I'll be very sad if Nicky comes banging on my door because he wants to leave West Bromwich Albion to go to Forest, " Hodgson said.

"I've got great respect for Forest. I think they are going to be a major force next year but, at the moment, I can offer Nicky Shorey Premier League football and I hope that's what he'll choose."

Believable25 Unbelievable10

For Hodgson to refer to Forest specifically could well mean there has been contact. Perhaps even a fee has been agreed and Shorey is considering the move?

Forest have just missed out to Derby for a young french lad, Arnold Onions age 20, who is set to sign for Derby next week, David Frilo the french scout for Man Utd recommended him, he reckons he would be a good player for Championship level, Frilo used to scout for Forest, he offered him to Forest first but Derby offered better wages.

Believable7 Unbelievable24

I would imagine a Forest fan would be able to spell David Friio's name properly.

Agree0 Disagree0

This fench lad Arnold Onions, should fit in well at Derby with the rest of the tripe

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he must be a good player, because David Friio, knows his Onions

Agree0 Disagree0

There's no such player

Agree0 Disagree0

Its graham onions...

and why would forest want to buy a cricketer ?

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a goal keeper so who really cares.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hahaha Very funny, i like that one.
Man u scout frilo? offering a player to other clubs? Arnold Onions of all people hmmm.

Sorry folks, Maynard will not be coming to the City Ground, Festa will grab him for £5.75m (too much for us).

However it is understood that SMc has 3 other targets.

Believable16 Unbelievable15

Good because he is totally overpriced, festa will think he has a bargain, better players out there for half the price, Sharp for e.g

Agree0 Disagree0

Leicester can have him, no-one is worth more than five million in this division. Besides, we have NUMBER 24, ROBBIE FINDLEY

Agree0 Disagree0

Let the Bin-dippers have him if this is genuine; I was worried when the proposed price went above 2.5m. Championship prices are crazy at the moment and it's good that we've got a manager with so many Euro contacts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes your right look what you get for 5.75mil we get goodwillie and sharp for that like to see janko at city ground

Anyone think we should take a look at Thomas Cruise? He's just been released by Arsenal and is an actual left back I don't think he ever made an appearance for Arsenal but he's represented England at various youth levels. I know left back has been Mission Impossible for us, but we may have the answer, if McClaren chooses to accept him.

Believable12 Unbelievable6

I like what you did there I heard he may be quiet good but i doubt he is good enough for the 1st team. Unlike Bertrand who has had loan experience with 3 championship teams, Cruise has no real experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol i like this one

Agree0 Disagree0

Has played in the champions league, not too badly either. still, he needs regular first team experience.

Nicky Shorey has told west brom boss he now feels it is time to move on. With Nottingham forest his prefered club it now looks likely that steve McClaren will at last get his man, and a great left back to boot. Welcome home nicky we sure have missed you son.

Believable21 Unbelievable8

SOURCE?

Sky Sports News is the source, I am now much more optimistic about it.

Someone talking out a dark brownhole yet again.

It's on Sky Sports News, you muppet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Coulda... woulda... shoulda... DIDN'T

Your failure (again) to go up had nothing to do with missing a left back, you were simply not good enough. You were in the automatic promotion places at one point, you had loads of games in hand due to the bad weather and you still choked... hilarious Even more hilarious was watching you lot crying like girls, made my day that did, enjoy yet another season of abject failure. McClaren to walk out on you sad lot by Christmas and your relegation back to where you belong to be confirmed by Easter.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think r getting a week mixed up with a mounth :L

Agree0 Disagree0

All seem visable with the exception of Matavz imo. Aside from the fact that he would be too expensive and unlikely to come to us. He recently turned down a move to serie A side Napoli after failing to agree personal terms.

Whenever they may sign, if this is true, I will be very happy. Class signings.

It is said that announcements are to be made on tuesday with as many as 5 players comng in. im surprised nobody has actual put this on this site yet because there has got to be more than just me that listens to radio nottingham. i dont speak b.s. I suspect that the players coming will include Routledge, Zenden and maybe Barnes. Dont know about the rest.

source: bbc radio nottingham

Believable15 Unbelievable12

Barns is at Leeds you muppet having a trail, outledge is not joining forest and 5 players will not be signing tuesday or any other day soon, you forget MA is involved so its as good as fooked already

Agree0 Disagree0

I have radio nottingham all day and i have heard nothing, so in my book it say's you are speaking B*******t

Agree0 Disagree0

To the first replier, you're a muppet. Barnes is TRAINING AT FOREST, Routledge looks close, and so does Shorey strangely.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barnes played in the Forest friendly last night (see Lews mcgugan's tweet) so the first replier is clearly wrong. chunky_snowman

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't u mean on capital fm, it said that on there

Agree0 Disagree0

First person, barnEs is not going for a walk, he is not on a trail. He is rumoured to have a trial at leeds but that doesnt mean he cant go somewhere else.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry everyone, i made a mistake, it was capital fm that said it, i know this makes it sound less believable but i assure this was said, i wouldnt post a lie, i get annoyed at all the idiots who post crap on here

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sorry but this is pathetic we should have had these players last week and more

Some interesting news coming from the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest will sell Luke Chambers to Reading for an undisclosed fee.

Chris Gunter is a target for Norwich City and would demand a fee in the region of £1.5m.

Lewis McGugan could get his chance to prove himself in the Premier League if QPR sell Taarabt this Summer.

Lee Camp will sign for Aston Villa in a fee reported to be worth £2m + £500k after 30 league appearances.

Out of contract Guy Moussi looks set on a move to Everton.

Wes Morgan is a target for Portsmouth.

David McGoldrick could move to Swindon for £300k.

Scunthorpe have had a bid accepted for Joe Garner, thought to be in the region of £100k.

Nottingham Forest are looking to recoup some of their £60m debts owed to chairman Nigel Doughty, so moves out look likely. The club look set to use their youth players more over the coming few seasons

Shut it sheep head and go find your mummy as I'm sure it's bed time

Believable4 Unbelievable29

Why would gunter go for what we bought him for and very much doubt Wes's mum wants him going to portsmouth and as for the others think you need to stop making up BS

Agree0 Disagree0

U make me laugh so according to you we will have 4 players next year eidiot. Even if big money came in mcgugan and chambers will not be sold

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, this would leave us with 10 players, hmmmmmmmm, not happening

Believable9 Unbelievable11

No it's not, he's training with us. :P

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably puttin 2+2 together and getting 75,000 but Forest expecting confirmed signings next week + on twitter, Jay Bothroyd has stated he will decide on his future next week

Believable8 Unbelievable10

He'll be off to a prem team fact

Agree0 Disagree0

U don't know this, you're just presuming, it seems likely he'll be prem, but u don't know, no one does so it's not "FACT"

Agree0 Disagree0

In The Sun a few days ago. Apparently his agent has been asking for 65k a week More than 10m over 3 years. I doubt he'll get that, but even half is probably more than forest could afford on one player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have been at Silverstone today and spotted nffc manager Steve Mcclaren in the Red Bull hospitality area. He was with Hoffenheim left back Bernt Ruber and another man who i presume was his agent.

Hopefully Steve can get this deal sorted and we can see the pacey left back at the City Ground next season.

Believable12 Unbelievable20

I seriously doubt this.

West Brom boss Roy Hodgson has ruled out a move for Jonathan Woodgate and revealed Nicky Shorey wants to join Nottingham Forest

Believable25 Unbelievable15

No he hasnt, he said we are a ecent team and he knows we are interested, but he can offer shorey Prem footy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you can INFER he is interested in coming to Forest. Otherwise why would he even be talking about it publicly? chunky_snowman

Agree0 Disagree0

No Roy Hodgson isnt offering shorey 1st team football, thats the problem, he is going to sign Ridgewell from Birmingham and wants shorey to be a bench warmer, he will come to Forest fact

Agree0 Disagree0

It's true, got an e-mail about it.

Source: Sky Sports.

Hodgson says he still has a part, but Ridgewell looks close to West Brom, Shorey enjoyed his time here and knows fully well he'll be first choice.

Jonathan Parr to return on trial at Nottingham Forest in Portugal as McClaren searches for a cheap left back after being priced out of a bid for WBA full back Nicky Shorey.

Believable11 Unbelievable15

Why would Aalesund let Parr on a trial with Forest when they have important leaguematches? Stop posting this rubbish - get a life

Agree0 Disagree0

Would certainly like to see Parr return and get a contract although with the Norwegian league having their long winter break, this is the time they play their matches. However, if we were to bid for him after scouting, that'd be a good move for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Parr would be a brilliant left defender. Very fast and the future left defender for Norway. His contract is expirering in 6 mounths

Agree0 Disagree0

Forest will make 5 more signings before the start of the season. The club are in talks with Routledge from Newcastle, Jones from Wolves, Andrews from Blackburn, Shorey from West Brom, Maynard from Bristol City. We have alternate targets these include a couple from The Netherlands (not Verhoek) and some from Germany and France. Some of our first choice targets have turned us down but we are close to bringing in players and after the training camp in Portugal we will have a better idea of the squads capabilities.

Believable17 Unbelievable11

I can believe that we re talking to these players, and probably more......talk is cheap

Agree0 Disagree0

Andrews is incorrect. Pulled out of Maynard...too much arsing around. There is nothing concrete that I'm aware of re Germany, Holland or anywhere else in Europe....only enquiries. chunky_snowman

Forest have offered contracts to wayne routledge and zenden.

out of contract moussi to follow earnshaw out of the club and go to everton.

Lewis mcgugan going no where as the chairman has stated that he wants the team to be built around this talented midfielder.

Lee camp has also stated his intent to remain at the club and aston villa are now looking elsewhere.

Dexter blackstock could be ready to play again just after christmas if all goes to plan.

Centre backs Luke chambers and Wes morgan willing to remain at the club despite increased transfer speculation from reading and portsmouth.

Believable30 Unbelievable7

We'd have never sold McGoo for 1.5 million, serious disrespect on their part. We told Villa to f*** off and Chambo and Wes aren't going anywhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of Bull**t. You're clearly not a Forest fan.

Go back to your own rumours page.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do idiots like you post total s@?t like this.Where do you sit and dream it up?

Agree0 Disagree0

Are to off your head or something mate If your not gonna write something even close to the truth don't bother at all

Agree0 Disagree0

Ubbish if they all go we dont have enough players to field a team let alone survive...what crap you speak....you obviously live at the wrong end of the A52

Agree0 Disagree0

Garner and mcgoldrick may leave but the others are going nowhere fool

Agree0 Disagree0

Load of rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

So you have named 8 players that are 'leaving' there. That might reduce the debt but do you realise we will have to buy players to replace them?
I think your rumour is tripe and wish people would put genuine rumours on here and not stupid made up ones

Agree0 Disagree0

Why waste your time posting utter junk?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, I don't normally comment on things but most of this is utter crap.

You've picked up on a current rumour about Chambers, Gunter's under contract and worth a damn sight more than 1.5 million, Lewis is going nowhere unless someone offers silly money, likewise Camp. Moussi could go anywhere right now and I for one, wouldn't begrudge him if he moves to a Premiership club. Portsmouth have got less money than you allege we've got. Why would McGoldrick drop all the way down to League 2.

But well done on the Garner rumour. That was a real stretch to imagine the club he had a fairly successful loan spell with would be after him.

Agree0 Disagree0

All of the above will stay at the City Ground....
If any of them go it'll be on loan...

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps we could get 50 for the tea lady as well

Agree0 Disagree0

What a clown Get back to your own derby rumours

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes no doubt they will sell the starting 11 after paying Steve McLaren and pushing to get CC from hibs Lol no doubt your a dierby or fester fan ? They are in the business of buying players not selling em

Agree0 Disagree0

OK then and I guess you mean to tell us that derby will also thrive this year with their 'quality signings' you sheep

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter bull, you probs are not even a Forest fan and why would they sell when they only have 13 outfield players

Agree0 Disagree0

Doughty would recoup nothing if he sells an entire team and then needs to buy an entire new one... bull

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont be riduclulas go away back to ur derby page ...like garner is worth only 100 steve wants give him a chance gunter is worth double that wes morgan will never leave lee camp loves the club and aston villa r poised to sign shay given

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, and Lionel Messi is signing for Blackburn tomorrow for a Refresher bar.

Typical Derby/Leicester fan that has delusions that they're better than Forest. If you are, where have you been the last two seasons? Below us...

Derby are a small town in Matlock, and Leicester are a small town in Loughborough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course. Come and have a job Steve McClaren. Oh and by the way I'm going to sell the whole squad and you'll never work again after we are relegated. Fancy it? Come on in then. Ed, can't you censor this moron's posts?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wishful thinking sheep boy. At least our chairman is a real Forest fan not some jumped up go anywhere coporate yank.

Agree0 Disagree0

You must still be p***ed... WUM

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry, i am a forest fan, have been all my life, and to this rumour i say, nothing nd does would supries me.

Agree0 Disagree0

So we're going to sell the whole team then? Will Doughty, Marthur and Shteeve be dusting off their boots along with the catering staff? How about you just do one yeah?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes then forest are going to by the entire derby sqad for 50 grand and enjoy a relergation battle for the rest of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

We only have 13 or so first team players, so selling wouldnt recoup enough money and then you've only go to buy more players Noi Noi

Agree0 Disagree0

How on earth did this get accepted as a genuine rumour, obviously this person is not a forest fan and the censor who passed it should resign forthwith.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you need to go grazing in a field sheep boy. What a load of Sheep crap

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol you are mad. that would be all of our players sold

mcclaren has stated he does not want to sell any more players as we already have a good "nucleas" of players so therefore we will just be bringing players in from now on

Ed could u please give us some info on whether routledge has had or will definitely have a medical at forest? much appreciation {Ed001's Note - I am not sure if he has had a medical or not, I am sure that you have bid for him and have held serious talks with Newcastle over signing him. I expect him to join.}

Believable10 Unbelievable6

09 Jul 2011 23:52:05
Is it true that Routledge had a medical at Forest today?

Believable13 Unbelievable8

There's nothing on it other than here, so I'm not sure. My opinion of what's happened is, he went up to Newcastle for a last ditch contract attempt, Newcastle have too many good players and won't promise him first team football. Routledge wants first team football, and might be swayed by us...

It now looks unlikely that Colin Calderwood will join Nottingham forest, so Steve McClaren his turning his attentions to Wrexham Manager and ex forest player Dean Saunders to be his number two.

Believable11 Unbelievable11

Not bad. Saunders did well with Wrexham in the Blue Square last year, got them to the play-off beefore losing out to Luton.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd prefer Colin Cooper but to be honest I'd take anyone just so long as it is sorted out ASAP. I'm sure that once we've got the assistant in then the signings will shortly follow
