used to travel around on the Barton busses. He was a right goon and sounded like he’d had too many spins on the waltzers. ?.

Nobody could be as much of a plonker as that bloke eh Perko.
Let's give this NEW bloke a chance. I mean, he's given himself a really original name. No one would think it's the same bloke would they.
It's been great on here recently, let's hope it continues.

What an amazing game the other night. Saw some serious cohesion through the team. When the blades get relegated, I love the look of that Brereton Diaz. Real heart, passion and class. Listening to the Chris wilder interview, god the guy is an absolute moron. Has the personality of a postage stamp. Like listening to uninspiring drivel.

I can't understand wht we didn't go back in for him Stokey. Just what we needed at the time.

05 Apr 2024 14:59:28
Agree Gazzi mate. Certainly proven at Championship level. Had all the attributes, work rate, physicality, scores goals, good poacher and good football brain.
Guess ( until recently) never had the chance at top level. Remains another “ what might have been”.

04 Apr 2024 18:26:21
Can’t see us getting anything from Spurs game but as long as we have a go I will be happy. Don’t want to slip back into that team of Crystal Palace first half. Got to try to press on and play a little football.
The set piece fiasco needs addressing pronto.

Ffs froggy, i know I'd said I've left, but as you know we've all done it. going to always pop my head in and read posts. Try a f kn red shirt on young man. No wonder the WFCG is on a downer. Get you head outta ya arse and believe. And rogie the diamond, murrilo isn't about pace sir. Noticed you got to few thumbs up there. ? what he does is read the simple things. The game, and he's probably been professional and looked up on players runs, what foot they play on etc. Something our coaches should be drilling. Anyway bye for now. Btw froggy nothing personal, just f kn chill mate. We need confidence not negativity. Bfn COYR.

04 Apr 2024 21:41:54
Good to hear from you mate!

04 Apr 2024 22:45:37
Ya know i luv ya diamond, froggy what I'm trying to say sir is this,
My old day's gambling, i know and my good friend stevie f will agree, you moan your horse from the first furlong, you got to remember, there's plenty more fences to approach, each of them different in a chase. each one higher as the race goes on. Now it's no good throwing beer cans at the jockey, when he's whipping it best he can. Words of wisdom. Were never going to have an overweight trainer like clough, were never going to have a lightweight taylor leading them into the paddock. There never going to have the sounds of the WFCG as before cheering them into 1st pkace. But most of ya will still have your pride into believing in the horse and your investment. Wherever it may run. Proud as f ck into all of ya. But especially the away fans. COYR.

Hello boys today agree Bowie redfrog chill enjoy the win and save the negatives for when we lose best first half of football I've seen in years the whole team was unbelievable.

Yes, welcome "Stella" mate. before you know it, it will be like you've known everyone on here for years. ???.

05 Apr 2024 07:46:44
Welcome back Bowie and the new lad Stella!
Don’t know if I ve ever shared my horse racing experience on here.
Well, the day of the races I kept seeing the number 7. So, for example, there’s a taxi firm round here called “Lucky 7” and I kept seeing their cars. What’s more, they all had 7s in the number plate. I looked up and saw 7 clouds in the sky then a flock of 7 jackdaws flew past. There were 7 butterflies in my garden.
So I thought, right it’s a sign. Do I went to the bookies and put £50 quid on horse number 7.
It came 7th …………?????.

05 Apr 2024 07:47:58
Hi rogie Stella is not because I drink it I'm tea total ? and I've been reading the site for years all seem a lovely bunch of lads thought I would like to join in with the conversations so take it easy on this newbie and thanks mv ??.

You read it here first Tottenham 1 Forest 2

I honestly believe that we will beat them on Sunday

If we play as we did in the first half against Fulham I see nothing to be frightened of at Spurs

Spurs as Stevie says play a high line and Callum and Elanga can get in behind them.

MGW against Fulham, everything worked back heels, flicks and exalant passing, but have to agree with Nuno that the whole team played there part. l. Funny when we play like that var and refs don't matter. One thing's for sure it won't be nil-nil against spurs, maybe 3-4?.

So the premier league are discussing abolishing the points deduction fiasco, as much as I would welcome the change and the 4 points back it just proves that the Arab owners are running the show. I mean heavens above they can’t Man City in the conference can they, what would the rest of the world think.

04 Apr 2024 17:32:23
To be replaced with a luxury tax whatever that is let's look after the Arabs etc, first Man City should be found guilty for their 115 transgressions 1 point for every Million ?.

{Ed001's Note - if it is a luxury tax the same as it works in the NBA, then the team over the threshold pays into an account that gets shared out between the clubs who stay within the rules at the end of each season. So it gives the ones not going over the limit extra money to spend the following season. Would be a fairer way to do it.

Man City's case is not relevant as they will be tried under the rules at the time they broke them, not as they will be by the time it is resolved.}

04 Apr 2024 18:12:54
Thanks Ed 1 I agree with your analysis.
Red Vale, I think the current points deduction system has caused unexpected consequences and is universally unpopular ( not just the Emirates ( ie Arab ) sponsors but with the American Owners ( 4 of the big 6 are American owned I think).
The system has upset everyone, the Premier League because it would no longer attract the best players in the World and make it the showpiece and most lucrative, the Agents because the last thing they want is zero transfer window activity ( as happened over the last window), the various people with their snouts in the trough and the players because clubs cut back on wages and fees etc.
I think, basically, the system was brought in to appease and fend off Government interference and regulation but in the process has gone against various wealthy and powerful vested interests ( never a good idea ).

04 Apr 2024 19:50:13
We must include Newcastle in the top elite, there owners Saudi royals want it calling the top seven not the top six, as they believe they have a right to be included. With all that money I don't know why they don't just go ahead with that super league and try and let the rest of us get on with it without one hand tied behind our backs.

03 Apr 2024 13:58:10
Can't add anything to what's been said on here already. Probably the best half of football since we've been in the Prem and, for a change, much better than usual game management 2nd half ( although set pieces remain a problem). Scintillating stuff, pace, power, controlled aggression, intensity, skill. Difficult to pick a man of the match, MGW ran the midfield with great support from Yatesy and Danillo. The full backs, Neco especially, were superb, the young Centre Back pair very steady against a good Fulham attack.

Our old friend "Plankov" showed again what a great job he's doing and Sels continues to look the part in goal. The subs did well ( even the unused ones like Turner chucking a second ball onto the pitch to disrupt things a bit (you naughty boy Matt) ?
The ground was rocking before, during and after the game helped by our early goal. It was good to see an opposition coach having to press the panic button after 30 mins such was our dominance.

I suspect our momentum might well be halted by Spurs on Sunday but they do give you a chance with their high line particularly against our pace. But atm I feel like the U boat captain ( brilliantly played by Jurgen Prochnow) in "Das Boat" when he escapes to safety after being relentlessly depth charged by the Royal Navy. "Not yet Tommie, not yet".

We have given ourselves a chance but, as Mao Zedong said when asked about the effects on Communism of the French Revolution "It's far too early to say ". Coyr! ??????????.

03 Apr 2024 16:02:32
Only seen the brief highlights Stokey, but Danilo has picked up the outside of the boot habit. Is it conceit? Or maybe simply a one footed player who daren't use his other foot? Anyway on Sunday we could always use a joystick, which Ange has been suggesting, to give extra dimensions to our players! Who would you like to control most? For me it has to be Origi! Oh, the wonders we could create!

03 Apr 2024 18:47:45
That's save by Mat "Banks" Sels!

03 Apr 2024 19:25:12
Norfolk mate, Danillo had an excellent all round game, probably the best I’ve ever seen him play. He and Yates covered so much ground and worked incredibly hard, especially in the 2nd half when we were most under pressure. Both great athletes and box to box midfielders.
I watched extended highlights of Fulham’s previous game against the Blades and I was amazed how slow and ponderous their back 4 and holding midfielders were and so it proved against us. Even McBurnie, Benny Osbourne and Brereton, none of them particularly quick caught them out a few times in their 3 all draw. So I was hopeful that Elanga CHO MGW would cause them problems.

03 Apr 2024 20:23:33
Go on you Gooners!

03 Apr 2024 23:09:49
I do enjoy reading your posts Stokey! OK, truthfully you lose me for 25% of the time but that's just my ignorance of history. Keep it up mate!

04 Apr 2024 09:42:48

I personally want to eat a large slice of humble pie and apologise to Chris Wood for all my Plankov jibes

Now we are playing to his strengths he is single handed keeping us in the premier league from a strikers point of view, he has been superb since Awoniyis absence

Keep it up please Chris.

I'm dead pleased for Wood. Surely you all knew he was a good player when fully fit and firing? Clever player!

Brilliant first half hour. A few more decent performances and we should be safe. ?.

03 Apr 2024 17:25:28
Can see the football god's readying to wipe the smiles of our faces, with Luton winning tonight.

03 Apr 2024 17:25:57
I've always said he might just be our "Sheringham"

03 Apr 2024 18:49:15
Arsenal will absolutely destroy Luton. I do like them however FTID.

04 Apr 2024 13:54:03
There’s a lesson to be learned here, don’t make personal attacks on players and fellow posters.
CARLO.

03 Apr 2024 12:44:51
Told you we would win with that side and a front foot approach!

Great win and great 1st half performance just a shame we reverted to type 2nd half and tried to defend the lead! What happened we conceded in the first 5 minutes!

Nuno more of the first 45 much less of the second!

You cannot invite a footballing side onto you like we did

Neco Murrilo Obamadele MGW CHO and Wood superb last night COYR.

Agree3 Disagree0

03 Apr 2024 13:15:48
MM I agree to your list of positive player performance, Radio Nottingham were saying MGW in the first 45 mins was the best they had seen in 10 yrs!
My very slight criticism of MGW is not enough goals but so many assists because he is a team player not after personal glory. Mr Southgate should take note!
However CHO and Elanga score a few goals between them but next to no assists ie less team players. This was a BJ issue.

03 Apr 2024 14:24:00
Think you’re wrong with Johnson assists.
CARLO.

03 Apr 2024 22:10:01
Initially BJ naturally wanted to score goals as ever player likes. When about this time in the season after I think a few sub appearances he got more assists and Tiawo goals as a result.

03 Apr 2024 11:46:12
Injuries permitting I hope nuno is brave and plays the same team on Sunday, Tottenham play a high line like Fulham, and will be susceptible to our pace,

Agree6 Disagree0

03 Apr 2024 13:13:05
I agree Stevie we need to go there with no fear high press front foot football

Neco and Aina look excellent atm and I hope Nuno sticks with Obamadele and Murrilo a settled back four infront of an improving Sels

Yates and Danilo/ Dominguez holding and CHO MGW Elanga and Wood up top is our best side atm and far to good to get relegated

Bring on Spurs COYR.

03 Apr 2024 23:14:59
Totally agree. Same team and, hopefully, the same resolve. Maybe MGW will be even better at Spurs showcasing his skills to a potential future employer.

04 Apr 2024 07:51:58
'Don't change a winning team', Stevie. I've always believed that. Barring injuries there is no real reason to change the side. Coming off the back of a good result and a well deserve one, at that, there is no need to alter a thing.

03 Apr 2024 10:49:36
Lots of love for MGW and rightly so, but for me Aina and Neco last night wouldn’t have looked out of place in a Real Madrid shirt! Outstanding ??.
