Heard someone say that SOD has told someone Cox has signed

Believable9 Unbelievable8

I've heard some negative comments from some fans about Cox.

Must admit I had my reservations but he has scored goals at Championship level, has played (Many times out of position) in the PL is an international and has many other clubs apart from us chasing him.

He sounds ok to me, get him signed!!!

Agree1 Disagree0

Deal to be completed this weekend judging by local reports post match. I would love it if we also got in Kyle Bennett and Ryan Hall but I guess SOD

Agree0 Disagree0

According to SSN he`s having a medical at Forest this morning. At this level he will score goals. COYR

Agree1 Disagree0

Forest have signed cox just been on ssn

forest to sign west brom winger. thought to be cox or thomas they would stay for another day or two (because of match at CG) and deal would be done for one of them.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Cox is a striker .

Agree0 Disagree0

And now a forest player

A few fans have posted on twitter that cox will sign tonight or in the morning. Apparently sod was signing autographs outside and kept getting asked. His reply "maybe tonight or Tommorow". They have been bombarded with abuse since but all plead this to be true and are big forest fans so don't see why they would lie! Don't shoot the messenger

Simon {Ed034's Note - Have read the same thing so if your going to shoot Simon, you'll need another bullet for me lol

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Glad you've got my back ed!

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul Taylor has pretty much said that a deal will be done over the weekend so there maybe was truth in the op.

Simon

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah read it as well cheers pal. Would be a good signing, but would like to see 2 or 3 of our strikers getting sold ASAP. Miller priority as his wages i think are over 20k a week.

Agree0 Disagree0

And me!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive also read this so if anyone wants to shoot the messenger and ed youll nedd 3 bullets cause im in too

I have good authority to say Cameron Jerome will be joining forest in the next 48 hours on a 6 month loan deal

Believable10 Unbelievable7

Good authority being?? I have it on good authority he isnt!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cor another new name on the strikers coming to Forest list. Do we believe this one?!

Agree1 Disagree0

I have it on good authority to say behave yourself no he's not

Agree0 Disagree0

Highly doubtful. Pulis is happy with Jerome and is trying to sell walters and Jones instead.

Agree0 Disagree0

Quality player !

I think we would need to lose a striker or two before we get any more (after Cox of course)

heard a rumour we are gonna try a cheeky bid to get romelu lukaku on a season long loan from chelsea. just shows our ambition. could be the final piece of the jigsaw. coyr!

Believable4 Unbelievable16

God these rumours get better and better half are were people have looked on sky sports website, hurm yer im not going to fulham to play in prem, i will go forest instead, but they are funny keep them coming

Agree0 Disagree0

This is utter rubbish.

I heard an interview earlier on SSN that said he will be going on loan to a PL club and that it had already been agreed.

I think your post is based on wishful thinking rather than fact based.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance West Brom want him to. Chelsea would loan him to the prem to gain prem experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance of that happening , he is going to west brom on loan , he is already up with them and training with them

Agree0 Disagree0

West brom want him and he wants pl football

Agree0 Disagree0

SSN have confirmed he has gone to WBA on season long loan. Steve-o

Agree0 Disagree0

Baggies. Confirmed. Ssn.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that why i was at the game last night and after game got signatures and he walked out in a westt brom training kit and said i couldnt play tonight i only just signed today he watched it

On the verge of signing Shola Ameobi from Newcastle as he is deemed surplus to requirements by manager Alan Pardew.

Believable5 Unbelievable14

I hope not, he is a worse sick note than Darren Anderton and owen

Agree0 Disagree0

Where have you heard this? Unlikely until EPL squads announced

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter rubbish. They are short of strikers and no-one will go unless they bring players in.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is not leaving

Agree0 Disagree0

Say again, rubbish he is NOT what SOD wants in a striker!

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be great ,but I seriously doubt it.lol

Agree0 Disagree0

SHOLA AMEOBI WILL NEVER LEAVE NEWCASTLE. HE'S THE MACKEM SLAYER!!

I've just come back from a job interview in Leeds. Was talking to a leeds fan and he says they are in turmoil over the takeover collapse.

He seemed convinced that Ross McCormack is signing for us.

I wonder if this means that the Simon Cox deal is dead or we are after both?

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Takeover is back on for Leeds, and McCormack is currently negotiating a new contract with Leeds as we speak

Agree0 Disagree1

Would sooner have McCormack to be honest, better striker than Cox

Agree1 Disagree1

Obviously telling you porkies, we're not in turmoil, takeover is still in process and mccormack in talks for a new 3 year deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Unbelievable, there aren't any jobs left in the north of England, so how could you be having an interview?

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard from good source that Jerome Thomas will hold talks with the club either before or after todays game before he leaves Nottingham

Believable4 Unbelievable8

McGoldrick isn't going anywhere, massively impressed SOD in pre season. I imagine the strikers to be Blackstock, Cox, McGoldrick and Miller.

Tudgay's been linked with Pboro and Derbyshire, well....hopefully the scrap pile. Blackburn 'need' a striker allegedly, please come in for him!

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Tudgay was supposedly the subject of a bid from Millwall-which I presume was turned down? Derbyshire supposed to be fitter after full pre-season but presumably still not good enough?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sod couldnt have been looking at the mcgoldrick that turned out a few times last season i say turned out because he certainly didnt play

Agree0 Disagree0

Tudgays Not so bad hes a hard worker an was a hero scoring for us against derby short memories........

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm happy to take a risk on goldie this season, give him one hood final chance.. Still think we need a class striker in aswell, anyone have any new info on cox? Has he actually held face to face talks with us?

Agree0 Disagree0

You're contradicting yourself, So SOD is keeping a player that has impressed him and also keeping a player that hasn't impressed in Miller?

Agree0 Disagree1

If all our strikers are fit then we have all the fire power and competition we need.
All offer something a bit different and Findley/Derbyshire and Miller can play wide and down the middle.
All if rotated should weigh in with at least 10 goals a season a peice. Job done!

Agree0 Disagree0

Minus the back-heel attempts, I'm expecting McGoldrick to go again this season...

Agree0 Disagree0

What an absolute person you really are!! Do you watch Forest at all?? You can't do or you'd see what a grafter Tuddy really is...the useless ones like Ando have already gone why don't you disappear with him!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nottingham Forest planning to hijack swansea city's
bid for Bristols Albert Adomah. SOD is set on a winger
and with the speculation of Ryan Hall and Kyle Bennett coming to a hault SOD has been given
the go ahead to spend.

Coppinger has been in talks all week too.
Set to be announced over the weekend as a Nottingham Forest player.

Believable7 Unbelievable12

Spend forest will not spend any money at all no big names coming in we have been let down by the takeover we have not spent all of the money we have had in for players we sold so the new owners have not spent sweet yet and by the looks of it they will not

Agree0 Disagree2

I`ve heard good things about Adomah - hope we can sign him. Does anyone know if we have a scouting system outside of UK?

I see that we are linked with a £2 mill move for Simon Cox. For that kind of money we could have bought a lot better players from abroad. In Scandinavia you could get established international players for half that price.

Wolves has just signed Björn Bergmann Sigurdarsson from Lillestrom in Norway, and he is a class act player for the same price.

With so many ex-Scandinavian players during the years Forest should be able to pull of some real coups over here.. # Norwegian Forest supporter

Agree0 Disagree0

This is unsual no replies to this rumour dose this mean it's got some truth. Or just no one online

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would Coppinger need to talk all week? He would come to us in a shot so stop talking bull.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we need to overhaul the scouting network completely, we doesn't seem to unearth many gems as opposed to other clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does everyone think that just because players are available that we must be in for them all?

Surely you have better things to do, what a load of john bull!

Agree0 Disagree0

The spend spend posting is absolutely rubbish
SO'D wil spend correctly and wisely when the time is right
I am sure that the genuine Forest fan does not feel let down by the new owners but are thankfull for their hard work and commitment to our club

Agree0 Disagree0

Adomah is not for sale, big part of Citys plans.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy with the scout comment...

We had the best scouting system in the Football league a few years ago until Billy Davies got his hands on the club.

Also the fact we lost a few scouts to Manchester united and Chelsea.

You have gotta remember we pulled raddy moussi and mcleary and we probably missed out on a whole lot more because the way our club was run...

Agree0 Disagree0

True com about the scouts mate.

Notts County manager Keith Curle has revealed that defender Kieron Freeman could be set to join his side from Nottingham Forest this summer.

Believable8 Unbelievable7

The report on I read didnt confirm whether this was a loan or signing. I hope its a loan deal and we arent letting him go perm.

Agree0 Disagree0

That might be true, but there's no way it'll be anything other than on loan. Far to big a talent to be let go. The extra experience will do him the world of good. Come on you mighty reds!!

Agree0 Disagree0

He's going to Derby.

Agree0 Disagree0

Freeman has a poor attitude problem and has been suggesting he wants a move. Swap him for Judge.

Agree0 Disagree0

Evidence of poor attitude when every manager he plays for has praised him? Not what Curle said at all, in fact he said they had been enquiring all summer and JUST heard that Forest will make him available for loan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Findly will play as a winger this season and mcg and tudgay have impressed in the friendlys so will feature this season but one striker and a winger will still be added.

Believable8 Unbelievable8

Which 'mcg'?

Agree0 Disagree0

Tudgay impressed? did he see the game on tuesday or the whole of last season? Tudgay is a poor championship striker. If he plays frequently next season we will be mid table at very best

Agree0 Disagree0

Findley should always have played on the wing, his pace is too much to be upfront
and to be honest with service tudders aint too bad

Agree0 Disagree0

Liam lawrence has left Portsmouth and has now become a free agent, with Cardiff leading the race to sign him.

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Will demand too high wages, better off without

Agree0 Disagree0

Whitingham would be nice ?

Agree0 Disagree1

Love the fact someone has disagreed with this. Unless you're the Cardiff gaffer... how can you disagree? I reckon some people get their kicks just from coming on here and clicking the disagree button... to everything! {Ed007's Note - It just shows how sad some people actually are. I suppose they need to fill their feeble minds with something instead of having any mates.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Could be true apart from fact that he himself said in local news that Cardiff deal had gone cold and that he wished them all the best. Was talking about staying with the new Portsmouth on a new contract. Once again Ed unfairly slagging peope off.....bear in mind those sad people keep the likes of you in a job! {Ed034's Note - 1. If you notice the number ed it was, it wasn't me. 2. We all do this for free!!! 3. If you don't like our input, don't come on the site.

Freeman and Lascelles going out on loan.
That leaves us with only 5 defenders again {Ed034's Note - But two that can be recalled

Believable6 Unbelievable12

I think it all depends on what standard they experience whilst out on loan. I think both could go to a championship team like a Sheffield WednesdaY or a Charlton and do well!

Agree1 Disagree0

Which is likely to mean we'll be signing 2-3

Agree2 Disagree0

SOD has already stated he wants to sign more defenders.

Agree1 Disagree0

Not if they are season long loans like SOD says is going to be the case for Lascelles {Ed034's Note - like said in a previous comment, it is looking more and more likely that more defenders will come in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sheffield Wednesday are serious challengers this season, i think its disrespectful to think that we could use them for one of our players to get experience. I'm on them e/w at 25/1 {Ed034's Note - you must be a sheffield wednesday fan to say this and a very blue/white tinted glasses one. i work with a wednesday fan and the best he is thinking is the bottom of the top half (10th-12th). they just havn't got enough, imo, to mount a challenge.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its going to be hard enough to get the defenders we already have brought in to gel. Let alone any still to be negotiated for. No time to waste.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think a full season, whatever the level for lescelles will be so positive for his development.

However Freeman needs to push his limits so championship or upper league 1 is so important for this guy !!

Hopefully he can move to scunny or notts for some regular game time. :)

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm forest through and through ed, i just reckon they will be serious outsiders. They have momentum from last season, a decent manager, and a more than capable squad (especially now Antonio has signed permanently). Top six for sure for me {Ed034's Note - i wouldn't waste my money on them

Agree0 Disagree0

I bet people thought they wouldnt waste there money on Norwich and Southampton over the last few seasons. Its not about the players you have its about how they play together and the mentality of the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance of Forest reaching top six this season our competition is too strong. Mid table at best i reckon and next summer will be when the owners will invest more money in players. Sevely lacking in creativity and firepower plus a brand new back four with little to no cover. {Ed034's Note - radi, mcgugen, pep, Reid.....creative???

Agree0 Disagree0

Radi hasnt been the same player since his loan season should be sold, Mcguigan is inconsistant, Reid i think can still offer us something and pep was a good player in a poor team last season team. Just my opinion of what i saw last season. If we are going to finish in the top six we need better players obviously.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have 5 good strikers 2 amazing finishers and Cohen Reid radi pep mcgugan who can all pick a pass, and even if that fails halford has an awesome long throw

Agree0 Disagree0
